Build a Ancient vs Future Pokemon Deck to Battle

me and my friend Sam have 30 minutes to build a competitive Pokemon deck only by buying cards from vendors trading people or opening packs the catch is Sam has to build a future deck while I have to make an ancient the lucky part is we're at the Orlando Pokémon regionals The Unlucky part is these are the best decks and all the cards are sold out I have a strategy I I came into this prepared I'm playing an ancient deck but it's easy because oh wait this might not be easy okay here we go I'm building a deck I'm going to I'm going we're going to look at what I need here first okay so I need four iron Crown three iron hands two Ron one Mew I can do this yeah okay here's the deal I'm playing ancient box it has a bunch of just non really hard to find cards I could go vendor to vendor do have electric generators look through Little Boxes uh I'll do a nest ball and then I'll do a counter catcher too but I researched the Elite Trainer Box from temporal Fates has a promo flutter man which is the hardest card to get I steal damn strategy from the last video and open packs we're going to do it we got some good stuff we got our ionos our bosses our Nest our Radars we're cooking we're cooking with gas wait I think I see it is that wait the building battles have the cideon do you have any more of the walking wake uh etbs is it possible to buy four of them Moment of Truth oh taking more time than I thought uh I'm using Jack's card so we're buying cards okay I need staples is what I need right now need two poke gears I need a counter catcher oh this place has got it all dude let's go okay do they have generators electric generators they do okay sweet uh could I get that one and then a couple of these I think I only need two yeah and then could I also get one of the uh Awakening drums when Jack comes over you could also just not sell to him too cuz you guys have everything so just don't sell to him sry don't want Sam to see that I bought cards so I'm going to hide them in my backpack um okay I need a vacuum okay I need four electric generators if you guys got them Y and then I need an Erica's imitation okay and then I'll need more in a minute but that's what I'm working through it all you guys got everything here holy cow I hit the motherload as long as Jack doesn't find this where is he I don't see him over there okay we're doing great three more etps and I'm good where Sam wait wait strategic position look for my opponent ah he's right there I'm going to sneak up on him and see what he's doing let's see if he can if he doesn't notice me oh oh Moment of Truth did I get the wrong one where's my promo here it is got it these we're looking for a promo coridon how many options are there for Promos in those uh four and I got for alligator I did not get the coridon one more chance yeah one more for this please yes I got one I got a cidon uh also um this is the largest regional ever we're on Orlando Florida the promo card they give you for playing in the regional is one of the ones I need though if we don't pull it I'm going to the front desk and asking like hey can I play mat in my card what am I looking for let me I will show you roaring Moon flutter man what the first pack do you think Sam's stressing oh my God I'm sweating more right now than I was running around trying to get the cards great tus I hear him stressing from here I might have to if I can't find a prime catcher I'm in trouble we need two iron bundles two super rods hand M Prime catcher we also need to find some drip cuz Jack's can be dripped out Jack's always dripped out well maybe not always I knew Jack back in 2016 he was not chipped out then it's weird this deck is none of the the vendors have the cards for it because they're all less than a dollar okay wait buddy buddy poing an iron that's a future card that's a Sam card I don't want a Sam card so Prime catcher is going to be an issue maybe I just go reboot pod oh I sawell some sleeves any deck boxes oh and deck boxes oh that one's adorable and then he has a whole deck already I hope not CES are full art I always pull the Crazy Cards when I don't need them got to think old thoughts yeah an what else is old uh Sam Sam's old okay I don't have much time left and I got to get drip do I get this drip uh I need a couple different things I need one Mi X if you have it the first one rough start and then I'm assuming no Prime catchers okay that's yeah that that's the response I've been getting uh I'll do a reboot pod too then we need how many more roaring moons two more roaring moons anything ancient that explores guideline is one of the the main cards got it maridon another future card I do not want no I'm getting future cards man I got a box order and a walking wake ancient got it thank you thank you thank you okay we need three more of those I wonder if Sam's looking for us how funny would that be all righty I'm going to do I'm going to match them up a little bit we're going to go this one and this one we'll match it up get a little drip you know thank you so much appreciate it okay we got a box we got some drip I don't think Jack I got matching drip can jack handle my matching drip I don't think so I don't think anyone can really Prime catcher is the ideal aec to go in this deck but no one has Prime catchers that's the issue of trying to buy all everything from vendors they already get bought so I'm going to go with a reboot pod unless I can find the prime Catcher And if I find the prime catcher that's fine you can only have one of these pink a Specs in your deck and Prime catchers considered to be the best one which is why