bitter and sweet we're in part three this one's titled the wicked servant and so uh this may be a little bit of the bitter side of understanding our eyes being open to some degree but it's it's uh it's about us getting the understanding so that we understand the sweetness and enjoying him so but if we try and eliminate the bitter um and only focus on the sweet we can find ourselves in a lot of trouble and a lot of the body of messiah has done that and many have faltered as a result and they don't understand that that bitter element although it be bitter in our belly it is actually necessary for us to understand or else he would never have given it to us in his word so we don't want to avoid the bitter bits and just go for the sweet bits because if we gave children that option every night at dinner and you laid out the dessert in front of them and you laid out their dinner and there might be some bitter herbs in there and whatnot i'm not sure they're going to be choosing it because they don't know that it actually matters for the nurturing and the growth and what they are what do you think michael agreed i mean if you give the kid the option of uh broccoli or ice cream they'll choose ice cream every time absolutely my case would be brussels sprouts okay you know i'm not eating them we share that in common than actually funnily enough what i want for me is cauliflower i'm big on that you know it's some sort of weird hybrid i'm sure hasitan came up with it somehow but anyway um but yeah so you know we we go into this series we also have a part four um i know we told everybody it was three parts um but michael has misled you no yes sorry but not sorry um we're gonna focus on the uh put the wicked servant down but we were trying to include the second part of this message was really gonna be the faithful servant but there's just too much to try and work through here and uh we thought instead of you know fire hosing uh the subject and and that sort of a thing that we would um break it into the two parts and so um part four will be on the faithful servant because there's too much importance in that part um for us to um you know rush through so uh we've chosen not to do that so uh next week at uh river shabbat will be the faithful servant so we will uh we will just look at um something sobering for us all to look at because both are servants which means they're both of the house of elohim and indeed we can spend our time as vessels for honor or vessels for dishonor and we've all had our time i'm sure with both and that we want to end up as a vessel for honor and that's the idea of going through and understanding how the moadim and certain components of all of these things and how they fit in because ultimately it's about finishing the race and that we may hear those beautiful words well done uh faithful servant so um this is why we look at these sorts of things there's no point uh just trying to focus on um a worldly isages of um of things that may or may not relate to bible prophecy so um these are focused around the modem as we should we'll speak about that in a second so wicked servant today with uh bitter and sweet and then we'll head for faithful servant next week of course we've already looked at the judgment seat of messiah we'll be revisiting a little bit of that today uh from another angle and uh and also the ram sheet and goat's judgment um and we gave a moa dean perspective and one that's not often considered and helps us reconcile some things that are in scripture which people traditionally just don't know how to view it i want to mention this in bitter and sweet anybody who's who here's seen elohim in blue who's gone through that yeah um in that i'm trying to make a point that you know the the menorah that is uh that we see this seven candlestick or branch stand uh menorah that we refer to um is mentioned in the book of revelation and the revelation of our messiah tells us that this is the seven cajol the components of his house and what's interesting is this was fashioned from uh a wild or bitter omen tree and so there's fascinating qualities about that and if you've not seen elohim in blue they're so fascinating that it ends up with some of the most staggering revelation i've ever received in my life it's staggering as to just the picture he is painting and how literal what he is doing is um so i encourage you to go and watch it also to listen to the the precursors to that would be uh michael did a great teaching on wrought of elohim of elohim and also the under the rod teaching um it'll give a perspective of what we believe the scripture has always been pointing to as a part of his overall plan of redemption i want to read this in out of scientific america this was just last year and it's kind of interesting it says that cracking the nut cyanide problem and i mentioned sinai in that teaching could make it easier to cultivate sweeter varieties sweet varieties of this ancient snack almonds the kernels of the wild almond varieties and also the pits of peaches and cherries and other sore fruits have chemical compounds that contain cyanide uh almond breeders have long endeavored to cultivate so these are just clippings out of this whole article that was in the scientific journal but i just wanted to highlight a few of them to cultivate varieties that lack the potent poison process that can be expensive and time-consuming so in the bitter almonds you'll learn this in the rod of elohim it contains the um amygdalin um which uh relates to uh the production of cyanide now too much cyanide it's bad for the body in fact you know in extreme amounts it can actually kill you but the natural form of cyanide in a natural sense is um actually has some really interesting properties to it and i mentioned that in in in the wrought of elohim known to the scientists is amygdalin the toxin is a type of chemical compound called the cyanogenic glucite luisa the cyanide-based poison is responsible for the sort of acidic or accurate taste found in wild uh almonds and kernels of course uh if you've ever eaten apricot seeds which is from the homogeneous of the almond if you've ever eaten raw apricot seeds you'll start eating it and it kind of tastes like an almond at first and then it becomes bitter and what you're starting to taste is the cyanide found in that seed and of course scripture tells us to actually eat the seeds um but that would be in proportion of course to a piece of fruit you know so if you had four pieces of fruit then eating the seeds with that fruit is not an issue you know trying to eat five pounds of apricot seeds in one sitting you know is not good for you and uh and you're gonna hurt the body doing that but in its proper and reasonable sense this cyan plays an interesting role in seeking out cells that can be breached that aren't potentially good for the body and so there's just a lot of interesting things to understand in that but the whole idea of what they were trying to do here in this article is essentially let's get rid of the bitter and the scientists are actually trying to work on this for the harvesting of crops because they're traditionally grown in highly irrigated areas almonds were cultivated however long ago in the parched slopes and look at this of the fertile crescent in the middle east so they're clearly identifying the origin of these things and the parched environments in which the wild almond roman was able to survive well i think the wilderness sinai um and around mount sinai these were kind of the only trees that were available the first signs of the sweet almond cultivation can be traced back almost up to 4 000 years ago so again there's an interesting analogy here that i just want to mention before we look at this wicked servant here today humanity's fixation with this night can be tracked through the ages almonds are repeatedly referenced in the bible interestingly enough they even mention it in the scientific journal they're giving credence to this reality modern day breeders have refined the process the crop has become incredibly lucrative so the reason for trying to breed and that goes into the article how they've cracked the genome and all this kind of stuff and the reason why they want to breed only the sweet varieties is because it's lucrative so there's money in only going for the sweet side so if we eliminate the bitter side we can make lots of money and i can't help but see a religious realm a so-called believing realm that has gone for eliminating the bitter so it can have only the sweet and go for this lucrative side and so we've seen a lot of um shenanigans and monkey business come into um bible-believing people so i think that we are well ahead of the scientists on a religious front and so the bitter and sweet of this is that uh michael and i refuse to be just trying to go down the sweet lucrative side we're gonna we're gonna you know talk about what all of what scripture says and hopefully in the best context and understanding we can get it to does that make sense to everyone okay so again this uh these analogies i want to start off here with let the dead bury the dead in matthew 8 18 to 22 reads this now when yeshua saw a crowd around him um please stop doing this to me here we go there we go um when he saw a card around him he gave him orders to go over to the other side and a scribe came up to him and said to him teacher i will follow you wherever you go and yeshua said to him foxes have holes and birds have the air have nests but the son of man is nowhere to lay his head this is interesting this is going to speak of you know essentially the price the sacrifices in life to follow him that's going to be required i believe he's actually saying it's going you know this will attack things of the flesh to follow me in simple terms another the disciples said to him master let me go first let me first go and bury my father and yeshua said to him follow me and leave the dead to bury their own dead now you would see this in a western traditional sense um as offensive very offensive language because of the way we would kind of view it and how we see western funerals i assure you it was offensive what yeshua was saying then too but but those offenses can be for different ways as we conceive them yeshua was not saying to dishonor the covenant and the fifth of that i believe is where we are to honor our father and mother well one of the things in