[Music] hey it's me and today we're at the bellevue washington fire station and today we're gonna learn about fire trucks ambulances and the fire station look at what it is this is a big red fire truck whoa come check it out [Music] wow look at all these gauges huh so interesting [Music] it's a compartment with a lot of cool things in it all right let's go look at the fire station come on all right check out in here so it's really important for firefighters to stay nice and fit like over here these weights these are bicep curls and they make your arms nice and strong it's really important for firefighters to stay in shape because when they go in houses that are burning they might need to carry someone down the stairs or up the stairs and then down the ladder oh hey look whoa medicine balls yeah oh i love exercising hey some jump ropes have you ever jumped rope before check this out [Music] see every time i jump the rope goes underneath my feet one time now i'm gonna make it go oh i messed up i'm gonna make it go under my feet two times every time twice that's tiring being physically fit is really fun all right this is a treadmill it's where you can walk and then be in one place see and you can also run whoa here i go oh it's getting faster and faster [Music] whoa now i just went really fast all right hit the tunes [Music] that's fun oh hey pull-ups [Music] [Applause] now last but not least the bench press this is a great way to keep your upper body nice and fit so then like i said firefighters can help people and they're nice and strong [Music] yeah all right now let me show you the rest of the fire station come on [Music] check this out so not only do firefighters eat healthy and exercise at the fire stations they also have to sleep because firefighters are here day and night and just like you and i firefighters need to sleep and the reason why firefighters have a bed at the fire station is because they need to be really close to the fire trucks and ambulances just in case if there's an emergency so nighty night wait a second no time for sleep and now i want to show you an ambulance let's go [Music] look at what it is it's a medic unit also known as an ambulance let's go check it out come on let's look inside the cab [Music] whoa now we're inside the ambulance all right let's shut the door first things first safety first let's put on our seat belt all right here it is all right now we're ready whoa what's this it looks like a giant map oh you can use this so then you can see where you're gonna go um right there all right oh a computer whoa this tells you where you're gonna go like the address the information all about the call that you're doing oh hey look a steering wheel that was the horn we're going to help some people what are these these are headsets listen hello hello it's medic flippy do you need help all right we're gonna come help you [Music] that's awesome check this out down here the siren [Music] [Applause] listen if you ever hear that in your in a vehicle or on the sidewalk get to the side because the ambulance is going to help someone all right and this right here turns on all of the lights go check them out [Music] oh the lights are so bright oh check out this compartment i wonder what's inside oh hey this right here is a heart rate monitor and it gives all the medics the information about your heart and this this [Music] is a medical unit pack whoa there's so many interesting things in here whoa hey like a stethoscope [Music] whoa i could hear my heart beat wow that is so interesting all right let's lock this back up and go check out what else is around here [Music] another compartment this is where all the firefighter gear is see here's some jackets oh hey here's even a helmet that they wear when they go into areas with fires hey do you know another time that you should wear a helmet yeah when you ride a bicycle all right oh the back of the ambulance get ready whoa look at this this is the stretcher watch out here it comes [Applause] oh see this this is what you might get a lay on sometime and if you do just be very calm the people are trying to help you all right let's leave this right look at what it is it's another stethoscope put it on my ears listen do you hear that yeah that's my heart beating i'm nice and healthy all right put that right there what else is around here oh hey look rubber gloves i'll put one of these on all right these keep my hands nice and clean when i'm working in the back of the ambulance hey what color is this yeah it's the color blue oh look at this ew do you see this that's mr yuck if you ever see mr yuck somewhere do not eat it don't drink it and we should probably stay away let's look in another cupboard hey like this one wow that's interesting a lot of medications and things to help people if you're in trouble hey just know if you ever need to ride in an ambulance be careful be nice and calm because the people in here are just trying to help you well let's go have some more fun whoa what is that that looks like a hospital on wheels it's an ambulance it's an ambulance [Music] it's an ambulance [Music] it's an ambulance it's a little hospital on wheels it's a vehicle that can transport people who are sick or hurt to the nearest hospital with the medical team that rides around always ready for people who need help it's an white or blue but they're all here to help me and you so many neat things in an