they're sold out everywhere reboot pod also works in this deck because it only works for future Pokémon Jack can't buy this card only I can buy this card so I'm hoping it gives me an advantage in this game because it's a future card mood oh one more one more one more one more thank you so much gab um there's a chance there's more than one kidon in this deck okay Kon uh we got it you got it is that there's flutter me wait a minute bro this wait these are these are the cards I need wait that's busted yeah turns out all of the cards that I needed were in this all right we're back at it boys I am on a mission to win I need to buy iron hands can I find Iron hands oh boy let's check full grip I haven't gone to full grip yet I normally go to fullgrip for everything so the fact that I haven't gone there yet is either worrisome or it's good I see a deck box over there from when I last played at Worlds and I kind of want to go look at it do you know how much those deck boxes over there those big ones those worldes it depends uh the one with the magnifying glass the telescope that one woo okay he's paying but I think it's out of my price range so I might go buy a booster box and try to pull a prime catcher I don't know if I would do that well it's his money so true not my money if it's not your money then why the that's what I'm saying I'm we're on the same page here we're going to go try to pull a prime catcher cuz I can't find one and that's the last thing I need I don't know where Jack went okay we've got the four flutter Ms we've got the four corons we only have three roaring Moon I know what I need I think I see Sam can't tell if he's happy or not uh-oh okay hopefully not well that's wrong so we all know Jack Jack's going to be cheating I bought two iron hands earlier for Jack from a vendor but he does not play in that deck anymore I'm playing the future deck so I think I'm just going to count those ones iron hands are tough to find they're expensive cards I think I just count those two Jack's going to cheat anyways we count those ones we go from there I need to ask my friends what they thoughts are Hello friends Sam I Am I'm struggling because I cannot find a prime catcher anywhere yeah they don't exist here mister do I go buy a booster box and try to pull one you get two chances in a booster box that's two more chances than the vendors are currently giving me that's a great point also look at my swag isn't it cute okay um I'm going to need a Greninja the a lot that I could do here I'm pretty sure for this deck I want to get some cards in the discard I'm going to Earth vessel away a great Tusk I'm sorry great Tusk great Tusk I don't know what that does you don't need to read it okay that's fine get to to look for my deck for two energy cards they've got to be basic and I'm going to grab this one and this so my deck does damage based off of how many ancient cards are in my discard uh ancient kind of weird like that this thing does 70 damage plus 10 10 for every single thing in the discard so it has two in there I'm doing 90 but I don't have enough energy I'm going to ener are so pretty away these two get a radiant Greninja it's the only non-ancient Pokemon in my deck okay that's it counts it's anent I only have future Pokemon cuz I'm a true future boy it's ancient why is it ancient uh because the card says f on it and this one says H and anci fent fent okay U I'm going to a poke gear to look at the top seven cards in my deck and I can reveal a supporter card that I you're trying to find a supporter for next turn um I need one that I did not get just kidding professor's s's Vitality pretty good yeah that's a good card uh this card lets me pick two of my ancient Pokemon and attach B basic energies from my discard okay and then you draw three cards yeah it's like crazy good one last thing I'm going to do for this turn oh oh I have these new things I bought use ability used marker I love those I'm going to use concealed cards discard one and draw two get the discard energy okay pass you my friend okay that was a that was a pretty good turn for you I'll draw I'm going to start with an Arvin o okay cuz I want to try to get little baby maridon out cuz that's going to help me accelerate my deck way faster so I'm going to do Arvin for a techno radar with tool card you going to do Arvin lets me grab a tool card and an item card I am going to grab this item card check radar to help me get my Pokémon in play and then I'm going to do this future this this tool the future booster energy capsule I'm fine with that cuz that's going to help me retrieve my iron hands out cuz if I attach it to my iron hands I have no I have no retreat that's one iron hands that doesn't have a baton on it um I'm going to techno radar um that energy okay that lets you search your deck for two future two future Pokemon only for future Pokemon so it would not have wor it would not have worked in your deck yes yeah I wish there was an ancient card like that I'm going to grab a maridon and an iron hands we're going to do um I'm going to attach my energy for turn to this maridon I'm going to attach my future booster energy capsule I was hoping you didn't get that okay I'm going to lay down an iron bundle so iron bundle What it lets me do is once per turn this Pokemon when it's on my bench I'm going switch out with the Pokemon on your bench and this then gets discarded into my in danger and I'm going to go and use Peak acceleration for 40 damage and I get to take two basic energies out of my deck and attach them to Future Pokémon that's disgusting you should put it on that one you should you should put it on that one right