ancient jewish um burials and hebrew burials was that you would um especially the firstborn son had a responsibility to bury their parents and in the first seven days they'd be doing a number of things there i have time to go into all of that but there was a real honoring at the end of a parent's life so you were to honor your father mother unto death now if you wanted to attack this out of context you'd say oh well yeshua was saying to disregard the instructions of torah and the covenant i can assure you that's not the case what had crept in at the time of yeshua and into jewish tradition by that time was became known as sort of the second burial practice and this is actually recorded in the in the talmud so when the flesh had wasted away and you'd gone you'd done your initial burial and they'd come back a year later and the bones were then collected and placed into what would be called bone boxes or ossuaries and this became a tradition much after the original honoring of your father and mother and so this became something that they had to do and in fact it became a money-making thing as well and now that day the sun would mourn but the following day he was glad and so they'd go through all of this and they'd go through their tradition because the four bears rested from judgement and they brought all this extra stuff into the equation and if you didn't know that this was the second burial he's referring to and he's referring to the talmud practices and those putting it on the people as the dead so you are not going as if you just lost a parent and now you're going to dishonor them according to the covenant and the practices um and understandings that we do have from torah so i want to make this very clear in context um because this all can relate to what the wicked servants start getting involved with okay we can get involved with extra tradition um talmud there's christian talmud there's jewish talmud there's things that come into the faith that can actually affect our eyes and ears and can lead us to a place of being a wicked servant and of course yeshua didn't tolerate that this is the stuff that's going to start affecting you you want to follow me get the talmud out of your life get this extra stuff and traditions and things get them out because it's gonna pose a problem for you my servant if you continue to try and keep all the weight of this stuff on your life and try and move forward to serve me does that make sense to everyone so i wanted to start that off and put this in real context for everybody so that we don't allow scriptures like this to be taken out of context by the way this has been used to criticize that yeshua was leading people away from the torah and in proper context of what he was addressing this is absolutely incorrect so i just wanted to address that but and but more the point is why did he not tolerate this and so anybody knows me who walks with me long enough knows that i'm not big on a lot of extra stuff biblical i don't mind you know i don't want to disparage um you know certain traditions and things that people may still have in their lives but if it comes at the expense of following yeshua i really just don't tolerate it and so it can be seemingly offensive um but it's it's uh even though yeshua may have been offensive here in this particular example he wasn't doing it for the sake of being offensive so just because one uh can sound offensive to somebody doesn't mean that's the intent of the giver his intent was come follow me and we don't have room for all the extra traditions okay so we look at the the real great reset so we got all this great reset talk well the real great reset is in the hands of the king okay and as we're to look at his real great reset there's particular things that he gives uh to the faithful and wise servant and and something he's saying to the wicked servants so i'm gonna read here from matthew 24 45 to 48 who then is a faithful and wise servant who is his master has set over his household so this is interesting so there's an there's a there's a master here that's being related to to the faithful and wise servant and he's going to put an overseeing role of the household okay i often refer to this as servant you know leadership or overseeing eldership all these kinds of things are being set over a household for a purpose just like parents for their children you take the parents away from the children and the children will end up in a really serious place of course this is why hassatan goes after the nucleus of the marriage covenant to give them their food at the proper time so good parents will give their food at dinner time they will feed their children grow them up be healthy you'll run a good household as best you can parents that don't do that again will have trouble some children blessed is the servant whom his master will find doing so when he comes so there is there's a particular thing here why we point to the moadim his appointed times and not our own vain imaginations because it's the way he chose us to view it all truly i say to you he will set them over all his possessions they're trying to do it his way not their way we may fall short of doing it his way thank goodness we have the blood of messiah as a result of that but just because we fall short of doing his way it doesn't mean that's not where he's directing us to parents aren't perfect but they can still do a good job even in an imperfect state and hence all of us as servants sit in that category when it comes to the faith but if that wicked servant says to himself my master is delayed so now there's this problem there's a servant that speaks of a delaying almost a well his appointed times aren't assured and there's a certain type of flavor that will come into the wicked servant i suggest to you to make such a statement would require talmud would require extra stuff being in the house because you're not looking at it the way he said and i've seen this all over the body on both sides so the wicked servant has now got something attached to him and it's being given particularly they're going to be the ones that go he is delayed he's doing these sorts of things they're they're not looking and in fact if we understand our scripture the ones who are blessed in all of this and we looked at earlier in the series are the ones who are longing for the appearing of their messiah so you've got two vastly different positions from the wicked servant and the faithful servant in this so we've been doing this series anchored in his fall appointed times we are told to honor them and to remember them every year um to remember them in the ones that have been fulfilled in a spring modem and the ones that are going to be fulfilled in the form of demons so this series is focused around looking at the events around yom teruah or feast of trumpets and young kippur atonement day of atonement in particular as we look at these events of this particular series and so we've looked at these events of this ram sheet and goats nation's judgment and also the bema seat of messiah which we're going to head for in relationship to the wicked servant from a slightly different angle matthew 7 21 23 not everyone who says to me master master will enter the kingdom of heaven or from heaven would be a better english translation but the one who does the will of my father who is in heaven on that day many will say to me master master did we not prophesy in your name cast out demons in your name and do many mighty works in your name so this is clearly believers and they're standing before the master from a believing perspective and now their messiah says to them i will then declare to them i never knew you it's the statement of intimacy it was a lot of extracurricular activity and imagination in your house didn't allow me to know you i've respected your sovereignty depart from you workers of lawlessness they fought the law and thought they had won instead of actually understanding who actually won and who actually met the standard of the law and so we don't get to make this up now at this point these are very hard passages for a lot of my christian brethren to read or to understand because it doesn't reconcile with a lot of their tradition or part of their talmud so this was a self position not a teshuva position these are believers literally going have we not it's all about them have we not cast out demons have we really we think we have the power to cast out demons we think we have the power to rightly discern his word we think we have the power to do mighty works all a position of it's all about me and incensely we are steering stealing the glory of yeshua and his ruach we are dishonoring this we are vessels imperfect vessels who are commanded to repent to go into a place of yeshua that we may be used the wicked servants have decided to elevate themselves they've chosen to go down a road of elevation before we get you michael to take us through this first part of the wedding feast um what's your views on that regarding some of the defining elements of the wicked servant it's um i like what you said about this idea of it's focused on self almost as if it's by our authority and we forget that the wicked servant tends to forget that he's supposed to be a conduit of yeshua's authority and he starts thinking of himself maybe a little more highly than he ought to but yet he's still in the house and i think this is one thing we we we inherit especially from our greek modern mindset is this black and white idea you're either all in or you're either all out and last week hopefully we showed that maybe you know in terms of tribulation there's this in between but so it is in the house of the master you're going to get some servants that are totally dedicated and then you're going to get your slacker you know that is maybe you know not fully invested shall we say that's maybe got some self-gain in there and this will become more evident as we go through today yeah yeah and it and it really breeds a form of delusion in the end the scripture says ultimately a great delusion the sense of spiritual superiority and um we don't want to fall to this trap any of us in fact the more he shows us his truth and how much we fall short ultimately um the less superior we should think of ourselves over anyone because we're seeing the state of what we really are we're going to talk about this in the brazen lab here today so we're