foreign [Music] hello [Music] thank you jesus my my [Music] what a presence is flowing and moving in this house already today god thank you so good so good thank you for your visitation lord i'm just going to keep flowing in this service this morning we do have some prayer requests that they will put up in just a moment or even now so glad to be together with each one of you here today because today is a new day god will do something amazing and has already begun that in this presence through the word given by brother graham wow god is just awesome and i'm so thankful to be in his presence together with you the precious body let's continue to remember pastor and sister walker as they are away that god would continue to restore and renew them that he would strengthen and heal them during this time away that he would just have such a wonderful time in his presence in communion with him with each other wish them joy and much laughter and just good times as they are away and i know that the lord will cover and bless them let's just keep them in our prayers that god would continue to do so for those that are away today unable to be here the lord keep his hand upon them as they're traveling and let's remember the trimble family brother tanzle brother james wagner and their family going through difficult seasons but you know as we heard today god is there we can cry out to him whether the times whether the plane is just coasting on with a great tailwind or there's much turbulence we can cry out to god and he is there always and i'm so thankful for that for peace and comfort for the passing of brother anthony trimble such a tremendous loss to his family to close loved ones into our movement as a whole what an impact and blessing that he has been and on now to his reward just praying that the lord would comfort and be with and strengthen all those near and dear to him for cobid and double pneumonia with brother tanzle for uh the wagners dealing with the colon cancer through this time of therapy that god would just intervene that he would give strength to all those i pray if you have an unspoken request you could just make that known if we can just glance around and see the needs present here in the body today the lord knows beyond what we could ever pray but we still pray in faith believing that he has the power the ability the timing in the method in his own way to answer each need god we thank you god that we can come boldly before your throne today with needs that you're already aware of because you are the alpha the omega you know the beginning and the end you're the author and the finisher of our faith and everything in between and god we lift up these needs to you not in fear of uncertainty but in faith knowing that you are well able god that we can trust these needs and your very capable and very able hands god into your charge we commit each need trusting for miraculous outcome believing for your perfect and divine will to be accomplished and for the strength of the body for the edifying oh god of your people and for ultimately your glory and for your praise and we do it all with gratefulness and in the name of jesus thank you lord thank you lord thank you all for being faithful in your giving let's still continue to do that through the methods that are available through simply give we have a basket in the back to receive your tithe and offering there is a p.o box that we can mail those gifts and offerings into the church and we will continue to do the work of the kingdom by those things it really is a blessing and it goes beyond the four walls of this church and reaches around the globe and i'm so thankful for the ability to give to the kingdom of god aren't you amen there's such a blessing thank you jesus while you're standing let's turn to the book of psalms chapter 18. i will be reading from the passion translation you can just follow along with the version you have or if you happen to have a tpt then you can follow right along reading from verses 28 through 49 in the passion translation god all at once you turned on a floodlight for me you are the revelation light in my darkness and in your brightness i can see the path ahead with you as my strength i can crush any enemy horde advancing through every stronghold that stands in front of me yahweh what a perfect god you are all yahweh's promises have proven true what is secure shelter for all those who turn to hide themselves in you the wrap around god could there be any other god like yahweh for there is not a more secure foundation than you god you have wrapped me in power and made my way perfect through you i ascend to the highest peaks to stand strong and secure in you you've trained me with the weapons of warfare worship my arms can bend a bow of bronze you empower me for victory with your wraparound presence your power within me makes me strong to subdue by stooping down in gentleness you made me great you've set me free and now i'm standing complete ready to fight some more i caught up with the enemies and conquered them and didn't turn back until the war was won i smashed them to pieces and i finished them once and for all they're as good as dead you've placed your armor upon me and made my enemies bow low at my feet you've made them all turn tail and run for through you i've destroyed them all they shouted for help but no one dared to rescue them they cried out to yahweh but he refused to answer them so i pulverized them to powder and cast them to the wind i swept them away like the dirt on the floor you gave me victory on every side you make me a leader of nations even those i've never heard of come and bow at my feet as soon as they heard of me they submitted to me even the rebel foreigners obey my every word their rebellion fades away as they come near trembling in their strongholds they come crawling out of their hideouts cringing in fear