hello everyone welcome back to my channel i'm steph and today i'm doing another book recommendation video i'm especially excited for today because i am doing brother's best friend trope romance books which are literally so good for bitterness the tension oh my god okay i have so many books too like it's gonna be a great video for you to watch if you love brother's best friend because there are plenty of recommendations that i have here today so if you're interested in hearing what i have to say about these books then keep on watching okay so the first book i'm going to talk about is serenading heartbreak by ella fields this was one of the last books i read in 2020 and i was absolutely obsessed with it i read it in one sitting me and my friend read it together we like book clubbed it and it was so fun so this book is a love triangle if you don't like love triangles then don't read this one but it is done so well that i loved both of the boys that she was going in between with because basically she grew up having a crush on her brother's best friend she's literally been in love with him forever and they finally shared a few romantic moments together when they were in high school and then he left to go on tour with his band they still tried to keep like some contact with each other but he ended up cutting her completely off and when he finally came home he was like a different person and she was like what is wrong with you i'm going to college screw you bye and that like broke my heart because i loved the kids so much but i was like what is getting like what is wrong with him why is he acting like this and then in college she meets another boy and he was this so charming so sweet so funny like immediately i was like mad because i was like no she already has a man it's like back off but then i found myself falling in love with him too and i was like oh my god if i was in her situation i have no idea what i would do and then the boy from her past her brother's best friend comes back then she has these two boys that she's in love with it's so good kept me on my toes never knew what was coming next i got so frustrated i cried um i feel like it's very easy to hate the main character in a book where she's in a love triangle because she has to make so many decisions between the two people surprisingly i definitely liked the main character girl i agreed with a lot of the decisions if not all the decisions she made she was very level-headed so the first half of the book is definitely very brother's best friend it shows them growing up through high school and their romance and then towards the middle is her second romance with her college boyfriend and then the ending is back and forth who's she gonna choose i literally had no idea who i wanted i mean i kind of had a favorite but i but then he kept doing things and i was like i don't know man i really enjoyed this book starting heartbreak by ella fields next book i'm going to talk about i'm really excited because i just finished it and it's interference by harlow cole and this book was actually sent to me through my amazon wishlist link in the description if you want me to read your favorite book it's sent to me by mine so thank you so much for sending it to me i loved it you said on your the note you left me that it was a little rough and it definitely was it is a duet i read the first and second book definitely brother's best friend so the first book starts very abruptly it starts when they're adults i think in their mid-20s and braden walks into the place that she works at and she's like you need to stay away from me and then you're like what that was a weird intro to a book and then it goes back in time to when they met when they were kids they hit it off with each other when they're super young i think they're 11 12 or something he ends up coming back to her house becoming best friends with her brother it shows them through high school i felt this very wattpad-esque like he's very protective of her all throughout their childhood all throughout high school he literally does not want a single man to look at her but at the same time they're not together so he's kind of like acting like a big brother to her this is also a sports romance baseball he plays baseball and he's like insanely good and she's a photographer and she photographs him it's cute then something really really tragic happens towards the end of this book like i was not expecting it at all um it was such a sweet romance and then all of a sudden travesty was like oh my god she's never gonna be able to forgive him he pretty much ruined her life and her family's entire life he leaves he like packs up and leaves after this happened he's like filled with guilt and that's when the second book comes in is them reuniting and him trying to make up for his mistakes in the past and when he comes back into town there's a reason why he comes back that you find out slowly throughout the second book i'm gonna talk about the second book when he comes back i'm like okay i understand where he's coming from and everything that happened and he's groveling and he's has a plan of how he's gonna fix everything that went wrong before he left and it's just what happened an accident or not is so tragic and bad i feel like i could have never forgiven him no matter how epic our love story was but it's second chance romance it's cool that this book starts out intrigued because you're like why are they broken up like they're not together and then you go and see their whole relationship you see why they break up and then the next book is a second chance romance so it's kind of like another romance novel like you get to see them re-fall in love and i enjoyed it the only thing i didn't like about this book is there's a lot of like shaming i don't know i just don't really like the way that we talked about girls in this book it was just kind of like derogatory and like a little a little but i like the story nonetheless the story was very entertaining to say the least like both books i was on my toes i was like what is going on it's very steamy too it's this literally felt like i was reading a white pad like fanfic or something just because it's very cl like it has like all the cliche plots too which everyone loves a good cheesy romance like don't even lie like it has so many good like little tropes in it like just the protectiveness of the brother's best friend too the whole time like it