going to end in matthew 22 michael yeah so i hope everyone has scriptures with them uh we're gonna have uh some actual reading you know it in the bible go figure right uh so matthew 22 and we'll read the first 14 verses and yeshua responded and spoke to them again by parables and said the reign of the heavens is like a man a sovereign who made a wedding feast for his son and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding feast but they would not come again he sent out other servants saying say to those who are invited see i have prepared my dinner my oxen and fat and cattle are slaughtered and all is ready come to the wedding feast but they disregarded it and went their way now you have to understand in ancient culture to this if you'd said you were you were coming and you'd been given an invitation and had the fat and calf and you disregarded that in an honor and shame society this was highly disrespectful actually uh if you did that to a king your head would be on the block sort of thing but notice what their reasoning this one went to his field that one to his trade things of this world you know that daily thing so that they're spurning the invitation from a king which again like in an honor and shame society to even be invited by a king was one of the highest honors you could have and we lose this because we don't have this mindset and they're disregarding that for their field or for their own trade something that you can have every day you know it just goes on and the rest having seized his servants insulted and killed them but when the sovereign heard he was rough and he sent out his soldiers destroyed those murderers and lit their city on fire then he said to his servants the wedding feast indeed is ready but those who were invited were not worthy so again worthy this is an interesting term therefore go into the street corners and as many as you find invite to the wedding feast and those servants went out into the street corners and gathered whom all whom they found both wicked and good and the wedding hall was filled with guests now i think people kind of miss out on the reality of what you should say and there's going to be quote-unquote wicked people in the wedding hall hopefully this makes more sense after last week's teaching when we kind of gave hope that you know there's hope for our unbelieving friend uh for our unbelieving family that there'll be some people that actually repent between the events of the resurrection and the ram sheep and goats judgment what happens to them those that that the elohim says you know what you repented come in i believe this is what this is referring to i.e the wicked and the good and when the sovereign came in to view the guests he saw there a man who had not put on a wedding garment and he said to him friend how did you come in here not having a wedding garment and he was speechless notice he's calling him friend now again in ancient times friends wasn't what we have today like today like you have a mate a friend you know a pal in ancient times it meant some kind of covenant actually you didn't just become friends that you it meant you you had some kind of covenant some kind of partnership and you would have been almost at the level of family and again we lose this because of our modern context then the sovereign said to the servants bind him hand and foot take him away and throw him into the outer darkness there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth there'll be mourning sorrow there'll be more because these are friends of the king and they're being thrown outside of the wedding feast for many are called but few are chosen again personally me believing that this is a a bridal statement many are called but few were chosen and it was the father of the of the groom who would choose the bride yeah so it is the bride that would be welcomed in and it's making that distinction and again if we don't have a lens or an understanding of an ancient hebrew wedding covenant we again this language you know i i know um vast portions of christianity that make that's people being thrown into some torturous torture chamber forever or something like that so he's he's taking his friends and he's gonna now torture him forever and dante's infernal you know and again we've brought all this tradition and talmud into it and we're then trying to make that or put it upon the scripture but if we actually allow ourselves some context on this um you know that they had 2 000 years ago you know a few uh um many are called fewer chosen so to be called which is clear in the brit had a show we are called we don't come to him unless we are called the ruach calls us he called all of you here all of us and so we're called into the house of israel we're called to understand the blood that bought us we we are called into this position summoned by the power of the holy spirit of our elohim but chosen is now another another matter what did we do with that drawing to him and so we're going to try and put that in context in both the wicked servant and the faithful servant as we march on um because many make the mistake well then unless i did what you know curtis or michael does or whoever or whatever you might be doing and thinking you know everything else well then you know i can't be chosen this is not correct there's going to be a measure here there's going to be talents here there's going to be things and so nobody has any excuses and just because you don't have the gift of verbal diarrhea doesn't mean that suddenly you're not in a place of being a faithful servant okay and so this is very important for the body i believe it is diminished his voice upon the earth right now because we did not go to discipleship we went to you know the the pope nicolaitan model we went to the pastor nicolaitan model only you know we didn't go to the body discipleship model and then and this has it causes the now a great harvest where apparently the workers are going to be few as a result yeah unfortunately the nicolaitan model keeps the people uh dumb it well not not done but it stops them from growing to the fullness of messiah and again like this is why we try to really push the discipleship thing okay michael what's here in luke but know this that if the master of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming he would have left not left his house to be broken into you also must be ready for the son of man is coming an hour you do not expect it notes it picks up a particular hour yeah it's an interesting allusion to yom what's also fascinating here is the house being broken into um apparently there's going to be a wicked servant that allows it now for that house they could have very serious spiritual implications here because if you have tasted or known of the ruach and then walk away or go away from what he's showing you you can be welcoming seven up to seven times the spiritual destruction in your life and i've seen people take the flying fox from judaism to christianity or christianity to judaism and you watch this happen and their house is being broken into as a result and it's uh it's quite serious in fact up to seven times more serious if we look at other avenues we can't go there that we'd end up in a spiritual warfare teaching today if that was the case but what we can say is apparently there is some in the house that can allow it to be broken into so it's breaching the protection if you will the hedge of protection of the ruach on their lives you know yeshua says elsewhere woe to you hypocrites you know you become a son of sheol twice over because of the hypocrisy the leaven the things we're entertaining we got here in luke 12 we keep reading on here but if that servant says to himself my master is delayed ooh here we got it again this seems to be a theme with wicked servants they're not longing for the appearing of messiah they've kind of got the greek model i don't know i don't know when he's coming back if he's coming back you know we're already living in the millennial reign you know that might be a stranger that's always been a strange one to me so somebody in the community wrote me and said if we're already in the millennial reign i want a refund you know i mean this uh it doesn't seem like a righteous king right now running the planet does it you know um but it's it's an incredible thing but this is what preterism brings in you have to get into biblical hermeneutics to know all that kind of stuff but it is one of the strangest ones that particular one that gets me but anyway and he begins to beat the male and female servants and to eat drink and get drunk so he's basically um a servant is beating the other servants coming against them being divisive doing these sorts of things um and it's interesting there the illusion to drink and get drunk isn't it michael so i mean obviously eating and drinking is satiating your appetites but in isaiah 29 uh 9 and 13 i used to quote this verse all the time but yah says that be if we praise him with our lips but keep our hearts far from him he will pour the spirit of deep sleep and delusion upon us and that that's equated to being drunk but not with wine or strong drink so this id and you read this in the prophets you know um the drunk the proud drunkards of ephraim you know they're not literally guzzling down the bottle they're they're deluding themselves like with syncretism and mixing pagan worship with worship of elohim like again this mixture bringing in all this extra stuff and apparently the result is you get the veil over your eyes because of it exactly they essentially what you're doing is we're entertaining the of mystery babylon we're welcoming her into our life and as we do that we bring in all the stuff which yeshua was coming against he was clearly stating this it's going to make you dead if you do this and and i try and warn my christian brothers and sisters and my brothers and sisters on judah she is not designed to lose no one boxes against the of babylon and wins no one inter um entertains her seduction and wins but it's not this adversary that has been created and allowed by elohim is designed to test and sift this is not something he will win over it he it answers to him he will deal with all of that but what he's doing is we've got a serious spiritual adversary reality that comes apparently as an angel of light and if you don't know what you're dealing with she just seduces you