before me yahweh lives praise is lifted high to the unshakable god towering over all my savior god is worthy to be praised look how he pays back harm to all who harm me subduing all who come against me he rescues me from my enemies he lifts me up high and keeps me out of reach far from grasp of my violent foe so i thank you yahweh with my praises i will sing my song to the highest god so all among the nations will hear me do you have a victory in you today has the lord subdued your enemies are you conquering lifted high above all the surrounding foes because of the wrap around god thank you lord because you wrap around us with your strength with your armor you have clothed us lord with the proper weapons to fight against the enemy god you have raised us up and given us the victory yahweh our god our savior is triumphant and victorious through you oh god we can clump jump over a wall we can go through a troop oh god we have the victory because of you all i think i think he's done a little more than that i think we can lift just a little bit more praise and a little bit more shout of victory and triumph in the house today because we are a victorious people through the blood of the lamb through the word of our testimony through that follow me all the days of my life oh to dwell in the house of the lord there's no better place in his presence with his people thank you jesus thank you jesus you may be seated so good to have all of our guests here today some names i didn't get no we have with ezekiel's a couple of his buddies jalen and joe let's make our in-house guests welcome and those that are in our online presence on youtube channel watching via social media it's so good to have each one of you here god has been doing great things and there are still greater things yet to come it's my distinct privilege to introduce to you whom you've already been introduced some this morning and if you've come in later our special guest speaker today brother scott graham it was in i always forget the year 96 97 96 thank you i was almost certain that was my first introduction and meeting of brother scott graham and he began then to impact my life and the first time was on the bus he was taking roll call counting out the numbers as he walked through the bus and playfully but unmistakably thwhacked me on the back of the head as he called out my number and that was my first interaction with the impact of brother scott graham and throughout the years whether at a conference or a speaking engagement his ministry his life have impacted my life and i know he has for you all here at the fact family uh for the united pentecostal church international his service and tremendous work there and then his global ministry as he travels and it's such an honor to have him here today we are blessed he is an anchor for this movement and i am so glad to bring to this pulpit today brother scott graham could you make him welcome and thank the lord as he comes today brother graham would you preach your heart and take your liberty today thank you well you're very kind thank you thank you for that it's a great honor to be here man it's you feel bad i first remember i'm smacking him in the head knock the hair clean off of it i feel a little bad about that i didn't know i'd have that kind of lasting impact like that i honestly don't remember i mean i remember the trip of course el salvador on a missions strip but i didn't he told me that this morning i'm like man that's kind of he's a great christian he's forgiven me you know it's gracious but it's a joy to be with you today and i give honor even in his absence to your pastor and pastor's wife loved them so much and was highly honored that he called me and asked if i could feel in fact my daughter who just his is just is absolutely certain that the run sun rises and sets at sister walker my daughter sent me a text yesterday she said i'm so jealous you get to see them i said no i don't just going they're not there and then she was really confused but i i honor you and commend you for i say for allowing that's probably the wrong term but for supporting your pastor and his wife getting away like this this is needful there have been numerous numerous studies that have that have documented that if you list all the jobs in our country in terms of stress level the top three are typically surgeons air traffic controllers and pastors those three and so the need to come away and and decompress and recompose and re-center and all that is is valuable and uh and i thank you for supporting them in this effort i want to read today from second corinthians chapter four uh i asked what time you guys are generally done and he told me 3 30. so that shouldn't be a problem you can relax ii corinthians chapter 4 and verse number one it goes like this therefore seeing we have this ministry as we have received mercy we faint not but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of god deceitfully but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of god but if our gospel be hid it is hid to them that are lost in whom the god of this world have blinded the minds of them which believed not lest the light of the glorious gospel of christ who is the image of god should shine unto them for we preach not ourselves but christ jesus the lord and ourselves your servants for jesus sake for god who commanded the light to shine out of the darkness has shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of god in the face of jesus christ but we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of god and not of us we have this treasure in earthen vessels my message to you today is this you're a vessel not a vault you're a vessel not a vault and if you'll smile you can be seated if you're going to be a grump just remain standing so we can spot you i've got some images they're going to show today and i'll call for them