we wanted to make a family home for the new growing together pack but you know your girls can't just do something simple so we're pushing it to the max of the lot that's right eight Sims eight story one if y'all didn't know you can't actually build an eight-story tall house in The Sims but you can build four above ground and four below ground this feels like an immediate mistake oh it for sure is we could go row like boats no like row house that's a good idea you know it wasn't just mine I did kind of cheat oh oh No Just go back over let's go back over wow you did that all yourself yeah it just came to me what if we do something we've never done before a stable okay okay somebody's got horses on the mind the hits are everywhere I'm thinking garage isn't there totally a garage door in base game debug oh yeah yeah oh that's so good feels a little tall like this should already be the roof it's giving roof energy do you think we could just squeeze in a little attic up here instead well that would be magical I guess whenever you add a roof completely over a room unfortunately it means that it won't let you look into it but there is a fix just grab your half gabled roofs and put them on either side then go up a level and this is where you grab your gabled roof and you just go ahead and put that on just the top that doesn't look quite right and then you match the pitch now you are able to see in to the attic oh that looks good can we have the new siding oh yeah oh yeah I do love the new wood swatches on this one but we could go for a fun color or we could go green sounds like we're gonna go green yeah the doors and windows for this pack are kind of our new favorites I just love all the little details like that window that ledge my heart so beautiful this part feels blank Circle window Fender why do you still sound so unhappy there's more stop we could try the new shake it comes in the same green now that's the stuff so we had a little bike out front it's actually at the perfect tree lean angle that's the scientifically correct terminology thank you for using it can you believe this is four stories and it doesn't even look weird so we like green to us yeah with money that's green okay where do we start well where's that Darlene let's find out I've had this like vision of a giant staircase that goes all the way from the top all the way down to the bottom you could try a super curved one and throw it here I like that the new railing adds a lot of character yeah we're like making our own spiral staircase living in this house you would be dizzy constantly but you would get your steps in like super easy grab the new Arch and put it here look at those windows that would be the part you're most interested in inside windows it's gonna be an awkward layout for the kitchen in here let's pick a rug because then it'll help us decide where everything goes and what the color scheme is wow that's a lot for one rug pretty pretty pretty surprise surprise we like a new rug a blue one is kind of speaking to me though you know what we never use enough blue and I actually think that there is a blue cabinet in base game not this one though oh no anything but that look at these appliances honestly before this I thought I didn't like care what appliances looked like I was like a stoves of stove but no I care and it's because I like these in my mind this is a generational home that keeps getting passed down and that's why it's like got this mix of original details but also contemporary styling because of the current residence I'm pleasantly surprised about the modern Decor in this pack like these chairs this light and these plants yeah except I wish they hadn't grouped them all together okay yeah that's a bummer I would like them all individually better okay well that just sounds like you want more plants I am not denying that oh wait one of them is a baby we do not have a high chair well maybe that's what this room is for you want to banish the baby to a dark corner little room really to think of his private dining Cafe baby or I'm thinking over in this corner might be a bit better a little bit more boring but we do need to figure out this since we actually have so little counter space in the kitchen maybe we can actually make this like a Butler's Pantry with this many Sims in one house the dishwasher is going to be a lifesaver honestly I think a coffee maker might be more important than true true the cookie jar feels like it has to go in here what if we put it on top of the fridge as if the parents are like hiding it from the reach of little hands it does have the lid open so that makes me feel like somebody has succeeded in a cookie Heist that's the first level of eight done the colors feel so warm and family here that's about it oh homie that's it yeah I think this level should be the kids domain it feels cruel to put them underground but you don't want a baby bunker oh I don't want a baby Booker that's weird I'm most excited about the nursery because of infant so save the best for last I'm a firm believer in the best for first things we gotta have in here a crib a changing table and this little fox basket because it's the cutest thing I've ever seen on hold on I'm glad then we've got a few different options for cribs it's nice that they also match some of the base game furniture that we already have I do feel like this is the missed opportunity of this pack like it needs a set of new kids wallpapers yeah I mean at least we still have gingham oh no that's kind of cute we got something here the new curtains are huge and with like