to partake in her come on come and partake and as a result you become somebody who just no longer looks to where we're supposed to like the modem his appointed times but you'll actually become adversarial against the very body itself you actually start to attack your brothers and sisters it's very serious implications so the master of that servant will come on a day again we have another illusion to yom teruah they're they're losing this now it's not that's not in their understanding they've reinvented you know the doctrines instead of having yaz appointed times they're now going to fight or kick against this he says we'll come on a day when he does not expect him and in an hour but he does not know basically you've now become ignorant of the very thing i asked you to how to view this and to understand it and it's all embedded here in these short little verses here in luke and and will cut him in pieces and put him with the unfaithful the result of this is they could be heading for the wrath of elohim actually miss young i don't know about you i'd rather be included in yom teru and the bema seat then missed that bema seat heading to the wrath and now i have to face the ram and sheep in god's judgment so this is this sort of thing where we we need to really really understand what is the consequences of this and we're going to look a little bit more uh at that mike i'll let you continue reading on him and that servant who knew his master's will but did not get ready or act according to his will will receive a severe beating this is a servant that knew better this is why yeshua really came against the pharisees they ought to know better this is again this is the servant of the house which implies he has an understanding of the inner workings of the house and what goes on behind the scene but the one who did not know and what did what deserve the beating will receive a light beating everyone to whom much was given of him much will be required and from him to whom they entrusted much they will demand them more so again it's not about what you know it's about how you go about it with what integrity do you go about with what he's given you because he's given more to some and less to others but how are we going about it are we giving it our rule are we doing our utmost is our heart in it yeah if we're indeed heading for a hard judgment then it won't be what we knew or thought we knew it will ultimately come down to who we know and this is very very important because who we know then determines the measure and the talents and how he can use us so if we don't grow to the fullness of messiah which paul urged the early cahull to do we need to know who he is not make him up and so we've got to get the leaven out house the tradition stop entertaining mystery babe and let us know who our messiah actually is and as we do this we will start to be able to be used and then that measure that talent that accountability will then come into play because we're speaking about the servants and the servants are in the house honors for vessels for honor vessels for dishonor all in the father's house so it's very important that we don't take these things out of context because again growing up in the christian world much of this wicked servant thing was handed over to the unbelievers them itis it's one thing that levin does it loves them itis it's everyone else and of course if you do that from a religious perspective you could be actually unable to participate in the great harvest because you're misidentifying this whole thing and so we don't want to be victims of that ourselves so we need to look at the bitter component of all of this so that it may allow us to enjoy the sweet components bitter and sweet okay the parable of the talents those who have your bibles go to matthew 25 and we're just going to read from verses 24 to 30. because when yeshua was speaking there and he's he's addressing the the crowds he's speaking in parables those who could hear would understand so the servant component of this will be able to hear they'll be having a sentence though so this is why we have these parables it's very interesting if we look at the wicked servant component that yeshua is addressing in this parable and what it can teach us and the one who received one talent also came and said now it's not the one talent that's making him the servant wicked or her it is that's what they were given so their measure was less than the other talents up to this we're going to go into the first half of this parable next week however master i knew you to be a hard man reaping where you have not sown gathering where you have not scattered seed so you're reaping where you're not selling and we're not scattering seed think of the implications of that this is even their understanding of the word i.e they're biblically illiterate so this servant is going yeah they don't even know the word they're biblically illiterate they're unbelievers whoa whoa whoa so they've taken a position now listen to the response from the servant and being afraid i hid your talent in the ground in the earth so what's driving this wicked servant here's another characteristic fear and i have never seen fear breed good fruit this is really interesting i was fearful of an illiterate unbelieving world so i hid this witness in the earth instead of being in the world and not of it i was in the world and became of it very very very different perspective here of what this person this this servant this believer is doing see i have what is yours interesting i have kept the faith for me and me only wow no witness no light but hey they've got the understanding they got their get out of hell card free or whatever their yeshua insurance policy and his master answering said to him you wicked and lazy servant so this is being said to the servant that's only had one talent they haven't been given or instructed to do all these supposed things that people are put on pedestals with you knew that i reap where i have not sown and gather where i've not scattered seed in other words you knew this you knew the power of my ruach you question my plan of redemption you have no faith that i'm the one who calls and it matters not how you perceive it interesting then you should have put my silver with the bankers the overseers at least in other words you should have grown or matured a little but you didn't even do that because you knew better because everybody you're against i won't listen to somebody who's rightly descending the word i won't be in a place where i can have accountability i won't be in a place where i can walk with others and to hear the word i'm gonna do all that no no no no look how corrupt they all are i'm the holder of all truth i'll just live my little life and keep my insurance policy well notice yeshua's blood isn't on the stand here it's not that there's an untruth there what's on the stand here is how they took and viewed that what they did with it they're now not even going to the bankers because they've got their self-righteous view and all that sort of stuff look at this and at my coming i would have received my own with interest in other words i would have seen you in a greater place of intimacy with me do you mean that mattered to yeshua oh yes it did it mattered a lot you didn't even grow because you knew better and you knew better out of fear while you were afraid to walk in this witness you were afraid to walk with others and to be in discipleship that's what actually drove all of this and now this wicked servant is in serious trouble they didn't even grow as a result therefore take away the talent from him the inheritance because the talents will see this in the faithful servant they seem to recognize something it's not of their strength it's all his what he does with the inheritance and give it to the one who possesses ten talents you mean the one who's already gonna get a great inheritance from the king is now gonna get more because of these we read in the scriptures in the other parts of this series that people are going to be standing before the bema seed and although the blood of messiah is going to spare them everything's going to get burnt up essentially they're going to lose their inheritance for for to everyone who possesses more shall be given and he shall have overflowing but from him who does not possess even what he possesses shall be taken away and throw the worthless servant out into the outer darkness and there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth while directly linked to the wedding feast your inheritance was not just a king a messiah who's a groom and all that he possesses so just quickly on this as well but this idea of the master being someone who who gathers uh where he has not sown reaping where he's not stoning gathering where he is not scattered this implies that someone is doing something while the master is away and this wicked servant's not doing it i mean think of the analogies in the prophets that elohim will scatter the seed of the house of israel in all the nations and i mean just last week we saw how there's going to be a group of people that make it in the kingdom that repent last minute who was who was the witness to them who was the witness i hope people are kind of linking that to together you know that elohim's got boots on the ground as well and that's his servants no and if they're afraid especially in the days ahead what kind of a witness will we be matthew 5 14 16. remember we're going through this from meet and do season we're approaching the fulfillment of the fall appointed times modem and there's warnings here on the behavior of faithful and wicked servants some of you right now might be going oh no that's me that's me hold on don't sit in the seat of messiah over your own life either this is not based on what you perceive to be talents what you perceive to be um these these uh measures it's how what he perceives in what you've been given the standard of being a faithful servant is not that you would be one that would teach at river shabbat it could be the literal witness of your life just with your family to the measure you've been given and we're going to start to look at these sorts of things in the faithful servant so that it may give you a lot of hope and a lot of joy because if everybody thinks that they have to be here teaching on river shabbat in order to be included as the faithful