Black Friday Deals, Teacher Outfits, & More! | Weekly Teacher Vlog #12

[Music] hey y'all welcome back to my channel if you're new here my name is brianna and i'm a fifth year third grade teacher in north carolina and i'm exhausted but i did want to show you my outfit before i leave there is never enough time in the day let me tell you but i did get through reading and math and we kind of got to rhyme today which is good my new sweater so cute it's from chic soul and it's coming out in their black friday sale so look out for it exclusive sneak peek right here but it's so soft and it's kind of like it's not super thick it's like the perfect thickness so that like it got hot by the end of the day like it's almost 70s and it's like still comfortable it's still like breezy through it but i think it is absolutely adorable and the fit is just perfect and then i'm just wearing black jeggings from target i need to get more of these and then my little booties i honestly don't remember where these are from these are probably from kohl's they're so old but they're brown and that's okay my mask is from old navy yes i'll see y'all tomorrow because i'm tired okay true life of a teacher here and it actually doesn't look as messy from this angle so let me move um we had to run out of the room at the end of the day we were working on these projects but we were all packed up so that was okay but holy cow i moved my easel up here i know it's blocking the library but since i have much more space and a student can kind of sit in that spot it's kind of out of the way and then all the kids can have a better view of it but we did start adding to the signal words and i revealed these today to review what we learned yesterday so this has been awesome and i really really love this anchor chart but i'm gonna leave the mess the students will clean it tomorrow and i'm gonna go through my turn-in bin i have my kids do a little pre-write today just so i can get a glimpse at their writing and then there's just a bunch of work that they've had to turn in so i need to go through this and make sure i stay caught up on grades and then i kind of want to go through my file drawer and file things so hopefully i get to that all right so i have just been grading and i'm exhausted but i've taken a look at what i need to do tomorrow and um i've gone through most of the things i just didn't grade one paper from today but i'm pretty much caught up and i just wanted to show y'all my outfit for today so i'm wearing this flannel quarter zip with like this collar it like cuts off here and it kind of it has zipper pockets and then it like glows out it's a good oversized size see i look like a square and then the bottom gets tight so it kind of scoops back in at the bottom and i really enjoy the length of it and it is super soft super cozy this is like straight up like legit like flannel and this is another piece from the chic soul black friday sale so i've been loving all this stuff i thought i would have to take this off today so underneath i wore this third grade t-shirt but i was so cozy in this all day that i didn't even want to take it off on the bottom i'm just wearing some dark wash jeggings from old navy which i'm gonna have to throw in the towel on these because i've worn them so much that the thighs are starting to rip and then i'm just wearing my old white vans on the bottom i'm excited because we do our united way fundraiser and this year if you donate a certain amount of money you get to wear jeans three days a week so you know that i'm gonna do that um i'm not wearing any face makeup today i started this new skincare and my face doesn't look perfect but i don't know i just wanted to give it a break and it looks the camera picks up a lot more than in person does it's looking like the discoloration and everything is looking so much better so i've been trying to be really good about washing my face and using serum and this moisturizer and this toner i'm using the dr jart stuff and then the correction cream is what i put on this morning which is like green and then it gets rid of your redness so we're working on it but i felt really good without any makeup today except for eyebrows and eyelashes mascara so i'm gonna head out for today i'm definitely tired my voice is just oh gosh it's just like teaching through a mask is tough but tomorrow's friday so we do have enrichment i teach reading in the morning and then math and then we have lunch and then we have a little bit of time oh we do have rhyme time tomorrow perfect because i need that and then we have enrichment and friday is our shorter day and then the kids come back and we have another little bit of time and then we have fun friday so we usually pack up after enrichment and then their reward for their positive behavior throughout the week is an extra little indoor recess time and they can bring in a toy from home that way we're all not sharing things and then they can get on the approved district games on their chromebooks i'm tired if you couldn't tell and i did have extra coffee today so i'm gonna go and i will see y'all tomorrow for friday that was weird hey y'all happy friday can you tell it's friday because we're rocking the no makeup again my face is doing weird things but that's fine mask life i just went through all of my kids morning works for the past three weeks because