bird would you play the game with me and maybe I can guess what sound you're making okay let me think of a sound okay see if you know what this sound is [Applause] that's a really loud animal wait a minute that's not an animal that's a fire truck s did you hear that oh there it is again where's it coming from Rachel hello will you come down and play with us I would love too me too wait a minute I know what sound you're being this Rachel you're being a puppy dog that's so cool so you made a dog sound I have the siren on a fire truck and blippi was a bird those are all sounds we hear around the big city oh so cool yeah well we're so excited to be at the Children's Museum of Manhattan with you yeah yeah at least since we're here with Miss Rachel I'm so happy to be here with you what's that sound did you hear that I think it's coming from over here wow oh Mika Miss Rachel I found out what the sound was it was a choo choo train yeah do you hear the choo choo here comes the Train choo choo here comes the train we're going down the tracks gonna get there fast yeah here comes the train I could spend all day watching you go choo choo and look at all these trains yeah yeah you know there are a lot of different kinds of trains there are trains that run on electricity electric trains steam trains and there are even gas trains like diesel trains yeah so cool and these Subways are electric trains these are the New York City someplace this is really cool a lot of people get around on subways that's how I get around that's awesome I love the subway whoa they go so fast whoa yeah a subway train can be really long because it has different subway cars all connected together wow whoa there we go oh let's make the biggest Subway ever here connect it together on the blue Rachel [Music] that's silly hey do you all hear that what's that sound oh I think it's coming from over there let's go come on check it out it's a food truck yeah that was the sound that we were hearing it came from the truck oh they serve food but they are also trucks check out the steering wheel come on whoa look has a big steering wheel and it has basically everything else you'd have in it again you can drive it around town buckle up oh here we go hey here we go remember first things first Safety First food truck food truck we have some fresh yummy food well actually what food do we have are we parked we're parked okay well if you come around here my lovely customers there's lots of food on this food truck so just step right up order anything you like I could probably make it oh okay well miss Rach what would you like to eat do you have fruit smoothies I do do you want to try the very very berry smoothie I do yum okay coming up the very very very very very very smoothie okay here's super duper fruit and vegetable salad ever with broccoli and carrots and really big because I'm really hungry about the carrots really big coming right up okay yeah I'm really excited to eat because I haven't had lunch yet this will be a nice healthy lunch oh my God there's one heavy salad yeah you said oh and here you go here's ten dollars wow thank you okay time to taste it yo that's yummy here we go I'll save that for later okay wow there's so many different sounds in the city there really are I hear another sound I do too me three let's go come on I think it's over there oh a subway car oh I love the subway yeah a subway car is a train that runs underground in New York City yeah and that's what we were hearing music from the subway go inside come on whoa look at this place whoa there's so many instruments I really like this one because it's one of my favorite colors purple let's see oh I see a mallet see it [Music] what did you find blippi whoa look I found this box and it looks like it's a box drum called a cajon can you play this instrument with your hands oh nice let's play some music here we go [Music] [Applause] and Miss Rachel what is that it's a really big colorful instrument and here's a balance good hey can you get something to tap at home to play along with us tap should we all make up a song together [Applause] have some fun [Music] yeah nice music is so much fun I like to play with everyone I like to listen I like to play I'm Having the very best day music is my favorite thing I love to dance I love to sing [Music] music is one of my favorite sounds and all of the instruments we were playing were percussion instruments because you need to tap them to make sounds that's right it's making a sound do you hear that let's check it out yeah let's go come on foreign [Music] yeah buses are really cool because they're above ground and you can see a lot of the city that way oh hey why don't you drive the bus and we ride in the back yeah I love you little eye oh something very very very tall is it that cheese that's close is it that really tall building over there yeah that's right no that's the tallest building oh I spy with my little eye oh something really big and it's over the water oh oh Miga isn't that goose I think I know is it the bridge yep oh did you hear that that's our stop I do I hear that sound let's go check it out come on here we go whoa the sound we heard was people playing at the playground looks like there's so many fun things to play with here whoa look at this box purple and yellow and I found two Red Blocks maybe