servant that is a destructive lie and it is not true we are not elevated above anyone and the measures he's more than able to judge righteously we are servants and we will all be judged as servants to according to our measures paul would say or according to our talents the things we were given if anything michael and i have in store for us a lot more and a lot harsher lashes potentially so you know we we just need to understand this because there has been a system that has elevated a nicolaitan versus a servant discipleship model which is the model of our messiah okay matthew 5 14 16 you are the light of the world a city set on a hill cannot be hidden so if we are as witness whatever our measure is ten talents five talents one time we're a light of the world you'll decide what that is and what was given to us nor do people light a lamp and then put it under a basket which is apparently what wicked servants do they're going to hide this in fear look at this but on a stand and gives its light to all in the house in the same way let your light shine before others this doesn't really have a lot of that survivalist mentality wording in it does it this is interesting well i went out and hid i hid it in the ground for three and a half years during the great tribulation see father i didn't lose my faith i didn't die i beat that wily adversary in the great tribulation not sure this is a great position in the same way let your light shine before others so that they may see your works and give glory to your father who is in heaven not us but they will actually see messiah now in a time of great need potentially a great time of harvest for us now to boldly proclaim and be a witness of the gospel and to not apologize for our faith even if it's gonna cost us from a worldly sense a flesh sense i want to read to you here out of genesis in 25 29 30. jacob and esau incredible thing you know and jacob's hanging on and he saw never being born but there's an interesting thing here that i think a lot of people miss that relates to internal inheritance and all of this once when jacob was cooking stew um esau came in from the field and he was exhausted now you would know that esau was known for being a mighty hunter he was good at what we would call self-survival skills okay he could he could uh you know look after himself in a lot of ways esau said to jacob let me eat of some of that red stew for i'm exhausted now it's interesting there uh michael you make a good point on the red stew we'll just throw that in while i'm reading this um red in hebrew adam or edom it's very closely related to the word earth ground so esau is wanting to consume that which is of the earth right what are we focusing on spiritual or earthly so esau is in the flesh essentially is a picture that i believe um that we're seeing here in barashi in genesis we're seeing the picture of the flesh at work here these two brothers although esau may be in the flesh i don't believe jacob was i believe jacob knew that the inheritance was much greater than the physical and i believe that there's illusions to this and and certainly what their understanding would have been by this time certainly well after all the things that had transpired up to this point you know as a hebrew in the house of israel people so did he have an eternal perspective i believe he did jakob so much so is going you're just living in the flesh here buddy you want to be in survivalist land okay um sell me a birthright i wouldn't mind that extra talent see he's making no apologies if you're gonna throw it away i'll take yours thank you very much and we're seeing this captured within a parable i believe that we just went through in the brit huddershaw in the new testament jacob's going fine then you mean in fact so much so that he's going to get to a point where his father is going to transfer this blessing we all know that the story won't get into that but esau's reaction if you don't know that he's in the flesh i believe out of his own mouth i am about to die of what use is my birthright to me if he had any eternal perspective that would never have came out of his mouth it is only a flesh statement it matters not beyond my own life my better life now theology so we're seeing something very interesting capturing here i also believe there's an illusion into the mark of the beast and a shadow picture that's that's going on here which the wicked and faithful servants are going to face now look at this in numbers 24 17 there's a very very very interesting part in the scripture here that i believe is often missed look at this i see him but now i behold him so in the torah there's this understanding a difference of something right they're acknowledging something at a higher level now look at this but not in um but not near look at this a star shall come out of jacob and we know who the star is the bright and morning star this is yeshua a messiah shall come out of jacob oh but look at this and a scepter shall rise out of israel often missed in this incredible scripture a messiah and a bride shall come forth something's chosen from the house of israel and if you've like i say looked at the teachings of rod of elohim under the rod elohim in blue the linkage to the understanding of the scepter of yeshua is staggeringly stunning in both the hebrew and the greek and in its parables and in its context to an ancient hebrew marriage covenant it is undeniable if you have eyes to seeing ears to hear and you look they knew something something's going on and so the question is do the wicked servants form part of the flame that the ruach could light you sitting there on that seven can you know seven branch stand manure image i've got there the ones who overcome and have oil will be lit by the ruach it's clear laid out in the revelation of yeshua it begins with the letters to the seven caholl for which this represents and is this incredible thing that was instructed to be put in to both the tabernacle and solomon's temple was it always representing something that was yeshua's go and review the teachings again at this point it's going to start to make sense we're just working through our modern western eyes but once you get out of that and you just start to look at what you're reading it's incredible okay the parable of the unforgiving servant so we're going to go into matthew 18 to 20-35 get your bibles out and michael will get you to read us through this one eh yes matthew 18. um [Music] in fact verse 21 then kefir then peter came to him and said master how often shall my brother sin against me and i forgive him up to seven times yeshua said to him i do not say to you up to seven times but up to 70 times seven because of this the reign of the heavens is like a certain man a sovereign who wanted to settle accounts with his servants and when he had begun to settle one was brought to him who owed him 10 000 talents now before we read i just want to give you a quick perspective on 10 000 talents i won't go into the math but one talent was the equivalent of 46 years wages if you'd normally earn one silver piece a day for your labor now one talent was the equivalent of that for 46 years this chap owes 10 000 times that so 46 460 000 years worth of money the point yeshua is making is unpayable you would have to live like thousands of lifetimes this is um what's the word curtis when you make it so extravagantly big um well um i don't know but it's it's uh it's he's making a point well the analogy is hyperbole hyperbolic it's undoable it's fascinating in this the way this is being stated too because it's you're not just a bond servant you're a bond servant for the your whole life from the point that you come into that house you're we're a bond servant to messiah they can be that's it you don't just come in here for a few years and then get out in other words when you come into the house of messiah that's it we're under him and the point that yeshua is making is that this servant has a debt that he cannot pay he just cannot pay this debt like it's such a huge debt but as he was unable to pay his master commanded that he be sold with his wife and children and all that he had and payment to be made and again when you understand the large summer figure even that would have been impossible then the servant fell down before him saying master have patience with me and i shall pay you all and again that's impossible because of the huge sub and the master of that servant was moved with compassion released him and forgave him the debt and that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred silver pieces a hundred days wages compared to 460 000 years wishes and he laid hands on him and shook him by the throat and saying pay me what you owe then his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him saying have patience with me and i shall pay you all but he would not and went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt ironically you can't pay the debt while you're in prison you can't work it off and when his fellow servants saw what had been done they were deeply grieved and came and reported to their master all that had taken place then that his master called him and said to him wicked servant i forgave you all that debt seeing you begged me should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant as i also had compassion on you and his master was wrath and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him so also my father of the heavens shall do to each of you from his heart or shall do to you if each of you from his heart does not forgive his brother's trespasses now this is clearly speak look all of us have been forgiven something we've been there's a blood that covers us we have a debt that we cannot pay only he can pay that debt and as we were saying earlier this wicked servant has this um character trait of elevating himself above the others so despite the fact that he had a debt forgiven that he couldn't pay he can't show the same thing unto others he's elevated himself like he's somehow more important and what unfortunately he's actually elevating himself above the master by doing this and he's making mockery of the master but what's really interesting in verse 35 is that again yeshua is pointing to this heart judgment because he says so also my father of the heaven shall do to you if each of you from his heart does not forgive his brother's trespasses i mean you