one by one for whoever's operating that throw up the first slide if you would please they are some of the heaviest and most secure structures built by man we call them vaults literally hundreds of tons in most cases of steel and concrete that exist for one reason the value of what is kept behind those doors next slide for instance in new york city just blocks from wall street sits a vault with 25 of the world's known gold reserves in it that's what you're looking at 540 000 bars of gold sit behind a 90 ton steel door in a vault that is 80 feet underground cut out of the bedrock under manhattan why because it's some 270 billion dollars worth of gold 98 of which is foreign owned the reason for that fact is the next slide ours is kept here fort knox in kentucky surrounded by four fences two of which are electric granite walls that you're looking at there are four feet thick held together with some 750 tons of reinforcing steel there are armed sentinels that line the perimeter deep inside is a 22 ton vault door the entire complex is surrounded by some 30 000 soldiers stationed on that base and if you somehow got through the two fences the four fences and those two without getting electrified and you somehow made it through the four feet thick walls and you somehow got through down to the 22-ton door you would still have to locate multiple staff members each of which only knows part of the combination no one knows the whole thing why because the bulk of our nation's gold reserves are kept there they won't say how much just that it is roughly three percent of all the gold that has ever been refined in human history but it's not just about money travel to this next location this is cheyenne mountain next slide if you would please this is cheyenne mountain wyoming home of what is known as norad north american air defense something i don't know north american norad it's north american aerospace defense command it's meant to be the military command headquarters in the event of an all-out nuclear conflict the men and women who work there do so behind two 25-ton blast doors each of which can withstand a direct hit of a megaton nuclear blast to put that into perspective the bomb that destroyed hiroshima in world war ii would have to be 1429 times bigger to get through that door the site is buried under 2000 feet of mountain granite the air has to be piped in it is the purest in the world having been processed for chemical biological and nuclear contaminants why because our command and control structures for the military are their key defense personnel and systems operate there and they must be kept safe hear me that's what vaults do they are designed in consideration of the worth that is held inside i would like to remind you of something here on this beautiful sunday in troy that all the gold in fort knox and all the gold at the federal reserve bank in new york city does not equal the treasure that is inside of every person that is full of the holy ghost i know that sounds like good preacher talk but it's true nonetheless if you've been buried in the name of jesus christ and had your sins washed away if you've been filled with the gift of the holy ghost you you have a treasure that cannot be compared with anything on this planet every holy ghost-filled believer in this house has had placed in you greater riches than anything this world can ever produce you're a rich man today you've got a treasure in you today i tried to do a little research about what is the most expensive substance on the planet and and and there's some debate about that but but most folks would agree if you dig down far enough that the most expensive substance man has ever produced is something called antimatter now i took physics in college i read what i could i don't know what it is if there's a nuclear physicist in the house i commend you sir ma'am i don't know what it is the more i read the more confused i became it requires that the government spend a lot of our tax money to build this huge like mile long tube and somehow they send one atom this way at almost the speed of light i don't know how and they send one atom this way at almost the speed of light and somehow those two atoms collide it's a woman driver i'm just kidding it was just a joke at please it was just a just a wee attempted humor they collide and when they do for just a split second there is something produced and it only lasts for a second there's this there's this subatomic particle that that becomes what they refer to as anti-matter and then it instantly goes away at any rate they tell me that if you could apply the math and you could conserve it anti-matter would cost 2 000 trillion dollars an ounce the most exp the most expensive and you can't get it at antimatter.com the most expensive substance man has ever produced and yet i would contrast that with the words of paul to the church of colossians 27 when he said to whom about us god would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the gentiles which is christ in you the hope of god you want to know why you're rich today you've got christ in you you want to know why you're rich today jesus christ lives and i'm afraid we hear that we go [Applause] we need to take another look at it folks when i showed you that picture that vault door with all the gold some of your eyes got big i'd like to show you something even better look at a believer who has jesus christ living in us we are blessed we are rich we have a treasure in our lives oh a treasure in our lives but dear friends a treasure has to be guarded certain steps are taken when you understand the value of a treasure you do this naturally without even thinking about it you might leave an old muddy pair of work boots on your front porch but you're not leaving the keys to your new car out there because one of them has more value to you than the other if you're