we could build something really fast let's see what can we do maybe a really tall tower yeah great idea I'll put the final touch on it here we go [Music] but that's okay really fun playing with Fox your favorite part well my favorite part was learning about the trains that there are diesel trains electric trains and choo choo steam trains it was so cool to play with you miss Rachel that was my share their music yeah musicians and singers They're so cool and they play instruments maybe you will see some of those yeah hey let's go explore okay come on there's instruments everywhere and look Mika that is a cool drum kit no nice yeah oh and you know what these are for are those drumsticks you know it yeah oh thanks Mika you're welcome okay one two three [Music] yes that was awesome yeah drums are really cool they keep the feet you have to have really good Rhythm to be a drum player yeah do you know when you dance you need Rhythm but if you want to play the drums you also need Rhythm yep let's see what what else is look looks a little tambourine and a big tambourine hello yeah these are percussion instruments yeah you also need Rhythm for these is a Maraca have you ever seen one of these before yeah it sounds like there's something inside yeah what do you think it is maybe macaroni oh or beans [Music] or maybe rice yeah I don't know I like how that sounds whoa look at this oh it looks like a fish yeah looks like a fish swimming in the sea all these lines in it oh yeah I do see those Mika if you take a stick and run it over this area it's gonna make a cool sound try it out okay yeah here we go [Music] nice oh that's cool yeah oh and it has holes yeah so the sound can make a lot of sounds that reverberate and it gets really loud that's cool what's here whoa have you ever seen one of these before it's a cowbell dude try hitting it okay are you ready let's hit the cowbell [Music] should I hit it again yeah okay [Music] oh okay okay flip it you got the beat oh wow that was fun very nice and Mika what about this here you can hold the drumstick oh do you know what shape this is hmm yeah it's a triangle yep oh look has three sides one two three yeah oh Mika you want to try to hit it and see if it makes a sound yeah usually you would use like a little metal stick or something to hit a triangle but I'm gonna try the drumstick let's see if it does okay oh it's a very calming sound you hit it like a cowbell but sounds like that beautiful oh a recorder oh yeah yeah I know those oh I think you put your fingers over the holes here yeah and then you blow into it oh good job blippi oh hey I know another instrument that you blow into kind of like a recorder oh oh hey look there's one here a flute this is a flute it's a woodwind instrument look at all of these buttons wow there's a lot a lot of cheese there's so many yeah and then see this part the mouthpiece yeah that's where you blow air into the instrument let's see if I can make a sound okay whoa you're pretty good at the flute thank you I think I need a little more practice with the recorder okay let's try at the same time ready okay here we go foreign it's a case of some kind yeah yeah instruments sometimes can be really delicate yeah that means something that could break yeah easily yeah so let's open it up oh what's inside oh it looks like a tiny keyboard check it out yeah it's so small can I give you that case yeah oh and it comes with this tube oh funny looking hey look at this but if we put that there maybe I should blow into the tube and see if it makes a sound okay hey I bet we can play this with teamwork awesome okay so you hit the keys okay and I'll blow into it okay ready okay here we go [Music] [Laughter] whoa let's do it again okay here we go okay oh yeah it's called a melodica melodica that's a fun instrument oh Amica what's that oh this is an acoustic guitar check it out yeah it has strings on it yeah but how many strings are on this guitar will you count them with us okay one two three four five six [Music] that sounds really pretty oh yeah a guitar has strings and each string it's a different note that's right but Mika what's it called when you play oh the notes together a chord [Music] yeah I love string instruments these are really really cool oh yeah this is a pretty cool guitar yeah what other instruments have strings uh come right over here and look oh a piano oh yeah check it out it's a piano come closer oh do you see inside what do we see there's so many strings in there yeah well that's a lot more than six yeah a lot I think there's about 230 strings in a piano 230 strings well that's a lot that's a lot and if you come over here you'll see the other end or all of the keys of the piano are oh yeah yeah a guitar you strum but a piano even though there are strings hit the keys that's right over here have the seat thank you oh have the seat thank you so much hey because both like to play the piano should we play a duet yeah do I just win two people perform the same piece together okay okay I'll play the low part you can play the high part okay okay here we go ready [Music] good job Mika hey do you want to play a musical game with me yeah I love games come on okay let's go okay blippi are you ready to play a musical game with me I sure am okay and you can play along too I think you're gonna have a lot of fun with