Building Our 16' x 24' Cabin In Wasilla Alaska

hey welcome back to the channel and today we're going to take a trip down memory lane from the time when we built our cabin just outside of wasilla alaska so uh hit that like button subscribe hit the bell for notifications comment uh certainly appreciate you coming back to the channel so sit back relax and enjoy [Music] it took us a while to find a spot to build a cabin but eventually we did we found a little place just outside of wasilla alaska that we purchased through the state of alaska and this ended up being the spot where we built our cabin there were a lot of trees that we had to deal with begin and we had a lot of friends help out uh putting in the driveway [Music] [Music] and we had a lot of family members come up [Music] it probably took us about a month to clear all the trees and dig out the stumps [Music] it's been so cold without you here we barely say goodbye before [Music] try to figure out a way to put our past aside i've realized i only want you i hope it's not too late i want you back here with me we never should have said it's better this way [Music] i'd rather be [Music] [Music] say that you say [Music] huh [Music] and here uh we put in our first post hole and my father-in-law given a thumbs up [Music] look out here she comes [Music] the woman that i love [Music] we used a plan that we purchased offline uh just a very simple cabin build a 16 by 24. and i had a [Music] i loft for her but she won't feel the same for me i've got this picture in my mind it's just the tools just the two of us but i know i have to try to try to let her go because she won't be mine i listen when [Music] but she will never know [Music] [Applause] [Music] she [Music] it's like she stole my heart [Music] without knowing she did but i guess that it will pass yeah i can't be the only one who got lost inside the blue of those eyes [Music] she's given me these feelings [Music] [Music] know [Music] i can try [Music] who am i without stories that aren't mine what i did to achieve you gave me air i thought i had to i'm untrue it's not pretty the truth hurts [Music] and you stayed on the ground while i was high yes you probably the messiest part of the job was the drywall now i don't know what to say i expect you to leave [Music] and we had some old kitchen cabinets that came out of another family member's home when they remodeled their kitchen that we were able to [Music] of the use i'm pretending to be but i'm more afraid to tell you i'm less than you see [Music] cause baby [Music] [Applause] [Music] that you [Music] putting in electrical was a big turning point not having to use the generator anymore was really nice then came time to install the well and the water line to the cabin we ended up having to go 10 feet deep to stay below the frost [Music] be unheard line [Music] first time i ever saw you i fell in love when you enter the room and when the light hits your face we were just kids but i knew right away that i will be with you until i stop breathing i will keep loving you as long as my heart's beating oh i don't know what i would do without you you are the one i chose [Music] [Music] even though here's a gunfight i'm still in love with the way that you smile and when i look in your eyes i know that i will be with you the rest of my life i will keep loving you at this point we were mostly done with the inside just a basic kitchen [Music] [Music] you know it was about uh 480 square feet of the living [Music] [Music] and space used a compost toilet in the cabin [Music] [Music]
