Black Rock Maui Snorkeling Tips | Kaanapali Beach for a Day of Great Snorkeling (turtles included)

jesus wendy all right here we go [Music] henry these are the babysitters with hattie it's erica and jordan time yay so we're going snorkeling at our new favorite snorkel spot black rock and cotta polish the hurricane's over water's nice it's beautiful and if you snorkel right up next to actual black rock there's tons to see tons of fish turtles turtles yeah it's such a fun place so our first stop we're a little hungry we are going to stop off in lahaina at this place called moku roots and pick up some lunch we're getting a lavender latte when conopoli gets busy parking can be kind of a challenge we scored parking right near black rock we are at the public beach parking near the western uh the public beach park here is free and there are a few different spots that you'll see as you come down conically um start here because it's closest to black rock and work your way down and you can also park at whalers village you just either have to pay or spend money at one of the restaurants or shops in there and get your parking validated so that is a great option and my mom used to when we were kids she always used to park at whalers village because it was just easier to get us to the beach and then afterwards we would stop and get ice cream and she would get validation and it was a win-win [Music] there's blackrock a few people on the beach few locals [Music] enjoying the shade there's not a whole lot of shade in kind of polly oh the wire looks amazing so we are sitting in front of the westin we're going to eat our food before it gets too windy out here this is what we got from moku route so moku roots is zero waste farm to table to farm food it's really good it's vegan so might be different from what you're used to they wrap all their wraps in these banana leaves we also got a lavender coffee um they were into a mason jar too everything on their menu is basically 15 every food item the latte was six dollars pretty standard for hawaii it might be expensive for other parts of the country but it's delicious so we are getting better about wearing our sun protective clothing instead of sunscreen uh just yet it's always better than to wear any kind of sunscreen but i mean we still do on our face and legs but this is helpful here we go oh the water's so crystal clear today not even in the water yet there's a turtle right here oh there's another one right there too oh that's a pretty one it's red there's another one back there oh he just stuck out all the water wow i've never seen it like that we're like right here on the beach i know right in here beating big guys [Music] that's insane i've never seen three just like hanging out at our feet before i stopped for before [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] we like to do a black rock this has come right to the shady tree over there on the beach put your stuff down and just walk right in you see the sea turtles right there same as black rock but just watch out for people jumping you don't want them to pull what is so clear it looks like the fists are like coming up and like saying hi to me right [Music] now hi honey who's looks farther up you know when you're up here notice that looks really high sure don't land on a turtle all right oh my gosh look at that view huh [Music] jesus wendy all right here we go [Music] stepping up black rock it's a great place yeah like it's a feeding frenzy after this hurricane came through this is nice up on the rock just hanging out actually not very big [Music] all right that was so good so kanapali usually looks a little bit different you have big resorts here so it's generally more crowded but it still has great snorkeling we're making a video of our best snorkeling places on maui a little bit for everybody so hit subscribe and stay tuned you
