Buying a New Ditch Witch Mini Skid Steer? (Watch This First)

i'ma tell it to you like it is i'm going to give you the exact truth i will not exaggerate anything okay this is exactly what happened today with ditch fish ever since day one ever since i started applewood i've been a very big advocate of ditch witch i've loved their product i've purchased the sk850 when i didn't have a lot of money that was my really big first purchase and i've made so many videos hundreds of videos of the ditch which being in it being used i've literally had people reach out to me and say yo t because i saw you using the ditch witch i decided to go buy one i've had hundreds of people telling me that literally and you know as a youtuber as an influencer as a person that has like influence on the industry i got to come out and i got to tell you my true experience with ditch switch because yes that my sk850 was great it had very little problems you know the track pops off every now and then but that's like maintenance stuff nothing mechanical ever broke down on that thing you know like a little starter here started there no big deal but my new one my sk1550 that i just purchased in november for like 55 60 000 bucks this thing has been the biggest piece of garbage i've ever used in my entire life complete trash and i gotta tell you i've reached out to ditch witch i reached out to the corporate steve jurgens the guy that's in charge of ditch which west somebody right my ditch which dealer my salesman i've reached out to all of them three times the same problem has come up three times now you'd be like t why is this machine a piece of garbage i thought you really liked ditch witch well little johnny let me tell you because i got to tell you the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth i bought my machine in november the 1550. in january it had like 25 hours on it the hub pops off breaks off so they felt bad and they decided you know what t we're gonna demo you the sk 3000 because it shouldn't have happened the machine at 25 30 hours on it is what it is let us fix that a little bit so they brought the sk 3000 i got to play with it here's some footage of that machine's actually pretty cool [Music] this compared to a 259 i don't know if i would do this because i'm just like this is like i've only played with it like 10 minutes i don't really know but i'm very impressed so curtis was nice enough he's like hey you want to demo this i said yeah of course i want to demo this and this thing is pretty sweet it's a monster and one thing i had a question is will it dump inside the semi truck and these guys were nice enough to wait here and they're like yeah we're waiting for the semi-truck to come we just tried it obviously you saw it worked thank you very much for the demo appreciate it now you're watching you're like damn dude this thing's pretty cool and it is pretty cool it's a big huge monster and it's very strong but that same day the same time they were about getting ready to leave this happens check this out literally as we were talking in that little segment where i was telling about the salesman my uh my foreman facetimes me and this is what happened look at this i get it facetime and it's not even his face he didn't say anything he's just pointing right at it look at this the exact same thing that happened to the right side happened to the left side and these guys said that they torqued it they did everything right it's unbelievable did switch down this is this sucks this is like this thing is 50 hours on it and it sucks yeah stitch which is great but like maybe they gave me a lemon i don't know but this this is a very big inconvenience and my sk850 is broken right now it's in the shop as well this is not looking good for ditch witch on youtube i'm usually very happy i'm like life is easy all that stuff and it is don't get me wrong life is pretty good life's pretty easy i like i like the way it is but this was a very frustrating day so all in one day my sk850 is down it's broken they delivered the wrong parts because they absolutely don't know how to coordinate with the with the parts department sk850 gone sk 1550 broke for the second time right next they wanted to demo me the sk 3000 so they brought it here as they were unloading it the oil line blows up it starts leaking oil so now i have no machines three machines completely gone toast and then to top it all off the cherry on top two guys just try to rob me literally so long story short i did call the cops on these guys they came i mean i walked up to them stupid of me to do that but i was like what are you guys doing and they're like what what what what where they started talking smack to me and i was like okay i'm not gonna win i just backed off called the 5-0 police came the police knew exactly who they were and they're like do you want to place charges i'm like absolutely that one day that one particular tuesday was a bit of a crazy nut case because everything just snowballed into it and i was pretty frustrated so i'm usually not like this on youtube but here is my genuine reaction from that day a week ago my sk850 the pin on the arm broke it has over a thousand hours so it's a normal wear and tear part that's fine i took it to the dealership they ordered the part the part will arrive in two days i said all right great i called them back three days later i said hey is my machine ready for pickup the guy said the company shipped the wrong part we have to wait another two days he said it'll be ready next week it is this week right now the machine is still not ready and then the 1550 on the right side the sprocket completely fell off gone curtis was nice enough to come in he brought his own trailer he took the machine and then they said hey we're gonna fix this machine ground is covered under warranty like ground freight is covered under warranty but if you would like to have the machine back to you sooner you can pay for two day shipping or next day shipping and i said well what's what's the price and he said 200 and i said okay just do that give me the machine back as soon as possible because literally i'm losing money and the thing is like they don't even have loaners for this type of thing they don't have them so i'm like dude why would you guys even call me and ask me that if the machine will be ready in two weeks you know i