can make it look all good you can make it look all religious but is it actually from the heart do you love your brother do you show mercy do you show compassion because all of us have experienced i think at some point what it's like to have the judge the the nicolaitan model pointing the religious finger at you and going how dare you you filthy sinner that's what it does it becomes the accuser of the brethren and now you have sister pitted against sister brother against brother you know sitting there acting self-righteously or whatever it is or in whatever justification you want to give to this behavior and yet if this is truly a servant of of elohim this is a very dangerous position before the judge because he's saying you know i've i gave you forgiveness on your 460 000 years worth and you can't even do 100 days with your brother and sister now this is a very interesting position because when we're truly wronged or we're perceived that we were wrong we can either react in the flesh and go to that place where we'll entertain spiritual darkness or we can go to yeshua and allow that place where our heart can experience circumcision because it is very very very difficult sometimes especially when we've been truly wronged yet the requirement for the faithful servant is to go to that place and it's the wicked servant that never gets there are these matters of unforgiveness and forgiveness you better believe it at a very serious level and which characteristic does the wicked servant take on i want my vengeance i want my just for you i want this is the place that they will enter into again the body's full of it one of the worrying everywhere as a result one of the worrying trends i see in the messianic hebrew roots movement is almost this forgetting that they've been forgiven that they were bought at a price therefore they judged their brother and it's like whoa whoa whoa just stop that because when you understand this parable you see where it goes and it's not a good place no okay in the parable the ten virgins here so again yeshua is speaking in these parables and he's giving a marriage covenant language many of you familiar with these passages but do you know gain its eyes to see ears to hear and that's a journey for all of us um when we are actually turning to him and trying to evaluate you know what our king was saying two thousand years ago uh in these parables then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom so his kingdom is gonna be like an ancient hebrew wedding feast he's telling you same weird doctrine that curtis and michael are making up this is the language that they're actually speaking ya said it i believe it so i don't get to change how he was telling us to look at these things five of them were foolish wicked five were wise look at this for when the foolish took their lamps they took no oil with them they're too busy burying us in the earth they're too busy attacking their brethren too busy living in unforgiveness too busy being self-righteous or or spiritually superior or whatever else it is you're not going to get oil without crushing and repentance you can't actually shortchange this process if we're not in repentance and according to scripture most of us will require crushing to get there to actually be in a place of teshuva except very very good donkeys they can do it and i'm you know in a much smarter way like yeshua modeled or we can fall into the hands of an elohim which is a fearful thing and he can deal with us you know uh i happen to know both sides of the equation i just mentioned and i desperately want to stay in a place of discipleship versus crushing but if i'm called elohim will do what he has to but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps and as the bridegroom was delayed they all came drowsy that became drowsy and slept so all are becoming drowsy sleepy it's like huh when are these moabing gonna start you know i guess uh i guess that's a fair position for a lot of us depending on where we're around the world right now you know we're longing for the appearing of messiah you know if we're you know in a healthy place but at midnight there was a cry and often again if you know the ancient hebrew wedding they often the the uh the groom would come and he would be accompanied uh you know and they would blow the shofars and he'd have a lamp and it would often be after midnight here's the bridegroom so we've got the shofar the cry and here's the bridegroom he's come come out to meet him come up here as if it was for a while it's a really interesting thing this game these illusions these understandings of yom teruah then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamp interesting all those version rose you mean the live in messiah and the dead in the messiah okay so everybody's going up to a bema seat here we go and we're going to meet him in the air but the wise answer is saying since there will not be enough oil for us for you to go go to your dealers and buy for yourself in other words i can't sell you what i don't have to sell and potentially what i never purchased this is interesting they think they can buy this stuff for this moment and while they were going to buy the bridegroom came so we're approaching this incredible event of yom churro where there's going to be a raising of those dead and alive in messiah and as this approaches they're now trying to get it but didn't live in a place of teshuva didn't walk in discipleship didn't want to do it his way and all of a sudden now how can they do this and what are they going to do now they're going to run to the false prophets and teachers they're going to run to nicoletism to try and get this at the last minute because they know the time's running out and while they were going to bar the bridegroom came and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage face and the door was shut so it doesn't say that these unwise versions are unsaved it doesn't say they're not even his friend there is an inheritance reality here and we have a separation of the faithful and the wicked servant occurring michael ezekiel 34 1-16 everybody's got their scriptures open up to ezekiel 34 116. oh michael sorry i muted my own microphone i'll start again i've got to verse 2. and the word of yah came to me saying son of man prophesy against the shepherds of israel and prophesy and say to them thus said the master yard to the shepherds woe to the shepherds of israel who have been feeding themselves should not the shepherds feed the flock now we would we just covered the um the unfaithful servants the one who start to go my master is delaying and they start beating the other servants and eating and getting drunk notices the shepherds of israel of the house of israel so again these are within the believing body you eat the fat and you put on the wool you slaughter the fatlings you do not feed the flock i.e they're taking the best for themselves they're skimming off the top and not giving unto others you have not strengthened the weak you have not healed the sick nor bound up the broken nor brought back the straying nor sought what was lost but you have ruled with might and harshness and they were scattered because there was no shepherd and they became food for all the beasts of the field where they were scattered now what's interesting is that the result of this is that my sheep wandered through all the mountains and on every high hill now when you ended what was on top of the high hills in the high places you had pagan worship going on there so the result of these shepherds people that should have been tending the flock because they were feeding themselves and ruling with uh might invigor i.e nicola nicolaitism the result of that is that the people end up in some kind of idolatry they end up in this kind of mixture they entertain mystery babylon they entertain this stuff that's not of him they were scattered on every high hill and my sheep were scattered over all the face of the earth and no one was seeking or searching them for them therefore you shepherds hear the word of yah as i live declares the master yeah because my flock became a prey and my flock became food for every beast of the field from not having a shepherd and my shepherds did not search for my flock but the shepherds fed themselves and did not heed my flock therefore a shepherds hear the word of yah verse said the master yah see i am against the shepherds and shall require my flock at their hand and shall make them cease feeding the sheep and the shepherds shall feed themselves no more and i shall deliver my flock from their mouths and they shall no longer be food for them earlier on we were talking about the the wicked servant hiding his light under the bush uh under the the basket and the wicked servant saying master i know you reap where you don't sow and you you you the point that i want to make is these shepherds is it because of what they didn't do that we actually have people that missed the yom teruah and that's been required at their hand for thus said the master yah see i myself shall search out for my sheep and seek them out as a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep so i shall seek my sheep and deliver them from all the places they were scattered in a day of cloud dense cloud again i believe pointing to the former redeem and i shall bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the lands and i shall bring them to their own land and i shall feed them on the mountains of israel in the valleys and in the dwellings of the land in good pasture i shall feed them and therefore shall be on the high mountains of israel they shall lie there in a good fold and feeding the rich pasture on the mountains of israel and i shall feed my flock and make them lie down declares the master yah and i shall seek out the lost and bring back the strait and i shall bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick but the fat and the strong i shall destroy i shall feed them with right ruling now that's not happened yet just so everyone knows so we see you know in the sense of him taking uh you know that millennial or that thousand-year reign position what is interesting is the behavior of the shepherds that are supposed to be serving the master thus the shepherd that there is a requirement for shepherding not lording over people but there is a requirement for shepherding and one of them this is why yeshua