Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Most of their videos are brilliant viewing, I highly recommend subscribing to their YouTube channel.
It really bothers me that he used the word 'quadrant' to divide up 9 sections. On another note, it was pretty informing.
Do yourself a favor, and don't skip the art history.
"Never split your image in half."
"I beg to differ."
I've watch about 40 minutes so far (at work) and I'm enjoying it. It's not new to me, but it's still nice to hear someone explain and show examples
I'm so glad this started with an "art history lesson." So many photographers fail to recognize what is a good or bad photograph simply because they have no idea what makes up a good/bad photo.
Thank you for sharing.
I'm a big fan of their videos, but for the most part this one fell flat for me. Other than thinking carefully about the order that your eye moves around a photograph (something that I had learned in art history class but not transferred to photography), I didn't feel like I learned anything new here, and I certainly don't consider myself to be an expert of composition.