tiny little bomb dogs when you're adding the new changing tables go into the trash cans and you can grab the new diaper pail it Clips directly on this way whenever you're changing your baby the diaper will go directly into the trash can otherwise those monsters will just throw it on the floor disgusting so we've got two options for rocking chairs I like that one you don't like this one I like that one but that's an easy choice I wish we had a place to put the Llama when we were kids we actually had a rocking llama that was given to our parents okay but you forgot the most important bit it was a two-headed llama like from Doctor Doolittle right I think it was two oh no no immediate no no no Fox is on the rug on the lamp Fox on the rattle and this little sheep seat one of those doesn't quite fit the theme it fits it to me never forget to check debug when there's a new expansion pack you can find that by putting in BB dot show hidden objects and BB dot show live edit objects because it has stuff like this adorable hand print in there this is our first Nursery ever it is not gonna be the last I have a million ideas like I want to do a counting sheep theme with that cheap seat this is gonna be a problematic now that I got the infant squared away I think that we need to do one for the kid and toddler how come we've never done a dinosaur room before you are gonna lose it over this rug I'm very into the dinosaur theme I have to do the dinosaur theme I cannot wait to do the dinosaur theme the fact that the toddler beds can clip under the bunk beds is precious why is it so much but things are so much smaller I want this window to be a moment hating that okay wait I'm not done I'm gonna raise this platform a couple of times delete the wall loving that still not done wait let it cook I'm gonna shove this ottoman in there add some trim and flooring to match and there you go the cutest little Nookie evidence see oh I'm gonna put books there speaking of books there is something that I wanted to add that I saw from the trailer these bookcases were actually made for the library lot in town and they come in three pieces you have this main middle piece and then these curved in pieces and if you take the curved piece it fits perfectly at the end of the single bed oh I love how that finishes it off and it's like a really good use of space we've gotta have some cute stuffed animal dinosaurs right and kind of terrifying is looming over the toddler bed and we've got this one too literal light bulb moment if we size this Dino up it will be the perfect lamp base stop I'm obsessed HGTV who HDTV new backpack alert new backpack alert this is not a drill this is not a drill there's a dinosaur one I really want another activity in here and I like the idea of this being a musical family that might just be because our family is musical it's true our dad plays the guitar and our mom was a piano teacher for a long time and all of us siblings either play an instrument or sing kind of well the violin works in the kid's room but what about the baby uh we did add the rattle they're the entire percussion section wow wow wow if you can't tell we like it be nice to add a kid's bathroom up here a really long bathroom it's spacious sure that shower tub combo though is gonna tuck perfectly back in there this might be a top reason to get the pack if you're interested in building like us because this is the best looking one of these in the game this title is fun for a kids space love the color I also like how far the tile goes up it's gonna be great for backsplashes oh we can put a double sink here it does feel like this area is just kind of wasted space though can we wrap around a little wrap around a little wrap around nice and there's a little counter to clutter that was always the goal since we did a double sink should we do double toilets I'm not sure about the conversation sweetheart toilets pretty efficient we do have to add like a toddler potty in here so you're kind of getting your dream he's so happy about it I've wanted towels on towel hooks for a while now it's so laid back and cool we don't have any like washcloths in base game but if you take one of these folded bath towels and size it down it's a pretty good look-alike and what we need is a hanging plant in very scary want or need need this corner is screaming for it can't forget the rubber ducky I like adding kids pieces to like these things that could look more adult it really adds to the atmosphere the adds all right he is the atmosphere and that's the bathroom done we got the layout to work for us instead of fight us and it was definitely gonna try to fight us no I think we actually really made it work in here yeah me too this attic space is a Whimsical I see we lean into the like unfinished look up here a lot of planks a lot of nails a lot of boards we just throws boxes in here and we're done it is so sad to waste those pretty windows on just boxes the boxes Love The View oh my gosh that's actually a really good view we can fit a bed up here but who would want to live up here I have a pitch I'm listening we only have the teen left to finish out our brood of kids what if this used to be their room they moved out to make room for the baby and they're like I'm gonna claim the attic that's so Disney Channel teen I love it their fans are like we have plenty of room downstairs and he's like no I'll be up in the attic everything should have that like stored furniture look like this was the bed that the parents used until they got a new one and this old mirror is from the grandparents