said peter okay you're being honest with your situation and of intimacy with me you know peter do you love me but he answers instead of going there i know where you're gonna get to peter but here's my instruction feed my sheep i'm not asking you to be perfect i'm not even asking you right now peter to be in the intimate place i know you're going to finish him just because right now i need you to do your shepherding role because they're ultimately mine but it's making quite the distinction between the shepherd who has shepherds and all these people running around going i hear from the ruach and i live a life under myself and sit on islands unto themselves i'm sorry you do not have scripture to back you yes the ruach is for you but it is not for you to be an island unto yourself much as i would say to the nicolaitan systems yes you are to shepherd but you are not to do it the way you are doing our job is to serve and to feed not to lord not to elevate so we need to get back in that model michael there's a really interesting connection in the wicked servant with jonah uh we'll read it and i'll expound a bit of it on it um but it displeased jonah exceedingly and he was angry so this is after yah forgives nineveh we know the story of jonah uh yah forgives nineveh and apparently jonah is pretty ticked off about it and he prayed to yah and said oh yeah is it not this what i said when i was yet in my country that that is why i made haste to flee to tarshish for i knew you are a gracious elohim and merciful slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and relenting from disaster therefore now oh yeah please take my life from me for it is better for me to die than to live and yah said do you do well to be angry you have to understand that jonah was from the house of israel and the ninevites from assyria those were like mortal enemies these would go on to take the northern kingdom into captivity so obviously jonah wasn't too happy about yah forgiving these foreigners those of the nations those that jonah had already condemned in his heart and he was actually annoyed that elohim would go on to forgive them it did so much so he was like ah just kill me now just kill me now he's in the flesh all over the place here you know he really is it's just like you know you don't sew here i don't see the seed these people are here this is what he's doing right now we know that he's going to finish in a much better place but you know jonah's going into the flesh i'd rather die i don't want to do that where he's gone interesting though jonah did what was asked of it but how did he go about it look he's having a little meltdown now can you imagine on judgement day well i did what you told me to but ah how well do you think that's gonna go down and elohim is trying to show him like look dude you're being a hypocrite you've been a hypocrite you've elevated yourself and when you read the context he jonah was more annoyed about the plant dying above him than all these people possibly dying and you know i it's just the modern expression of this in our faith is people are more concerned about the length of their zizzi's and the pronunciation of the father's name over the welfare of the body and their brethren as long as i'm okay screw everybody else i mean this is really like i'm painting a broad brush stroke here so but the point i wanted to bring out in this is that jonah actually ticked the box he went and said go and repent it's also the shortest sermon you read in scripture repent or destruction is coming but it would it wasn't done in a way that was pleasing his heart was not in it and this is what i wanted to bring out you know could you even tick the box and still not be pleasing well i can sure relate to jonah michael i've been there i'm sure i'll be there again and hopefully when i'm there i can have brethren and the ruach in his word get me back into teshiva while i'm dealing with my heart being exposed you know we're a work in progress all of us and his blood allows us to be a work in progress but let's not forget that it's a work in progress it doesn't matter where we're serving at what point and what talents and everything else everybody is a work in progress and so this is a very important thing to for us to understand from a uh from both the wicked servant and faithful servant position because there's lots of exciting things and neat things that go on um when we look at the faithful servant we're going to uh finish up here at these last bits and i just want to raise the molten sea and the tabernacle um the brazen laver you know which was a major part of that play part in the shadow pictures these symbolisms and thus teaching the kingdom from heaven and this was given in the tabernacle and then ultimately in solomon's temple um yeah said to moshe you shall also make a basin of bronze with its stand of bronze so it's feet of bronze for washing you shall put it between the tent of meeting and the altar and you shall put water in it so there's something this it's being stood upon it's a certain stand they even fashioned this um actually with the 12 tribes of israel represented in bulls three on each corner of this brazen altar that it would sit in this thing would have a stand in the middle of those 12 bulls representing the 12 tribes of israel and water's supposed to be put into this just think living water with which aaron and his son shall wash their hands and feet remember what yeshua was doing from a servant to position okay all right this is really interesting when you go into the tent of meeting or when they come near the altar to minister to burn a food offering to yah they shall wash with water so that they may not die the mikvah of the living water the physical mikvah is a shadow picture of the actual mikvah and we're seeing this all being originally presented in the torah look at this they shall wash their hands and their feet so they may not die it shall be a statute forever to them even to them and to his offspring throughout their generation so not just to the end of the age now it's going to go through their offspring and right through the whole planet redemption well how do you do that if you don't have a temple anymore so if if we haven't become the temple that's not possible yet assuredly it has because if it was all pointing to yeshua we've got a way through to the end of the generations i want to point out to you something descriptions you'll find more of this in first kings and second chronicles there's an incredible shadow picture given right up front in chapter one of the revelation of yeshua so in one 14 to 16 it's very interesting the hairs of his head were white like wool snow so john on the island of patmos is experiencing these visions it's very interesting his eyes were like flame of fire looking into the heart the living sacrifice you're going to get all sorts of typologies going here but look at this his feet were like burnished bronze the stand on this thing was burnt bronze i'm going to suggest to you that the lava itself is a shadow picture of yeshua and the 12 tribes working together before they approach the father this incredible things that were laid out in the tabernacle and then in the temple all pointing to yeshua and his plan of redemption refined in a furnace and his voice was like the roar of many waters in his right hand he held the seven stars later in the book of revelation the seven stars are his seven kahol the actual house of israel from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword his face was like the sun shining in full strength these are the descriptions that we are given from the visions of john mccordron in persecution on the island of patmos i believe it is directly pointing to the revelation of the lava given all the way back at the tabernacle in the wilderness it all points to yeshua in every way interesting elements to the lab a large vessel brass holding water was to be set near the door of the tabernacle aaron and sons had to wash their hands and feet at the summer every time they went in to minister this was to teach the purity in all their services and dread and the pollution of sin and so on missing the mark and all the things that they were being taught they must not only wash and be made clean when first uh when first made priests but they must wash and keep and kept clean whenever they were to minister so in other words it's a this whole process was you're gonna need to do this and who do we have to be washed in the living water is the messiah the blood of messiah this is the whole point of where it's going to go to this whole living water and then into the sacrifice it teaches us daily to turn towards you in his ways to be in a state of repentance a shadow picture of messiah i've got sort of one of the ancient depictions of the actual lava itself and you'll sort of see the you're representing the 12 tribes and in the center of that's the actual stand um in the labyrinth what is interesting the scientific thing i just love these little side notes but if you're familiar with pi it's sort of the the constant um mathematical constants to find this is the ratio of the circle circumference versus its diameter there's a perfect equation as a result of this it appears in many of the formulas in all areas of mathematics and physics life is we're able to understand it um and it equals 3.14159 okay so we take it generally to those fifth decimal place this is interesting the descriptions given in scriptures of the ten cubit measurements described in the bible spans from the inside of the lavier now this is a perfect measurement interestingly how they knew pie but they knew pie to so accurately because if you knew the hand breadth and what it equal and the thickness of the of the brass of the actual diameter of this lava the balance of the ratio equated to pi not only very neatly but to 24 decimal points incredible absolutely incredible so what they're constructing is an incredible thing that is pointing to elect a detail or a depth that i go goes far beyond even just our general relationship to the mathematical equation of pi i just find those things quite fascinating that even the way it's constructed is just so precise um the need to examine ourselves and and this whole thing about going up and and washing ourselves okay the word examine means to test something for its purpose of approval the servant okay so it's testing