Burning Straw!! Residue Management

[Music] hey everybody how's it going I'm an old smokey we're smoking today I need you see hot offset discs here and we're doing another I made this fire guard but I wanted to make it a little bit wider because I was burning yesterday and I didn't of course I was to some dead last beside the road I decided to bring old smokey here with the heavier disc and we do it and I tried to start trying to start the night at least I did today something with the starter again that's like an ongoing issue with that tractor so I got a case coming out - okay I'm thinking that we were thinking maybe it's something in the steering column with the ignition but we'll see that's as crazy does that two or three times every year but yeah we're gonna set this on fire boy it's gonna be a big one it's not as windy today as it was yesterday I was burning the peas yesterday and I thought it was a little and it burns all right you need a little bit of it a little bit wet here but well difference a few days makes I couldn't get this close and I could a little closer here [Music] [Music] Shawn I did some work on this dish yesterday it was froze down at a later time we tried to move it we busted the frame we have to get rid of the way because the male's have to go they're smarter than [Music] well it had a crack in the frame there and it all welded up and displayed it but I got it all pretty good now I want to do it more when I ran out of oxygen anyway this is where I want to do it a little bit more by the art site and it's wet here [Music] spooky I put you air conditioning refrigerant very cool I think I mean a disk disk this all out here at all I'm just gonna burn I swear I didn't get it bailed straw it's it's a pain here but this disc is very good pretty good I'll probably hit the back forgiveness we'll just make it a little wider here [Music] [Music] not bad [Music] and then I want to burn it up next get a little bit more on this into you so it's going to jump in tight knees rush here it'll take off never got there tell it was pretty wet when I was pretty lovely now take this wider I think I went twice here well anyway meet you on the other side well Sean and I took the torch and we just went on the side that the wind is the direction the wind is on to do a back burn so burn to gain to disking pal it's gonna slowly work its way back this way which is alright get a ghoul on that side a Chad I'm not gonna go all the way I'm gonna go down in increments and light it [Music] you just want to make sure it doesn't catch on any of this before you light it again oh that's more fire-lit here wind is kind of dead behind here but I think it's more open out there it went kind of it's not too bad they can see the smoke from town which is about 20 kilometers away I already alerted the fire department that I was worthy I have a friend at the fire department so I know all right and I did a backward this way because I thought the wind would shift we will light some more here well I ran out of firestarter so I'll wait for Sean straight south wind then it's south east kind of swirls around so I caught a disc top right down the middle - so I never wanted to change directions is this that way - if the plane sees the smoke [Music] pretty dark no cloud burning a flag around here [Music] [Music] well we went rang around the whole thing now so it's all coming this way really dark over there boy I actually hate burning [Music] rachel is right I'm not gonna start anymore I'm just gonna walk it down all right that didn't take long good thing I made a back burn there cuz it sure got the fire makes its own wind but it's done here well we just have this little corner to do something guys doing it by hand so I'm just pulling around and light the little spot fires cuz I don't want to carry the propane tones too heavy and that's the battery went dead on the floor a new battery for it and the fan is running sucks all the juice out so I shut it off over there and that was it dad went to get me some booster cables winter steam I'm like east wind and that is northeast and then it's west that make up its mind you gotta block the wind Shawn no the wind is coming from that way so you got to block it on that side there you go you can see that all burnt pretty nicely over there and when we were going around lighting it all around the perimeter by the time we got back to over here it was already at us didn't take long I really wasn't doing that much on that side so this this side I just figured on its get her over with over and done so we're done burning Wow a little bit there I lit because there was a road there and it didn't want to cross the road so it's funny you disc this 100 foot fire guard and it doesn't want to cross a 8 foot do wheel tracks so yeah pretty good job I'll just run heavy heroes around it probably have to run the disk around here some places but heavy arrows and already seed canola okay well that's a burden straw or stubble whatever you want to call it so thanks for watching leave your comments down below and we'll talk to you later and don't forget to subscribe [Music]