we have been doing the math for today from carcinosa which i talk about all the time this is amazing spiraling and it gives me so much data on things that we might not be touching on right now but the kids need to be seen constantly so i have an adding subtracting rounding two-step word problem time and graphing group or just wrote down all the kids that i need to work on those skills with i'm going to take this data this weekend and on their rhyme slides i am going to post some videos on there and some ixl skills that i want them to complete after they watch those videos so i have some data that they're maybe getting better or maybe i'll give them a sheet to work on or something but we need to get those basics fixed that way then i can remediate on multiplication and division i'm a little behind because of how everything has been organized this year with the change of schedules constantly and all that stuff but i mean that's okay so anyway right now i'm going through my monday tuesday wednesday thursday friday bins cleaning them out from last week and i need to put in my stuff for earth this week and need to put in my stuff for next week anyway sorry i'm cleaning out these bins and getting them prepped for next week i have to go grab my big pink crate over there and everything's already sorted into monday through friday so i'll just have to replace it over here however with the stuff over here i need to see what i didn't use this week what i need for next week blah blah blah blah blah so this is the greatest system ever i have taken all of my copies out for next week and they're ready to go my wednesday bin we don't have school because it's veterans day so it's just extra stuff that i need in small groups or stuff throughout the week so i just put it there but i grab the files and i slide them to the back and now they're ready for the next week oh my goodness i love it something i really want to get to today before i leave is filing everything in this drawer i'm not gonna be able to do it with one hand but i'm gonna pull out the file box i'm gonna get my files unfortunately they're all over there but i'll sort everything into piles here and then i'll be able to put it back in my files and then i'm going to make sure i organize my files by the order that we teach things i also wanted to add labels to them but it's just getting late and i can't continue to stay so that'll be okay maybe i'll start making a list of the labels that i'll need to create i'm just going to do it with my co-workers label maker so i'll show you what i mean in a moment okay so here's the aftermath of that this has been going on since the beginning of the year so i literally have so many different standards but i was able to spread it all out and then the things that i kept in my drawer were some of my plans that i reflected on and just some standards and things that i need to go back to so that drawer is completely empty for the most part so now i'm going to grab my files i wish i could like pull out my whole filing cabinet drawer and bring it over here now i think i'll bring my whole file over here because i don't want to put a copy in there that i already have so i'll just start at the beginning i have addition and subtraction i have two step word problems basic addition and subtraction multiplication graphing text features patterns context clues graphing uh just a whole array of things so poetry okay so my desk is cleared that actually wasn't as bad as i thought it would be and i always love like seeing the standards again i don't know it helps my mind so much so that was great my face is getting worse and worse by the hour this friend here but all this stuff on my desk here i had a student who was out last friday when we took a test and i keep giving it back to them because they keep like missing problems and i forgot to at the end of the day and i'm really frustrated because i wanted to get these grades in but that's okay the rest of this stuff is what i can do in like small group which honestly i should bring home a copy of each thing and i should bring home this hang on ow whoa i just broke my nails so hard so this is an interesting little contraption but you open it up and then these thingies slide down and one two three four five six there's six of them and i used to organize my small groups with this and i really loved this system because it was easy to bring home and it was easy to store so i think what i'm going to do is i'm going to grab one copy of all the stuff i have over here most of it is like extra resources that we made copies of but i didn't use more towards the beginning of the year i'm gonna grab those put them in here and then i'm also bringing home my yellow bucket i'm pretty up to date on grading and i don't really have to grade the things that i have in here but i definitely want to look them over and i always like more grades are better because i feel like it gives you a wide range of what your students can actually do so seeing that on their report card is nice but i'm going to bring that home the kids morning work is out on their desks the room is looking much cleaner than i did when i showed you the other day i have a binder on that kiddos desk and a binder on that kiddo because they are new to the school i gave actually this one was doing online learning but i guess he never got a binder