I've lost some faith in humanity listening to Ken Ham speak.
Have to applaud Bill Nye for trying but... honestly cannot listen to Ham speak for more than 30 sec without feeling existentially threatened by him and his ilk. It's like they want to pull the whole of humanity backward because they are afraid of empirical truth not supporting a world view in which they are the keepers of all knowledge, the chosen few and special.
At the Ark Encounter βmuseumβ they literally have a cage on this βarkβ with baby dinosaurs as if they were on the ark with Noah and his family. To teach this to children that humans once lived among dinosaurs let alone coexist on a boat during a worldwide flood event is just irresponsible. Children deserve a real education. π¦
I have to be honest. I lean strongly toward the Bill Nye thinking both scientifically (obvious to me) and just logical but I don't think he came across very strong here.
Personally, I would find it exhausting to try to defend what I see as common sense but I don't think the science guy did a great job at all here.
Am I alone in that?
Here are my thoughts, take it for what it's worth:
This was a very informative, if disturbing, video. Thank you for sharing.
I have a lot of respect for Bill Nye. Now, I respect his capacity for patience and restraint even more.
I can't believe I have to share a planet with people of such stunning ignorance. I despise religion.
Can we please stop linking videos of AiG please? I really don't want to watch something that is going to give them money for my watching it.
Christian idiots like Ken Ham deny Global Warming because they believe the Earth is 6000 years old and any evidence for Global warming is thus invalid.