there's just a bunch of old rugs that they've laid out to make it less drafty it's very boho I like it yes Moody bohotin who just wants to write their songs in peace I have something to say that's right and only the darkness of the attic reflects my words they should have the old computer too they like it though you know like those people that say it sounds so much better on vinyl this guy's like this is how the graphics were meant to be seen nothing says teen like taped up posters so we dig another one of these coffee tables and then stack it using the nine key it looks like an old dresser that looks good let's add the suitcase shelves with the little like City details on them we need some mess I'm on it close straight to the floor this might be the funniest room to me that we've ever done I really love the main character energy that this team has and heading down that's the only way to go from here on out I've never done a garage before it always feels funny to add one because cars don't actually work in this game but we do have some good debug ones though so we can just pretend half of decorating the Sims is pretending that's the closest to a minivan that we have it's a minivan the new metal paneling is kind of made to go in here she's a fancy garage oh it's so Chic I wish the garage door was functional so you could see it on the inside well can we just take the door and flip it yes we can you little genius where do you come up with this oh I'd like to fit some more bikes in here since we have so many fun ones now we can fit a couple back here I did kind of want more than that do you think no I'm not thinking what do you think tell me let me show you it takes some of these new corbels size of way down using the left bracket key and then we pretend these are wall mounted bike racks I love how those fit on the wall that fills up the wall so nice I love it but it does leave this space empty again though when I think Raja I do think workbench wait wait we can even tie it into the storyline because don't we have these crafted guitar and violin they make their own instruments yes and there's a spot left over for the new bike repair kit too you need that with kids I had so many bikes we've got a lot of bikes in this family and one of them is leaving them outside constantly I've become an angry mother I say we finish off the spot with a little window because this is the last chance to get any light in a room we're not gonna have any natural sunlight downstairs that's gonna be rough windows are a top decorating when we don't know what else to do there's more plants and here they are the queens of safety that is what they call us now like we've never used this thing before no who's to save it even works down here I do not know but it's here and that's important that's right right this little space was supposed to be the teen room and now it's way Albert's room it is a perfect fit I'm thinking at a gym fine but Wilbert won't be happy about this and he never forgets this world came with a new Rec Center law type which firstly is just cool to build but it also gave us gym stuff like these decals and the lockers that's great for at-home gems and that's the garage finish I like that we added a lot of stuff that your Sims can actually do down here since the garage doesn't function it's nice this isn't a wasted space goodbye son hello four more floors telling me we are only halfway done not even we haven't done the backyard yet this was a mistake on the outside of the basement levels it could be a bit blinding with the default drywall so we like to just add this black tile all around so it just kind of Fades into the void I know we don't have Windows anymore but people have dins so I think this could work as a living space yeah we can add this paneling to kind of Disguise it too you can even put fireplaces down here I really want to use the new one why not this seems safe yeah that's fine we're the Pinnacles of safety that's why we put in the fire system that's right these bookcases are great because I love having mac matching pieces but I hate when the Clutter matches too they made an identical bookcase that has different clutters so it's all not same same I want to use this rug Swatch and I want to use this couch oh look how comfy and Squishy the pillows look this little Corners where we can fit the games table we actually have two new games symbols and most importantly puzzles we're puzzle people over Christmas our family will get together and destroy a puzzle that sounds boring and it actually might be I can't explain it but it's really nice and we all chat and have a good time so it's it's really cute it's so nice to have some new modern lighting we used this pendant this floor lamp those sconces and that table lamp all from this kid one had a couple more kids things in here oh don't we have a new toy basket we are cracking up because I swear we had no idea that this toy basket has a box and a dinosaur in it people are gonna be is we didn't plan it it planned us well this space turned out really cozy the majority of the stuff that we used in this room is the new pack so if you're interested at all this is a good Showcase of what you can get Let's Go full sitting area bedroom ensuite since this is the parent space I want this to be the more modern area I like that like they've already had a chance to redo this section to fit their tastes I say we even give them their own TV down here so the kids can watch Frozen upstairs and they can watch The Last of Us down here not here Let It Go echoing down that stairwell