roll we're talking about Chuck Taylor I'm rocking the Chucks so your character on bones in the first season yes was rocking Chucks I was rocking Chucks I was trying to establish a character that had different means of using how would work you know I'm a rebel so I had black pair of high top Chucks like yourself personal choice from you from you to bring into the character obviously and then they said we can't you can't wear those Chucks did you look at them and say don't you know who I am Ang that didn't work that didn't work no because then I would have had to wear like black loafers and a lce call chos Weeden and he'll take care of things yeah I'm sure he's shooting High expensive movies he's doing the Avengers yeah he's busy yeah he's in front of a green screen back not a blue one you're back no exactly they're shoot movie on this on this this yeah they could could The Smurfs too I know I've been hear that all day but I wore Chucks I wore a Chucks and that's a small officially approve I approve I have to ask you guys because this show 10th season so I'm wondering when you going back to 2005 when you first started making the show what is the biggest difference and similarity you see in television when you shot the show then and now it's changed so much the landscape has gone from a wide format of like many episode orders to a smaller format and and people watching show on phones it's not really about ratings it's about plus three or plus seven and what you get off to and yeah the way people watch things now it's a little bit faster and more it's it's quicker so things have just evolved into a massive amounts it's very transparent and the cable world's exploded and it's lack of quality cable and internet I mean it's it's crazy it's all everyone's making TV shows now too and 90% of Amazon to Netflix there's some good shows out there especially this one well we we've kind of maintained specially this I like the new girls well Meister do a good job that not bad not bad bones is better no just kidding she's watching this interview um I had to ask you though and when you play a character for this many years you played Angel for a while do you take on characteristics of these people like since you play them so many hours and so many days do you ever kind of think about them in that mindset when you leave the set is that possible yeah I think it happens I think it happens both ways I think it happens in that like they start to also bring in parts of you into the when you do a TV show after time and there's certain things that are you realize that you do you think I always thought I'm so different from Brennan but then you start realizing over time like no there's some things that are definitely similar I think I take things literally I'll correct people very brenon you work from the inside out and you work from uh bringing things into your character and you learn from your character as well as things that you know that don't work you know like the Chuck Taylor didn't work for me that was a choice acceptable I'm really unacceptable but you do have certain things I mean you know look when I was working on with Angel and Buffy it was a different type of show was a cult oriented show and there's really many choices that you could make to bring character like fantasy world like fantasy world I mean Booth is more grounded this show is about these two characters that solve crimes so you do bring some of that those elements from your outside world into it and um one of the things that's been great working with Emily is that we've been able to share uh and and build off that in order to build these characters for 10 seasons that's the beauty of it
