with my grinds right you know I don't somebody was talking about the gullet they said they've never seen the gullet my grind chains before yeah well I think it was just because it wasn't down far enough for you to see it here's here's my ground chain right there see it you can see this see that chunk in the middle that's the gullet and I haven't been taking it out for years and you guys see how my saws cut I just don't take it out I think if you took it all out and threw it on a scale and a little bit of Steel it would probably weigh something yes indeed it would but that is the gullet that that's that's the guy that you usually can just find it out with a round file right there and just do that I tend I listen to what old Bobbie Walker said there one time in Bear Claw those are the guys that I listen to you know race guys guys that have made their their careers and their names and their their their integrity and their whole lives on on on file and chain and race and saws those are the guys I listen to because they know they've tried every freakin thing you could do to a chain and I don't do that I just grind chain that's all I do I'm a faller I don't I'm not racing sauce I just grind chain and hand file chain so that's the gullet and I've been leaving it in and Bobby says if you leave it in it stays straight in the cut and man does that make sense it just it does it make sense then he's a smart bugger so he's a legend that's what he is so I like that I think that's neat so I leave it in and I'm extremely happy with my cuts I used to bear claw I used to told me to file it out and and I would and it was fine there was no no surprises or anything but it was it was good because four hens ground chain cuts so good it does it cuts so good I got stuff in mine hey kid so we're gonna go cut these trees down I guess my axe is down below away buddy no so it's probably down there when I brought down somebody screaming away down there okay friends here's a stock chain brand new it's a brand new steel chain look it's never been filed ever brand new right out of the box here's a here's a raker gauge okay let's see something here well would you look at that look at that friends the breakers were high yeah out of the factory well they're set they're set at I think 25 this thing's that 30 degrees yeah yeah Nick Nick had one there yeah so try this we're cutting cedar so I literally just put my thumb on here friends like this we're in cedar and I just that's it I just put my thumb in front of the tooth and I literally do that that is it just that's it Lois it with the soft setting it's a full house grind but I usually run the hard setting because it's mean and gravity so you don't want you're hungry you don't want your Baker's to hungry on that saw unless you're in cedar and it'll be just fine it'll pull like mad and cut like crazy like this thing was doing but soon as you get into a maple or for anything like that it'll grab it look rapping