us are we the wicked servant are we the faithful servant we're going through this thing the idea to test something to find out whether it's genuine or not are faith genuine or not the work done on us isn't genuine or not you can say all you want i forgive you brother sister i have no offense i let all the words come out of your mouth but guess who gets to see your heart we can deceive ourselves we're not getting anywhere to true forgiveness especially with the brethren unless there is a work done at the heart and if you're only discerning the mouth oh and the hearts to see just deceitfully wicked is a very interesting thing the present tense is to examine means that we are to keep testing ourselves constantly this is an incredible thing where discipleship will start to come in why he patterned what he did because it's constantly putting us in this place of refinement getting it wrong getting it right saying it wrong saying it right we're gonna face walking this but we're to do it in a loving forgiving environment that it may actually be a part of the heart circumcision his word the living the word becoming living his ruach and the body together being diligent in testing ourselves it was a major major part of exposing ourselves looking into the brazilian lavier do you know this actually was used as a mirror they used to have mini versions of this when they got thrown out of egypt they would they had learned to make a mirror using a polish brass um bowl and they put the water in it and that allowed them to see their own reflection so when they're going to wash at this later think about what she was setting up here you're going to see what you look like so you're going gonna look into the mirror you know essentially so if you were to see this thing constructed if you had been at the tabernacle the time in the wilderness you would have been essentially walking up to something as you were instructed to wash yourself you would have seen your own reflection that's the way we think of as a modern mirror um okay so when we expose ourselves to the objective word um we can truly see ourselves for what we really are so if we're not gonna twist the word now if we're not gonna do wicked servant stuff add tradition do all these sorts of things we're gonna start to see what we really are the word is impartial and will not allow us to deceive ourselves only our pride in levin will attempt to twist it we will do this and this is the warning we'll want to shape it so that we don't deal with these things inside us the best way to be objective about ourselves is to examine our lives in light of his word and he's given us an environment to do that and if you're just doing it on your own and you're not going to walk with others and you're going to claim you're the source of all truth and righteousness and i hear from the ruach it's possible that we might not see ourselves for what we are and so we need the help of our uh our brethren as we examine ourselves to the word and of course most importantly is ruach it is very easy to delude ourselves into thinking we are caught above others spiritually if you start walking in a more accountable discipleship environment you will start to lose that delusion or you will run away you only got two options spend enough time walking closely with brethren and that delusion will quickly fade um or you'll run from it and point the finger and do what the wicked servant does honest self-judgment and discernment lets us see ourselves for what we truly are discipleship so you're going to go through this process that's why he did it comparing ourselves with others is not the standard this is what the wicked servant does the issue is ourselves when compared to the word of yah and we fall short all of us viewing others as lower than ourselves spiritually does not make us superior before our king so if if you want to put yourself up above someone spiritually which i've seen happen on both sides of this river as much as each other wow if i take any extremes this is not our excuse for spiritual superiority it's a delusion is what it is you can live in discipleship or you can live in delusion take your pick it is good for us to lift ourselves up uh it's not good for us to lift ourselves up by disparaging others if you're making yourself feel good at the expense of others okay you you won't last in a discipleship environment you just won't do that and that's why we want to be in it so that we stop doing this the failure of others shouldn't give us no ground ever for personal glory this is delusion just criticizing others will and is no basis to build an honest life before elohim it's delusion it is valid to rejoice in what ya has done through us but it but the true ground of our servitude is strictly that which yah does through us and we're going to see this at the bema seat of the judgment seat of messiah so the completed shema the mir in jacob 1 22 25 but the doers of the word and not hearers only but be doers of the word not hearers only deceiving yourself for if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer he's like a man who looks look at this intently at his natural face in the mirror so now he's gone to the brazen lavier and instead of seeing what he looks like he's now entertaining it it's um by the way this can actually be an extreme form of narcissism in modern society you actually can only see how great you are you know and all that sort of thing for he looks at himself and goes away and once forgets what he looks like so he's just gone away so i'm not gonna i'm not gonna look at the lavier i'm gonna look at my delusion the one who looks into the perfect law the law of liberty and preserves being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts he will be blessed in his doing now this is directly now pointing to what the faithful servant does it understands now all of it the role of the ruach the blood of messiah the understanding of the father in his ways it's going to start to actually now understand its perfection but also its ability for us to now walk in it and its liberty not not the law of liberty and then make it up this kind of stuff happens certainly on the christian side um sadly the wicked servant versus the faithful servant the one who is faithful and very little is also faithful and much and the one who is wicked and very little is also wicked and much we can have one talent and we can still achieve this and by the way everything we're doing in servitude is all the little right now to what's coming the age that's coming this is all the little and i don't care how big somebody thinks their ministry is or what you think all the work you've done in your life is or you know in our own lives whatever it's all considered the little this is the test in the time domain and we don't judge what is not little and not little he says it's all little it's just whether you're doing it from a faithful or a wicked position pistas the adverb assured you know as i was to you you were to me there's going to be an interesting play here michael we'll finish up here so in um titus you get this really good contrast between the faithful and the wicked servant show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works and in your teaching show integrity dignity and sound speech that cannot be condemned so that an opponent may be put to shame having nothing evil to say about us i love this integrity just such a key part bond surface and notice you're gonna have opponents yeah from within the body believers yeah yeah bond servants are to be submissive to their own masters in everything not some things in everything they are to be well pleasing not argumentative a lot of the bodies missed that memory not pilfering now or stealing the greek there has this idea of embezzling so you're not outright thieving but you're actually skimming off the top so you're taking a bit and so again what was the wicked servant doing he was eating he was getting drunk beating the other servants we're not to do this but showing all good faith so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of elohim our savior the the word therefore good faith again is pistos in greek is the equivalent of the hebrew immune faith that we're actually to show good faith and when you truly understand what faith is that it's this loyalty is this reliability this um fidelity all these things this trust because that's what we're called to be reliable trustworthy uh loyal for fidelity it's actually got marriage illusions in there this is what we're to be yeah okay let's finish here we're gonna head for the faithful servant next week we're gonna look at the things that we should be heading towards and maturing too and um and some incredible things there that i think is going to bring many of you joy and this is indeed the aim of all of branch river shabbat the service that any of us do either for each other the people around you the witness the people the lives around you at whatever measure or talent that we're called to do we need to understand he's not he our our elohim and our our king our master our groom our savior he is not a respecter of men and we're going to look at something very interesting in the faithful serum and i hope it's going to bring you great joy and it really excites you as to if we start to do this the other way just exactly why you've been inserted in the time domain at such an incredible time and be excited about it because he didn't get you wrong just remember that he didn't insert you at the wrong time and he didn't choose the wrong ones so this is just going to come down to um you know how we view our servitude now as a bond servant to the master not to religions denominations or a man all these kinds of things what is our bond servitude now to the master and why how did those servants go about doing things that would allow them to know which way so let's finish here matthew 25 23 as we head for the good uh for the faithful servant his master said to him and may we all hear these words everyone this is the goal okay and we're heading for the this next week we're going to help each other finish this race well done good and faithful servant you have been faithful over little again this is all the little i will set you over much welcome to the age to come enter in to the joy of your master and it's a beautiful thing so let's let's finish there and we'll take a quick break and we
