how you doing everyone it's Kevin I'm back with another video uh today we're going to be doing a video review on the Camp Lo it's a propane on demand hot water heater 20,000 BTUs they wanted to see an unboxing so I'm going to show you the boxes that it came in and it came packed very well not one of these boxes were dented or anything it came in this box first and then this box was inside that box so we're going to get everything out of the boxes get it set up and show you how to set up your camplux on demand hot water heater I think Julie and I are going to love this thing cuz we have a camper and we just took the shower out now we can go pick us up an outside shower and use this Camp Lux shower anywhere we like we're going to get started I'm just going to go ahead and get everything unboxed and we'll show you what you're going to get okay after opening the box and getting everything everything out everything was packed very well in this box no damage to nothing everything is even packed again after you take it out of the box into plastic so I'm going to continue getting all this out of these bags that way we could see exactly what we have here okay we're going to go over just some of the stuff here that comes with your portable one lb propane tank gas water heater all right in your box once you get everything opened you're going to get an owner's manual and this is something you're going to want to read and read over and maybe read over it again to make sure you understand it very clearly they say these things are not made for inside use so this is not something you'd want to put inside your house in and take a shower go over your owner's manual real well before you get started here I'm going to give you the basics on this and tell you a little bit about what I know uh once you unbox everything you're going to get your heater itself very light you're going to get your 12volt adapter this is going to be to charge your machine it's going to take about 3 hours to completely charge it this is your regulator for your one lb propane tank this is we're going to install all this everything is going to be installed so you understand this very clearly while I'm doing this video this is to hold your shower head you're going to put your hose on there this is actually just and a little adapter here and then you're going to have your hot water line this is going to go to this shower head and in that little in this we had two of these little O-rings we'll be installing these little O-rings and they're washers that go between this this piece they're just a little O-rings pretty simple anybody can do this and this you're going to plug this in to this piece and this this piece here is your little pump it's going to go into a bucket of water and that's what's going to pull the water through your machine and out your shower head very simple not a lot to this before we get to charging this guy up we're going to go ahead and put a couple things on here and get it out of the way and then we're going to get it charged up the first thing I'm going to do is find this little piece right here find that in your all amongst all your stuff that was in there and go ahead and pull the back off of this it'll just just unscrew now you have to be careful with this kind of stuff this has plastic threads on it and we don't want to strip them so when we mount it on our heater itself we want to make sure that the threads are nice and straight when we put it together and we never want to overtighten plastic so this is pretty simple little thing all you're going to do is slide it on put your little piece here back on like so and then go ahead and thread this piece up on here and like I said make sure you do not cross thread it if it doesn't feel right take it back off and do it again okay on our next step we're going to get the gas regulator and check your o-ring make sure your o-ring is in there and your black washer right here inside down in here is in good shape and both of mine look fine so we're going to go ahead and put this this is the back of our heater we're going to slide this in and there is an o-ring in there that will seal that up we're going to go ahead and get this guy snugged up and tighten it as tight as you can get it with your fingers it will be fine and that is about as tight as I'm going to get it so this is where your one lb propane tank that's actually going to heat your water hangs right off the bottom of this okay with all your attachments that you get you're going to see a little bag and it's going to have a couple O-rings in it you're going to use at least one of them inside of this piece here now this is the red hose and it hooks to your shower head right here what you're going to do is you're going to place one of these on here and then you will slide that up on there and go ahead and and snug this down now you're going to take this end of the hose now this is your shower hose this is what your water goes through when you take a shower and if you notice it's red so it's going to be the hot now if if you ever worked like a air compressor hose that is how this works you pull down on this and you push it in you let go and that's going to connect to the red one on the front of your tank right here so you're going to pull this little rubber piece off and then you're going to pull back on this slide it on and it will snap back up on so now our shower hose is connected once your shower hose is connected you can take take your piece and hang it right there off of the front if you like however you want it so we have this attached we have this piece attached on there now we have the regulator on this is our hot side now we have to go to our cold side now this piece here is what's going to push the water through the heater into this line and give you a shower so this has to be plugged in two times this has power also it has a connection now this connector here is the cold it is blue and it's going to work exactly the same way you're going to pull back on this push it on let go and it will snap on now we're going to go to the bottom here and pull the blue plug off take our line this is our cold water inlet line we're going to pull back on this and snap it on and you can actually feel that it locks on there both of them are locked on there really tight now this little piece right here this little wire right here this is what is going to run your pump and if you notice on the front it says pump right here there's a fuse right here in case something happens and it quits working you want to check your fuse over here it has your 12vt DC in this is where