this blippi because you've got rhythm oh nice Mika what is rhythm oh rhythm is music's pattern in time so for this game I don't want to play faster than you and I don't want to play slower than you that's right we want to play in the same time exactly so first things first you need to pick out an instrument okay um I think I'll take this fish and a drumstick good choice I think I will also use a drumstick and I'm gonna play the cow bag that's fun okay so we're gonna take turns making up a song yeah that sounds like a lot of fun yeah but um what should we sing about we should sing about I'm feeling a little hungry we used to think about food oh food I love food me too um who goes first so I can I get first so I can show you how to play and it's two lines and the second line has to rhyme that's the tricky part yeah whoa that sounds like a lot of fun but a little tricky because you need a rhyme exactly so I'll say two lines and then you say two lines and if we both rhyme we win the round yeah okay let's try it okay ready let's keep a steady beat song about food I like vegetables and I like fruit but I hope I don't spill food on my suit I really like to eat ice cream I think Mika and me make a nice team [Applause] it's hard right yeah really hard you have to think so much yeah you really have to focus keep the beat and try to rhyme whoa it's kind of like patting your head and rubbing your tummy basically okay you choose the next subject okay uh this time let's do oh yeah that's a good one and this time I'll go first yes okay let's go my favorite colors are orange and blue I know how to tie my shoe purple and yellow that's my thing I like to dance and I like to sing I have a good rhyme too that was tricky I'm playing that game with me yeah I had a lot of fun playing planned but it was supposed to meet me here by now hmm [Music] huh I wonder where Mika went hmm [Music] did you hear something it sounded like a doorbell [Music] [Applause] oh look there's a doorbell let's try to press it I wonder who's home hi I'm Mika nice to meet you and this is my best friend blippi and we have work to do we do uh-huh have you told them what we're doing today oh yeah silly me I kind of forgot yeah we're using everything these boxes to build an epic awesome board oh Fort needs three things a cool way to get in and way to get out yeah and something unique to make it special it's that exactly we have to use our creative thinking how's this floor plan blippi you can go through my purple box and get some building ideas oh and Mika you can go through my Orange Box and get some fun creative ideas too 30 two wow [Music] whoa look a PVC pipe oh that'll be a fun plastic pipe where we can maybe hear something or use it as a trumpet and whoa we can use this a superhero okay maybe just the roof well I think we better get started building this fort let's do it [Music] foreign [Music] fun door frame by stacking up these blocks woohoo [Music] one door frame poster now you just need the other side [Music] and we have finished the other side we're just just put it right there and attach the door see put some string and some cardboard here with tape so you can swing open on a hinge [Music] look at the door the front door to our fort hey Mika I finished the door hey blippi it looks great ah thanks oh and Mika did you know that the world's largest doors are at the Kennedy Space Center yeah they're 456 feet tall or 138 meters whoa taller than the Statue of Liberty well I'll see you inside okay I have a surprise surprise oh okay whoa Amiga a ball pit yes I made a ball pit for us to Splash around and in our Fort whoa that sounds like fun I made it out of some plastic pipes and I put a sheet over it just like this whoa it's looking really creepy you did a good job oh thank you friend and I have some clips in my jam pack clip that together clip this over here and then we take some pillows for some nice cushions whoa it's looking really great and nice and soft so you don't bump your head would you like to help me with the finishing touches oh yeah I'd love to okay let's put this last bag of balls in there whoa check it out here we go zip okay one last thing to do what's up jump inside [Applause] this is fun well we've done a really good job making our Fort yeah it looks amazing it has two of the three things great Sports have a cool entrance that's the door yeah something unique the ball pit we just need a really fun exit oh I have a great idea oh wait right here blippi okay I'll be wonder what Mika's idea is hmm look I found this in the backyard whoa ladder yes some stairs for a slide whoa a slide that would be such a good idea for an exit well well we have the stairs and slides and we have some tools to put it all together oh okay well let's put it together maybe over there here we go great idea time to build potato hammer for you and a hammer for me [Music] wow it's looking really great Mika yeah now we just need to adjust it so it's the exit great [Music] and I think there's only one last thing to do now slide you can go first okay here you go thank you okay here we go hey great job friends okay here I go [Music] fun so what should we play uh oh how about we play a game is that where someone hides a dinosaur and the other person tries to find it and they get hints that are either hot or cold right there close