Blind Reaction: Steins;Gate Episode 1 "Turning Point" [REUPLOAD]

hello everybody flaming shark back with another video and today we are doing a 100 000 subscriber special um i don't know if this will be part one or part two or part three or part four part five part six probably should probably probably be honestly ironically enough this is of all the specials the first one i'm recording there's a good chance it's the last one you guys see there's a good chance this will be the final special but i'm recording this a ways in advance before i actually get to 100 000 subscribers so you guys won't be seeing this for a while this is my blind's reaction to the first episode of a new anime series that i'll be reacting to and it's steins gate um i don't know much about this um don't know anything about this really um except i know it's really highly acclaimed um that's about it i know it's really highly acclaimed i know i know a lot of people have asked me to watch it's one of the many shows that i've gotten many requests for and i'm interested i mean i don't know what else to say um i really know next to nothing about the show am i next to nothing i think i literally know nothing except i believe i could be wrong but i believe this is based on a video game i don't know if it's like a visual novel i think it's either a visual novel text adventure one of those type of games but i believe this anime is based off a video game you guys can clarify for me i'm not sure on that um the only thing i've ever i've seen i know people have reacted to it and i i know that uh nico b you guys if you guys don't know i've mentioned him multiple times in videos before um probably my favorite gaming youtuber did a let's play on steins gate obviously i've not seen that um as i've yet to play the game or the end or watch the anime but um i believe the game came first i could be wrong i feel like this anime isn't that old i feel like it's like four years i want to say it was 2013 it might be older than that but i feel like this anime is not too old i think it did it com post 2010 so um you know obviously i've reacted to older and many older enemies um attack on titan was 2011 so this might be younger than attack on titan a season one anyways um obviously code geass uh was like 060708 something like that oh nine it was in that uh decade and then evangelion was in the 90s cowboy b-pop was in the 90s so i've definitely reacted to and full metal alchemist brotherhood was what 09 2009 2010 something like that so it only reacted to older anime but this is a bit i guess on the newer side but not really um but yeah i am really about as blind as anyone here um and before we jump in i do want to also mention that um this is dub um yeah both of the animes i am starting for twenty a hundred thousand subscribers are both dubbed which is interesting i do have a a grand list of the shows that i'm gonna watch and dub and the shows i'm gonna watch in sub and both of these shows were on the doug list um there are shows uh certain shows i will specifically be reacting to the subversion and specific shows i'll specifically be reacting to the dubbed version like i said in the case of steins gate and the other show and i say the other show because even though i've probably reacted to it already like i mean by the time you guys see this like i said this will probably be the last special but it might not be i don't know which part this is going to be but when i'm recording this ironically enough i think this will be the last special but whatever the case may be i will be getting um i don't want to say the name of the other one in case uh it's still a surprise and this comes out before that and i don't want to say it but um yeah um i'm really interested to see where this goes i don't really know what to expect uh should be should be interesting you know um as far as further my prediction i guess based on the title um stein's gate um there's also a uh semicolon in between steins and gate as opposed to a space which is really [ __ ] weird and i don't know what that could mean i'm not even touching that i'm gonna assume that that was just because they wanted to be cool but um steins gates steins gates steins gate stein's gate so i was thinking about it was like gate obviously there's a gate whether it be literal or figurative whether it's a metaphorical gate or not there's a gate steins gate steins gate steins gates so either there's a character named stein which is probably what it is or we could be referring to when i hear stein i think of albert einstein i mean maybe this is like based on one of einstein's theories maybe something about the theory of relativity maybe maybe this is something to do with space travel um something with space and time i mean [ __ ] i don't know it's either see if it's a character named stein then i can't if there's a character in this name stein then i don't know at that point you really don't know it's either a literal or metaphorical gate that was like created or something by the stein guy um but if it's referring to einstein which is kind of what my brain came to this could be interesting this could be very science based um like i said i don't really know anything about steins gate but i kind of like that idea but we'll see we will see that's kind of my thoughts on steins gate i don't really have a prediction um maybe it maybe it uses the uh some of einstein's concepts because he was obviously a