with our Boi The Rock episode 2 reaction I'm Kyle my wife Christine you guys are watching the genre verse YouTube channel be subscribed to it lots of great content anime reviews anime reactions like oh this will be nice it'll be cute just it exceeded my expectations so I do love being wrong when it comes to stuff like that indeed um I think this is going to end up being a real treat something that we will really really enjoy we mentioned our love of of Music we mentioned our um uh love for good characters and and Christine uh related to uh Boi her nickname um he Tori right yeah um uh you mentioned how you like just related to her like in the first few frames yeah there like the stuff she's saying like oh wow this this is me I'm I'm sure a lot of people watching this are like yeah I can relate too so it's good to have a character cuz like you see so many um they they'll do like different tropes and um it's it's fun to see one like this where it doesn't feel like it's forced yeah you know so yeah all righty then well guys let's get into Boi The Rock episode two puppy are you taking a cold bath oh my God I find it weird when athletes do this I mean I get that but what does she sore from I don't think it's because she's sore and just because like you can understand why athletes do it I still find it weird I like I like super hot baths like for relaxing in like I like I said I get the idea of of cold therapy for for joints swelling and and and whatnot when my shoulder hurts my knees hurt or other other parts of me are hurting like I want to crawl into lava that's what I want to be in want the the skin to to melt off yeah and not a shower I need it to like stay on like I would I want I would buy one of those uh uh inflatable hot tubs and keep it in the bathroom just so oh my God like that's what I want actually what we need is like a uh Japanese style bath installed with you can get one of those like water heaters and stuff like build it yourself um saunas yeah no why look no oh I see I thought you paused it what was that me yeah you I'm sorry popped in my ear I thought you paused [ __ ] no everything's going wrong today why I don't know konosuba better go off without a hitch happy sure your your wish is is uh or their wish your wish is their Comm I don't know how does it I'm trying to flip it I'm going to stop it's been a really bad day nothing's going right no I can't even English well like that's locked or someone's going to burst and hit her yeah no you've already been waiting her bubbly her bubbliness reminds me of uh chado from um uh yeah licorice recoil yeah yeah very chado type jeez wow [Music] [Music] a no I doubt it's shyness yeah she seems to be one of those that could easily talk to people if she wanted to and it's not that she can't or has trouble she just doesn't want to that's what it seems like yeah yeah this is very true the difference between being alone and lonely that was a cool wipe the way it did in the ears left uh right to left I don't know that word okay good I need an explanation okay so she likes music that is uh emo yeah she like she likes that but she also likes the uh she likes to Pine after what she doesn't have it's like those that like to um uh those that like to watch like cry prawn you know like they like to see they they want to to to feel maybe something a little bit like that that is that is a good point she's bringing up right there you know can can it really be Rock if it's sung by by winners yeah it it could be but but somewhere along the same vein um punk rock uh and and what we would call scene music so your emo your sco pop punk regular punks SCA whatever that type of of um uh back in our day those bands played out all the time relatively in inexpensive um I mean I'm talking like the days when when a uh uh Vans Warp Tour ticket you know for for a whole festival 50 freaking bands was what was like 50 bucks something like that um and you could go see uh Green Day with uh uh Green Day headlining uh the true story The American Idiot tour when when that album first came out with a sugar cult opening and New Found Glory as as the mid card if you will um was like 3540 bucks per ticket general admission so you could be right up on the stage for for one of the biggest tour Green Day Ever uh ever had and they would play out all of these smaller smaller venues and and all these bands that we loved nowadays it's bigger venues more VIP stuff there's all these festivals the Emos not dead Cru the when When We Were Young Festival things that are priced out of the range for most people that want that are fans that grew up with or it's just it sucks so bad I don't blame them though I blame streaming services see musicians and and bands used to be able to make money off of these things called album Sals they came on these weird round things no no no not vinyl that's a collector's thing today nobody listens to vinyl really they just look at it occasionally wipe it with a diaper that's a reference um uh but the the album cells used to used to feed the bands and and musicians and so they didn't necessarily have to charge an arm and a leg for tickets unless they're Metallica which is just stupid right um so I kind of get that point it's like it's like you want to get angry at them because it's like you're pricing us out of out of seeing you but also they've got they've got to pay their crew they've got to you know feed feed to feed their families pay their own own bills and the album sells aren't there and I hate to tell tell you guys this but your subscription to to Spotify or YouTube music or whatever Apple music it's not enough pennies pennies pennies per subscriber I mean it just it doesn't add up it just really doesn't so I get her point but uh it can still be Rock even if you're even if you're a winner and you can still be Punk even charging people in an arm leg for for stuff I get the I get it yeah support music by purchasing it when you can they can't take it from you either they can't take it from you good [Music] point no no [Laughter] there's there's a few um basis vocalists out there that are just topnotch you think of uh Getty Lee of Rush that's a primary one you think of uh uh Mike Herrera mxpx [Music] no o rough is there something similar here in the states I don't know we've known people to play but they never said anything like this so yeah yeah I mean usually it's it's um know playing for gas money you make most of your your money on on merch like that was that was like a big thing merch merch sales um merchandise today is insane like it used to be very very simple uh shirts hoodies albums pens like the like that po po posters um today it's more like that scene from from Space Balls merchandising merchandising with their real money from the movie is made Space Balls the T-shirt Space Balls the coloring book Space Balls The Lunchbox space PA's the breakfast cereal space BS the flamethrower that kid love this one yeah where it's like let's say the band is Less Than Jake you have Less Than Jake the T-shirt Less Than Jake The Lunchbox Less Than Jake the raincoat legitimately they had the raincoat yeah I've got that Less Than Jake the towel like Less Than Jake the mug again to make up for the lack of what album sales [Music] don't say that part out [Music] loud my [Music] I would love to be able to buy a new base I want a blue one you've got enough for right now we have we have base at home yeah [Music] n no it's not how it works oh man oh she's trying to get sick okay gotta what's with all the patches on her skin what is that that for I don't know but considering like how much stress she's putting herself under yeah that can get you sick no well it doesn't actually make you sick but it makes you more susceptible yeah you can't well not like with a cold but you know stress can make feel like nauseous and yeah yeah yeah yeah okay I think she's missing some context yeah mhm poor no she's not [Applause] I don't think under the table somebody get her a broom closet [Music] where's the [Music] whiskey oh my God why is the rum gone knows her from online she still can't bring herself to tell them either yeah little bit oh no the feeling of victory was shortlived I don't want floor soda how are your Long Island Ice [Music] te's we like to call those mistakes what do you mean just um and so uh few of my Army buddies when we used to go out um our nights would usually be be very very similar it would start off with everyone buying rounds of their favorite shot so I'd buy everyone round of of Jack Daniels Johnny would buy something uh Goodings would buy something um and then uh uh it would eventually get to okay well now we've gotten our warm and fuzzy we don't want to get you know blitzed right off the bat but then Johnny orders Long Island ice tea so let's start ordering cocktails and and and have some you know sipping drinks so people get whatever they get Jack and Coke or whatnot um and then Johnny starts ordering freaking Long Island IC teas and not just any Long Island Ice teas cuz he'll usually go and order the top shelf ones and I'm cheap I'm like man it's Long Island you just get well drinks thrown into it I don't give a [ __ ] and he would just keep them coming and keep them coming and keep them coming so those that's why they're called mistakes cuz after after a while you're out of money and uh one friend has Punch or headbutted another in the face and the whole night's done and yeah that was wives are mad wives are mad at the husbands and yeah Long Island Ice teas are mistakes but they're delicious mistakes yes [Music] baby steps [Music] mhm I would love to run a venue that would be fun that'd be so cool yeah book all the bands I want to listen to [Music] I don't know what would it be like today to um open a place that sells alcohol cuz I mean like take take a flight attendance for an example they'll pour like if you're going to have like a like a a whiskey and a and a soda mixed together you pour the soda first and then the whiskey on top so it seems stronger cuz people in alcohol can create quite a mess so I don't know what that would look like well I know here in in in our state um the alcohol overseers whatever are very very strict and a lot of places because they count drinks and they measure drinks and and a lot of places I've seen them use the uh measuring cups when they mix their drinks so you're going to get just what you're and I I I with all the regulations that are here in in Virginia I could I think it would probably be easy you wouldn't have to oh no I mean like just after drink after drink after drink I mean cuz like with that they do that and then you don't see them for a while so they're not going to give another beverage an alcoholic beverage to so you're just talking about messy drunks yeah okay yeah with them like yeah they'll just make you know they'll go away and they will come around again for a while everything is kind of uh uh off today with with people but I would still just just to have the bands man love music provide a place for local bands they have places here of course but mine would be better a you stayed up and you said something to their face growing so fast good job why is there ice in the orange juice there you go you can do it [Music] [Laughter] you know she's exhausted now mhm I'm exhausted for her [Laughter] [Laughter] uhoh fore fore for Fore spee a fries cute very much adorable really like the show like really like it yeah we don't have time to do another one though no we're going to have to do konosuba did we already see the ending I don't think we did I don't know we'll just watch it it's cool it's the drum roll ah recognize kaboon the heck is that supposed to be is that like a tadpole snail worm yeah okay yeah I don't know slug okay seem like like a tadpole out of water could be you know but yeah you're probably right are you really loud in your own ears or are you very quiet in yours I'm all right why did you I was just trying to help you hear yourself because sometimes you get really loud
