Breaking the Speed Barrier (Hypixel Skyblock)

three weeks ago i joined a race to see who could run in a straight line the fastest i spent 10 hours trying to be the fastest in the world after losing my sanity recording files and a sense of hearing i won since then more people have attempted the race and my previous world record has been destroyed i'm not even in the top 10 anymore there are times of less than half a second i thought i was done i had my time to shine but now it's over but then a new ruler took over skyblock dante he did the worst thing a government could do raised taxes outraged the community fought back starting an underground resistance to overthrow the government the leader of this resistance was the pig himself techno blade 1 000 speed ah damn it the video is glitching a bit and showing you future events i went so fast time itself is breaking anyway so yes techno came back to fight there was a massive war between the common people and the new government and what did i do to help i slept it was 4 am and the game set in an american time zone but when i woke buildings were destroyed dante was dead and most importantly we had a new mayor with each mayor comes new perks so i rushed to find out what med technoblade's perks would be grants everyone plus 50 speed and the speed cap will be removed but speed above 400 will be halved this is it this is what i need to reclaim my throne i'll run 100 blocks the fastest once more the last time i got the record i had 600 speed which was the maximum at the time i was bound to that number but if i plan my items correctly i can break that record get back here the best place to start is where the last chapter ended baguette jets island this is where i set the record now without making any changes i have 648 speed so i wonder how much faster i'll be huh four seconds not faster at all i kept at it for a few minutes and didn't manage to get any faster times maybe 48 speed isn't significant enough to make a difference so i went to my own island to um how do i put this slightly uh cheat yeah i went to cheat the race on other people's islands you can't use item abilities but on my own island i can use the rogue sword to buff my speed it gives me 5 speed every time i use it so i spammed it as much as possible and did my own 100 block race still 4 seconds i had 763 speed that should be so insanely fast okay looks like i really need above my speed but who would know how to do that who knows how to get faster i asked the forums i messaged youtubers i sent an email to usain bolt i even asked technoblade himself turns out google had the answer though here is a list of every item armor and weapon that gives a boost to speed i won't go through everything but some of the main changes i made where instead of using young dragon chest blade i use an obsidian chest plate it gains more speed the more obsidian you hold in your inventory obsidian the incredibly dense and heavy rock the more you hold the faster you go of course this fact inspired the game hot potato i had my level 100 black cat pet for 140 speed holding a yetard for 100 speed god potion for 200 speed and a few more reforges and talismans for a little speed boost on the end with all of this i could run around the hub at 848 speed eight times the usual running speed although strangely didn't feel much faster than usual how about i just zoom out on the field of view and yes i'm so fast and it took six six six seconds and the pistol resistance the haste block doubles your speed when you're standing on it i replaced my entire runway with this new haste block 848 speed doubled for some reason my mod still says i'm at 500 speed but my profile has me at hundreds over that so i won't worry okay haste block insanely expensive speed items in rogue short with wise armor for extra speed let's go subscribe three point nine nine nine okay this is getting weird i'm going back to bag at jets island nope okay nothing is improving i i need to figure this out and so came forth the experimentation phase i'm going to run from one end here to the other end without my boots on and time myself remember these boots give 170 speed well 85 after they're halved okay about 5.7 seconds now i'm running the same distance with the boots on should be a lot faster three four five and it's the exact same time what you can see i had 85 more speed on the second run and it was the same time maybe i just zigzagged or something yeah i'm sure if i get more speed it'll go well wait what if i go below 500 speed this time i'm running with 493 speed and it took six seconds interesting if seven speed can make a difference then 85 definitely can you know what i think i think the speed cap is 500 oh gosh the admin specifically said that they removed the speed cap but it's actually lower than it was originally before you were supposed to be able to get up to 600 speed with young armor and black cat raising the cap but it was a lie oh okay if you look at that google translate says removed means 500 if you translate from english to this percentage down here was the only one that was right the number in the stats was a lie okay to put one final test on this to see if my hypothesis is correct i went back to my own island so i can now use spells and just a warning it's about to get fast i equipped wise armor to get 2 000 mana then spammed rogue sword swapped to my fast armor and equipped yeti rod i now have 1067 speed over double the maximum if this can't make me faster nothing can let's go yep it's the exact same time still insanely consistent actually i have 10 times the normal speed i worked hard for this and it doesn't matter i'm not any faster than i was three weeks ago but i'm not letting that stop my dream of becoming the fastest i have a plan to fix this and it involves