was so over the top and dramatic but i loved it and then the second book he is famous so if you like one of us the same as trope also has that with so this is like them as kids and then the next one is them grown up which i kind of liked having both i recommend it so that's interference by harlow cold thank you for sending me this next book is 99 mine by sally thorne which i've talked about previously in a video but sally thorin wrote the hating game which is one of my all-time favorites and i know it's one of your guys's all-time favorites too we always talk about this so immediately after finishing the hating game i had to pick up her other novel this is only her second book she has one more coming out soon i believe but this book is kind of a different dynamic than a normal brother's best friend the girl is kind of like a badass she's known for being kind of like rude and confrontational and then he is super shy and super sweet so it's kind of like the bad girl good boy except not really she's not like a bad girl you know but it's really cute cause it's like the opposite dynamic like she's the bold one in the relationship sometimes she was a little too bold for my liking i was like whoa girl reel it in reel it in but other than that it was really cute they grew up together but you don't really get to see you get some flashbacks when they were growing up but it's mostly set when they're in their 20s they haven't seen each other in years and the girl darcy is left with the task of finishing renovating this house that she was left and tom is a construction worker so he's agreed to take on the task of helping her with this house so they're kind of forced close proximity after not seeing each other for years he's engaged to someone else darcy has always seen tom is like the perfect man and she tells him this she's like you're literally the perfect man i compare everyone i meet to you because you're just so perfect and like a literal golden boy like i've never met anyone like you it starts off very like we're friends but like there's obvious tension but you have a fiance so it's a little awkward her brother does not want them together it's called 99 mine i really love this aspect of the book because it starts off with saying you're 99 my brothers and only one percent mine even though they've been friends their whole lives she's always just felt like he's way more friends with the brother as you see them getting closer and closer throughout the book during this house renovation she's like oh he's two percent mine and then something else will happen to me he's five percent mine oh ten percent mine and you see it build up and it's called 99 mine so i'm assuming you know where that's going but it's so cute i really liked this romance sally thorne did it again my best friend is currently reading this book right now and she's been sending me updates and it reminded me and i was like oh my god when i was reading it feeling all the feels of this book but yes i love this book as well next i have the truth about heartbreak by b celeste this one my favorite books 2019 it's kind of another book that got me really into reading this girl named avery um her name is not avery her name is literally river i don't know why i say avery but her name's river sorry she has been in foster care her whole life had a really really rough childhood and upbringing she's been through so much trauma and she finally gets adopted when she's 13 and she has a new brother named oliver and her parents are super loving but she's really in her shell she's scared of the world pretty much because of everything she's been through it's a hard time opening up a hard time trusting a hard time making friends she at first starts bonding with her brother's best friend whose name is everett he always just looks out for her at school and stuff because he can tell how timid she is and i feel like they really had a good understanding of each other even though she was only 13 i think he was 16 or 17. he just understood her everett was super popular at school so avery would kind of just watch it from afar she was younger she always low-key had feelings for him she was just way too young it was like a childhood crush kind of he always looked out for her and it was so cute and then the book skips a few years and they have this night together after reuniting sparks fly and it's so obvious they want to be together but he's engaged he's engaged and there is a reason why he can't leave his fiancee even though you can tell he obviously wants to be with avery he's so close with avery's family as well i really like that dynamic he was kind of part of the family he also had kind of a rough upbringing which the family took him in he has this relationship their family that he doesn't want to ruin he's engaged he doesn't want to ruin his engagement because there's a reason why he can't leave his fiance which you also find out very slow burn because they come together and then they can't be together they come together they can't be together and you're just like guys come on but i love that aspect of this book even though it gets so frustrating and slow burn when they're together it makes it all the more all the more better all the better it makes it all better once they're together because you have this whole build up i really like this book the truth about heartbreak by be celeste next book is the chase by l kennedy this is the first book in the briar u series which is a spin-off of off-campus off-campus is literally trending right now guys all over tech talk my whole for you page is people finally reading off campus and giving it the recognition that it deserves i've been raving about off campus for years now and i'm so glad it's finally getting recognition anyways that was a tangent but fire u is a spin-off so if you run off campus and you haven't read briar you read it it's just as good briar u is about characters that you meet in the off-campus series but they get finally get their own books and the first book called the chase is about dean from off campus his little sister summer she's like a little ball of sunshine she's crazy she got kicked out of her university she's kind of like a wild child she ends up catching feelings for one of the boys on her brother's hockey team but her brother graduated but he was really close with this boy and she catches feelings for him and it's kind of her pining after him which is a different