ambulance like oxygen tanks and first aid kits there's a stretcher in the back the patient lays on they've got bandages and medicine and a siren on top the door when the siren turns on all the cars moves it's an ambulance it's an ambulance it's an ambulance it's an ambulance it's a little hospital on wheels and remember boys and girls only call an ambulance in a real emergency it's an ambulance it's an ambulance it's an ambulance it's a little all right now let me show you one of my favorite parts come on yeah this is the kitchen and this is a fridge with a lot of food in it here's another one wow firefighters work really long days nights and so they have to have a kitchen so they can eat and stay nice and healthy oh hey look here's some food this looks tasty we have some salad a potato we even have some chips oh and a strawberry yum so what we're doing now is we're just getting ready for a training exercise yeah we're doing really good what's that yeah i see lights i hear a siren that must mean that there's a fire we gotta go help some people let's go come on oh do you hear that that's the sirens and the lights we need to get all of our fire equipment on okay first our pants and the boots we need to take off our shoes one shoe two shoes all right i need to hurry alright there we go got my boots on all right here we go nice nice and buckled put on my suspenders over my orange suspenders all right tight tighten that up oh all right my jacket put this on all of this will keep me safe when i'm at the fire all right here we go let me zip it up here's the zipper put it in there like that there we go velcro okay then we have a helmet this will keep my head safe perfect tighten it up and then last but not least my two gloves all right man i got ready really quick because i don't know what's happening there all right let's go okay we're gonna go to the fire let's go [Music] all right now that the hose is all hooked up and it's full of water we can put out the fire here we go so come on we're doing it the fire's almost out we just put on the fire good job [Music] whoa that was sure fun putting out that fire with you good job all right i have something else really cool to show you first i need to take off my helmet let's put that right up there the next thing i have to do is put on a mask this goes all around my head to keep my ear and my hair safe all right [Music] all right check out my sweet hood yeah this is the color black all right the next piece of equipment i'm gonna put on is this mask this mask is gonna help protect my eyes and then be able to deliver clean oxygen so i can breathe in the smoke are you ready look at me now i have my mask on hey if there's a firefighter trying to help you they might look like this but that's okay they're not scary they're just trying to help you okay let me put on my helmet now there we go now that it's nice and snug i'm gonna put on the air tank [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] yeah look it's an air tank this is what provides air to me just like [Applause] see now i can breathe when i'm going through a burning house [Music] do you hear that so what that is is air coming from the tank going through the tube into my mouth so then smoke doesn't come inside [Applause] all right let's go check out some more of the fire station all right now let me show you some of the parts of the fire truck whoa look at this this is a really big wheel and tire whoa it's silver and black okay let me show you inside the fire truck check it out [Music] [Applause] [Music] whoa that's really neat in there they look like they're ready to go to a fire oh look at this whoa there are so many gauges oh interesting there's so many i don't even know what they're for look it in here whoa one compartment [Music] another compartment and this compartment has fire extinguishers let's count them one two [Music] three good job come on [Music] interesting more things like a little broom it's nice and clean let's go to the back wait where are you going come over here do you see those there's so many different sizes of hoses oh interesting all right what else do we have hey here's a compartment whoa look in there this is a really big ladder so then the firefighters can go up really high and save people off of roofs and windows i'll lock it back up there we go [Music] ooh what's in here huh hey yeah a chainsaw wow there's so much great equipment on a fire truck hey another compartment [Music] hey bowl cutters an axe wow even look yeah even a hammer all right i'll just set that right there whoa look at this this is where you connect the fire hydrant to the fire truck and let me show you have you ever wondered what this thing is at a fire station yeah this is what connects to the fire engines exhaust so then no smoke from the fire truck goes inside yeah all right that was awesome that was so much fun learning about fire engines medic units ambulances and the life of a firefighter at the fire station hey it's really important to know what number to call if there's an emergency so be sure to ask a grown-up what number to call if there is an emergency like a fire hey it's also really important to have a working smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector so then if there's ever a i am so excited to learn about penguins [Music] whoa look at these animals yeah these are penguins and they're actually humble penguins oh they are so