there the one that doesn't have the not doing that okay I'll draw turn that way that was really really good uh we don't want to hear I'm going to put down the Roaring Moon top deck I'm going to play Professor sada's Vitality um to get two energies I'm going to attach one here and one here you top to The Rolling Moon Yeah I draw three cards okay oh yeah I just drew that card baby that face don't make you drew terrible cards still make that face uh so I'm going to put the Poké stop down I am going to how do I want to sequence this we're going to use concealed cards again to draw two cards I'll discard one okay I'm going to this might be weird I'm going to Ultra Ball away and explore guidance and a super rod that is that does seem weird for a flutter man oh you like that art that's beautiful uh it's very beautiful can I look at it uhhuh so pretty I got a really good deal on it as well really good deal really mhm free from the that I bought I'm going to use Poké stop to discard three cards from the top of my deck any items go to my hands a okay okay so I'm going to use the nest ball now let me grab one of these a great Tusk okay now you may be wondering I am why that wasn't a roaring Moon yeah why wasn't an a roaring Moon um because I have a card in my my hand that I want to use called a wakening drum this is a a speec there's only one in your deck you know that they don't I can draw a card for each of my ancient Pokemon in play so I now draw as an item card four cards uh we're going to put the ancient booster energy capsule on the active Okay and then this gives me 60 more HP and I'm not able to be affected by special conditions yeah so I have 160 which means you would need to do a lot more to do this Earth and vessel away of flutter man okay getting two more ancient cards in my discard letting me look for two energies I'll grab those ancient booster caps will give you so much more HP than I expected I'm doing 150 damage with vent Fletching for The Knockout can I take a prize that's not good I'm kind of nervous ah what are these a little scary I'm going to go ahead and professor's research I drew not great cards good that's not good for me so we're going to do it like this so I'm going to Poky stop so I will also get three cards I got an energy I got a techno radar and an iron hands so I get the Techno radar and these go bye-bye I might be in trouble here folks I'm going to attach a heavy baton my so heavy baton what that let me do is when this is knocked out I can attach three energy for to any of my PCH Pokemon so it allows me to kind of keep my energy in play I'm then going to cry no I'm going to I just feel like I'm on a weird I'm on a weird path right now um okay I'm going to go ahead and Retreat I'm going to go into for free because I have the future booster energy capsule yes I'm going to go into this iron hands I'm doing 160 right now and you have I have 160 HP okay yeah I will arm press for knockout and I will take one I've got 10 ancients in the discard you too excited right now yeah I'm going to put forward my roaring Moon okay let me draw for turn Okay so first things first I'm going to want Ultra Ball away this Nest ball in flutter making 11 in my discard search my deck for a card this kidon I'm going to I thought about killing the knocking I really thought about knocking out the two Poky stop okay I was hoping you would forget that I was I was really hoping you'd forget it o nice okay we'll take those so you lost a satas that's really good for me though is it well I mean it's an ancient it's an an it's a really really good ancient though it's a really really good ancient it is which is why I'm going to play this one oh okay cool yeah you had another one why did you have another one that gear I am going to Vengeance Fletching for 220 damage okay so that's we only have taken one prize card each I'm kind of scared I'm scared something's going to happen Okay I'm going to attach and psychic energy for turn here I'm going to play techno radar so you might not be playing the iron Le variant I'm not I'm not playing Iron leaves I thought about it I'm going to play techno radar for nest ball yep I'm going to go into my deck I'm going to grab an iron hands and another iron bundle with my techno radar you run two oh I run two iron bundles Big Boy yes sir we're going to play another iron hands down uh I've already attached for turn we're going to play Arvin okay so I can get another item and another tool my tool I'm going to get show a picture of Jack the tool I'm going to get I'm going to grab a heavy baton I'm going to grab an electric generator I'm going to play an electric generator I this is my first time playing this I look at the top five cards if any are electric energy I can attach them to an electric Pokémon up to two I got one we're going to put it here just for a little safekeeping I'm going to do like that that's so scary I am going to lay down an iron Crown which allows all of my future Pokemon to do 20 more damage I'm going to use amp you very much which now instead of doing 120 does 140 because of my iron Crown I'm going to knock out your Ro Moon and take two prize cards because amp you very much lets me take an extra prize card if I take a if I knock out with that attack okay so so I'm back in this I'm gonna put forward my flutter M its ability says as long as this is in the active none of your active Pokemon have abilities you don't have an ability that doesn't matter uh but because you took two prize cards I'm now allowed to use counter catcher which let me pick any of your bench Pokemon and put it to the active I'm going to pick this iron hands oh no