I'm gonna make my own custom floating credenza by going into cabinets I'm gonna click the little Cog icon here select the small cabinets then I can just line them up exactly where I want them oh I love the floating entertainment center look I can't believe they added this that organic shape is really in in Furniture right now I'm gonna go minimal on The Styling here because I think this is just a nice calm place to relax yeah definitely that and not because we're running out of clutter items no of course of course that's not it that's on it at all how silly so many items left I want definition between this space and the bedroom but not a door okay I want the columns in this mandrel oh cute kind of obsessed with the cane detailing on the headboard of this bed don't we have some dressers that have that too look at this little custom wardrobe set we're making with these in the hallway table what is this westel downstairs at home South Elm perfect spot to pop the mirrored certificate and it's free that's a pretty good deal love tea bag wow the candles too it'll be a metaphor for what I'll break their Love Burns don't candles burn out not in The Sims Sims candles forever these sconces I know they are just I know that shade of green just sings what's it singing I'm so pretty don't you want to put me in every bathroom you do I'm gonna pop the new sinks in she's doing it I'm doing it right now that's Stone though that's the problem it looks so good I wish they would have given us some cabinets to match it imagine this with counters that stretched all the way across sometimes they don't give you a counter to clutter fine I'm just gonna put a hamper there I want to use this shower but it does seem a little weird to have the same tile but two different colors on one wall you can just inch it back into the wall of smidge and then it just looks like that tile runs throughout doesn't that look so pretty it really does it looks like it's coming out of the tile now I think this is supposed to just be for babies but it looks great as bathroom clutter too what are adults if not big babies it's so peaceful down here I like that we found a spot for the more contemporary furniture in the pack and it really sets the space apart only two floors left and we still have two sims to fit in here somewhere I think it makes sense with the new baby that the grandparents have come to live here for a while that's cute so they're like occupying the guest room yeah and who knows for how long normally I'd like to add a window in here but that is terrifying stare into the void that stares back at you I do still feel like we could do like a curtain feature here though oh like a faux canopy exactly maybe we put a light here instead of a window just to ward off any basement ghosts ghost and guests not too many different letters there like think about that this art layers super well for gallery walls we can break it up even more if we add one more piece in the middle there got so much art and it took so little time they can just have tossed their suitcases down they haven't even unpacked yet these also work as dressers even though we already have a dresser yeah but who doesn't need three dressers I need four myself I like the idea of the keepsake box being down here this is an item that your Sims can pass down through the generation so it's like a cool memory system but knowing grandparents it's probably just filled with potpourri how do they even get their hands on that stuff it just appears to you at a certain age you never buy potpourri we have got to stop adding in tables we have nothing else to put here debug save us maybe some gifts for the new baby works for me for this bath I just want to go classic black and white and gold these tiles actually work really well together like this shade of black actually matches which is very rare we're not going to use it in here but it is cool that they gave us a floor tile that matches a wall tile we're gonna use this a ton I think our fancy grandparents deserve some plush bathrobes like paper brought these with them and hung them themselves yeah the parents came down here and they're like where did all this come from we did not put this in here why is there more space there shouldn't be more space let's just look through the new pack and see if there's anything we've missed I like the new bar stools bar stools yeah that's what I said no we can make a bar oh yeah why do we always forget about bars we do have these awesome shelves that already have bottles in them but jeez that backlight is right in them I'm wondering you think we can add some mirrors back here to just cover them up oh my nocturnal eyes thank you I'm changing down in this basement grandparents like chess right that is such a cute visual of them playing with their grandkids down here let's let's just stick family and then on this wall we can do a whole thing of family photos we have these new frames and you can actually take pictures of your Sims and add them in here we're not gonna add our own right now because sometimes they count them as CC when you upload them onto the gallery but whenever you download it you feel free to put all the pictures in you want why does this floor actually work I cannot believe the number of floor plans we have had to come up with just one more I actually know what I want to do oh thank goodness I think our musical family should have a musical room thought bright piano I know I've been waiting to use it this whole time I want to go for a mod 70s feel with a cool Lounge Vibe so I'm gonna use the new