cute hello these penguins yeah their native land is peru and northern chile yeah that doesn't sound like a cold place those countries are actually really warm so these penguins live basically in the desert [Music] look at this penguin this penguin likes my suspender hey oh this penguin is so soft yeah since penguins are birds they have a lot of feathers and these feathers are really small and dense on its body oh hey cutie and do you see its wings yeah its wings actually are more like flippers because then they can swim super fast in the water and actually penguins actually can't even fly with their wings that's okay because you're a really good swimmer [Music] whoa check it out do you see how this penguin doesn't have stripes yeah they're just teeny little black dots hey and the one right behind it yeah there's those big black stripes that one is an adult so front one is a child and the back one is an adult hey they're almost the same size though how are you are you having a good day cause i sure am whoa do you see these penguins yeah they look like cute pets don't they yeah but they're actually not penguins don't make good pets although they're nice yeah they're living at the zoo so we can take care of them and we can learn about them and the more we learn about these cute humble penguins the better we can take care of their cousins around the world penguins yeah we're behind the scenes at the aquarium and we're gonna meet some penguins come on okay let's walk nice and slow and we'll be very quiet as well hey who are you oh this is hutch hey what do you do here i work with the penguins the penguins and the reptiles do you see the penguins back there are these your only two penguins here oh no we have more friends that are coming we like to grab a toy we're actually going to play with them sure okay let's grab a toy and let's see some more penguins look over there [Music] we really like a lot of movement with their toys so we have violet that has already come over to say hi it looks like it's enjoying my shadow huh that does happen so penguins really like contrasting colors they also can see colors really well they have rods and quilting orange just like we do okay they're kind of although they're birds they're kind of acting like kitty cats huh just a little bit they do like to play with a lot of different types of toys and just like kitty cats they tell us when they want to be touched okay come on interesting this is pretty cool hey get a closer look oh bye penguins are so silly so where are these pink ones from these penguins are from south africa and we have 32 of them here at the new period wow 32 penguins here these are from south africa they're actually one of several species of penguins that prefer the warm climate oh okay it's pretty cool interesting warm climate and penguins i guess you learn something every day okay let's take a seat right over here and then hutch is gonna bring a penguin over it's so excited i get a touch of penguin [Music] hello okay so i'm gonna touch the penguin with two fingers gently on its back hey are you ready here we go [Music] okay it felt so soft did you know penguins have 70 feathers per square inch yeah they're really small and really dense can i touch the game punch yes you can okay does that feel good do you like that she's showing off for you what does that mean when she shakes her head so that means she's really happy uh and you might be her new boyfriend i hope she doesn't want to kiss [Music] hey guys we're getting ready to feed the penguins today so we have some of their favorite fish these are called ocean smelt also known as silver sides because they have that silver stripe on their side and i have hearing it's silver like an anchovy and sardines just like they ate in the wild okay you guys ready to eat i'm gonna try and feed the penguins all right whoa look at these fish oh if i was a penguin i would sure want to eat this okay here you go here you go penguin here's another one hey there you go oh that one must be really hungry okay here you go [Music] all right so these fish are a lot smaller here you go oh perfect you want another one here's another one okay excuse me penguins here you go oh here you go oh you're hungry [Music] yeah fish are nice and healthy for these penguins [Music] all right yeah just like how we eat fruits and vegetables yeah they love fish how about you you haven't had one oh whoa there's so many penguins that want food there you go oh whoa all right there you go that one right here is so hungry they have gotten so many of the fish oh here you go okay yeah it's a jet ski we are going to have so much fun today riding a jet ski let's go whoa whoa whoa before we ride the jet ski we need to get on our jet ski riding gear alright look at what i have on now this is my wetsuit and then i also got my jet ski key and my safety whistle [Music] and my life jacket gotta put it on [Music] oh but you can't forget about the sunblock my camera crew gave me a packet of sunblock to use so let's put on the sunblock kind of tastes like mayonnaise but it helps you from staying safe against burns from the sun all right here we go yeah now that we got our jet ski gear on it's time to fill up the gas tank [Music] big full gas but tank about to be empty [Music] now that the gas tank's all full it is now time to ride the jet ski [Music] [Music] this jet ski is so colorful let's look at all of the colors