revolutionary in his time as far as the fields of science go um you know like physics and stuff so i don't know i don't know that's kind of just where i'm coming from um could be dead wrong here i probably am but this is a really highly acclaimed anime which is another reason why i'm kind of leaning towards maybe something very smart like maybe this is going to be a really psychological really smart show uh given that it's so highly praised um and i i don't know i mean i've also i've also apparently this show that's the other thing the thing i do know i almost didn't mention it apparently this show is complicated or hard to understand uh so it kind of has that evangelion stigma i don't know if it's as hard to understand as evangelion which is most definitely hard to understand as [ __ ] um which is another reason why i'm actually really interested because as you guys know neon jess evangelion favorite anime of all time yes i've still yet to watch the rebuild yes i will still react to the rebuilds just saying but um evangelion favorite anime of all time it was very psychological it was very smart it was very complex and um i a lot of people don't get it and if it's one of those shows that some people don't like because they don't get there's a good chance it's right up my alley so there are a lot of reasons why i'm really excited for this show and i almost forgot totally forgot to mention that i do know that this that some people don't get this show or that's confusing or whatever the case may be so i am interesting to i am interested to check this bad boy out um and yeah we're all ready to go so um that's all i have to say and let's jump right into episode one of stein's gate the 100 000 subscriber special whatever in five five four three two one and play all right so got a logo for uh nine anime which i'll probably take out all right yeah i don't actually have a consider can the universe be justifiably cold infinite yeah this is gonna be complicated may not have a discernible end but it had a beginning hmm and its component parts definitely have a limited cosmological shelf life hmm splitting hairs or not if history tells us anything it's that scientists often make very poor poets nice we're all just a ship of fools chasing phantoms heedless of what really underwrites natural law hmm i'm all right what a cute girl okay oh his eyes interesting that's how you start a show damn he's just like [ __ ] off all right we're about to get the intro fade to white intro no turning point yes turning point okay i like the lighting effect it's super bright and i have filtration commencing outside over and out okay infiltration okay this is a mortuary organization stink is all over this why did we come here again what the [ __ ] you're here because i permit you to be damn ooh a time machine neat wait what a time machine a good doctor has beaten this time i'm traveling oh devoted one he and his unqualified hubris has broken ground on the invention of the millennium and i'm morbidly curious to see where our theories intersect if at all all right [Music] the roof interesting we really just jumped right in like like this is kind of weird for our first episode what the hell is that the [ __ ] time is that time machine hmm interesting is anything not an emergency i'm sorry i know sometimes it's not but this one counts for sure these are really really rare and i wow wow look like an atm to you yes too bad so sad greedy gus life lesson i love this guy greedy guys the reality principal does like to disabuse us of our whims [Music] i [ __ ] love this guy in case in point this one's a dud ah look he's metal huh i don't believe it a metal upper and that's good ah you bet it is this girl very [ __ ] cute yes well you would know better than i i can already tell that they make an interesting whatever you're the best my name is a matter they got an interesting your attention please dr nakabachi's conference is about to begin on the eighth floor lecture hall dynamic that i can already see will be fun i'm already i've heard the handouts there in front of you is more or less the hard blueprint for one of mankind's oldest ambitions of course the theoretical scaffolding begs some explanation as i'm sure you're aware mainstream science currently boasts something okay don't be mad i think i dropped my upper but i'm looking for it wow the interdimensional vectors of time travel verified experiment etc bringing them under the same umbrella however has so far proved elusive doctor save your questions i have none sir i throw down the gauntlet as to your theory's authorship do you take us all for babes in the wilderness please world lines curve black hole dudes seem to be the main characters though i love the guy he's already very interesting her again she's in the intro that's interesting so given that she supposedly died a lot of girls that's always good clocks so is it time travel [Music] yeah we saw that happening [Music] there's too many symbolisms of time it has to have something to do with time [Music] oh guy that chubby dude don't play games i know you're watching that's right freak it removes you nothing to ignore me me take a good look go off deeply from the trough of future shock allow that woolly brand to be stricken with envy known as double o2 my assistant cosplayer and resident female 1 gina mayuri gina these are the members stop third degree in the little guy will ya it's getting painful bad one