so believe it or not the holidays are here whether you like it or not q4 is upon us and if you're an online store this can be your busiest time of year and also hopefully your most lucrative time of year so let's talk about how to go ahead and get your store ready now for the holidays for those early holiday shoppers plus also get it ready and prep so it's not this huge crunch come black friday cyber monday all of that stuff so i have this video today where i'm going to be going over six different shopify apps that i recommend for setting up on your shopify store to get it ready for the holidays so let's just jump right on in the first app that i recommend is called bold upsell i've recommended this app before on my channel and i really like it because it lets you do true upsells and cross-sells on your site so upsells and cross-sells are a great way to actually incentivize your customer to upgrade and spend a little bit more either whether it's getting a complimentary product or just upgrading their existing product that they were already considering on purchasing you've already spent the time and the money of getting them to your store in the first place so hopefully you can get a little bit more of a profit margin by getting them to spend more on your site instead of having to just try and send even more customers to your site you can hopefully just make sure that the people that are the potential customers that are on your site that have already clicked through an ad or social media post that they actually do purchase and they purchase just a little bit more to help your bottom line so i really love the bold upsell app because it makes it really easy to set up and have very complimentary products throughout the process of shopping on your store so i highly recommend setting that up the second app that i recommend is just uno we've also featured that on this channel before as well but just you know is different email pop-ups that you can use on your site to try and capture more email subscribers so i know email pop-ups a lot of people are like ugh they're so annoying however i really love that just uno has really targeted options so you can make sure that your email pop-up is showing to the right people that are most likely to actually sign up and you're not just annoying everyone by having this pop-up come up on their site as soon as you get there because that's super annoying but they also have other cool features that you can use like exit offers so if someone is about to leave your site you can then show a pop-up to them there with a special coupon like 10 off and hopefully incentivize them to stay on your site and purchase and they also have things like countdown timers so you can see whenever a special sale or promotion is ending and hopefully incentivize them to purchase them they have other features like this but it's really helpful to think about using an email pop-up or an email subscription service like this for your holiday rush because if they're not going to be purchasing from you this first time around with the holidays hopefully you can at least capture their email address and market to them so that you can get that sale later on okay so also with the holidays you're just gonna have hopefully a lot more orders in general which means maybe more returns so the third app that i recommend is called aftership they actually have two different apps one is for a return center and the other is for order tracking so this can be really helpful for your customers throughout the whole process so i guess it's a two for one i recommend getting both apps actually so with that think again about your customer experience you want to make sure that they feel comfortable that they're going to receive their product and their order in the mail and that they know where it is throughout the whole process plus you want to try and minimize all of the customer support emails of hey you know i need this product by christmas where is it at you can just send them to the order page where it has all the tracking information there and they feel more confident and control about where their order is along the way also if you do have any returned the return center of the aftership app makes it really easy to process the returns and again reduce the customer frustration as well as reduce customer support on your end as well so with an increase in order volume i definitely recommend checking out these apps talking about returns and holiday shopping in general i actually got really inspired for today's video based on the retail brew newsletter which is actually the sponsor of this video so retail brew if you're not familiar with it they send out a free newsletter every monday wednesday and friday all about retail and e-commerce so it's really helpful and it has great tips instead of going to a bunch of different youtube videos or news outlets or reading all these blogs you can get all this industry information in a newsletter delivered again free to you three times a week so i actually was really inspired with a past newsletter that they had that was talking about what the effects are going to be still with some supply chain issues for this holiday season so they were talking about supply chain issues of either things taking longer to actually get to customers so some additional frustration there or potentially not having enough stock in store so maybe seeing a lot more sold out signs at big box retailers and that also affects e-commerce shoppers as well they were saying they anticipate having more people actually doing their holiday shopping earlier because of that and you may want to look at ways where you can incentivize customers to have almost like a pre-shopping experience for the holiday rush so that you can make sure that those shipping times are not going to be affected you're not going to have all these last minute holiday shoppers where you're kind of like oh i hope it gets to them on time and you're incentivizing people to go ahead and get those holiday orders in now so that you can make sure that everything is going to flow nicely with any potential supply chain issues i really love the retail brew newsletter and it's a great read it takes about five to ten minutes to read and it only takes actually 15 seconds to sign up for it and again it's free so i highly recommend that you sign up for that i'm going to put a link in the description below there's over 145 000 other ecommerce store owners and retail industry professionals just like you that have already signed up so go ahead and make sure that you are always informed about what's happening in the retail space okay so my fourth app is the affirm app so this is a financing app that lets you actually have your customers pay in installment payments now you get paid all up front for that order however your customer then sets up a payment plan with a firm so it takes that bigger purchase and it breaks it down into smaller monthly payments for them so this can be really helpful especially if people are looking to buy a higher priced item or potentially upselling them and getting them to have more items in their cart it makes it to where it's not this huge charge up front and they can have different monthly payments again you don't have to process any of the installment payments you get paid all up front through different financing apps like a firm which is in the shopify app store and i highly recommend offering this as an option for your customers again they don't have to choose it they could pay all upfront if they wanted to but it's a great incentive especially as we're all spending money in different places for the holiday season next on the list is looks photo review so i love this app and i've featured it many times on this channel before but it's a great way to actually get your customers to leave reviews for your site as well as take photos and attach that to the review so it adds some social proof for your site if you're going to be getting more orders and more sales through the holiday season it's gonna be really crucial to capture those as reviews and photos that you can use for user generated content moving into 2022 so that you've already got that social proof and that you can then use that in your marketing moving forward you want to make sure that this is set up before the holiday rush for sure because they actually have the capability of actually sending emails out to remind your customers to leave a review so you want to have that before the holiday rush so you can have it all set up and it's an automated process of getting reviews for your shopify store the last shopify app on the list is the smile loyalty rewards app so i love offering ways to incentivize customers to keep coming back for repeat purchases because then you're not having to do all the work to get them to come back you've done already the work up front of getting them to come to your store the first time and purchase that first time and they had a great customer experience they liked your product now they're coming back and want to purchase more from you so that's great so giving them incentives of little rewards of like if they spend a dollar they get a point and so many points gets uh five dollars off or ten dollars off coupon or if they share it with friends and family then they get so many points for referring people to your site they have a lot of different incentives like that that you can do and it's a great way to keep your customers active and to actually kind of turn them into ambassadors for your store and keep them to keep coming back and to spread it with their friends and family so again if you're getting more orders already for the holiday season giving people an incentive to come back in the beginning of 2022 for more orders is always a great idea so those are the apps that i