there's green there's blue purple and [Music] black [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] riding jet skis are so much fun let's take off the hood of the jet ski and look inside the engine whoa this is inside the engine of the jet ski wow we got the gas tank right here and we got the battery and the intake and woo my favorite [Music] ah part spark plugs and then we got the engine this is the actual motor right here and then the exhaust wow what a powerful engine i think we should ride the jet ski some more [Music] all right let's put on the hood someone will come and save us hey today i am at a giant ranch with my good friends axe family howdy everyone this is gonna be so much fun because we're gonna check out some horses cows and other fun ranching stuff hey blippi why don't you go to get a saddle and we'll saddle up this is gonna be fun [Music] whoa look at where we are we are inside a real cow barn axe family's gonna bring in the horse and in the meantime i'll show you around look this is where cow dogs stay [Music] that's so fun oh and here's another one ah come on and another one look come here must be out working because the door's open the cowboys must have got him but look hello [Music] no one's in there whoa look at this hey no really hey this is hay and it's so tasty looking just kidding tasty to cows and horses here to go to the doctor and get all their vaccinations [Music] whoa it's like a wheelbarrow but it's really flat this is what you put the hay on wheel it out there and then go feed it to the cows [Music] i just got really dizzy okay one last place come in here whoa this is the tack room look whoa all these saddles okay in order to ride a horse i need your help let's pick our favorite saddle okay come on [Music] this one nah this one nah yeah this one looks like a great one okay but first we need a horse pad these up top oh come here look at this one do you know what color this is yeah one of my favorite too blue okay let's grab this horse pad and we'll grab this one right here and then we also need a bridle come on okay got the bridle let's put it on the saddle okay here we go yeah [Music] okay hey thanks blippi for grabbing the tap yeah why don't you hand me the saddle pad all right we'll put those on first saddle pads what do those do saddle pads go on underneath your saddle to put some cushion for the horse the saddle is what the cowboy sits in okay and so this goes on the horse after the pads and it'll strap onto the horse so that the rider will have a place to sit the bridle or the head stall okay and a cowboy or cowgirl uses a bridle to steer the horse like a steering wheel so like this and then over its ears like this and you control the bridle with what we call reins oh so these are the steering wheel to the horse okay well does that mean that i'm ready to steer the horse i think so buppy all right blippi your turn all right whoa okay here i go that's a good ride thanks here i go [Music] this horse is dark brown she is so beautiful [Music] this horse's name is fancy and she is so fancy that was so much fun not only is fancy a beautiful animal but we use her and the other horses as work horses to move cattle around the ranch [Music] that was sure a blast riding a horse let's go see what else there is on this great ranch [Music] here we go here we go oh four-wheelers are called four-wheelers because they have four wheels one two three four whoa whoa you're riding the four-wheeler with me isn't this fun whoa on the ranch there's so many great useful machines like this four-wheeler and like this this giant dump truck and this medium-sized backhoe and now for their biggest machine at the ranch now that's a big machine [Music] now that the kitchen is parked and it's safe to get up really close my good friend cody from axe family hey everybody he'll show you around are you ready yeah let's go [Music] okay so this skidgen is actually used for fighting wildfires it's it's like a fire truck and a monster truck combined you see these big tires this is just like a monster truck tire look how huge it is these are so the skidgeon doesn't get stuck when it's out in the wilderness let's go up here to the front up here we have the plow and we have the brush guard and this goes down to the ground and it pushes and it clears all the brush and it makes a fire line so that when the fire comes to the fire line it'll stop come on here to the back in the back we have a giant water tank right here this is full of water it's about 1100 gallons of water and there's a hose reel right here this red hose you can pull it out and run it out to a fire and put it down there's also a turret up on the top that spins around and sprays water but before i show you that let's go on inside the cab all right so now we're on the inside of the skidgeon let me show you around this is the steering wheel this is basically what's used to drive the skidgen around and if you look right up here this is the dash where all the gauges are and if you press on this button right here that's the horn you see that now look down here by my feet this is the brake pedal and this is the gas pedal and then right here there's this little lever this controls the blade up at the front of the skidgen let me show you the coolest part this is the joystick that controls the water cannon watch i'm gonna spray some water [Music] that was so much fun filming at this giant ranch
