Buying a PS3 in 2021

hey what's going on guys paul here and welcome to today's video in this video we will be going and trying to buy a playstation 3 in 2021 so we have arrived to the meetup location i have texted them before we left that we will be here on time haven't got a response yet but uh yeah i'll be paying 275 for it they were originally asking for 350 but we agreed on 275 so here i am waiting for them to come and then we will buy that and then after that we're going to be searching for gta 5. they did say they prefer cash but i didn't have time to get cash but they said they will take a transfer so hopefully that all goes well cute playstation oh yeah why is it so tiny i know right versus the ps5 box oh my god yeah this is the last of us it was one of my favorite games on the playstation 3 so wow can i hold it yes wait i wish my car was a bit cleaner yeah it is tiny you can see it's all brand new sealed it's the last of us one i don't know why am i so excited maybe i'm excited because last time i opened one of these was a long time ago it has a stand i don't think it's sold separately so with the ps5 i already have the uh warzone call of duty black ops cold war i have fortnite uh gta 5 and i think i'm very close to being maxed out on the storage but here we have the ps3 that says we can have like 3750 games let's go try to find a gta 5 for the playstation 3. what about gta 4 we could get that too yeah why not this is like something i don't think i'm ever getting rid of because the playstation was free like to play it's just still free i wonder uh you didn't have to pay for playstation plus to play did i ever have a playstation 3 i think i did yeah you did oh my god yeah memories are gonna come yeah i know i cannot wait to open this it's been wild the last time it was like before ps4 came out i believe when i unboxed one of these no why are you so dramatic look at my pants i love your shoes i bought them for you first location hopefully they have it you can find ps5 stuff but you cannot find uh that's not looking too good just came to grab something to eat and then we will be off to another location and then my junior chicken drinks are so expensive nowadays yeah like no any one dollar coffee day so we gotta get this they do not have one so pretty much everyone is like nope no ps3 game which is i mean i honestly have zero hope finding one i haven't seen them for a very long time this one definitely we have to buy from someone else just like the ps3 i don't think i'll find a brand new one but we'll be looking for a gta 5 or ps3 on marketplace on facebook and hopefully we'll find it no facebook marketplace time so i've been contacting some of the sellers who are selling gta 5 and i haven't gotten any response yet so hopefully someone will reply well we just got it i actually ended up getting a deal so i got a black ops with it both for 21 bucks with tax and here it is guys we went couple walmarts and we couldn't find any gta 5 but uh i was able to find one pre-owned nobody responded to me on facebook marketplace but at least we do have a brand new playstation 5. and here i have the playstation 3 the last of us on top of my table that's we're gonna be unboxing it you can see here one of the highest rated ps3 games in history with 42 perfect scores and honestly it is like one of the best games if you haven't played the last of us definitely give it a try and the last of us part 2 was also an amazing game i played it on the ps4 i also did an unboxing with the ellie's edition collector's edition all that stuff you can see here we do have the ps3 over here got the dualshock 3 controller the last of this game of course 500 gigabyte sony ps3 the playstation logo got the beautiful artwork here with ellie and then we also have joel over here here's the top of the box ps3 of course it's sealed contents we have the system we have the last of us blu-ray disc dualshock 3 wireless controller ac power cord av cable usb cable printed materials i honestly forgot how these ps3s were even packed back in the day in this box but yeah 500 gigabyte again you can see here 3750 games 300 movies 110 000 songs 80 000 photos here's the back of the box the ps3 system brings you to the complete entertainment experience and then here it says get the ultimate audio advantage with the last of us sound mode this is the playstation stereo headset the pulse now let's get this opened all right so we do have a box inside of a box which is sealed as you can see it's kind of surprising how small the box is here for the playstation 3 versus the ps5 box that that one's huge that's what the box looks like here's the back of it let's open this up as well so the seal actually goes even here there we go all right so here's what that looks like opening this up we have the dualshock 3 right over here this one is the charging cable for the controller got the power cable and then wow it's been a while with these composite cables i think av cables opening this up and then here it kind of showed the existing ps3 and then this was the newer system back in the day i used to have one of these as well i did have one of these also but it's been a very long time some instructions pick this up okay nothing else in the box got the the last of us right over here it's also sealed instructions take a look at these av cables so here's the av cable got the orange red and white thankfully this does have hdmi so don't really have to use this i don't even know if my tv has this got the power cable of course here's a closer look and then we have the usb cable for the controller it's got the usb end and then i believe this is mini usb to charge the dualshock 3 and here we have the wireless controller and wow i'm holding this after the ps5 controller is definitely a lot different let's feel smaller in the hand i don't even remember like i think when ps4 came out probably a couple months after is the last time i hold the ps3 controller but there it is got the select start the playstation button i think these used to light up it's probably dead it's been a long time this was even in the box but yeah the charging port right there six axes triggers here all right wow and finally let's take a look at the ps3 itself got a nice shiny finish right there and here that's what it looks like i you have a tape over here we need to peel maybe i should go from here should be easier there we go and put these away okay so here at the front you can see have sony got the eject so pushing this that's slides out you insert the disk right here and then you close it got the power button playstation emblem right there blu-ray dvd two usb ports right there here's the left side with the playstation logo i believe this is for the stand so this comes off and then that's for the stand which is sold separately which it does say on the box there we go perfect got a nice texture finish here it's definitely a really cool experience to open something that you opened years ago here at the back you can see there's the power port got the av port optical hdmi and there's also the internet port there's also the vents in the back here's the bottom so it's much smaller piece and we have the glossiness right there so that's kind of what that looks like so i have call of duty black ops one of my favorite call of duty's of all time uh it's not in its best shape i should say it looks like let's see actually not too bad the case is uh needs a bit cleaning and then we have gta 5 right here yeah not too bad but yeah let's get this set up so here's the playstation 3 controller i got the playstation 4 controller and then of course we have the playstation 5 controller and that's the ps5 next to the ps3 and you can see the ps5 is massive now the ps3 did not come with uh an hdmi cable but thankfully i do have many of them so let's plug it in next we have the power cable so that will go right here we have a light on the ps3 then we have the dualshock 3 charging cable so that will go here then we'll just plug it in right here okay so we do have the controller plugged in as you can see it's all blinking so let's push the playstation button there we go okay so we're gonna select english and available hdmi device was detected yes this is just much nicer now let's hit yes it's gonna be up here there we go here we have the date and time 220 so it's 2 20 am and then we go next we have user i think i go here for that there we go and then we'll hit ok i think it was the start so looks right we'll hit enter adjust the settings for connecting to the internet so we'll hit next so we have the option for a wired connection as well as wireless so we're going to go with wireless we can scan enter manually so we'll scan okay just connect it to my wi-fi so internet connection settings have been completed so hit ok my speaker was off but there we go now we have audio so you have the option under users to turn off the system we have these settings got the photo here music video netflix the saved data here internet browser have the psn of course that we can sign into the friends we can change the theme so color here we can go whichever one we want if we want to go with blue we can do so there we go okay so it did recognize grand theft auto 5 and it's going to be installing so we'll wait all this to be done and then later we'll just be in the game and here we have gta 5 running on this playstation 3. i just passed the first mission it's working really nice and smooth and if i go here to the menu uh you can see that the disk will be replaced with graphic.5 just like that which is nice and then we go up here we can also quit the game but yeah gta 5 was running pretty awesome past the first mission and that's pretty much it
