hey everyone rarity - air time for another patreon sponsored blind reaction and this one comes to you courtesy of Daniel Schultz who is requested that I react to binging with babish jigs permits and watch from adventure time by binging with babish now this is a video I've known about for a while people told me about this after I saw that was so time sandwich I think immediately they told me that there was a channel where someone attempted to recreate the sandwich in real life and that's what this video is that that is what I'm about to watch and it sounds like a fun thing to me I mean I'm very eager to see how they do this because that was a pretty crazy sandwich and well I think most of it yes just a matter of getting all the ingredients together the one step I'm a little bit unsure how they're gonna do it is the whole lobster soul how are we going to replicate that because I don't think most people are able to extract the souls from lobsters so at the same time I've never really tried so yeah maybe there is maybe there is a technique for it I don't know but I'm looking forward to this hopefully it's good let's get started and find out donal of adventure time definitely miss that show hey what's up guys welcome back to binging with babish where this week we're taking a stab at Jake's perfect sandwich from adventure time which of course starts with a steak sous vide so we've got a nice boneless ribeye here that we're going to salt and pepper before placing into our vacuum sealed bag with both thyme and rosemary I'm gonna distribute those on each side of the state we're going to vacuum seal it and place it into a 135 degrees sous-vide normally I want to go for more like 115 but hey Jake's the sandwich expert not me I'm gonna be able to find the in New York City our pigeons and I'm Magneto's so I've got a Cornish game in here that I'm going to debone and Broyles so we can put down the sandwich an equal tire thing hole deep owning a whole chicken is hard but deep owning a hornish game hen is more like surgery I do not recommend anybody ever tried doing this ever if you're gonna try this at home just use a couple chicken thighs or something next up we have the interesting challenge of how to tackle lobster so that lobster soul is pretty mellow lobster flavor so to me that meant making lobster aioli lobsters so lioe lobsters huh I mean that's fair I kept the shell of one lobster tail and cover with vegetable oil before blending into little pieces and simmering for about 45 minutes on the stovetop until you are greeted with lobster flavored oil this has lots and lots of delicious applications but we're gonna use it to make a sort of pretty good meat we're gonna squeeze a lemon into three egg yolks blend to combine and once the oil is cooled we're going to drizzle it gently down the side of the cup until it settles on top and then blend on high speed until we get a nice creamy lobster so Leo Lee there's of course bacon on the sandwich and I roast my bacon in the oven so I can render all the fat and now I get to brush it on top of our Cornish game hen that I'm going to throw into the broiler for about 10 minutes we're until browned and cooked it through some sweet onions play two roles here both as a sandwich topping and as a way to try and elicit some tears for salt some huh a bunch of stinging stuff in my eyes until finally I yield a drop of salty face water we're finally getting ready to assemble our sandwich so we're going to torch our subete steak so it's got a little bit of color on it and isn't so gray and nasty and keep your torch handy because we're going to slice up in our massive loaf of bread and hit that with the torch as well I don't really recommend this it was not an efficient way to toast the bread I would just throw it in the oven but it was kind of fun to do until my torch ran out of fuel both sides of the bread with cream cheese before slicing up some dill pickles and shingling them on one side of the sandwich while picking some fresh dill and sprinkling that over the other side of the sandwich some chopped up hard-boiled eggs are quote-unquote bird from the window some common cucumbers sliced thinly sweet yellow onion sliced roma tomatoes and now the tricky part laying our steak on top yeah I'm starting to get a little precarious not even gonna cut that thing Rob's holiness but I'm a completist and then our lobster solely Olli and of course about a half pound of Wow long last it's time to finally top up our sandwich squish it down that's uh you've maybe the greatest cross-section in the history of this show you can't hear okay giggling like a little girl right now because I'm trying to figure out how I'm gonna actually take a bite is physically possible but I'm no quitter so I'm going to slice off sort of a piece of this sandwich and try to roll it into a shape that I can fit in my face now I was a little stunned by my first bite it was a lot of flavors and textures all happening at once but was a pretty damn good sandwich for dinner that night I took it apart nated and pieces like a four-course meal there you go that was that was interesting yeah I mean where are you gonna do I forgot the bird from the window that's another thing but no no I guess you could just kill a pigeon but yeah he did it I mean and I guess yeah not quite lobster soul but I guess just it's some lobster flavor is what we're after and yeah he only makes sense to an extent because you gotta do something a Cornish game in probably good choice for for the window bird though I think I would have been more impressed if he would have actually taken like a pigeon I've been just ya know but that was that's pretty cool that was I mean it looked like a sandwich yeah uh didn't look terrible you know I'm not really I don't know not quite sure it's my sort of sandwich too much not really fan of like hard-boiled eggs for one thing that's a big thing that puts me off it but the steak that looked pretty good sous-vide I'm like I've ever had sous-vide steak but seems like a interesting thing just the fact that you put like a whole steak on there so this is what this channel does just recreate food from like different things that's pretty cool I mean it's a good idea it's a good good concept for a channel and it's something something original something different and they definitely did a pretty good job here I think and yeah looks like maybe Jack was on to something I don't know anyway I hope you liked the reaction let me know if you dead and see you in the next one