need this thing i just bought it that's 50 hours and i was like get me the fastest shipping possible i need this machine now so they charged me 200 for freight which i have a problem with and i even told curtis that's a problem the machine is broken now i took the machine and i paid for the 10 hour maintenance i paid for the 50 hour maintenance and the 100 hour maintenance so i don't have to bring it back in 40 hours so they charged me another 400 for that which i really i'm gonna go and tell them they need to credit me all that money for the sk850 now they took the machine they torqued all the bolts everything they torqued everything they fixed the right side because it's completely brand new they did a nice job and on the left sprocket the drivetrain sprocket i saw they put loctite on there they torqued everything and today as we're demoing the 3000 boom this happens literally as we're demo i'm facetiming my guy and i show curtis i'm like look at this and he's like oh my god they came over here he just left he's gonna go pick up his trailers and come back get the machine the problem here is they do have a good machine the ditch which is great my sk850 it never broke down this is like i think this is a lemon i really do because my my my other ditch no problems funny enough the other salesman he said hey t do you want do you want me to take this back to the dealership and i can let you demo the sk3000 here you drive it around i said man that'd be awesome thank you so much they get it here they're unloading it he's like i can't i can't give this machine to you it has a leak i'm like what and he's like there's some kind of leak on it the machine has like five hours i'm like bro are you kidding me he's like yeah now i really do like ditch witch but this i'm telling you the truth this is exactly what happens this is a problem and now i don't have my little machine because it's not fixed because they got the wrong part and this machine now is out for the entire week do you see the problem and here's the solution have loaners don't sell all these machines you should always have two of each like you're a massive million dollar you're a massive hundreds of million dollar company you can afford to have two machines sitting there that are not for sale there are loaners only to take care of your customers right now if that happened to my caterpillar my 259 i take that in it's broken they give me a loaner if it's covered under warranty obviously if i want to go and take it in something happened to the track maintenance thing they wouldn't give me a loaner they would ask me if i want to borrow it they wouldn't give me a loaner that asked me if i wanted to borrow it but the thing is caterpillar always takes care of you ditchwitch it needs to improve their customer service game this is a big problem it really is so so the general managers watching for the people in charge watching take care of your customers this is an issue now i don't have my little machine or this machine i am out two weeks this is a big part of my business and right now i'm losing tons of money so that is what it is that is my genuine reaction a couple things i do want to say to ditch which i know ditch which is watching steve the first thing is before ditch which was acquired by toro and then transitioned to pape i don't know however they did it for the west coast district is actually very good with service but as soon as it got acquired by toro it went completely to garbage complete trash everything in that store is just the worst the parts horrible the service the worst curtis is good curtis is a guy like her chris is a good dude he's a good salesman it's just everything else is complete garbage like you guys need to seriously improve on something because it is just not working out the people pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for these machines and they expect service and you guys don't provide service if something happens to my caterpillar and i take it into caterpillar literally they will have that machine fixed as fast as possible why because they have a whole shop of employees working and these guys are very very well trained i bought a machine for 55 60 grand and i'm stuck with not once not one time the hub breaking not twice the hub was breaking but today as of making this video the hub broke again third time here's a video of that not once not twice but sure enough a third time third time look at that already again popping off this is what it's not supposed to look like right there this is what it's supposed to look like unbelievable so i know that everyone's experience is gonna be a little bit different and um i know that the east coast and the west coast are different but i'm just telling you my experience with it and like i can't i can't continue to endorse their new products like the 1550 that are just complete garbage and they just can't figure out a way to get these hubs to stay number one the design is horrible horrible and the new 3000 like what's up with that the machine's brand new that thing's like 80 grand i don't even know how much it is but why is the oil breaking the oil line breaking why is it leaking oil the thing's brand new it had like three hours on it this is insane my old ditch which the sk850 the one that i bought in 2016 i actually loved that machine because it had very very very little problems absolutely very little problems the track pops off at one time the little fuse thing was broken whatever i mean little stuff you know you bring it in there they fix it they used to fix things so much faster in 2016-17 now i bring in an 850 it'll take him two weeks to fix the dumbest thing like a little little alternator or some some kind of belt breaks off it takes them two weeks mainly because they never have parts never have parts they have to order parts and once they order parts the parts come in oh hey tigran uh i just want to let you know that we ordered the parts but the parts department sent in the wrong parts so we're gonna have to we're gonna have to order the new parts and it's gonna be another two weeks are you kidding me dude i really wanted to tell you the truth the whole truth nothing but the truth ditch which the new ditch witches are not the best i'm not gonna lie not the best super disappointed but anyway thanks for watching see you on the next one and if you
