[Music] hello everybody I'm Stewart something with Explorer - this is the best hidden gems here in the city of Nashville right behind me is the dam for Percy priest Lake that's found near Hermitage Tennessee I'm currently at Stones River Greenway the thing that makes this a hidden gem is this Greenway actually connects all throughout downtown Nashville to Metro Center and you could actually take this Greenway about 10 miles into the city so you can either walk it or ride bikes they have a great dog park here at Stones River and the Nashville Greenway is such a hidden gem because really the only people that know about it are people that live near it so this connects over to two Rivers Park that's near Opryland and then that goes into Shelby bottoms and then you have to make your way through downtown over to Metro Center if you're looking for some amazing exercise with scenery numerous different bridges and you get to cross over the Cumberland River a few times this Nashville Greenway is the best place for that [Music] Hamilton Creek is part of our Percy priests hidden gems this is found off of Bell Road this is a free Metro park here and the reason that this is a hidden gem is because there's not a lot of people that know about this area there's mountain bike trails there's the BMX course there's a park and they also have hiking trails you can come here with your entire family spend the entire day here they have some grills on property you can also rent kayaks and wakeboards and the big paddle boards so if you're looking for just a family-friendly hidden gem Hamilton Creek near Percy prease is the best location for that another hidden gem here in the city of Nashville is the Music City BMX course ran by Metro Parks what makes this a hidden gem is this is found near Percy prease but you can't actually find this and unless you're intentionally looking for this BMX track this is a competitive track for local races I'm not sure if it's open to the public but the hidden gem feature is just coming here and watching some BMX races and having bikes go up and down the declines and inclines it's just fun to watch I'm at plaza mariachi which is about 15 minutes away from downtown nashville plaza mariachi has a Hispanic market that offers clothing food coffee and entertainment this is a cultural hub here in South Nashville and what makes this a hidden gem is because this is not on any list it is the cultural hub it's an entertainment destination they have numerous food choices and you can literally spend an entire day here at plaza mariachi in South Nashville I am at the green door gourmet which is a 350 acre farm in West Nashville near Old Hickory Boulevard the reason that this is a hidden gem is you can come here to this farm you could pick your own vegetables they have a little grocery store right behind me which is all organic foods grown in Middle Tennessee also in that grocery store they have a lot of different artists and made goods that are made here in Tennessee and up in Kentucky they have a wedding destination here and you can literally just come here and just walk around the farm and learn about farming here in Middle Tennessee I'm here at the nation's a thriving neighborhood in West Nashville so much redevelopment happening in this area brand-new restaurants coming into the nations right behind me is the 15 story silo mural this one when this was painted this is of a 91 year old man that have lived in the nation's since the 1920s and this represents this area really well this used to be an industrious part of Nashville and now it's this thriving neighborhood with brand-new restaurants residential use and there's still a lot of commercial things happening over here in the nations right behind me is Fort Negley this is a hidden gem here in the city of Nashville for a few reasons the first is because of the high elevation of the hill that's the reason the fort was here is because of the high elevation and that high elevation has an incredible view of the ever-changing Nashville Skyline another reason that this is a hidden gem here in the city of Nashville is because this fort was actually used during the Battle of Nashville so if you're wanting to come and learn about history this is one of the best hidden gems in the city of Nashville for that and another reason that this is a hidden gem is they have guided hikes and this is a free activity that you could bring your family and it's just a great place to come visit if you're wanting to get away from downtown Nashville I'm at the lane Motor Museum on Murphysboro pike a few miles south of downtown Nashville about ten minutes away and this is the most significant hidden gem on our list of hidden gems the reason for that is this Lane Motor Museum offers a lot they offer a lot of showing cars they offer a lot of like historical tours here but this is a car museum motor museum they have over 500 automobiles inside of this at tickets are under $20 a person and the coolest fact about this museum is all the cars in there are functional vehicles they could actually run this made the hidden gem list for us because Lane Motor Museum does not make a lot of the top attractions list here in the city of Nashville I think the reason for that it's privately owned and the location you have to go through a very sketchy area of Nashville to get here but it's definitely worth the visit if you're into antique cars and you're just learning about the history of cars I'm standing in a hidden gem here in the city of Nashville this is near downtown Nashville this is Cornelia fort Airport [Music] and in the 2010 flood this used to be an active private airport but after the flood it was it's now an abandoned Airport so you could use this space behind me they have two runways that you can use you can use those for activities like riding your bikes writing great skateboarding you can also come fly drones here which we're about to do so that's gonna be a lot of fun also this is connected to two rivers Parkway so you can take the back trails to go to two rivers and to Shelby Bottoms Park if you're looking for a place to get some great exercise also some peace and quiet from the downtown hustle and bustle that's near downtown Nashville the Cornelia four Airport is the place for that [Music] I'm at Blue Moon waterfront Grill in West Nashville this place is a hidden gem within itself you have to go deep through a neighborhood to get here and it's on the Rock Harbor Marina that's part of the Cumberland River this place is a hidden gem because not a lot of people know about this this doesn't make a lot of lists here in the city of Nashville they have indoor and outdoor seating with a great view of the Cumberland River they have live music they serve some seafood which is very rare here in the city of Nashville and they also have Americana Grill type food so if you're looking for a great place to just come listen to music and relax and to see a beautiful sunset Blue Moon waterfront grill is the place for that if you're coming to South Nashville and you're looking for a very interesting place to eat lunch or if you're just finishing over at the Lane Motor Museum come over here Monday through Friday this is Tex BBQ they have some weird hours throughout the week but this is a hidden gem because they have some of the best barbecue in the city of Nashville and nobody knows about them besides the locals that live and work in this area it's a texas-style barbecue so it's gonna be more of your tomato based sauce and then when you go in it's like a cafeteria style so you go up to the counter order your meats play your own sides and then you go sit down and eat so come to text barbecue it's over 40 years old I'm in West Nashville now at Edwin and Percy Warner parks off of highway 100 right behind me is this gorgeous Nature Center if you guys want to learn about animals biodiversity here in the state Tennessee the landscape this Nature Center is a great place for that there's numerous trails here used by runners they in the back of the park they have a wild horse trail so you can take your horses on these wild trails and this is by far the largest park in the city of Nashville it's about 3,000 acres and they're adding to this continuously this park was also designed from the person that designed Central Park in New York City so there is that fact as well if you're looking for an amazing park come to ed and Warner and Percy Warner parks I'm Stuart Deming if explore - this is the best hidden gems in