you're going to charge it this is where your pump is going to hook up now when you open these don't grab this and just rip it open put your fingernail underneath the bottom of this and pry it up so now our pump is hooked up and ready to go all we have yet to do is to hook up our charger I can plug this into my camper or into my car or into my truck anywhere that has that 12vt adapter we can plug this in and charge it up we're going to go ahead and get this guy charged up so we're going to plug this DC adapter we're going to pull on the bottom of the plug again slide it over to the side and we're going to plug our plug right inside there like so all right before you charge your machine make sure you go underneath of your machine you'll see a little switch right here in the back turn it to the own position position before you plug it in to charge it this has to be on in order for it to charge okay after turning the switch on and charging this guy up it's ready to go and you guys are so lucky I was going to go out and take a shower but it snowed last night and it's about 37° out there I don't think I'm taking a shower outside today you're just lucky so all we have left is to put on the propane tank and get us some fresh water okay this is where we're going to put our one lb propane tank slide it up in the bottom of your regulator and go ahead and tighten it up now you don't want to over tighten this and you don't want to cross thread it this is uh right-handed threads if it don't feel right back it off and do it again okay go ahead and snug your bottle up all right after snugging up your tank there a little bit you don't want to overtighten it you're going to go ahead and check for leaks you're going to use some soapy water just put it in a bottle and cover all the fittings up now this you want to do before you uh have any open Flames anywhere and if once you see there's no leaks no bubbles growing take a rag go ahead and wipe this back off if you find out you have a leak pull everything out check your seals make sure all your seals are in there and okay and then put it back together and then check it with the soapy water again so now what I'm going to do is I'm going to go ahead and take my cold water hose and as you can see this is where our pump is so we're going to drop this in a bucket of fresh clean water once you flipped your switch in the back on here is your power button go ahead and push your power button you're going to see two temperatures up here you have one here this is your Inlet temperature and this is your outlet temperature so this is what's going to come out of your shower head and this is what is going in your shower over here you have a pump this is how you're going to turn your pump on and this button right here this knob is to turn the temperature up and down all right now everything about this machine says do do not run it indoors okay there once you go over your owner's manual you'll find out there is a couple areas that you can use it indoors but they're asking you to have so much clearance from the ceiling up now uh we're going to go ahead and turn this thing on I'm going to turn my exhaust fan on because it's only about 29° outside right now and you can see the temperature outside uh I would much rather do this test outside than I would inside but we're going to go ahead and turn the exhaust fans on and we're going to fire this thing up and see what kind of temperatures we can get out of it so do not run this thing inside your house okay so I'm going to grab my shower head and one nice thing about the shower head is it does have an on and off you have an on and off and if the shower if you stop the shower it's going to stop heating once you start the shower it's it's going to start heating so we're going to go ahead and turn our machine on now if we want to get the pump to run on the right hand side you have a pump button right there so we're going to go ahead I'm not sure I think we're off right now but we're going to go ahead and push the pump and then I'm going to hold this and let some water come out [Applause] I'm going to turn that knob up I'm going to turn it up high now you can also change the settings on your shower here the button is right here on the side you can change your settings oh my goodness it's 93° already 81 81° that water is [Music] 81° Julie put your hand underneath here and fill that water oh yeah that feels nice ain't it yeah I'm going to turn it up okay we're going to shut it down now as soon as I shut it down you can hear the motor stop over there has a little smell to it too when you first yeah when you first start it up it's going to have just a little bit of a smell and be careful cuz this thing probably gets hot so we're going to go ahead and run some more water through this thing it doesn't take very long at all to start getting hot I want to give you guys a little closeup of the temperatures we're running at 50° water in 84° out you can watch this temperature here once it kicks on says [Music] 93° 82 right now it's 84 86 88 now as it goes it seems like it uh is getting warmer okay I have about two gallons of water left in a 5 gallon bucket uh I'm going to see how long it takes to run that 2 Gall out uh running this thing on high so I'll have Julie do the stopwatch for me um so what we're going to do is we're going to go ahead and fire it up and it as you noticed U the temperature on this thing didn't get above 88° it went to 93 and then went down to 88 so we're going to go ahead and we're going to start with the knob in the center the the heat uh knob this is where you turn your heat up and down we going to start it out with in the center and we're going to go ahead and turn the pump on and we're going to go ahead and start running sorry let me reset it that thing is touchy so we're going to go ahead and get ready to start running water ready wait a minute ready okay okay now that water right now it says it's says [Music] 88° so 2 gallons of water let's see how long it's going to take you're got to take a quick shower 2 gallon I think well you can so turn it off yeah you always soap up that's for sure we do that all the time any turn it off while you're soaping up so that water is saying 91° right there I'm going to go ahead and kick that water up that temperature I'm going to turn it on pretty much High I like a hot shower it says 93 yeah you could wet your hair and then turn it off soap up your hair turn it back on rinse like that that way it will save you oh yeah it's running at 95° right now that water is 95 on my on my heater up there I don't think it's do too