said they're a little bit further this way all right boys and girls let's go whoa okay must be around here this is where we got that avalanche control call so dump truck back up to the job site okay i'm in position okay okay excavator your job is to dig and put snow in the back of dump truck okay all right one load good job dump truck ha good job [Music] excavator whoa the second load yeah okay really good job and good job dump truck okay now the snowmobile can play in peace [Music] wow [Music] hey look at what i got a garbage truck toy oh a real garbage truck are you ready to learn about garbage trucks and recycling today yeah let's go [Applause] [Music] so [Music] so [Music] now let's learn some of the parts of the garbage truck come on first things first the cab oh look at who it is it's tony hey tony that the cab is where the garbage truck driver sits and steers the garbage truck whoa it's so high though how do they get up there let me show you come on these are the steps that's so fun i love garbage trucks whoa look at right here you know what this is it's a fire extinguisher just in case if there's any fire near or on the garbage truck garbage trucks are really safe you'll soon learn that because let me teach ya here's some more safety features of the garbage truck look do you know what these are they're tire chains just in case if the road gets really icy and slippery you wrap them around the tires so then the garbage truck can drive straight and not slip and slide oh look reflective tape this is for light to hit and bounce off and make the truck really bright at night drivers trucks are so safe oh look a spill kit another safety feature this yellow bag contains absorbent pads just in case if there's any ewe and icky things on the ground that you can't scoop or broom up into the garbage truck so you use the spill kit oh come back here i have something really cool to show you oh whoa hurry come here look airbags watch this whoa did you see that the garbage truck just lowered because of those airbags and you use those airbags right before you dump oh and look this is how you dump the recycled goods out of the garbage truck this opens up because these hydraulic cylinders push the back door really open and then it dumps all the compressed goods out of it but first we need some stuff in it how do you get it in there the coolest part let me show you come on watch this this is the grabber arm it goes it's like a claw it grabs the can pulls it in brings it up and dumps it into the hopper oh look the hopper up there and then it gets pushed into the compression body right here and it gets compressed really tight and then it gets dumped dumped out the back like i said wow i love garbage trucks [Music] now that we know the parts of a garbage truck and how it works let's learn about the differences between garbage and recycling garbage you only can use once and then you throw it away stuff like kitty litter bubble gum or even like a dirty diaper pu you only use that stuff once and then you throw it away but recycling you can use it many times because it might get melted down or just process back into the original product or something similar made out of the same material and if it can it's recyclable let me show you some of the things that i brought from home to recycle today oh look a milk jug that's plastic you can recycle plastic and then a tin can an aluminum can plastic bags oh a spray bottle that's plastic a glass bottle and even a cardboard box all those things you can recycle now that we know the difference between garbage and recyclable goods let's visit a recycling facility and sort out some recyclable goods we're at the recycling facility first we need our safety equipment on before we go inside okay here we go bright best bright heart hat and safety glasses [Music] and suspenders [Music] now that we have all the recyclable materials out of the truck now we get assorted this is going to be fun all the recycled materials come up the conveyor belt and then they need to be sorted because there's so many different kinds like paper plastic cardboard aluminum tin there's so many here let's go sort some [Music] all of the recyclable goods travel down these conveyor belts workers sort them out by the different types of materials and once it gets sorted out to one type of material like this cardboard it then gets crushed and compact into this tight log of one material then a forklift comes up picks it up and transports it to a different part of the warehouse and when the material is ready to be transported onto the back of a semi to go somewhere else to be recycled a forklift loads it into the back of a semi that was so much fun seeing inside a real recycling facility now let me turn up above the ground garbage trucks sometimes when i wake up early in the morning i hear a monster a sound i look out the window and there's a garbage truck picking cans up off the ground it empties the [Applause] [Music] the garbage man drives up in the garbage truck then picks that garbage up he dumps it in the back so that it can be crushed then he drives off to the dump he backs up to a pile of colors some are blue some are brown and some are green and wouldn't you know when there are some that can pick up recycling [Music] garbage trucks [Music] garbage trucks driving through the town this ice skating rink is the kent valley ice skating rink in kent washington whoa oh ice is so cold it's really cold but look at what i'm wearing yeah these are ice skates [Music] i love ice skating rings because you can ice skate you can even play hockey what's this oh this is a zamboni and today you and i are gonna learn about zamboni [Music] wow [Music] wow watch out [Music] wow all right now let's learn a little bit more about the zamboni zamboni hmm what a silly name look there it is right there let's spell zamboni together ready z a m b o n i zamboni [Music] zamboni's are used to resurface the ice at the ice rink the hockey rink whoa what an