The unspoken masterpiece of this song is that it can be broken apart and still feel whole. The Orchestra alone, the Band alone and the acoustic renditions of this song are all masterpieces in there own right. A version for everyone. Enjoyment for everyone. Absolute classic.
It's nice acoustic and all, but when he's talking about it being a historical marker, I think it's more the fact that it was a rock song with an orchestra that made it truly memorable. Nothing quite holds up to the album version. Plus there's the music video that just seals the deal. Truly iconic. Captured lightning in a bottle.
“I would not do this for anybody.”
“I would not do this for anybody” Noice. He’d like people to beg for Anaise! and Solara. Not gonna happen.
This is absolutely beautiful acoustic as it is on the album 🖤
