Best New Hammock 2020 (Haven Tent Hammock review)

i'm avery and this is bushcraft twins today we're gonna be taking a look at a new sleep flat hammock that i think y'all are gonna like so stick around [Music] okay today we're gonna be taking a look at the haven sleep flat hammock tent it comes with the hammock the rain fly and the pad that goes in it itself and i think you're gonna like how this sets up it's very simple we'll take a look at it and then i'll give you a link to where you can get it all right we have here today the haven tent it's actually a hammock or you can use it as a tent and we're going to take a look at see what comes with it how it sets up and everything like that first off got a nice little carrying case it comes with the sleep pad and the hammock bag here it all straps together so it's compact i think it weighs around right at four four and a half pounds together all right let's take it apart and see what all comes with it you got some cinch straps right here it comes undone like that we got our air mattress comes with two nylon straps then it comes with the hammock the bug net and a rain fly it's all wrapped up together you got some tie out stakes and all and it comes with two poles this is what helps it sleep spread out to sleep flat that and the air mattress slide these together like that there you go all right now we're gonna take put the straps up we have two nylon straps they look like they're about an inch wide got a loop on one end loop on the other end individual hook spots through here there's like six or eight of them i'm gonna take it around feed it back through i'm gonna put this about eye level there you go we'll get the other one on the other one and we'll get uh show you how to hook the other thing up all right each side has a big heavy duty carabiner just tape open up one of your holes here slide it in that's all there is to it once you got them both hooked up and look like that and then all we got to do is put the air mattress in so uh we'll get it out and take a look at it next air mattress [Applause] roll it out now this air mattress does have a foot pump in the bottom of it right here and the way it works lay it out now they suggest you take your shoes off to do this so you don't put no holes in it go ahead and do that just take your heel put on there and push down let it air up hill [Applause] i don't know how long this will take but i usually don't use that i just blow it up the other end with my mouth because uh this seems to take forever i guess if you're really tired and are not really tired and want to sit there and do that go ahead i'll get this aired up and then i'll put it back put it in there and show you what it looks like all right we got the air mattress blowed up so we're going to get it in there and put everything together let's take an unzip now this does come completely off if you want it off take the air mattress push it down in there looks like we need to lower this side here so go ahead and do that [Applause] there we go that looks pretty good and level take two black poles and on the inside here there's two little pockets you just slide them poles it's on each side [Applause] there you go now that ain't the flattest laying hammock you've ever seen i don't know what it is [Applause] i think the feet need to go back down a little bit [Applause] all right now we're going to show you how to put the rain fly on [Applause] now if you see the way that's made well the way that's going to hook is where your clips clip to the straps it's going to go through there that's how you put it on and take the end off go from the underside up over pull it down strap it back up [Applause] all right and you got your straps and your tent poles or tent stakes these are aluminum what i'm going to do is just roll this rain fly up because i don't need it out until uh you know if it rains it ain't supposed to rain anytime tonight or tomorrow so all right everybody thanks for watching i did not notice the camera went dead by the end of this clip so i'll leave a link to the haven tint in the description below thanks for watching
