Beverly Crawford's Birthday Concert

hello everybody i'm so excited because tonight is a special night today is a special day it's uh someone i've been knowing for a long time been married to for 38 years the mother of my two kids this is todd jr and this is the trina and tonight we come to celebrate that very special woman beverly crawford y'all we started a little late because we had some technical difficulties you all know how that goes uh but we got it fixed hopefully we got all the keeps out so we want to give you a chance to not look at your neighbor but we want to give you a chance to tag your friends so go on your friend page your friend look up your friends and tag them tell them they need to check out beverly crawford the singer's face my face tag it to a watch party for beverly crawford because tonight we're going to celebrate her tonight she's going to do a few of her uh greatest hits she's going to go back and go down memory lane um the first album she did was jesus precious king in 1995 and believe it or not when she did that album t day was in her belly coming up tj tj was in her belly when she recorded the 1995 cd jesus christian king we had swept which had songs like jesus christ king praise jehovah and believe it or not it's teaching it's probably because it's really versatile and then you know just show that she's not just like traditional artists but she got a lot of contemporary stuff on there and different type of stuff just like just like the other albums but that apple just got a special place so what you're saying is your mama can do more than just how yes you're saying yes she got that smooth sound and so with jesus christ king been her first album 1995 and then she in 1998 she released now that i'm here and we're now that i'm here we were able to go to the grammy awards man the grammy award was just it was off the chain uh just being able to go and hang out with some great uh great great people and um down the line she had a couple of uh other albums live in atlanta which had just as soon as my feet strikes dying then she did live in l.a and with the live la albus they gave my daughter to the trina opportunity to show her gifts and her talents and so uh she wrote some songs on that live in los angeles uh with bill butch what was it like to go to l.a and sing and perform with your mother it was fun it was a dream come true that's what i said i always wanted to do so it was fun i was nervous but it was fun and y'all know it's so awesome to have treated him tonight uh yesterday was treated submitted most of you know that trina is a kidney transplant patient and she's been shut up for a few months so the doctor allowed her to come to church yesterday morning and to play the drums play and so here she is tonight my baby come on up here baby my baby here uh one of the songs that she wrote was my hero you're my hero and what's up i need a word um yeah yeah i believe two powerful songs you my hero and i need a word i need a word touched a lot a lot of people because the lyrics were so awesome and so it's you know it's just a pleasure that we're able to come together tonight to celebrate her and with you also to celebrate uh her beverly was born in gainesville florida home of fighting gators and she's from a place called copeland settlement yards just around the outskirts of gainesville copeland settlement and uh her father was bishop walter camps and her mother was nellie made cancer and they had seven children and they had seven children all right the camp family and she started a group called the camp sister and because of the camp sisters bobby jones got a chance to see him on a videotape that was sent to him and we sent that video taping him and bobby jones discovered uh the camp sisters and and then by the kemp sisters going to the bobby jones show uh bobby jones like what he's seen in beverly and invited beverly to become a part of the new life singers and from there a singer new life saying she had opportunity to travel all over the world and because of that opportunity the bible says that your gifts will make room for you you don't have to keep nobody know down you don't have to stab nobody in the back you don't have to be jealous of anybody but your gifts will make room for you and because of that she was able to sign a record deal with warner brothers record and tonight it gives us pleasure and it gives us an honor to introduce trina and tj's mother and to introduce my wife of 38 years none other than the one young some people call her legend but i don't know that legend kind of sounds old [Music] but we're getting ready to have a good time we're getting ready to have foot stomping time and so i hope that you're ready to lift up the name of jesus and give god a great big hand praise for pastor asking for these souls thank god for amen for all y'all in the house everybody in the house and i got a special guest with me amy and sister candace amen thomas she's going to bless us with her song and her soul amen uh in my life and i call it my son her husband amen dave devon and we got some wonderful people that are here sharing one of my kids are here sharing my birthday with me and i thank when she turn 37 then i know i'm 57 okay but you know what i look good thank you man god's been good god's been real good i can't complain and you know what y'all i'm so grateful that i'm still here and i'm still out here and i'm still able to sing still able to give god glory and and and still minister you know and i know we miss each other because i can't come to your church right now or we've been doing virtual stuff and and uh but you know what this is a good way for us to communicate and even though we some of us we haven't seen in a while hello and it's a good way for us to keep in touch and to be able to encourage each other all this negative stuff that's out here man i heard so much negative stuff today child i know i needed to come on in and have a good time okay and encourage somebody hang on in there you know somebody told me um just the other day they said beverly um i'm not working i said me with the same boat and so i made them laugh because it was like you know working though girl we can't we can't do normal around cover guys you know cover 19 has changed our everybody's world but you know what in the midst of it all haven't missed a meal god's still been paying our bills he's still been taking care of us i can't complain y'all that's why i have to tell you and encourage you no matter what you're going through [Music] god got you he got your back he's taking care of you you're still eating you still got a roof over your head you need to say thank you lord it may not be like you wanted to be but thank god it's not like he used to be i'm still standing i'm still standing i'm celebrating tonight to y'all because my daughter trina y'all been praying all these years eight years she's been on dialysis but tonight the testimony is that trina got her kidney y'all know what i'm she got on saying list and they called up two three times all of a sudden the holy ghost that's what her daddy says and that third time was a charm she got that kid she's doing this she's here tonight to celebrate with her mom 57 mostly most of my birthdays she couldn't come when she got sick because she was so sick but thank god she's here tonight that's a gift the the same thing for you there's so many blessings within the pandemic this ain't just a sad time it's a blessed time it's a blessing so you gotta receive the blessings within it so god did bless me he healed me through three surgeries on my brain the lord did twice through my nose for the last time they cut my cranium but i'm still here and i'm still standing and the fact that i have activity on