interesting looking machine can you see what shape it looks like yeah it looks like a rectangle do you see any other common shapes that zamboni has on it yeah the wheels and tires they are circles speaking of wheels and tires come check them out whoa looks like the tires have these little metal spikes in them do you see them [Laughter] these spikes are used to dig into the ice and grip the ice so then the zamboni doesn't slip and slide when it drives on the ice whoa all right let's see what else this zamboni has oh hey is the dump tank when all the ice gets pushed up to the front this is where all the ice shavings go it's kind of like a giant snow cone all right come back here whoa this whole unit this unit is the conditioner and one cool part of the condition is right in here whoa so there's like a razor blade down there that shaves the ice it's really hard to see but this yeah looks like a spiral this is an auger that pushes all the ice to the center then goes to the top and then goes to the dump tank oh and look at this here's some pipes so what these pipes have have water in them and they spray water up down to the left to the right and then from there the water goes on the ice and then it melts and makes it really smooth and flat okay watch this wow okay all right all right i think it's time to turn on the zamboni see these these are propane tanks this is what powers the zamboni all right let's fire it up turn on the key whoa all right check this out whoa look up there whoa it's really loud but that's the dump tank that's where all the ice goes and then you dump it into the ice bin in the back okay but come over here it's really loud because that is the motor that's what provides the zamboni with all of its power that's where the back of the zamboni gets all of its water from all right i'm gonna go resurface the ice rink [Music] do you see that this is a board brush it goes at the base of the board all around the ice rink and pushes all of everything in the middle for the augers and the blades and then get push the top to the forward and then you can recondition the ice wow board brush whoa this is the pro shop this is where you get all of your hockey gear oh hockey sticks so cool all right we'll look at those later but right now we need to sharpen my blades on my skates all right and this is the sharpening room wow so cool all right this is the blade master yeah see this there's metal on the bottom of this skate and we need to sharpen it this is the sharpening station so let's put an escape right here slide this tighten that just a little bit pull that up now it's ready to sharpen okay turn on the light and then there was light all right here we go [Music] do you see those sparks here we go whoa all right ah that's sharp all right now we're ready all right let's go check out some hockey gear oh some pads yeah a lot of pads because ice is really hard you don't want to fall down some more pads do you see what i see orange and blue hockey sticks no way look the color orange yeah and blue wow oh hey look here's two different kinds of hockey sticks do you see how they curve differently see this one curves that way and this one curves that way wow i'll give you an example so you take this one and you fling the puck this way because it curves that way but this one it curves the other way so you fling the puck that way oh hey look a perfectly placed hockey puck all right okay i got the perfect stick i got my skates and i got the hockey puck so now let's go play some hockey [Music] all right now that we have our hockey stick yeah and our hockey puck another fun thing to do at ice skating rinks is learn to play and maybe at your ice skating rink they have learned to play as well where you as a child can learn to play hockey and the point of hucky is to get the puck using the stick into the hockey goal check it out this is the goal whoa whoa so what you do like i said take the puck and get it inside the hockey gulf past this line with a hockey stick all right let's try it again it's gonna be a little bit easier because normally there's a goalie right there it's so much fun playing hockey [Applause] because the puck slides on the ice just like my face i miss that's okay because when you play sports if you miss you just have to try again like this [Applause] and eventually you'll win this right here is a specialty move it's called a knuckle puck you take the puck put it down vertically like that and give it a whack what quack quack quack quack [Applause] check this out now for the next activity i have a handle and a rope and it's attached to the back of the zamboni and for this sport i call it zamboni skating all right me blippi and look at what's behind me yeah it's a jet ski we are going to have so much fun today riding a jet ski let's go whoa whoa whoa before we ride the jet ski we need to get on our jet ski riding gear right look at what i have on now this is my wetsuit and then i also got my jet ski key and my safety whistle [Music] and my life jacket gotta put it on oh but you can't forget about the sunblock my camera crew gave me a packet of sunblock to use so let's put on the sunblock kind of tastes like mayonnaise but it helps you from staying safe against burns from the sun all right here we go yeah now that we got our jet ski gear on it's time to fill up the gas tank big full gas tank but it's about to be empty now that the gas tank's all full it is now time to ride the jet ski [Music] [Music] this jet ski is so colorful let's look at all of the colors there's green there's blue purple and [Music] black [Music] [Applause] [Music] so okay [Music] riding jet skis are so much fun let's take off the hood of the jet ski and look inside the engine whoa this is inside the engine of the jet ski wow we got the gas tank right here and we got the battery and the intake and my favorite part [Music] the spark plugs and then we got the engine this is the actual motor right here and then the exhaust wow what a powerful engine i