Bill Burr on Reservoir Dogs

oh no let's go yeah let's go um movie pick I heard a clip with Bill asking for lesser known flicks that may give a shot in the arm for screenplay ideas oh let me get to Chris Penn one of the reasons why I love that guy lines that everybody quotes out of the [ __ ] blue he's just going to decide out of the [ __ ] blue to rip us off you know I'm trying to be a [ __ ] professional you're acting like a first year [ __ ] thief I'm acting like a professional you almost got me killed [ __ ] you almost killed Meo all those ones that everybody knows yeah yeah yeah Bam Bam Bam Bam Bam look if they haven't done what I told them not to do yeah bam bam bam bam bam I told them not to touch the [ __ ] alarm they did if they hadn't done what I told them not to do they'd still be alive let me get to Chris Penn other than that I love his acting he's one of the great storytellers of all time how would you feel if every time you had to take a piss you had to do a [ __ ] hand if you can somehow watch the DVD extras of Reservoir Dogs and him telling the story of um that the old actor on it so oh you like to tell jokes giggling like a bunch of school girls sitting in a ball oh you guys like to tell jokes and giggle and kid around huh giggling like a bunch of young br in the schoolyard now let me tell a joke he here's a joke for you bunch of guys sitting around a bull panded what how we got there five guys sitting at a bullpen St Quenton wondering how the [ __ ] they got there what did we do what should we have done what did we do wrong what should have we done what didn't we do whatever it's your fault my fault his fault all that [ __ ] I used to know that whole thing then they realized realz the whole time we were planting this Caper we were telling jokes that was so you like to tell jokes giggling like a bunch of Lawrence tney or something like that lisis tney we had a funny guy with us in Korea tail Gunner they blew his brains out all over the Pacific there's nothing funny about that whatever Chris Penn tells this amazing story of that guy taking like 12 buses to come over and meet with him before they work on the movie and bringing like luggage to then stay at his house when Chris never said you could stay at my house it was just like just effortless effortless storytelling and he just um what a [ __ ] loss man um it's incredible incredible um anyway like I I always put like um like Chris pen as far as like I always liked actors like that like Tom seore just recently passed away rest his Soul where like I always just felt like they they had like this thing where they they they could they were just so [ __ ] grounded in whatever they were doing um you're saying that Mr blonde was going to kill you and then when we got back he was going to kill us take the Satchel of diamonds and scram I'm right about that right that's correct that's your story your favorite performances by non-stars in movies where you and your friends still quot it it's an unknown [ __ ] actor and you may never even saw him again never even seen the person again I always have to say in the face you know what that's from that's from uh the great performance given by that cop in the bathroom in Reservoir Dogs I don't even know this actor's names let me look this up he was in resir dogs cop buddy actor let's see if I can find the name of this guy uh um I don't know what this [ __ ] guy's name is I got to give him a shout out you know I'm going to hit pause cuz I I want to give this guy a shout out unknown UNH hered unheralded actor um as far as I know Rich Turner in Reservoir Dogs it's one of my favorite [ __ ] just one scene actors I I I don't know I don't watch a ton of movies but I [ __ ] love this guy he plays the cop in the bathroom when uh what's his face Tim Roth is sitt there with all the drugs and he comes out and there's the dog uh dog sniffing uh the drug sniffing dog sniffing drug sniffing dog see he was in pul fiction too meaning also yeah he wasn't in a lot of movies but he plays like the way he he's being the cop and he's telling that story and then this guy's girlfriend this real sexy Oriental [ __ ] you know she starts screaming at him Chuck Chuck what are you do it just the way he like the line I said buddy I'm going to shoot you in the face if you don't put your [ __ ] hands on that dashboard that's just the way it's written and the way he did it he goes I said buddy I am going to shoot you in the face if you don't put your [ __ ] hands on that dashboard just the way he said it and I said buddy I'm going to shoot you in the face if you don't put your hands on the [ __ ] Dash the way he the rhythm of the way he speaks is so like perfect cop I said buddy I am going to shoot you in the face if you don't put your [ __ ] hands in that dashboard so so anyway I got my gun drawn right and I got to point it right at this guy I tell him don't [ __ ] move I don't know why that sounds exactly like a [ __ ] cop to me so that was like something just me and my friends we would be [ __ ] hammered striking out with chicks and you just be walking out to your car and one of you invariably would just go buddy I am going to shoot you in the face and everyone just start laughing you don't put your [ __ ] hands in that dashboard who are your favorites that's one of those movies when you've seen it that many times like all the usual good lines at everybody quotes um everybody knows those lines but then once you want once you get up to like you know 3 400 viewings of it which you really can do in a summer if you [ __ ] put your mind to it and you have no social life like me yeah that's when you start going who the [ __ ] is this guy playing this cop the way he's killing this monologue um I don't know this part right here you don't remember this I even did the sound effects remember that Reservoir Dogs I used to love that goddamn song and I couldn't listen to it for 10 years cuz every time I [ __ ] heard it I just thought about Marvin Nash getting his goddamn ear cut off stop stop stop stop [ __ ] what a what a great piece of acting by both of those guys whoever played Marvin Nash and uh Mr blonde I can never remember people's [ __ ] names uh we'll call him Vince Gilligan I don't know his [ __ ] name how the [ __ ] did I forget his name you know most guys to play a psycho would act like a [ __ ] psycho how they think a psycho is supposed to act you know and just how [ __ ] calm he was you know that's what's really [ __ ] scary somebody cutting your ear off going and act like a [ __ ] Maniac you'd almost start laughing halfway through it like is this guy mocking being crazy but it's the calmness with which he does it hey what's going on you hear [Music] that like if you get it out that person complaining about it is going to watch it it's the same thing it's just like if you're saying why the violence of that guy you're not seeing any of his movies then when he takes it out he'll just be like it was sort of bland not a good effort