bad actually no you might have close to 2 minutes maybe a gallon per minute if you left it on full you know the whole time we're still running at 95 on our heater over there see the steam coming off of it now yeah it's it's hotter now than it was a little bit ago now the machine might need to be broke in just a a little bit yeah you're going to get about 2 minutes out of two gallons so it looks to be about a gallon per minute but you can conserve it like we said shut it off while you're soaping up and then rinse off little over 2 minutes that's about it and now that water is at 97° now it seems like the longer I left it on the hotter that water got we're at 2 and 1/2 minutes M that's not bad that's actually pretty good I think almost 3 minutes I'm sure people's taking quick showers [Music] uh okay we're out of water and the temperature on that is 90 it was 97 it went down to 95 now we got 50° water coming into it all right we did our little test we got up to 97° of water coming out of there which some people might think that's kind of hot but I like a hot shower and I think the longer I ran the machine the hotter that water got so if you can take a shower in about 3 minutes a couple gallon of water is going to do you just fine but if you can serve by turning the on and off and I really like that having the on and off switch on there because that allows you to conserve that water if you can conserve water I'm going to say 2 and2 gallons of water is going to do a shower so 5 gallon two people I think that's what me and Julie used before when we took a shower it was about five gallons for both of us you wet down soap up and and that's it so we don't want to leave this machine uh like it is it is winter time we don't want these lines to freeze so we're going to go over how to drain all the lines put it away for when winter storage now don't forget before you fire your machine up don't be putting your hands on the side of this machine both sides have vents on it there's an inlet and an outlet and it gets hot cuz this thing's got that gas burning in there it gets very hot so don't touch the sides of your machine so let's get started getting this thing put away all right the first thing I'm going to do to uh get my machine ready to put away is I'm going to lift up the back of it and turn that little switch on the bottom off once I have that off I'm going to go ahead and unscrew my propane tank once your tank is off remember I told you keep your little cap put it back on the top of there that's the going to keep debris out of the inside now go ahead and take your regulator off there's our regulator now that we have our machine shut off and our tank taken off we're going to go ahead and pull our hot line off and now we have to pull back on this red piece here we're going to pull back and pop it off so what I'm going to do is go ahead and unscrew it from here right from the shower head don't lose your little your little piece here drain the water out of there we're going to make sure we get all the water out of the inside of this thing cuz whatever is in there if it's outside your camper it's going to turn to ice we want to get every bit of that out of there I can hear it in there listen okay they tell you to unhook these things and just drain them this little piece on the end here does not allow air to get in here to drain your hose so you're going to have to tilt your hose up put it in a bucket or whatever and kind of shake it until you get all the water out the inside let it come down shake it and keep doing that until you get all the water out of the inside now once you get that hose done this piece Here Comes completely apart you can take that take it off shake it out real good make sure there's no water in there if you want you could wipe the inside of it out if you'd like and then go ahead put your little Rubber seal back on here right on this piece here and go ahead and screw this on I think this is good in winterized so we're going to do the cold water now all we got to do is unplug the pump power supply pull back on our little lever this is going to be another one no air is going to get through here but our pump is down here so we're going to have to shake it until we know we got all the water out of that pump okay after shaking it for a while and getting all the the water and and you know what put it up to your ear shake it if you don't hear the water you probably got it all out all right for our machine uh what we're going to do now is we're going to lean the machine frontwards and we're going to drain all the water out of it it says lean it to the back I don't know if they're calling this the back or the front but what we're going to do is we're going to lean it back then we're going to dump it again we're going to do that a couple times to make sure we get all the water out the inside of this thing okay I think we got about all the water we're going to get out of the inside of the machine all right that is your camplux Nano 3 Pro you know you don't have to just use this for camping uh this shower can be used for a lot of other things than just going camping we do need it for our camper uh when we go places we know there's no showers we'll be able to still take a shower also if you want to Bath your pets outside instead of taking them inside and plugging up all your drains and washing them in your tub or your shower you can always take this outside and wash your pets outside uh one of the main reasons Julie and I wanted this portable shower is we lose our power all the time we've been without water for a week at a time and we've been without power at least ways in the last year for at least seven times in the last past year we've lost our power so our uh generator won't run enough electricity to heat the water so we can take a shower so normally we have to take a cold shower so with something like this we can set this up outside the back door and then we pick this up one of these utility shower tent right up outside the back door go ahead and hook up our camp lock shower and be able to take a shower that was the main reason we wanted but we also need it in the camper too so it's going to serve a couple purposes for us not just to take camping don't forget now I'm going to leave a link in the description if you're interested in one of these check them out as youve seen it worked great I think I gave you all the information you needed to get started with this guy so I would like to tell everyone thanks for watching the video don't forget to subscribe leave me thumbs up thumbs down or a comment if you'd like until next time
