BEYBLADE HISTORY OF BLACK DRANZER

target audience is 13 and up hey guys today we are talking about black dranzer one of the most iconic Beyblades from the plastic generation or baked and shoot Beyblade and today we're going to talk about its history and why it's so iconic in the anime so according to the lore black drumser was created by Rasputin who was a monk on evil who created black drones are using black magic black dranzer has the ability to corrupt its users lust for power and is largely uncontrollable in fact the only recorded Beyblader that is able to control black John's or is in fact Kai this makes him super valuable in is why Boris is so adamant about trying to get him back on the demolition boys team which is the Russian team Kai's first interaction with black dranzer was during a testing event where he was enamored by the power of the Beyblade calling it perfect now at this point Kai was not at the age where he was training at the same level as the other students at this Russian Academy but he still went out of his way to try to steal black dranzer for himself at the time Kai was not able to control black dinosaur and nearly destroyed the Abbey where it was contained it wasn't until years later after Kai had already left the demolition boys that Boris tempted Kai with the power of black John's are offering it to him once again Kai does ultimately accept black dranzer and rejoins the demolition boys and during all of his matches with black dranzer ends up stealing his opponent's bit Beast to add to the power of black dranzer so ultimately this is bad for the Beybladers that are getting their bit be stolen but ultimately it's adding to the power of the Russian team and black dranzer and the whole quest for Russia's domination for power this becomes a problem later on when Kai ends up going against the blade Breakers his previous team and the main characters of the show Tyson does try to confront Kai but it doesn't go that well and Kai ultimately abandons the team as well as his dranzer f this whole situation leaves the blade Breakers the tournament and beyblading as a whole in kind of a precarious spot the blade Breakers do end up challenging Kai again however this leaves them a man short with Max with his mom upgrading his Beyblade and Kenny being essentially useless as always Rey and Tyson do their best to try to fight off Kai and talk some sense into him but Kai is able to harness the power of all of his captured bit beasts this gives him an overwhelming power Advantage as black dranzer gets increasingly more powerful based on the user and Kai is already a really strong Beyblader and he's already blinded by the power of black dranzer to begin with Kai ends up defeating Rey pretty easily and Tyson does his best to also hold him off but unfortunately also loses takai's black dranzer things are looking pretty hopeless for the bleed Breakers but thankfully Max ends up skydiving from an airplane at a pretty opportune time and is able to intervene with his brand new dresseel this puts the blade Breakers back into the fight and while Max isn't able to defeat him on his own Tyson has given the idea to enter the original dranzer into the fight dranzer is enraged being abandoned and is able to fight off black dranzer and together the blade Breakers are able to beat Kai and talk some sense into him and it's only with the power of all four sacred beasts that they're able to ultimately beat Black dranzer this puts Kai in a position where he realizes that for the first time in his life he actually has genuine friends that care about his well-being Kai sets out to make things right and Tyson Returns His original dranzer Kai goes back to Boris with black dranzer and returns it in typical Kai fashion destroying half of the equipment in the room that they're in this leaves Boris pretty pissed off because his plans are now ruined as nobody else is able to control the power of black dranzer Kai rejoins the blade Breakers but is later offered the black dranzer bit chip by his grandfather surprisingly Kai accepts it again but in a Twist of events he doesn't actually end up using it in any of the tournaments afterwards we actually never see black dranzer again in the anime and we're unsure what exactly happened to the bit chip it's very possible that it's still in Kai's possession and he just resists temptation to use it as far as I'm aware in Japan the only release for the black dranzer recolor was the ultimate Stadium set Hasbro did release this as a starter set a couple different times and I never saw them in stories every kid that I knew that was into Beyblade wanted this so bad and it was just insanely hard to find I can't think of any of the other series that showcases basically what is just a recolor of a stock Beyblade in the anime that's so iconic if you ask anybody that grew up on plastic gen what some of their like holy grail Beyblades were as a kid I guarantee you black dranzer is somewhere on that list the drones are beyblades in general for plastic gen I feel like we're really hard to find I rarely ever saw them in stores in general I definitely never saw black drums I'm curious for anybody that grew up with plastic gin if they actually ever encountered one or bought one and while the black dranzer Arc is definitely one of the most memorable especially from the first season it's also actually one of Max's biggest moments in the series well I do like Max quite a bit as a character he doesn't actually have a whole lot of wins in the series and is kind of a passive character in terms of character growth he's already like a really nice guy and there's not a ton of conflict with him until the later series uh like the third season of G Revolution where he ends up leaving the team but ultimately I think uh it was a really cool Arc and black dranzer cemented itself as one of the most iconic uh plastic gen Beyblades and definitely the most iconic I feel like recolors in general if you want to get one of these unfortunately there definitely is an anime tax they tend to run for about a hundred bucks roughly and they're not a whole lot cheaper in Japan either just because of that single release and just for context the regular color of dranzer f goes for about a quarter of the price of black dranzer interestingly the whole black dranzer Arc isn't in the manga so if you didn't know the original manga ran in korokoro which publishes monthly so there's a lot less content being pushed out on a regular basis than like say a weekly Shonen magazine like uh like weekly jump for example and I definitely think in this case it's one of the instances where they've patted out the anime and added an arc that was just so good they did such a great job it didn't feel like filler it felt like a genuinely interesting little sub Arc that they added in if you guys found this video interesting please let me know down in the comments what you thought of it and if you aged pretty well and I definitely think it has the best plot of any of the Beyblade Series so far hopefully X can one-up it but uh so far where it's at right now I still think it's the best the