dynamic than he is usually the guy's kind of groveling but he is covered in tattoos he's on the hockey team he's an incredible hockey player but he's like a gamer and he's shy and so i really liked that it was cute you find out a lot about their backstories and then you get to read the rest of the brayer you series which four other boys from the hockey teams get their own books it's so good if you haven't read the off campus slash by our u series by l kennedy read it it's so good they're short quick reads each book about a different hockey player and their romance and this one is of the brother's best friend troupe which is why i chose it for this video similarly to off campus is the kings of written house series which i've talked about before it is five hockey romances each about a different boy on the hockey team and they're all best friends so same kind of dynamic and this book fearless king is brother's best friend and this is the fourth out of five books in the series and i really really really was looking forward to this book the entire time because they hint at his name is ford ford and olivia they hint at them the entire series and you're like oh my god they're totally gonna date because they have like little moments throughout the entire series and then when you finally get their book it's chef's kiss i really love ford he's adorable he's a hockey player but like he's not like one of like the cocky ones that you normally see he's kind of quiet to himself basically ford and olivia had a moment together they kissed and after this whole build up she's always had a crush on him she's been crushing on him since she was a little girl it was like such a cute moment and then he leaves and you're like what you're just gonna dip so then she's like screw you i'm never talking to you again whatever she's heartbroken two years go by right she's convinced she's over him and then he's back i also liked about this book is ford's little brother also has a crush on olivia so it's kind of like a brother thing olivia's power to be honest olivia's brother comb is ford's best friend their parents tragically died when they were young and comb has been taking care of olivia her whole life pretty much he's pretty much given up his life to take care of her he is not okay with her dating forward he does not want her to because of something that happened between ford and comb that you also find out there are so many things to unveil in this book but i really really enjoyed this entire series you have to read it in order i believe i don't think you have to but you should and if you love off campus you'll love kings of rittenhouse it's the exact same dynamic except crazy tropes in the series there's accidental pregnancy there's brother's best friend enemies to lovers second chance romance teacher student not really teacher teacher aide student they're really good if you've read maya hughes's full in you series they're connected marissa from that series is best friends with olivia and so i thought that was a cool little tie-in and you get to see marissa and lj like their little romance also within this they're like friends to lovers in another series um so if you've read that series you'll definitely love this one i recommend the kings britain house series and fearless king is brother best friend i know you're tired of talking about this book but it's ugly love by colleen hoover one of my favorite if not my favorite book of all time i talk about it i find a way to mention in every single video but it's definitely brother's best friend so emotional i cried my eyes out it impacted me so much i literally still think about this book all the time it's a classic colleen hoover love story that alternates from the past to the present to his first love to his current friends with benefits situation and you find out why he's closed off from love and all the tr like a very tragic thing that happened to him i love this book so much because the way it's written it's written so like beautifully like i can't even explain it the fact that his brother's best friend is like not even the biggest trope in this book like there's so much going on in this book absolutely love it 10 out of 10. okay the last brother's best friend book that i'm gonna recommend is called a piece of my heart by tegan hunter i read it on my phone so i don't have the physical copy but it's the first book in a series as well i haven't read the rest yet but i really need to because i enjoyed this book super fun easy quick read so ren has a twin brother and his twin brother's best friend's name is foster and they were kind of like a trio growing up they were like besties all three of them they'd always hang out but he was always more close with the brother so they do like the little boy things and then one night he randomly up and leaves leaves town doesn't come back doesn't contact ren ever again she knew that he catching contact with her brother so she's like him like that's so annoying and rude how he just like cut me off like that and then years go by and he comes back and she finds out he was like married failed marriage he's losing like all his assets to his ex and his life is just going to he's moving in with her brother and she works at this restaurant and he shows up there and he's going on all these dates because he's trying to get back in the game after his failed marriage and she's watching him epically fail at dating like he just has no idea what he's doing and she's like you need help so she tries to help him with his online dating profile it's so obvious that he has such strong feelings for her like it's definitely the boy falls first and she's like oblivious to it i'm like girl open your eyes ren's best friends suggest that foster men should fake date each other so he can get some practice in right and he immediately agrees to it he's like yes and she's like i guess and so he's taking her on all these dates and she's like oh my god is this real like i don't know like what i'm feeling what is going on are these dates real is what he's saying real or is this all part of the ploy it's super cute fun easy read i need to read the rest of the series because i handed out another couple that i'm very intrigued about so i will be reading the rest of the series eventually but yes that's a piece of my heart by tegan hunter that is the end of today's video i hope you enjoyed i hope you added a bunch of brother's best friend