walking out of this going to your car and you reach in your pocket pull your keys out and drag a penny out and it rolls across and stops underneath another car i don't think you're either going to belly flop on the pavement or insist that somebody move that car so you can get to that penny but if you drag your keys out and a hundred dollar bill comes fluttering out of your pocket flutter's over on another car i'm thinking you're not leaving until somebody moves that car and if you are i want to follow you on your way to your car today now why one's a little piece of metal one's a piece of paper but we understand the value that's found in one and because it is valuable we take different care of it right i have a safety deposit box in the bank that i paid 90 bucks a year or did have just changed but paid 90 bucks a year to have this safe deposit box i keep a few things in there i have our passports stock certificates life insurance policies few things like that i have never one time gone to the bank have that lady me how can i help you mr graham i'd like to i'd like to get my safe deposit box please oh sure got a little you know piggly wiggly shopping bag that's a grocery chain down south you believe that grocery stores named piggly wiggly who was the marketing genius that came up with that but but if that's shop and save or kroger or water i don't know what you have up here but publix or that's down south too what do you have what's your grocery store kroger okay so you got your little kroger bag thank you help a stranger would you i've never walked in there they said oh you got some irish winner yeah and i start pulling items out i've got a spatula that melted on the stove and a burnout light bulb and scrap of a shoelace that got broken off she'd look at me and call for medical attention why why are you saving that what would you put that in there for you don't take extraordinary steps to protect something that you don't think is valuable i would tell you today that the care that i exercise protecting this treasure is directly related to how valuable i think it is if i don't think it's worth all that much i'll live any old way i want to but if i know this treasure can't be replaced i will do anything i have to do to keep this treasure safe i hope you hear me i'll live like i need to i'll dress like i ought to i'll talk like i ought to i'll do anything i have to to keep this treasure safe [Applause] that's why i will never understand people that get frustrated when a pastor i told you earlier i'm not a pastor anymore i'm a recovering pastor i will never understand people that get upset when a pastor tries to give them some guidelines to help keep their treasure safe why would anybody get upset when somebody tries to help you protect a treasure that cannot be replaced i'd rather step back and say pastor i want to thank you i love this thing so much i don't ever want to lose it i don't ever want to know i'll do whatever you ask me to do thank you pastor for helping me keep this treasure safe so this treasure must be guarded but it is not to be hoarded it is amazing to me to understand that with the incredible value of this treasure where god decided to place it because he did not put it behind strong reinforced doors the rider said instead that he chose to invest his treasure next slide please in these earthen vessels my dear friends as you read through the scriptures you will find vessels of gold vessels of silver vessels of fine copper vessels of ivory brass iron precious wood and even of stone but all of those are durable substances he said i put my treasure in earthen vessels generations can pass and a vessel of stone will remain or a vessel of iron will remain but god put his treasure in vessels made out of earth simple fragile things that the potter makes by the dozen vessels that can be easily broken vessels that are not perfect vessels that have flaws in them vessels that are not durable in fact they are rather cheap they are easily replaced they are almost disposable now we don't use these today i rather doubt that anywhere here in the city of troy there's a potter that has a store probably nobody when you need a new thing to eat cereal out of goes down to the potter we don't have these today unless of course you go to pottery barn and spend confiscatory pricing to buy some vessel to bring home oh i just i just hit a nerve right there on the third pew to go find you know go buy them because we want to decorate with them nobody use them for functional purposes they're too fragile they break too easy so that's not a perfect example in today's culture if the writer had been writing today i kind of think he would have next slide he would have said these we have this treasure styrofoam cups it's the best representation i could provide today to try to illustrate this principle that we may have a treasure but you and i are just simple styrofoam cups here's what it said i read it to you but we have this treasure in common ordinary vessels why that the excellency of the power may be of god and not of us i want you to understand when you're a vessel like this all the focus is on the contents and not on the container you want to know why god put his spirit in common ordinary people like us so he gets all the glory and we don't get any of it all the focus is on the contents and not on the vessel let me let me do it this way let me do it this way next slide if you came to our home and my wife served you t in this i have no doubt that you would comment about the elegance of the beauty while you ladies would guys if you started that i'd probably show you to the garage but you ladies would be oh it's lovely did that belong to your grandmother what pattern is that where did you get that how long have you had oh it's lovely we probably would not even give it to you guys because you'd break it i'd never touch it we