so you're counter catching up this iron hands yes that's not good for me because professor of Vitality to take two pokon I'm going to choose uh coridon and flutter man attach an energy there attach an energy there a move I've I've never seen used in this deck before is about to happen I'm going to attach an energy here let's let's make me thick too I like being thick the hex hurl does 90 damage to your active and lets me put two damage counters on your bench in any way I like your iron hands has 20 hp left and heavy baton only works when it's in the active so I'll do 90 here and I'll knock that out so that way all of your energy goes to the discard now rather than your Pokémon you're going to have to get really lucky on electric generators I take two prizes draw for turn seven energies on discard one in play you run probably 14 electric one psychic ah 15 electric uny I'm going to use Poké stop I really wanted that card I want that card that's good card okay so that's not an item card it's not an item I get my poke gear though which I'm going to play cuz I need to be able to draw some stuff here three four five six seven so you played this card earlier I can look at the top seven I can reveal a supporter I get there okay I have to take it I'm taking my professor's research I've got something spicy you got Spice I have spice I'm going to play down electric generator okay good luck thank you 1 2 3 4 5 I hit two I never hit two this a great this is a great day I really really need one card in my deck what's that one card oh I can't tell you that Prime catcher it was Prime catcher look it his eye twinkled you know if I could have found a prime catcher I really would would have wanted it pretty bad right now wait you're actually not running Prime catcher are you messing with me what are you run it go ahead uh I'm going to play techno radar I'm going to discard an energy I'm trying to thin my deck out wait is that card even in here my techno radar is for a maridon and my techno radar is for iron Crown you have 150 HP so my arm press knocks you out naturally cuz it's doing 17 180 I'm going to attach an energy for turn to my iron hands ex ex in the active I'm going to attach a fer a Fuster of future booster energy capsule to this iron Crown e x okay I'm going to use professor's research o to discard my hand uh-huh and I'm going to draw seven new cards okay I'm hoping I get the card I want 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 yes you can a I am going to use a future card because I have a future deck okay and with this Future Card I'm going to use reboot pod reboot pod attaching energy to everything no attaches an energy from my discard pile to every single future Pokemon I have in play even iron Crown even iron Crown even iron bundle so we have an energy going here we have an energy going here we have an energy going to my boy iron Bundy and then we have a psychic energy going on iron Crown now I now have three energies on my active iron hands X I am going to now arm press for 180 damage and knock out your flutter man and draw one prize card I didn't want this reboot pod I wanted a prime catcher but this future card is what's bringing it home the W back to back for team Sam I know I got like two fans out there and I'm here to take down purple Clint I'm going to Nest ball wall look through my deck there's not a card there going back in okay you don't have many cards left in your deck howad oh that's not good um I am going to take a professor sadaa I need two of them to throw back into my deck okay put these there yep this here I'm going to shuffle okay I don't know if I can do it I don't know if I have enough um if I had a fighting energy in my discard I think I could do it but it's fried oh my God okay that changes everything there's definitely one in your disc uh put down roaring Moon ex that you did not know about attach a ancient booster attach an ancient booster's um I'm going to what just happened use a poke gear 3.0 to look at the top seven cards of my seven card seven cards no I got it I got it I'm going to look at the top seven dang it I got both of them am I am I going to lose this I don't know but it's getting close I'm going to Professor seda's Vitality yeah to attach Professor Sada yeah uh-huh and then attach an energy here okay I am going to Superior Energy retrieval what away these two cards okay get wa that one's so cool one two three four energy in my hand okay I'm then going to super rod okay three ancient Pokémon okay to put them back in my deck roaring Moon primordial beat down for The Knockout on your iron hands cuz that does 30 for each of your ancient Pokemon so 30 3 6 9 12 15 dang it okay but I was looking at the the the future card that you played last turn you discarded your second Crown you have no way to knock these out so you're going to need a counter catcher somehow to win Jack Jack Jack you're forgetting the power of the future well what's the power of the future you don't no you don't have a counter catcher in your hand check I don't I don't need a counter my hand I going drw for turn cuz I have an iron bundle on my bench iron bundle lets me swap out your active Pokemon with any Pokemon on your bench that is not what that card does he does not get to pick it I I'm going to get revenge for that Sam so I'm going to use hyper blower I'm going to bring up I just spent 10 minutes on that turn and you knew you had the win yeah the whole time yeahuh I'm going to bring up my boy great Tusk here and and because this arm bundle it did its job get bundled on I'm going to amp you very much for 160 damage and The Knockout I'll take two prizes
