I owned a mobile DJ business years ago. One weekend we had a bride request this as her song to walk down the aisle to. Interesting I thought to myself, this one I'll need to verify before the day of the event.
As was customary I did all the pre-calls for each event to make sure we properly understood music needs, custom requests and the like. This was '99-2007 so MP3's were brand new, took hours to download, and quality sucked. I should have taken out stock in Coconuts for the amount of bullshit CD's I bought @ $22 a pop for that one perfect song that was requested.
Anyway, I confirmed with this bride that this was, in fact, the song she wanted to walk down the aisle to. It was. And given that this was her second marriage, his third I didn't think too much of it. I, of course, gave the standard discussion that songs of this nature are usually best during the dancing once the older relatives have left. She said "fuck 'em, if they don't know me by now the can go to hell, it's not like they're paying for this anyway."
Fast forward to the wedding day and I get a frantic call my DJ on site doing the wedding and family has erupted into a fist fight because the "whore bride" has polluted the "angel son" and this song was evidence of that. Needless to say, the check bounced, no tip for my DJ that night and we had some CD's stolen from the music set. Fun times.
But personally, I do like this song.
Edited - These years were fun and awful at the same time, and lasted longer than I thought sold business in 2007.