yoinked him out of the 80 percent off ben you allow me to find us pry open the tiny door hang a left at red queen's earth sats botanical and we're two blocks up in the warehouse lofts just before march hare's haberdashery chaos is our prime directive to pitch the world on its ear via the maddest of mad sciences if you knew all of this prior continue to stare blankly aha just as i suspected doth the charade mutant you really are i was just thinking how weird it would be or at least we're the weird old piece of discount software maybe we could stitch together an eight-bit turing test slash first-person shooter and find out ooh and we could use it on your 2d girlfriends to see if they're really into you they're not friends they're a harem i worked very hard for no one wants to discuss your den of iniquity we were just having a lively back and forth about the age-old question of whether or not the world as we know it isn't just some high-res rpg programmed into existence by a higher intelligence wow how do you know because as a concept it's absolutely bunk and because every moment we fritter away pondering such nonsense we lose time more fruitfully spent devising ways to unravel the organization's plan we got a lot of philosophy potentially you're gonna take us down the rabbit hole there hold that i want to know more about this you are addressing the rabbit holes pre-eminent denizen kilma helene triplicate chief wow chris chopper's got to be on the scene by now several sources independently confirmed that the impact occurred around noon the object appears to be a satellite as you can probably judge for yourselves at home it's massive okay retracing steps my earring came with me to see dr nakabachi's showboat this morning i remember that we left a lab together in fact yeah we were standing in the doorway of a half-empty lecture hall when the crash but then what that's a good question dude i did yeah i was right there with you we saw the crash on the news and you said the organization has made its move at last or whatever then we ran straight there to have a good look cancer doesn't remember anything you'd be surprised you were ranting sideways about it this morning said the doc got cold feet no no no no nakabachi's lectures started at 12 o'clock on the dot sorry dude you're having a stroke or something it was cancelled good thing too they'd be scraping you off the bottom of that satellite alternate reality timeline has the organization been tampering with my memory of course it's absolutely clear steins gate has chosen and there we go another reference no one gets but you the object consider your audience once in a while satellites consider your audience i don't got you number one but pack a [Music] so we got a super nerd a mad scientist and a cosplayer what'd you expect he gave it to us for free best cast ever hack hoist this fossil give the hack thing a rest and no it's a sauna out there just cause i've got some meat on my bones doesn't mean i'm like strong solid turntable action clockwise unique for a microwave i notice clockwise there's significance buried somewhere in that fact i can feel it approach from a quantum perspective hands rule of maximum the consistency of its effect on bananas tends to strengthen my steins gate hypothesis just what i was thinking stifle eat one for verification hell's no so be it the honors go to you my lovely hmm do [Applause] [Music] i like this song a lot there isn't a lot to say about the visuals of the uh outro unlike the intro which had me white box hey i see white fox there i didn't know white fox was involved in this oh [Music] corrected that about a second late but uh is that supposed to be the the girl with the red hair okay there is a there is a little preview at the end so um uh i'd love to know if there are any end credit scenes because excluding the final episode and the ova final episode because um this show has 24 24 episodes there's an episode 25 which is the ova and then there's another thing there's some other stuff there's some other weird stuff which i'll uh we'll obviously watch after i finish the show but um we'll get to that in time but um huh i didn't know what i was expecting going in time travel did cross my mind when i was talking about einstein and all that stuff uh it doesn't sound like he's talking about einstein though in reference to stein's gate but it is does definitely time travel mechanics um his text about her death traveled back in time and then she didn't die but they got the text so it didn't negate is this um oh [ __ ] one episode in and i'm already i'm already thinking like i'm really like thinking like obviously i think about everything i watch but i'm really thinking it might be the gears in my mind or if we want to be a little more stein's gate from the intro the the clock head is spinning because i am like really thinking and thinking of possibilities and what this could mean and where this could go and i'm like really thinking so yeah that's hype um there's so much uh the personalities let me quickly talk about the personalities uh main character the guy [ __ ] hilarious i love him uh i get i get i [ __ ] this guy is just already amazing he's self-proclaimed mad scientist main character sign me up and like i mean i guess you can kind of say rick sanchez calls himself the same thing and to be fair i mean he is one of the greatest characters like ever so awesome love him um cosplay girl cute girl uh