BEST IGUANA TRAP in FLORIDA! **How Cold Weather Helps**

weight we're feeding it every day it's beautiful but it's a little bit chilly outside south floridians you know we freeze in like 70 degree weather iguanas also freeze in 70 degree weather check it out oh come on come on come on they're starting to run they're starting to run there's a bunch of them over there you see them all running up that tree zoom into that dude no matter how many times you go after these things there's one in the tree right there you see that little guy right above the water guys they were falling out of these trees they're probably up here like i can't even tell you these iguanas no matter how many times i go after them no matter how many times i take a little pellet rifle and take them out no matter what i do these iguanas are absolutely everywhere now it's not too cold for them yet every once in a while it gets around 40 degrees in south florida and that shuts them down and you can literally pluck them off the ground like mushrooms they love my yard they just tempt fate all the time they love my yard i'm telling you look right here look at this thing there's just everywhere right here in the grass right here by that little look at this you'll see them when you run but you see that they're not going into the water right they're going up into the trees that's oh well that one went under the water but he doesn't want to go down it doesn't want to dive he barely went into the water only because i cornered him here look how look at the grass look down here this is all because the iguanas have been feeding right here it's just barren back here they do not want to be in the water they don't want to get cold they don't want to get wet then have to come into the air they'll freeze up and they can possibly die we're going to make like a warm trap we're going to attract these iguanas with a little bit of food but mostly because this trap is going to be a lot warmer than the surrounding areas so we're going to give it a try and see how it works we have plenty of bait for hard iguanas look at these bananas and these are the smaller ones we actually harvested this from this tree or one of the trees back here i think it was that one look at this thing that's some solid iguana bait fresh fresh banana i'm telling you guys this is as good as it gets it's delicious oh my god it's so more oh my god it's so much better than a banana from any grocery store from anywhere anyway but i'm gonna do with this one so i'm gonna feed our fish a little bit spoiler guys check it out remember i also give these guys hot dogs tilapia like bananas hockey like bananas they're gonna come yum no no no but none for you i'm saying waste oh there you go the paw could just say there you go oh now yeah here comes the munchin oh don't let you don't let tilapia do that actually come on let's go catch your iguana now this is gonna be our trap it's a hunting blind that apparently animals cannot see into but we can see out of it we're getting it we're getting it there we go that's all i'm talking about we could just keep this right here and all the iguanas they wouldn't be able to see us because we'd be inside here you cannot see through there especially if you're an animal like an iguana that's not really that coherent you know what i mean i got a small brain up there check it out look at this thing you cannot see into it if you're 10 meters away you cannot see into this thing so go ahead go inside here selena check this out come on look at this come on come on come on check it out hop in there now i want you to sit on the ground okay that's that can you see my poop dude i can't see your poop don't move all right guys can you see in there can you see her at all on the ground sitting there not a thing now the thing unless you look into one of those windows if they climb in there they're gonna have to figure out how to get out while we're watching and we can jump in there and pounce on them so check this out i want you to see how it looks like once you go inside so come on go in there go right in here come on guys check it out check it out how cool is that how sick is that so we can see in every direction oh wow this is cool it's a super cool hunting blind and it's so small it's like a portable tent you know you can just pop this up anywhere so we don't have to just stay in this one place we can put this anywhere and also doubles as a trap because the iguanas can climb through these easily it's porous on the sides and we can close these up as well pull this up for me so check this out check this out on this side so now that's closed you cannot see through that and also it has a rain proof area as well it also helps with the cold because it does block from the wind these iguanas are hiding in the dense brush so this looks like a bush to them they don't even know what's going on they're not afraid of it it has the camouflage colors so if we do this check it out we grab our bananas and we throw it in here check it out boom boom take this for me selena yeah all right now you go and head after them after her you just put those right there those bananas look great now selena is gonna get out of here obviously the iguanas aren't gonna want to see her in here but they're gonna come start munching on the banana check it out we might have to stabilize this it's a really windy day and that's why the iguanas are gonna want to find refuge and go up in the trees and just hide it would be pretty difficult for them to come out because check this out this is not material that they would be able to get their claws on am i gone that's why you need to stabilize it's a really windy day