would we would talk about the vessel we'd talk about how lovely it is we'd ask how long it had been in your family but next slide if we served you tea in this nobody's gonna go oh how long have you had it did did your grandmother give that to you is that a family heirloom no all you're gonna do drink it out of this is man that tea is good what kind is it where did it come from how much did it cost because when the vessel is common the contents get all the glory i thank god for your church and i thank god for you but i hope when people come in here all they say is what was that contents what did i feel what is that about you that's different it's not about the vessel it's about the contents we have this treasure it's just calm and ordinary earth and vessels so that the excellency of the power can be of god and not of us that's what i would have you know today that god did not place this treasure behind doors to never be seen or admired it's not in a vault he put it in a common vessel so that he would get all the attention people say it sometimes there's something different about you that's really not true there's something different within you it's not about us it's about him please consider what paul said to the church of corinth in the first chapter of his first letter verse 26 you see your calling brethren how not many wise men after the flesh not many mighty not being noble or called he said when i take the roll call of the church it's not the who's who of society you're not here because you're smart or good-looking or rich or powerful or intelligent you may be all those things but that's not why you're here god has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise and god has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things that are mighty in basings of the world and things which are despised with god chosen yea and things which are not to bring to naught things that are why that no flesh should glory in his presence i'm telling you when we come into church there's not one of us that can stand here and say god sure is lucky i came today there's not one of us that can say boy this church really needs me there's not one of us that can say i am sure a blessing to this church oh we could come in and say i'm just an earthed vessel but he put a treasure in me i've got the holy ghost in my life i may beat nothing but he is everything he put a treasure he put a treasure in me just a common ordinary vessel it's about the vest it's not about the vessel it's about the treasure because you're not a vault hope you can understand this he never intended for us to keep the treasure he meant for us to pour out the treasure what good is a vault if nobody can get to the treasure when we got married my wife worked at a bank that was the closest we could get to money we didn't have any of our own remember those days newlyweds we don't know how broke we were i look back and i'm like father how did we survive we just didn't know any better young and in love and stupid maybe not in that order i don't know all i know is she worked bank and she was a teller and she became the teller supervisor and every night when they left she had to punch this code into the vault to lock it for a set number of hours they would usually lock it for like eight hours that way it would be open you know in the wee hours of morning be open when they got in and that one particular day she had a finger flub she locked it for 18 hours yeah well she came on telling me that the next day after i got to work and i said well baby there's got to be a way to open it um well sure there is i mean what what if somebody got trapped inside they'll be safe she said no you can't open it she said it's got air and it's got water but you can't get in it i said honey come on the manufacturer has to have some wait no it won't open she said we were 18 hours we couldn't open the vault she said which was a problem because all the tellers cash drawers are put in there overnight they had no money a bank with no money they had people coming in that needed to get their passports they were flying to europe that day no you're not as you well imagine the clientele was not terribly happy the manager was not overly thrilled with my wife because what good is a vault see excuse me i i need to i need to get my passport out take my wife to europe for our anniversary uh sir we can't open the vault i beg your pardon well i need my passport i'm sorry you can't get it what hey but the good news is it's safe nobody else is going to steal it either it's safe we promised you a safety deposit box and we are delivering on our promise it's nobody cares how safe it is if you can't get to the treasure i want you to keep this treasure safe but keep it safe so you can share it not keep it safe so you can keep it what good does it do for god to put a treasure in us if your neighbors never feel it never experience it never hear about it i'm trying to help somebody understand god put this treasure in you not for safe keeping but for safe distribution our church i was pastoring we were built a new building and we were strapped for cash and so we we had something twice a year three times a year we started to cut it down to two we don't do them anymore praise god we have these things that are called truckload sales i don't know if you're familiar with this walmart well there's numerous companies but walmart is the one we use they they have a very generous return policy you can bring stuff back for almost any reason i mean people bring stuff back they used once and didn't want it anymore they only bought it to use once and then they take it back and walmart will tell you where they can't sell it again so they will take this stuff and load it up in big pallets and they send it through a wholesaler and you can buy a truckload of returned goods to walmart buy the whole truck you don't know