okay I'm sorry that my voice is a little messed up I just woke up so to make a blend shape to hide the body under clothes uh for instance we have this shirt and underneath we have like this so we would want it to revert back when the shoot's being taken off but when we have the shirt on if we were to move around the model um which I do my book my my weight page is pretty good but you can see you will always have flipping right here so away we could fix that even if your weight paint is absolutely immaculate um you're always gonna have clipping in some places it's it's it's normal so a way to fix this is um we're going to select the body and down here on this little green triangle uh we're gonna click a new a little plus sign to make up a new blend shape I already have one I'll make another one um you could call it shirt on I want to just call it example and we're going to make it 100 or 1 or you can click here if if you don't want to drag it you can just change this to one we're gonna go up here I'm gonna go scope mode and up here at the very top we're going to turn on symmetry if you don't have this for some reason you can always get a tool Symmetry and then turn on the mirror and I usually do eggs um personally I like to keep the shirt on when I make blend shapes so that way I can still see the shape but what I'll do is I'll press shift and Z at the same time and we'll go into wireframe mode and you can kind of see where the arm sits under the hoodie so personally me I like my stuff to look like an absolute skinny Legend so I'll just keep going back and forth this to make it smaller um there's many many many different ways to do this you hold down shift and go across it it'll shrink it um there's many many different ways to do blend shapes so you actually don't need to follow how I do it this way but this is how I personally do it I like it to be like a super skinny Legend um you can do shift Z to make sure you're not going out of bounds so we need to keep in mind that we need this area of the body to be shown so we don't want to go anywhere past that and then we're gonna do the chest and the back go back into it you can see where the chest sits are the hoodie sits and keep in mind where this part is so we're going to just drag this back into the body and you can hold down shift to smooth it out and this this is a really long shirt so you want to make sure you only do it for the part that that you need smooth it out I could probably keep going up a little bit yeah we can do the back as well just keep dragging it away from it um make sure you get these shoulders as well it's gonna be a little confusing to to see everything but uh eventually you'll kind of understand where everything is because I know it's a little confusing so there's an explanation if you see where the arm is right here if we follow this it can see a curve here this is where the armpit is and then that keeps going down and that's the rest of the body it's a little hard to understand wireframe mode if anything you can do like the basic shape and then you could turn it off and you can look at it yourself as well if you really can't see so make sure to smooth everything out I know it looks very scary but this is this is this is the life of of creating it's probably my funnest uh part actually it gives me a big old laugh and then we're going to turn the shirt back on go back into control Z and make sure that nothing is close to the edges where it Clips so nothing here nothing here there and there so like that so now if we when we go into pose mode blend shapes reset back to default so you will see the clipping at first but if you pose the avatar um back into the position where you saw the clipping to begin with which I believe is like this yes you go up to pose go to object this does not freeze it in this pose by the way when you click Start pose mode it will reset we can click on the body go to the one we just made make the value 100 I think so you no longer have that clipping and it does look funky underneath so whenever you make your toggle to turn the shirt on and off uh whichever spot has the on for the shirt you will make this blue shape turn on and where you have it off you want to turn the splin shape all the way up or no all the way off sorry sorry I'm gonna redo it and that's how you make a blend a blend shape for clothes