or far away that's exactly it blippi that sounds like a fun game well who should go first how about I hide the dinosaur first and you can find them oh okay okay I'm gonna go out there so you can hide it and then tell me when you're done okay flippy see you later okay where should we put the dinosaur [Music] okay blippi okay well now we have to find the dinosaur okay I'll look see where it might be hmm no our cold just like Antarctica okay over here you're still pretty cold maybe it's over here oh but you're getting warmer [Music] don't see it over here either not like a volcano whoa it's our ice cube cause cold has what is this a giant giant refrigerator freezer you're getting really warm maybe like a warm toasty Panini oh yum whoa you're getting hot like a bowl with soup hot like like lava [Applause] the Sun or a star dinosaur in here you're getting really really hot but you gotta keep looking okay whoa I think we did a good job you did a really great job okay cool warmer obstacle course is where you put up different objects yeah obstacles things you might have to climb over or climb under or roll around hello and we can time each other maybe Mika you can grab some fly [Music] this is gonna be one fun obstacle course okay whoa okay here's how it goes first you need to walk over the pillow path then roll over this big red bumpy block yeah and it's a tunnel so then go you guys thank you perfect yeah bowling shoes yeah look at how smooth they are on the bottom yeah they're really smooth so you can slide around when you're bowling oh yeah and then you don't bring any dirt from your shoes onto the floor yeah everyone has to wear bowling shoes yeah well thank you so much you're welcome you guys have fun thank you hahaha oh shall we pick a ball yeah let's do it whoa look how colorful they are yellow one of my favorite colors oh cool and look at the number no this is the number nine oh yeah and look at this one oh red oh and it says 11 on it huh I wonder if that's the weight yeah I think you might be right here let's see okay let's trade okay nine this is eleven oh yeah this one feels heavier than that one yeah and the nine does feel a lot lighter yeah so it must be the weight that's right okay here you go here's your nine back oh thank you okay let's see what else oh blue one of my two favorite colors yeah oh and it has a 10 on it plus it must be 10 pounds yeah I'm gonna keep looking around though let's see oh look at this red one with the number seven on it whoa cool does that feel pretty good yeah this feels good I think this is the one I'm gonna use to go bowling okay oh yeah orange my other favorite color oh and it has a 13 on it whoa 13 pounds it's really heavy you want to feel yeah oh yeah this would be too heavy for me yeah I'm out yeah down here these are the gutters yeah the gutters and the lane you want to make sure it goes in the center and not in the gutters or else you get zero if it was in the gutters cool all right all right you can use the ball to hit the pins and I'm gonna try and make sure the ball doesn't go in the gutter all right here we go thank you yeah hello yeah did you see that yeah yeah I got a spare I hit all the pins down on my second throw if I got it on my first throw that would be called a strike yeah hey Mika yeah yeah you know how you said that this is the ball return yep have you ever thought how does the ball get all the way from back there to here you're right there's my ball and it comes back so fast huh I wonder how the ball comes here you should go check it out I'll throw my ball down again and you can see how it comes back that sounds like fun yeah whoa this place is awesome yeah this is definitely behind the shoots of the bowling alley hey I got special permission to climb up there and check it out hey come on whoa whoa cool whoa awesome look do you see the pins down there yeah there's definitely 10 pins right there oh interesting all the pins are attached by strings or ropes or whatnot oh and it's so colorful okay I'm gonna throw my bowling ball down the lane and then blippi can see how it comes back all right here we go whoa did you see that yeah the ball that Mika threw just came right there the pins are getting reset to take some pictures for Mika whoa and did you see how the ball went through that gate yeah it looks like a door that was really cool all right I have to show these pictures to Mika she's gonna think they're so cool it was so cool back there really what did you learn yeah well first there's the 10 pins yeah yeah and then when you threw the bowl it hit some pins and then they all fell down yeah and actually the pins are attached to this machine with rope and string oh interesting and then it pulls them up straightens them down and sets them back down gently and then the ball it's on a slope right here yeah so the ball goes down the slope and then into this gate door and then it flings back what what happened I actually took some pictures for you you like it oh I know I see cool huh shall we play some bowling yeah let's go all right good luck okay you do whoa ah it's almost a strike yeah you almost got it yeah so close cool oh looks like my balls back there's yours whoa all right here we go blippi all right here we go oh I have three pins left wait Mika look I have three pins left too no no way we got the same