so whatever i happen to have extra binders so i have that ready to go which is awesome i just need to get dividers and there's a lot of dividers i'm going to order on amazon there's a couple new things i want to get that vocabulary is still super busy however my kids are referencing it which is awesome but i still want to put a different pocket chart up there those two trays in the back i'm actually using for lined paper and white paper because the kid just grabs the top paper and moves along and that's just been working out much better for me the kids have been loving this anchor chart they've been referencing it all the time so that's amazing and this is like the perfect spot for this easel even though it does block my library if the kids are trying to get over there they just move it out of the way so that's been great and working out but my energy needs to end or i need to have a weekend so i'm gonna head out i hope you guys enjoyed this video i might have to split it up into two because it might be super super long but a lot of different organization tips and just things systems that i use in my classroom that i hope are helpful for y'all hey y'all i know this is so random but i am leaving right after school today to head to the airport and i have to show you these last two items from chicxol for their black friday sale before i head home for the holidays well for one holiday um so yeah i'm in my classroom in a row but this is one of their black friday deals i will have all the information on the screen and down below this is oh my goodness it's like one of those like you can tell the material of it it's like one of those super soft blankets but on your body and the inside is the same fabric it's not like a stupid lining or anything so so cozy and i mean obviously i have clothes on right now so it's a little weird but i love the length it's not too short and the fact that it's a 1x makes it so it fits perfectly it's cozy i always have trouble with robes actually wrapping around my body so if you're on the lookout for a nice gift i know these are a deal so definitely head over there it's super cozy oh my goodness i wish i could wear it at school today now i have to have a pajama day so i can the other item is this slouchy which these are also going to be deals i'll put on the screen again how much they are selling for on black friday i love the curved hem at the bottom i think it is so flattering especially with a pair of boots and obviously the back does that as well i really really like that hem this is a 1x and this one i've shown you guys slouchy's before but this one is a little bit thicker it's more of like a very light sweatshirt material and it's tie-dye so super cute i would keep this on all day but i was wearing my thanksgiving shirt this is a 1x as well and i really really love the fit of this one be careful because all of the slouchy's are different cuts so i'll link this specific one down below and then i'll try to find the other one that i have i think it's my green one that fits like this as well but it's just a regular like thinner t-shirt hey y'all happy thanksgiving i'm coming to you from my childhood bedroom um ignore the mess you know i don't live here anymore so it's kind of become a storage unit so anyway i had to show you my final piece from chic soul which is a part of their black friday sale and i am so excited this is the one that i was like most just blown away by obviously it's my thanksgiving outfit and this is a jumper with pockets it's a nice chiffon material and oh my goodness i have never felt like so good in something now i got a 2x in this i always always always size up when it comes to jumpsuits because i am long i am very long and i don't like it to bunch up and so just sizing up gives me that extra room that i need so it has these super cute little like flowy sleeves now the only thing that happens when i size up and you'll see i have it bunched here i have a clip underneath i just had a clip underneath to hold it together but i definitely need to safety pin the top here especially if i were ever to wear this to an event for school or something this is a little too fancy for me to wear to school every day but for a holiday this is beautiful it ties in the front and it hits me at the smallest point of my waist it is so so so flattering so up close this is what the top looks like and i just wanted something sleek and like i just needed a basic black just nice jumpsuit the bottoms have this slit up the cap it stops before the knee but it just has that flowy feature on both sides so that's just a cute little addition to the look and as you can see it's not tight at all it does have an inner layer down to here to fit nicely it has the pockets it has the tie it doesn't have a zipper or anything you just slide into it and the top is open enough that it's a comfortable fit oh my goodness guys if you choose anything from this sale i would go with this jumpsuit it is adorable so i am home for thanksgiving and i wasn't able to film all of this or get all of my pieces before i traveled for the holidays so i'm doing what i can to share with you guys one of my favorite companies that i've ever worked with or just like favorite boutiques in general because the clothes actually fit me so there's also slippers in the sale that i was not home to receive but i will put