all these wines will be running away it's going to be the perfect trap so we're going to set this up and wait for the iguana to show up in it so there are pegs in here that's great we're going to throw those pegs in the tent and then hope that tomorrow brings us some iguanas eating those bananas this is a great sign guys it's been days since we've checked our trap but look over here look how many iguanas are right over there look can we see him let's go ahead oh there's a bunch more over here look i wonder how many are in our trap see there's two more right there what we're gonna do now is i think i saw one in there i saw a little bit of movement but i didn't see much we have openings on three sides now they can see us right now but i don't think they know that they can see us but you know a lot of times iguanas like they lay prone and unless you like are looking them in the eye they don't run i can see a little bit of our banana all right what we're going to do this is going to be really cool just look in there we have at least one in here there's a little one there's a teenage one right on the on this on the side corner okay what you're gonna do i'm gonna come on this side right and you're gonna come on this side just peek in there okay ready just peek in there and look at him i'm going to go on this side actually have like solid ones we've had little ones come in and out of this but like lizards like nothing worth filming this is like what day is this tim like it's like been like a week right yeah the bananas are yellow now i know the last three days the last three days we have not even touched it we haven't gone near it no scent no nothing we had not touched this trap and now these things are torn it's making me sweat profusely how how warm is it in here tim it's like a significant i'd say maybe 15 degrees different it's like hot and humid in here we got this one this one's toast this one must have just crawled in here okay look at this thing this thing is like a limp noodle so this one is actually colder physically i can feel it even through the gloves this thing is like like an ice cube and this thing is as warm as it is in here so this trout worked this thing was nesting right in the corner it's cool how you can see through from inside i know you can see through but now i am a ghost i am a coop ah here we go look at that how awesome is that that trap worked of course now it's probably not going to work for a month it took us a whole week to film this video guys but anyway look holding hands don't let me grow jack seriously guys chicken of the trees you guys know the catching cooks are awesome what i'm gonna do now is we're gonna see who's hungry so we might have fun with our family cook all three of these guys and serve it to them this guy this guy's nice and warm that's why our trap worked i'm telling you there we go no no no no no no he's in the bushes where behind the little unit right here yeah all right i see him i see him yeah i see him coming over here going over here he's right here coming going this way i see his tail he's got to be exhausted i've been handling him already for like five minutes now you see him see him right there no yeah all right i'm gonna go for it come on i can't let him go run i i this way this way perfect perfect he's getting cornered he's trying to climb up check this out come on come on he's right here he's done he's done you're done you see him all right try not to get bit if this thing bites you he will leave stitches and you will be done oh no no no eyes he's trapped look see this this wall this wall he can't go anywhere these bushes have thorns god and of course that stick is is that stick is broken um we need go here we go here we go ah dude ah that was tough oh that was tough [Music] they play dead as soon as you give them a split second of opportunity these things come back to life and run full speed we're just trying to grab some thanksgiving dinner they act like they're sleeping and then they go nuts that's ridiculous right yeah they were just absolutely acting like they're dead because they thought they were caught and they always do that when they think they're caught they play completely dead like they do not move they don't do anything and now they're going crazy when they think they're cornered or they think they're caught or you have your hands on them they just completely die out but look at this come on this side telling you guys that was insane throw him back in here that was crazy that was absolutely crazy but we got them guys we got them and these guys tails legs they're gonna make a great fun thanksgiving dinner gonna freak out everyone in the family absolutely so that's what we're gonna do we're gonna roast these guys for thanksgiving it's the most beautiful day down here in south florida there's no snow there's not a cloud in the sky and we caught these iguanas because they went out there trying to get the sun and they creeped over there they smelled those bananas those ripe beautiful bananas and it's been about a week i think and we really stayed on this video it took us a long time but it paid off we got three beautiful iguanas i was told there was another big one that was coming in and out of there unfortunately we didn't catch him but we did catch another big male so we're happy and i'm lucky to check this out look from above how many we got these guys are perfect eating size the females are the best tasting by far so guys stay tuned for the next episode this has been insane do not release your pets or else they're going to be invasive creatures all over the planet they're going to breed interbreed with next thing you know you're
