fishy one of the rules is limited loads for some of the boats which is a huge bonus for the passengers who do sign up on this adventure we're traveling just off the west end of catalina in search of dorado stoked on fishing day and a half trip going out august middle august we'll go with that signing up sign the paperwork and the good thing about this trip is it's limited load i think there's only 15 guys on the trip allowed so can't be more pumped there's all kinds of stuff happening right now so we'll see what happens on this trip we'll talk to the captain we'll go from there i'm ready fisherman's hardware yeah buddy in the house right let's go let's go get him let's go let's go not too many people know about it every day the last few days i've been seeing them the last two days on my way home i've put a handful on the boat each day so today the hot ticket today at least was a butt hooked fly line sardine aside from baits you know your fly lining rigs your uh that'll work just fine another thing if you guys about fall carving definitely use it anything you can use to your advantage or why not it's not too many things to help you out i'm sure that's one of them another very very crucial thing is make sure you check your drags you don't want to be out there fighting the fish and they have around your drag hook size probably like a 2 or 3 0 size hook our bait is nice baby a really nice size bait another one 25 30 pound test good morning from the el dorado we're just waking up as you can see eyes are puffy and we got the coffee in hand so limited load trip on the eldo super stoked on that and it is tuna weather but good news is there's a bunch of life out here we already ran across the porpoise didn't we oh yeah ran across the porpoise and what else we see it a lot of birds looking around see if we can find some life got the troll rods out everybody's monitoring that stuff uh now if you're just trying to get some coffee maybe some breakfast start your day this cranky motor is usually when you're cranking motors you're trying to get to those fish before the other guys that's what's going down right now so we're starting to see them they're starting to come up a little bit alright here we go 120 feet right here right now a really good mark down 150 feet right now solid down there you guys got the jigs on think i'm out oh she's gonna need help she looks like she's getting spooled get a bend on that rod hold on oh it's fooling me no no no don't do that don't do that [Music] all right stop right there bait fish right oh yeah yeah i saw a boil right there i was like i thought was that on your bait my bait was right there yeah yeah yeah yeah all right girl nice short pump short pump get that line back you're in no rush no rush we got all day out here and plenty of room damn that's all right look like a chew through too look at the line yeah keep it going we got one more we got one more get another hook on there he had it in his skillet nice rods nice and easy nice and easy right now so keep walking nice and easy nice smooth smooth smooth don't piss them off again right here like that that's all right brother bluefin tuna tough little battles worthy adversaries nice pots of fish there huh yeah yeah nice surprise up this way we'll take it yeah we've been seeing these fish here the past couple days to stop coming back from the islands and pick off a handful at a time you know oh yeah that's pretty typical oh yeah you guys see him over here out the back over here you guys want a little show hey guys let's check it out if i were you guys i get a cold sniper on and have a backup ride with the fly line while we slide up on these you can bomb your colt sniper in the middle of them drag it through there and as we start to drift fly line of bait switch it up but we're going to be doing a lot of run and gun and not too much drifting this is going to happen to us all day today [Music] looks like she just stayed in the
