Camping at Twin Lakes

okay so I think we're ready to go for our first adventure for the summer yeah first camping trip we're going to go camping with the trailer we're going to go to a little place called Twin Lakes and uh just going to take off here from South White AV and head out of the city it's this place is southwest of the city about an hour and a half so hopefully it's not too bad of a night it looks like it's going to be a decent night out hopefully the weather stays with us for tomorrow I guess fingers crossed yeah fingers crossed so we're going to hit the road and see how this goes see you there [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] is in in all look that m d we're here we're here we're in the forest yep it's awesome it is a nice spot nice Sky out tonight yeah looking pretty good hopefully weather holds out yeah have to go for a walk down by the lake later after dinner's cooked and stuff M stuffed peppers on the fire stuff peppers on the fire yeah so we have arrived at Twin lak's Campground and this is our spot we are in lucky number S I mean seven here we are all set up it's a beautiful evening and Troy is just cooking us some stuffed peppers on the Fire chopped up all the firewood already not all of it but most of it most of it got a nice little fire going just to make us dinner there's the chef we're all set up in the camper can't look inside yeah it's not ready and there's a 360 View and I'm going to go now and explore there we go [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] is supper ready yet it's almost ready you can hear him sizzling inside the packages I can't wait clothes you got to be getting clothes yum yum once this fire kind of dies down I'll let them sit for a bit and probably get dishes and whatnot ready to go [Music] [Music] oh good morning morning just going to sit down and have our breakfast some bacon and eggs M thanks Chef you're welcome last night we were so hungry when we got in here I made those stuffed peppers and we just sat down and ate and passed out basically yeah we sat down and ate our dinner and then we watched the fire for a bit then we came inside and watched our new TV DVD player new to us new to us got it all hooked up yesterday and it seems to be working the sound's coming out through the speakers and the stereo so it's working pretty good so thanks Papa Moroni for the TV yeah so we're going to sit down and enjoy our breakfast and then we'll see where the day goes stoking up the rocket stove that Troy and Tyler made he's a great little stove you put twigs and stuff in there and then you blow in there with there and then the fire stuff comes out here that's how it works see that's [Laughter] great that's the technical explanation wood air fire if you need one it could be custom made for you too we're supposed to have lots of rain today but luckily you yes the rain has gone away and it was only sprinkling for a little while so you know that's when you go and have a nap and when you're camping and we've napped and now we're back at it we're going to do some fire things cooking I I guess maybe for a walk by the lake or something like that first oh yeah yeah keep ourselves warm out here yeah after a morning of rainy days yeah yeah exactly and that's that J for now so there's a little bit of a break in the clouds you want to go for a walk down by the lake yeah I haven't seen the lake yet you kind of drove by it when we're coming in but let's go and check it out sounds like PL Dan don't go anywhere camper like Dustin destination vento says don't get stolen yeah exactly so this is one of the two lakes that call it Twin Lakes the other ones there when we came and checked this out the first first time we went over to the other side there's like an unimproved or unmaintained road that goes through the forest over that way and it takes you over to another Lake that's like just over on the other side of those trees over there is that the other twing yeah this is the other one of the two a diver Shack they do scuba diving and stuff in this Lake it's deep enough so a spot where people come doing snorkel and scuba diving out here if you're willing to get in these frigid Waters of Alberta Lakes look thank you can I watch I'm sure you could watch them go off the the pier and oh look above water diers yes I'm above water diver some aquatic types there guys [Music] out on the dock at Twin Lake it's nice little Lake too bad it wasn't it's such a nice day out get some breaks of sun here and there Birds getting definitely fishing for something yeah nice Lake really nice you can actually see the rocks on the bottom it's not somebody you can uh hear all the birds and all the animal and the trees and it's nice and quiet we're here on a Monday so it's a little different than a weekend but very nice very nice little Lake here this ising for I think told be allowed to come this site because we be able to yeah and then park the truck over there or something yeah these ones were booked or not not on like they were all off yeah maybe they're seasonal rentals it could be nice view though and and like the hole right yeah so on this far side of the campground there's one tiny little dayuse picnic area right on a any bitty little beach on the lake video for it's turning out to be quite the nice day out I think next time we come back we'll have to uh rent a kayak and go for a paddle mhm I wonder if you can bring a canoe oh you could bring your boat for sure if you had one yeah just says no it just says no gas engine so you could dock your own boat at your own risk according to that yeah but if you want you can rent one of their kayaks go for a little hour or so on the lake and just get across the other side right this is a nice little Campground M it's hour and a half out from Edmonton close enough you can get out to for an overnighter if you wanted to and it's super quiet in the middle of the week so really nice place [Laughter] [Music] yay it's almost dinner time making some steaks on on the fire going to have a steak salad for dinner tonight I think yum it keeps raining on us randomly and then through the sky you can see a little bit of blue in the distance so hopefully it's over for the night and we can enjoy some steaks some salad a little bit of a sit down by the fire hopefully tonight m [Music] [Music] so dinner is served and after not seeing last night's dinner we're here having steak salad tonight so I couldn't wait I'm hungry oh that's okay I'm hungry too I'm going to have it too we're the sun is breaking through the clouds again so we're just going to sit here and enjoy our dinner inside while the rain stops and then go back out and enjoy the fire for the rest of the night hopefully so Cheers Cheers tonight just enjoy the last night out here GL it's not raining yeah don't doubt it's turning out to be a nice night just going to finish up our night with a little movie some James Bond thanks to Dad and G a little TV screen and got a couple other components from some friends like an inverter so we're going to call it a night here tonight for the inverter we're going to call it a night [Music] [Applause]