some very important people but for now i want to see how fast i should be so i went onto a single player world to test how fast 1067 speed would actually make me i had to measure how many blocks i was actually running on skyblock so i counted every single one individually don't tell me there were easier ways of doing this i already did it i don't want to know the easier ways it's 150 so i placed 150 blocks down and sprinted with normal minecraft speed it took around 26 seconds which is close enough to 5 times slower that i can assume 500 in skyblock is five times the normal minecraft speed so now let's test how fast a thousand speed would be just got to give myself the effect speed 45 here is how fast i'll be in skyblock when this works i could go anywhere i want wait let's turn view bobbing on the world is shaking everything is breaking hey guys back it again with another survival island episode the world is shattering i can't wait for this to happen in sky block wait maybe i'll try even at five hundred percent speed it's cowboy it kinda doesn't dante wasn't the enemy i am that's awesome but sadly it seems 500 is the maximum in skyblock i can get more reforges better enchantments get more mana and reach 2 000 speed probably but in the end i would never move faster than 500 percent there's nothing i can do the universe is against me i give up unless i change the universe itself there was a hypixel staff member in hellcastle's discord server so i messaged him telling him the problem hopefully he can pass it on to someone who can fix it but that isn't enough i'm going to change the game universe itself increase the speed cap through sheer will and determination i will get the admins of the game to remove the cap i should talk to someone who cares about this who really needs speed technoblade speed is the only stat i care about in skyblock it was his mission to get the fastest speed possible that's why the perk was made for him originally surely he would be furious if he ever found out that it didn't work so i went on a quest to talk to the pig first i visited his islanded game but instead of finding techno i found someone even less likely a4 paper he's the guy that gave me money three weeks ago when i ran the race he's just randomly here surely this is a sign i'm on the right path and people keep asking what my youtube channel is called i've said it a hundred times i'm ryan's toy reviews but since techno wasn't on his island i need to reach outside of minecraft i went to the most wholesome place on the internet twitter at techno the pig we need to talk the speed record has reached four digits yet i do not feel faster the admins have lied to us the revolution is not over after thousands and thousands of milliseconds i had 13 likes and found technoblade doesn't respond to twitter mentions so instead i made a comparison video showing that higher speeds don't make you faster i showed my entire youtube viewership i mean i showed my entire youtube viewership who checks community posts so less than two percent surely someone important will see it and help me to all of you who commented that speed is halfed after the perk and that's why a thousand and five hundred at the same speed no you're wrong it's already halved in the menu see how rogue sword only gives me five speed instead of ten also if a thousand goes down to five hundred then what does 500 go to it has to go to also 500 no it doesn't and it'll be 534 hard which is a different you know what just stop commenting that okay okay i got a bit emotional of that i'm used to intellectual comments on my videos like creation wait what's the best way to get someone to like you give the money so i plan to join as a member to technoblade's channel i just have to pay him six dollars i hope they let me paint dogecoin most of my money's in that now and there we go i'm officially a member oh and i unlocked member exclusive community posts i wonder what they're like there's one it says technoblade truly worth my money but most importantly being a member gives me access to an exclusive discord server here i am and finally i can see techno the pig's discord profile i told the people on his discord my plight and how the speed cap is broken and that i must talk to technoblade and someone replied and basically told me that techno has everything closed to people who aren't friended it was no use he's a closed-off man-pig hybrid disabled messages on every platform can't be tagged in twitter post nothing i was done wait who's that there was a hypixel staff man so i messaged him telling him the problem but that isn't enough it turns out that was enough the staff had contacted an admin jaya varman and i had a message from him we'll try to fix it on monday yes i did it they are going to fix the speed cap i will run like the wolf i will soar like the eagle i will swim like the confused giraffe finally i have one it's thursday they haven't fixed it they released an entire patch that has uh let me count here one two one more than two 52 52 bug fixes and quality of life changes but no mention of speed oh and i read some more on the forums turns out every single technoblade perk is gone now all of them so at least i'm not being targeted i guess let's just run the race with my unlimited speed fun it's not fun i just wanna run i can't run a bug without bread there's no bun wait what's this i'm not done no we need technoblade and i'm going to get him this is the first official annual technoblade tryouts people from all corners of the globe come together and try to be technoblade contestant one prove you are technoblade hi i'm technoboyd and i hate orphans ah that wasn't great what do you think techno it's not going to work and i can't go fast in skyblocks very upset well if techno quits then i'm done