think we should ride the jet ski some more all right let's put on the hood [Music] we're ready to ride here we go [Music] [Music] even i fall down sometimes when i try things well when i fall down i just get back up and try again because there's too much fun to be had to not try again [Music] here we go [Music] [Music] oh no my jet ski just stopped now that i'm stuck it's time to use our whistle yep safety whistle cause then someone will come and save us [Music] so much to learn about it'll make you wanna shout with me whoa oh look at what it is this is a motorcycle and today you and i are gonna learn about motorcycles [Music] hello oh this motorcycle is so magnificent do you want to know why i like motorcycles because they have two wheels and tires whoa one [Music] two let's look at the front one wow look at it spin whoa whoa let's go to the back wheel and tire whoa look at this back wheel and tire wow look at it spin wait a second do you see what i see yeah it's a person let's go meet him come on hello hey there what's your name hunter yoder what's yours my name's blippi nice to meet you meet you is this your motorcycle yep it sure is whoa what do you do with it i get to practice on these cool tracks and uh get to race all around the country whoa you get to race motorcycles yeah so that means you're really fast yeah whoa will you teach me how to ride motorcycles sure whoopi awesome all right meet you out on the track see ya did you hear that hunter yoder is gonna teach me how to ride motorcycles i am so excited let's go [Music] all right i am so excited to ride but first before we ride we need to inspect the motorcycle come on as you know this is the front wheel and tire whoa and it's connected to the front suspension which then gives when you go over big bumps and rocks and look down here this is the front brake and that is the disc that the brake crunches to stop wow and the front fender so then you don't get mud and stuff in your face when you're riding wow wow and look at this this is the gas tank this is where you put in all of the gas hello all right let's close that back up all right nice and snug oh and look down here whoa this is the engine of the motorcycle wow it looks so powerful hey we should turn on the motorcycle all right okay check this out this is the start button it's kind of like the key in a car but you have no key you just push the button listen whoa yeah oh do you do you hear that a lot of the sound of the motorcycle comes from the muffler and the muffler is where all of the exhaust comes from whoa all right come here this is the throttle when you turn this this is what provides all the power to the engine because fuel goes into the engine listen whoa so loud let's turn it off for now all right and look this that throttle and this over here these are the hand grips this is where you steer the motorcycle from and then you have your front brake right here yeah that's what i showed you earlier the front brake this is how you control it you just pull it in and then the clutch yep yeah let's see what else there is back here oh hey foot pegs this is where you rest your feet and right next to this right foot peg there is the rear brake see you push it with your foot just like in a car wow oh and back here this is the rear suspension right in there it's kind of hard to see looks like a spring oh and check this out this is the rear wheel and tire oh and do you see these knobs oh look these little knobs right here these this this is called the tread of the tire it goes in the dirt and grabs everything in its path so then it doesn't slip and slide whoa all right now let's go ride now that we inspected the motorcycle it's time to ride let's go [Music] [Applause] oh yeah what a beautiful day it is to ride got the sun shining the wind in my face yeah i'm ready huh wait a second am i forgetting something how could i have forgotten the safety equipment all right let's put the kickstand down whoa yeah wow i almost forgot the safety equipment check me out whoa yeah i have my helmet on which keeps my head safe oh and look my goggles which keep my eyes safe while riding ring ring my sweet top yeah it's a nice boring shirt ooh and some nice gloves to keep my hands safe ooh my pants yep gotta wear pants while riding and my boots yeah all right now we're ready to ride [Music] i love riding motorcycles they're so much fun all right here i come [Music] did you see that i love riding motorcycles whoa hey will you check this out with me yeah let's check out the colors okay so first as you can see i am wearing the color orange and i have a little bit of blue see but let's check out the motorcycle come here whoa this motorcycle has the color red on it whoa it's so pretty and it has the color white on it and black and do you see another color it's really shiny yeah it's silver whoa silver kinda looks like gray whoa all right continue to ride the motorcycle [Applause] [Music] this is my honda crf150r it has a cool engine package and tuned up suspension that's set up just for me so i can race around the whole country and go super fast on the tracks and uh this is all done by factory connection amsoil honda [Music] and today i am riding a crf 230f it's pretty rad i love it all right hunter are you ready to race yes flippy all right here we go start your all engine [Music] uh my favorite part about riding dirt bikes is jumping big jumps like that [Music] riding dirt bikes is a fun sport because you can do it with your parents your siblings your cousins anybody and you can choose to ride in the desert where it's open and free or you could come to a track like this and race against other people and see who will come out on top [Music] [Music] [Music] and my favorite part about riding motorcycles is not falling [Music] oh i sure do love riding motorcycles whoa see this motorcycle it's really big cool and this motorcycle is really small the great thing about motorcycles is even someone like you can ride let's go [Music] [Music]
