[Music] hey guys ray and Jason with micro tech nods and what we're gonna do is we're gonna do a video series over the next couple weeks on the birth of a null today how we take parts that look like this and turn them in to knives that look like this I think it'll be a great series Jason because what we're going to do is take you guys behind the scenes and show you the people and the faces and everyone that's involved in the process along the way I think it'll be a great series yep like I said one of the biggest things to me is putting the face with the people that are behind doing these processes you know behind the scenes and actually showing them how complicated and how long some of these things actually take it's not as easy something so that's right so stay tuned we'll go hit the machines first all right guys all these crates have a bar stop piece of six zero six one t6 aluminum and basically this is the material we use for most of our production model chassés so we're going to take this over to the machines and see what happens from there we have Alan here Alan that has been with micro tech for a little over two years now right and what he does is he's one of the operators that basically takes that bar of aluminum that you saw and starts running the ultra tech chassis so I don't want you to tell us what's going on here all right this system we do operations with first off second operation okay this is what that bar looks like good stuff okay awesome so basically you're gonna go ahead and unload one all right if you can go ahead and do that and then we can take a look and see what it looks like so guys what are you doing is and how long does that first stop take how many hours okay so five hour is just a machine one side so guys keep in mind how much time this is actually taking now yes there are multiple machines that are running these parts but five hours just for this first operation and Alan's so this is what we did with that bar basically there's the back side of it and then there is what you guys can see is an ultra tech bottle but this has to get refix you're back in the machine and then runs for another three hours just to do the back side now remember this is not the top side this is just the bottom side of a chassis it's also - we've already got eight hours in this and we haven't even done anything yet really other than machine all the pockets and chassis that you guys have seen before well Alan thanks for your time appreciate it oh good that okay guys so behind me let's have the CNC machine running in real time once he saw the bar stopped getting loaded into the tombstones and now it's actually going through the process and that first stop that we showed you earlier you actually can't see what's going on on the inside just because of coolant splashing up on the glass so after they come off the machine what you're gonna have are the two halves just like this so that is the birth of the ultra tech chassis however these right now are actually too sharp to be able to do anything with so what we have to do is take these over to an area where they're going to deburr and by deburring they're literally gonna take tools and they're gonna dbar all the sharp edges before they throw these into the tumblers to kind of soften everything up but that's it in the roll straight off the machines you have to remember eight hours just for that part not including the top part so once this gets processed now you have two halves that make the ultra tech chassis thank you for joining us once again be sure to tune in next week on the next processes on the breath of an ultra tech absolutely stick around
