Bush Pilot STOL Competition - Plane Fun Days 2019

today we are on our way to North Carolina to see family and old friends at the annual plain fun days fly-in some folks say half the fun of any trip is how you get there so we took the scenic mountain route to enjoy the beautiful views and fall colors we hope you enjoyed these views as much as we did [Music] hi folks we're here in this beautiful valley and Brasstown North Carolina for the 2019 plain fun days weekend we're gonna have a lot of plain fun so stick around and enjoy this is Wayne Whitley I'm a retired computer design engineer and now I create adventure videos for fun come along with me and enjoy this with me videos adventure [Music] plain fun days is an annual event for the just aircraft family of owners builders pilots and friends to share old memories and create new ones together in this little piece of heaven called brass town North Carolina this event is hosted by Billy and Vic came a plain fun aircraft an authorized just aircraft distributor who builds airplanes from kits and provides flight training for their customers this event is also supported by just aircraft and with staff in risk owner Gary Schmitt having some fun with his super stole before the crowd arrives [Music] now it's Billy Payne's turn to get into the action with his super stole named Rambo you know this could turn into a safe but friendly competition [Music] here is a new visitor this year to plain fun days from South Georgia please welcome the swamp monster [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] more arrivals on Friday and anticipation of the games on Saturday [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] my brother wes arrives from Florida with corporate pilot LEM [Music] what a fine-looking airplane beautiful [Music] [Music] Saturday begins with more rivals and fun flying before the games [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] roll cameras let the games begin the first game is limbo the pilot must fly under the ribbon without breaking it or touching the ground [Music] [Music] [Music] the ribbon is lowered after each round until the last pilot has successfully passed under the ribbon [Music] [Music] fresh-ground traffic except on the 101 court yankee flight of two they're currently nine to the eat that bound for landing full stop hey hey was call Gary is that Chris with you alright man about time you got here runway one eight yeah you'll come in on one age is it busy guys the pattern Pole nobody's up yet but we'll fix them to do a short takeoff and landing thing so you guys if you come in and we're in the pattern work yeah just talk something right now we'll get you in breast John shaft like one for Yankee is flight of two four mile to the devil take off and then just do a pattern and come back and land on one eight but do a big pattern so everybody can take off then everybody can land and we'll do that three times yeah I'm all right with it we'll go this time and then we'll come in and go ahead and start our short landing on that line defecates needle line we can see where the grass is cut there at the edge of the runway there you want to go first [Music] [Music] you got off really short but you touched back down so D ya know 124 [Music] [Music] [Music] I was 126 and a half days that's that's yes 126 and a half but you just made all the big horsepower Greeks the best is till 124 yeah Gary still got him hi this is Landon the short mike is kicking button people this better do something Kerry I think it tells you younger than us thank you that's the reason I think it's cause you don't have a 900-pound airplane 104 on that last one how does a good 50 booters you just spit up 20 more feet [Music] [Music] here's about seven feet of the shortest one look black box he Williams again well that's good that's the target ever watch the drop one day when we get poor down get two pins what we're dropping them on this whole wheeler over here yeah they're just like you were doing on a break off but slanted but drop it on the four-wheeler we'll do it at that sadder short count only does it count if it's short of the vehicle awesome see so far you're a bummer here has come the closest who's maybe eight feet from the wow that's pretty good yep how far was a tricycle-gear airplane I'm trying to get them to get lower this time hopefully hey yeah tricycle after face whatever can you get lower this time that will help you Bombardier good yeah we're about 75 feet on line up senator are you looking much better this time [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Bob's gonna help my family yeah I'm ready Pilate blows go [Music] this is hold for Bob don't worry he's I'm chillin like a villain all right Ralph good on you late bloomer [Music] Bailey I'm all coming in Timonium you know if fate hold short you ready to go on you Roger letting you go now this blue Papa thing is real fun I gotta say [Music] some days you just can't miss that's right on fire today boys it's all what though a proper -
