This provides a good analytical reasoning for understanding the origins of a religion. There is a point that they make of the dying son of man at the conclusion regarding the pagan myth. To die to our lower nature and resurrection to our higher nature as a personal growth. This keeps the freedom of the individual to be taken away from the central religious authority. Just so similar to the Hindu school of philosophy.