what's on it to buy the whole truck for a fixed price we would get those skids we'd break them open we'd get it all we'd fix what we could we'd throw away what was damaged and we'd put out a gym full of goods and then we'd sell them at half of whatever retail price was we lovingly referred to it as the cheapo depot people would come and buy you know it's all been opened or sold or something but sometimes it's just discontinued stuff they didn't sell anymore whatever there's a whole whole gym full of it we've made several thousand dollars helped our building fund one day we were unloading those skids i noticed that on one of the skids there was a home safe nice one digital keypad i mean pretty cool and it you know it had all the stuff on the box it's good to like 1800 degrees that is good to 200 feet of water and all that and it was 200 retail so that means we're gonna sell it for 100 bucks now i'm a fiscal genius i'm paying 90 bucks a year for soul security safe deposit box by this it's got holes in the bottom that you go down in your basement and you mount bolts in the concrete and then you bolt this thing down so nobody can carry it off and and i'll put this in and 100 bucks i mean in a year i'll make my money back and i'll have stuff right there if i need it i wouldn't have to go to the bank i'm a genius or not i shelled out the hundred bucks i took it home i opened it up it's locked there's no combination the previous owner kept the combination they didn't put the paper back in the box you are looking at the proud owner of a safe i can't open i've had it for six years it sits in my garage it's never been opened you say why do you keep it i keep believing someday our church is going to baptize an ex-safe cracker we're going to win some guy that used to open safe said i'm going to get it open and it just sits in my garage it works it's never gotten broken into whatever is in it is still there but i have no idea what's in it it may be full of gold or silver bearer bonds or cash antimatter i don't know what's in there i just know you might be looking at the richest person in the city of detroit right now i doubt it but you might because i have no idea what's in it because nobody can open beyond the door what good does it do for god to put this safe in the middle of troy and put a treasure in it that's not matched anywhere if we don't throw the doors open in our lives and say i want to share this treasure with you i want you to see what's in here i want you to feel what's in here a treasure does no good if the door of the vault stays closed the contents the value of the contents is of no consequence if it's shut up in a vault he told the 70 disciples right freely ye have received freely give i want you to understand today you are not a vault to hoard his treasure you are a vessel from which he is to be poured out again and again he wants people in this church to pour that treasure out into your family to pour that treasure out into your neighborhood to pour that treasure out into your workplace to pour that treasure out into your co-workers to pour that treasure out in a prison chapel service to pour that treasure out in a nursing home to pour that treasure out of the home bible study to pour it out in a sunday school class to pour that treasure out again and again and again and then be refilled with it again and again and again i read some time back about a place i have a picture of it i think it's the next slide i hope it is what you're looking at there is something called are you ready this fall barred global seed vault in the event of an armageddon type nuclear war or an asteroid collision or something like that someone with way too much money has built a vault on the island of spitsbergen which is just 620 miles from the north pole it's protected by hundreds of miles a frigid ocean and a host of hungry polar bears it's buried in the ice but well above sea level and behind four vault doors each one progressively bigger is a supply of the seeds for some 500 000 of the world's plant species this is this exists this is not hollywood that's there the idea was that if we ever had a worldwide cataclysm you could reconstitute plant life because the seeds would be protected my question is who lets them in let me imagine a few straggling survivors around the world a couple guys in asia one in south america i don't know how they connect cell phones are out smoke signals carrier pigeons i don't know and they managed to get together and get in a canoe and fight off radioactive polar bears and make their way to spitzbergen without gps and they struggle across the ice through frigid temperatures and they finally crawl desperate hungry the last hope of humanity up to this door and somebody says who's got the key i thought you had don't you have the combination i don't know i don't care if there's 500 000 perfectly preserved seeds inside it does no good if nobody can get to them you say how foolish would it be for mankind to die because the door was locked i present it's the same level of foolishness that lets your neighbor go to hell without you ever telling them about the treasure that you have in your life come on folks this city desperately needs your witness your neighborhood desperately needs your witness what if they starve out there and they never know there's a treasure in here he did not place this treasure and you all say it again he did not place it in you for safe keeping he placed it in you for safe distribution don't be a vault that your neighbors have to wonder what's inside i know there's something different about them they always look so happy they always say there's something different i don't know what it is please recognize you're not meant to be a vault to keep that treasure safe from them you are meant to be a vessel that pours that treasure out to them i'm nearly done i will wrap up