paneling then for the instrument section I'm gonna do a cool brick feature wall so cool loving the jukebox there but I wish we had some guitars we could hang up on the walls we can't do that but I do have an idea for a display I'm gonna take the jungle gym set and size it down using the left bracket key then I'm gonna add a bunch of guitars into the slots where the bars are one's a 12 string one's an electric one's an acoustic and this one's a bunny this side of the room is the more Jazzy side but this side of the room can be the more techy side we should do an editing recording section yes so CDs are not super popular right now but if you size them up they kind of look like records I have an idea for this little spot but there's a 50 50 chance that it will not work and we're gonna have to pretend like this never happened I like those odds I'm just gonna add a couple of walls here then this big window in this glass door and this is already kind of falling apart because this isn't matching up perfectly this isn't looking like it's going in the air no no I can fix it the basement so I'm gonna grab some of these arches and I'm just going to nine key a second one up delete your walls these kind of look like sound proofing then we add the mic in and look at our little recording studio okay wait so that Vision really came through it is going in the edit we have all this space under the stairs here what if we stack some chairs and that's what they use for like family Jam sessions so just drag them out final thing is where in the heck does the light switch go uh maybe by the recording booth it wouldn't really be a basement unless you had to stumble around in the pitch dark looking for a light switch I said I don't believe in best for last but I'm afraid we might have actually just done that The Vibes down here are cool I would love a space like this yeah that's the inside does we did it now just the backyard no no let's just push the whole lot back and pretend this doesn't exist no do not give up on me now we are so close besides I can convince you because there's something we really want out here that's going to take up lot of space what what do I what do I want you remember the tree house that's a tree for the end you have to do the porches first this one is directly off the kids Suite we haven't used the sleeping bags yet that could be kind of fun out here oh no there's a million adorable swatches how do we pick what if we don't like where your mind's at they have the new slumber party feature in this pack what if our toddler just got done having a few friends over it's precious we should fit the infant playmat out here too since we didn't fit it inside I like that the mom is like yeah of course you can have your friends over but you need to be playing with your sister too I added a little puzzle right here but I'm also gonna sneak a little puzzle piece over here on the ground because you know if toddlers are doing a puzzle during a party there's no way all the pieces are gonna make it back in that box Next Level thank you next is a grill too obvious with this many Sims in a house you should have as many cook stations as possible I want there to be more storage here I'm gonna add these end counter pieces over uh what do you what do you call these oh the grill wings yes of course the grill wings I can't believe those fit so perfectly that looks so great we're getting later in the build so Karen's standards are lower oh I'm genuinely impressed these lanterns size down actually make for a really cute and easy centerpiece Treehouse okay I hear you so it's a little more tree than house this is actually one of the buildable items in the game so you need your actual Sims to come in and build this before it becomes a fully functional Treehouse Somebody's gotta download this and make it please I've got to see it done our Gallery ID is Karen and Connie I want a patio area and then a little section here where everybody can gather around round sounds like you want a curve is that an option sure take your curved room delete the walls and ceiling duplicate it rotate it using your ankle bracket keys I'm gonna shrink it by one this way and then move it into place and now you have a shape that you can add those same page flavors too that is so cool this Demands a fire pit where they could like gather around roast marshmallows sing songs you are painting a beautiful picture but the only fire pit that we have in these packs is that debug one that does not function this is another moment where we're gonna have to pretend because I like this too much we need one more thing for the kids out here if you say that way and we could just add the little Jungle Gym over here I think that would be best but not the best this is beautiful it is a really good size space especially with it being this close to the city yeah but Ritz crazy this house has real strong Full House energy bad right now we can't copyright blah blah [Applause] this house is eight Story five bedroom if you count the converted attic three bathroom and it's gonna run you 240 000 simoleons if you guys are not familiar with the free real estate on cheat yet you're about to be if you're gonna put this house down in your lot but it is just one pack we only use base game and growing together and if you guys can't tell we actually really like the building features in this pack it has both modern fixtures as well as some really cool pieces that add character to those older home builds that is totally our opinion from a very build heavy perspective this video took forever so