interesting i'm curious to know why she's friends with this guy why she hangs out with this guy why she possibly lives with this guy kind of hard to tell if the three of them live together or not she claimed to be a hostage i i don't know very interesting um the bud so to speak the cool guy the [ __ ] tech guy or the smart guy whatever the [ __ ] we're calling him chubby guy very nice personality another great compliment to our mad scientist i think both of them are compliments to the mad scientist in a really cool way uh and then you have this other girl with the red hair who died and then he texted about her and then this whole thing happened he apparently went back in time or at least his text traveled through time and she survived now she didn't survive but now in this reality or whatever the case may be she is alive and he's like what the [ __ ] is going on very interesting very very potato um i can already tell that this will be a show that by the end of this show there's a good chance i won't understand everything just like evangelion i'll try to understand as much as i can um but we will see what i do and don't understand and uh [ __ ] this is gonna be interesting this is just the characters are very fun which is great they're gonna they're very enjoyable and i can already tell i'm gonna really enjoy just the character interactions which i think is gonna be a big part of it because you're gonna have the character interactions and then you're gonna have these crazy plot potatoes that are gonna go off the [ __ ] rails but uh there is a big time travel element it's clear that time travel is gonna be kind of the gimmick of this show but how they're going to portray time travel is going to be really interesting because we already got some form of time travel and it's very unclear this asset to the specifics of it and whatever the case may be it was really [ __ ] cool and really [ __ ] interesting and i don't know man this is this is [ __ ] interesting i oh i hate it i hate i hate it i hate i hate when a show is really intriguing but hard to explain oh man it reminds me of it already i've already like i said i keep going back to evangelion because i remember a lot of my reactions were really like either me being quiet or me saying it's really [ __ ] cool or really interesting and not actually um divulging my thoughts whereas now if i talked about evangelion i could go on for hours about what makes it so great but when you first watch it it's just um it's just oh wow and i'm already getting those vibes and i'm not saying these shows are going to be a like in any way i'm just saying that they they have that same intrigue potato intrigue factor um i'm already really excited and i'm already really happy i'm doing this show because even though this first episode was i guess you could argue a bit slow and it didn't really it set up intrigue all i was trying to do was set up intrigue and introduce you to the main characters or some of the main characters and i think it did that in abundance super well and even though it didn't really not a lot necessarily happened even though our whatever our gimmick is started it it set up the universe like i said it set up the characters and it already has me leaving already has me salivating to watch more to try to understand more to get more of where the actual story is going i am i am so excited to watch the next episode of stein's gate now and also his actual idea of what the [ __ ] like stein's gate is already being brought up his this theory of his that he considers to be steins gate and what that could mean and how it is that he was chosen either for steins gator by the steins gate and which is his his um mental concept of um some form of time travel uh potatoes and the specifics on that will obviously um become more apparent but i'll probably never actually fully be directly explained but will become more apparent over the course of the series i'm sure oh okay okay um so i hope you guys enjoyed this video um it certainly was interesting i'm i don't know how good the video was because again my reaction i don't again this is one of those series i'm not sure how good my reactions will be but there's a good chance i will really enjoy the show i will say first episode i am incredibly intrigued and interested it's just the best way to put it but uh i hope you guys enjoyed the episode hope you guys enjoyed the reaction i had a lot to say on this one and a lot of it is just oh ooh it's just like oh i don't i uh it's hard to explain but really interesting premise um and i'm really excited to just watch more and i feel like i'm repeating myself over and over again at this point so um i'm not gonna waste any more of your time with this uh hope you guys enjoyed the 100 000 subscriber specials i don't know if this is the last one obviously they'll have been 100 000 subscriber update and i would have said how many specials i'm doing and what on which days and i'd vaguely explain that without giving you what they probably were but uh if this is the last special i hope you guys enjoyed all the specials and if this isn't the last special then i hope you guys check out the remaining one or ones that still are to go and i hope you guys are excited for this new reaction series i hope steins gate is a series that a lot of you guys are interested in as much as i am and this is perfect timing because i got a phone call so i might as well cut off here anyways
