practically tropical today in Altrincham summer well and truly on its way and the reason we're in altering them because Jamie has been in touch Jamie told us to come to jardim he tells us that they do big meats which they carve at your table and they've got the best salad bar that Jamie's ever seen well Jamie who doesn't love big meats and a salad bar [Music] I look well yeah I look well I'm getting this um well thank you for letting us come down what does that mean a garden that's why there's lots of greenery around okay and what kind of a restaurant are you I know we're going to get some meats and some nice salad but yeah it's um it's a Brazilian restaurant so the traditional Rodizio so we bring the meats around and the idea is for you to enjoy the experience so try everything from the salad bar from the meats that I brought around so it's more like an experience well I'm looking forward to this experience and some lagers there that I've not seen before first one it's a Brazilian lager Brazilian yeah it's very nice don't think I've had a Brazilian lager before you try today I will have some uh right okay obrigano oh that means thank you in Portuguese foreign [Music] nice to meet you Matt nice to meet you too so you are one of the founders here absolutely yes I'm guessing not Brazilian uh I've tried to pretend but it never quite came off I wonder why yeah um but uh I've been in Hospitality for about 15 years now and um I started working in the Brazilian restaurant train a while back and I actually love it the first time I ever eaten a Brazilian restaurant although this is unbelievable why they're not more places like this in the UK it's incredible and your partner Robert yes is he he is he from Brazil he's from Argentina okay he had an Argentinian restaurant first of all and then he moved into the Brazilian style the way that you can constantly serve the meat throughout the evening and you never have to rush or hurry just chill out and enjoy them all it's so much better than still doing one steak or one side or one main I agree okay look at this oh my God it's unbelievable so the pecania is the very top part of the rear of the cow so you can see how each part has a layer of fat around the outside but the meat itself is incredibly lean so it's amazing to barbecue it always keeps the meat juicy basically that is serious meat it's perfect it's absolutely pear what's Robert got here what's this Robert this is chimichurri oh I love a bit of chimichurri Argentina and spicy for excellence now the way to it is that you put a little bit of a chimichurri here yeah brother give us a little give us a little treasure on that yes um amazing thank you absolutely yes and here oh Robert good you stay away from me dripping [Music] oh look at that yeah [Music] the chicken thigh yes please and yeah man thank you very much thank you so this meat just keeps on coming is this for our benefit or it just the normal customer come in do they just keep getting more meat yeah it doesn't go in any particular order apart from the front that we've tried to make sure people always have good stuff early but apart from that my colleague here just goes around the restaurant she emo if you ever want to break you can always say no there's no trick to it if you say no it's not going to not come back but then next time you do warm stuff he'll come back again this sausage is one of the best sausages and the meanness that I've ever had and I mean that it's an Argentinian style sausages one Robert's so proud he strikes me as being the sort of man that's proud of his sausage [Music] it looks like a real skill cutting the meat what was the guy's name the guy's name is from Brazil I must say that without any doubt that maybe he is the only server in all the UK that is a real cowboy but it's a real cowboy he knows a lot about horses oh an actual Cowboy yes absolutely you work with in horses in Brazil for many years and he also grew animals then he will know exactly the quality of the meat that we serve [Music] okay this is a Gammon Robert's wife and the pineapples it's a very very popular in Brazil and it's very popular here help me I will help you help me otherwise okay and then yeah and then a little bit oh yeah come on this Gammon is cooked to Perfection I can see okay oh yes look at that see that's my ideal pizza topping that's why solid it's amazing isn't it yeah and it's Brazilian it is I've had many Portuguese while in South America wines but I think specifically Brazilian wine it's incredible I mean a lot of Brazil to be honest is too hot to make wine they grow sugar cane and they make cachata with it and that's fine but in the deep south of Brazil next to Uruguay you can make some absolutely stunning red wines it's an incredibly deep color like you can't see through that at all it's almost black like my car windows so we've got some Brazilian wine we've got some Brazilian beer which I'm not about a second it's very nice um cocktails as well yeah you do so what's this uh that's a caipur in here what it might be and you do a big range of cocktails yeah we've got uh well we can make anything because we've got some great bartenders here but uh our main cocktail list is our own um you know being an independent restaurant your group is the freedom to make whatever we want change it Whatever Whenever we want to whoa and let's go to a date on Disco I never thought I'd say this but not more me what's this okay bring it in and then you know what I'm start we're gonna have to bring the boys in Boy come on come on everybody and everybody else well [Music] I don't think I need to be eating any more meat for about six months although having said how much meat I've eaten I don't feel too heavy I feel good good quality meat that please go and visit this place I swear to you if you're a fan of me it's incredible Jamie thank you for the recommendation you mentioned the salad bar I filmed my plate but I didn't get a chance to eat your salad because that meat just kept on coming come and visit this place in order to come definitely worth it oh and by the way if you've got a suggestion you know what to