momentarily that that little cup can't cost two cents i called the royal for some aurora texas warren said hey i do i need something for service to i need a i need a simple white styrofoam cup i didn't feel bad asking about that it's not like i asked for a buick it's just it's nothing right in fact they were so generous they brought two didn't need but one but i just i didn't feel bad ask about that because it's not worth much but you know what's amazing about this thing if i were to go set this rascal right there if i was gone if if we could eliminate evaporation somehow i could be gone for five years and come back and that thing would still have the same amount of water in it that it has right now it wouldn't nothing would disappear i mean if you get eliminated evaporation i'm just saying that thing won't go away that'll last for years as cheap and as dumpy as it is it'll last for years sitting there and and what's in it you don't know right now if there's water in it or not there is i'll tell you and i trust you believe me not a lot a little bit but you'd never know even though it's a vessel it still doesn't share the treasure if it just sits there in fact i would maintain the treasure only comes out of the vessel under two scenarios if it bows or if it's broken i am going to tell you before god that he is so desperate to get the treasure out into your community to get the treasure to your neighbors to get the treasure to the backsliders to get the treasure to your co-workers that if we won't bow he is willing to break us because out of our scars come flows the treasure the scar is not for our hurt it is for their good somebody needs to hear me right now what you're going through right now is not for your hurt it is for somebody's good because out of the scars of this experience as you walk through life everywhere you go that treasure is going to keep flowing out of you if i poured more water in here it would just keep flowing out again i'm saying god you don't have to heal all my scars because some of those are the mechanism whereby the treasure touches people i'm pleading with you today for the word i believe scott sent me here with there must come a bowing in our lives a surrendering to his purpose and his timing and there must come seasons of brokenness because god is going to get this treasure out there he didn't give it to me to just bundle it up and say look god it's safe god says yeah but i gave it to you to give it to somebody else you are a vessel not a vault i wonder if you'd stand with me here today oh it doesn't look as good as it looked a few minutes ago in fact it can barely stand in fact because of the damage inflicted on it it doesn't take much to put it on its face but that's god's design that's how god wants us to be vessels that are quick to bow vessels whose scars become the port from which his treasure flows i tell somebody today who feels like you're so damaged you can't do anything for god i tell you it is because you're damaged that you can do something for god because it's not about you it's about the contents we need to pray right now i need you to throw your hands up again to talk to god right now india there are callings going forth in this place right now there's the voice of the spirit trying to draw somebody saying would you come bow your neighbors need you to bow your neighbors need your brokenness your co-workers need you to humble yourself and bow and say god i will not keep this to myself it's been too long since i taught a bible study it's been too long since i witnessed to somebody about what god did for me this altar needs to be flooded right now with the saints of this church coming up and saying god i give myself to you again i want you to know lord i'm not interested in just hoarding this thing but i want to give it out so god can you use my brokenness god can you use my scars god i give them all to you i want you to use them any way you can let this treasure flow out of my life god i will bow myself i will humble myself before you i will surrender and heal to you god because when i bow the treasure comes flowing out of me the city needs you i will be what your workplace needs you doesn't just need you to be a vault it needs you to be a vessel let's pray let's pray let's pray [Music] is to be what you've called me to be that's what i'll be i will be what you've called me to be [Music] i say yes lord i agree my desire passionately is to be what you've called me to be that's what i'll be come on let your voice rise up and call out to him right now your prayer in this altar and the commitment you make here today could make the difference for one of your neighbors somebody's eternity could be rested on this prayer time right now one of your co-workers eternal destination could be hanging the balance with a prayer we pray right here today to be what you want me to be that's what i'll be [Music] hallelujah jesus i will be what you've called me to be i'll say yes [Applause] lord i agree my desire why don't we join up one with another and pray one for another here for a moment can we do that together i feel like we're a little lull here and we need to pray we really do god i can't bow for you and you can't bow for me but we can be a strength to one another why don't you be a strength to somebody who's broken right now we all go through it why don't you be a strength to somebody that's dealt with brokenness lately god might just be putting a scar in you that his treasure could flow out of it's all right pray one for another pray in the holy ghost pray in the holy ghost for one another right now god's got a purpose for you god's got a calling for you god's got something only you can do [Music] lord i agree my desire is passionately is to be what you've [Music] i will be what you've called me to be i'll say yes [Music] lord i agree my desire his passion and league is to be
