hey guys so last we left off we had sent those chapters out to be anodized and we're going to be waiting on those for like two weeks like you said there's still plenty of parts that have to be manufactured like buttons glass break screws and things like that and we're here with John he's going to show you how we manufacture the infamous X button hey guys so we start with bars a 303 stainless and fix to these up go from run about 5 hours at the end of those 5 hours we'll get a half completed button as you can see it's just run on the top side once we get these we're gonna place it back in a fixture face down we're gonna machine the back that'll run about five hours as well after that we'll have a completed X button there you go I got I appreciate you my friend yeah so behind me here we still got to make the screws we've got to make the glass breaks and this is all the raw material that will go into the Swiss machines to be able to make those so we've got different sizes for different pivots screws glass breaks things like that but we'll take these we'll load them up into the machine and we'll take a look and see what those look like alright so those rods those are 12th Imam those get loaded up into these bar fingers these Arab thinking bar feeders that's actually what these these I'm here with Davi he's one a programmer at operators Dave how long ago a micro tech about three years I'm three years running anything ultra taking this room yes they're running the screws right here all right how long does it take to make one screw 47 seconds Oh awesome 47 seconds so once it makes that and it pops it out basically you have a whole tray of my guests sure sure what we have here is we have a whole bin of parts they come out they fit out into the drawer we're doesn't mean here no then we take them out we check them one at a time we don't check every part but every hour - yep make sure to transfer dude absolutely so from here what happens to those screws then they go to processing they go get cleaned and tumbled then they get any treated a plastic okay so they all get plastic finish on there it's gonna be like black hardware those are gonna get sent off the dlc absolutely how do you keep track I'm in screws you guys making a week well we roughly make 1,600 a day so I'm wearing the ballpark of 10,000 a week cool deal thanks for Sony said baby I appreciate it thank you all right guys so those same citizens Swiss leis make the class breakers for the ultratex as well so Greg here is I've been with micro tech for how long now about a year year and a half year and a half or so okay so what Greg is gonna do is he's going to show us how the tungsten ball gets pressed into glass bracket that's on the back of the ultratex so we'll zoom in and we'll so this is the glass break this one is a DLC and it goes to the ultra tech you just press it in this it's this little picture here you just lay it in there and you get your ball put it right on top our bure press does the rest of the work thanks for that Greg so a lot of people I had a question they thought it rolled like a ballpoint pen does those do not roll now even it might feel like it those are set in its a friction fit so yeah it's not going anywhere all right Oh Greg I do appreciate it sir no problem all right guys hope you enjoyed episode 3 of birth of an ultra tech join us next week we're gonna be looking at sliders blaze and a lot more internals that go along in our process yeah there's a whole lot more parts we've barely gotten started guys if you haven't checked out the micro tech knife YouTube channel go check it out like share and subscribe have a great week [Music]
