where you got a venture 2.0 I want to show you what our essential upgrades are to every e-bike that leaves our shop make them safer more comfortable more secure this is unpaid advice these are things we really believe in first thing I recommend I call this a tractor seat very wide it's got some Springs make any bike full suspension that's going to give you a couple inches of travel make your ride a lot more comfortable adjustable stem this pivots you'll be able to raise your handlebars up get yourself comfortable position you're going to get thirsty you're going to need your water bottle cage we love these vibration alarms Sirens go off thieves go away you want to have a lock we got liquid Kevlar we put that in every single Tire it leaves the shop got to have a cell phone holder a speaker strap you got to have a mirror and we got your Apple Air tags these go in two Secret locations in the bike we'll show you where all right stick around we'll show you how to put on each part and what's uh what it all looks like when it's all together nice seat pretty comfy you don't want it get the suspension seat post that's the trick we're going to loosen these two bolts on the underside of the suspension seat post it'll lift this clamp up we'll be able to slide the new seat in tighten it down make sure the angle is proper and it makes a world of difference to have a nice saddle on your bike I like to loosen them up as much as possible but still keep it screwed in get yourself a trusty tractor seat you see these two rails you want to get those rails in there that's what you're looking for get yourself a nice Gap to be able to slide these seat rails in one way or another once you have it tightened up sit on your bike see how the seat feels sometimes it's tilted backwards sometimes it's tilted forward and just get yourself the most comfortable ride's position before I crank it all the way completely tight I'm going to go ahead and sit on here just like I mentioned see if it's tilted right yeah for me that feels about Perfect all right installation complete we got ourselves a suspension seat post a nice couple inches of travel we got a super comfortable seat this make all the difference onto something simple life is easier with something just like a water bottle cage you'll notice two water bottle bolts just unscrew them put them through these holes screw them back tight gonna need a number four hex wrench for this water bottle bosses we got the water bottle cage installed you'll notice the bottom side has a lip it's obvious that's what's going to hold your water bottle now you got yourself a water bottle holder some cold drinks on the ride life is good one of the best upgrades you can always do to your bike subscribing to the channel for more tips like these most requested upgrade of any bike adjustable stem you notice when you're riding if you're leaning forward your wrists are hurting your back is hurting that's not the position you want to be an adjustable stem will allow you to lift the handlebars up get your back right pressure off your wrist pressure off your back things are like thirty dollars it's a no-brainer get yourself one we'll show you how to install it you're gonna have a number four hex wrench is going to hit the four bolts on the front of your handlebars loosen those and take them all the way off let your handlebar hang down by the cord it's going to be okay first things first loosen this headlight bolt so you can have some play and get it out of the way all right your handlebar mounts are now loose and undone go ahead and pull these off save them for later gently rest your handlebar down here until you're ready for it you'll need to take off your old stem to replace it with the new adjustable stem top bolt number five hex wrench save this bolt you may need it you may not depends on your adjustable stem two side bolts on your stem number four here's your old stem no adjustment no fun adjustable stem that's what you want slide it over the notch get your number five hit the middle when you're tightening up the middle you want to make sure that you have your front wheel and your stem aligned straight you'll have a chance to recheck it a little bit later on always torque your bolts to manufacturer specs look it up in your manual you'll want to crank them completely tight one than the other than the other than the other now that you got your adjustable stem installed take off the clamp mounts go ahead and reposition your handlebars Center them and give it just enough tightening to make it snug you're going to want to hop on the bike and check the brake lever positioning before you tighten this clamp all the way down the old handlebar clamps are in two pieces one piece two piece the new handlebar clamp is in one piece the middle of your handlebars has this headlight Mount we use all kind of different adjustable stems and this particular one does not set up with the headlight the way that it is on the handlebar to me it looks like the easiest way is just to undo these two bolts on the display move the headlight to the side reinstall the two display bolts unloosen them till they're free and remove the display if there's something you're stuck on with one of your e-bikes put it in the comments below we'll take a look and get right back to you when you're removing the display these are plastic arms you have to bend so do it nice and gentle you don't want to break those arms there okay display is free headlight going to the side display going back on put the two bolts back in the display do not tighten them all the way you want a little play so your display can move depending on the rider position since we got that headlight out of the way I'm going to go ahead and use the secondary handlebar clamp that came with the new stem put the four bolts in tighten it up you're going to want to tighten them just snug that way you can move your handlebars a little bit to get your right wrist position I'll show you what that's all about you'll notice most handlebars have these numbers for alignment here you want to get it in the middle when you can't see those bars you're in a good spot I'm just going to guess for the right angle right now and get it just snug enough to stay in place most adjustable stems you're going to see an adjustment bolt to loosen it up on the side A lot of times you'll have one on the bottom don't forget about that bottom one you'll wonder why it's not moving there's a secret bolt hidden down there now I'm going to hop on the bike and position these handlebars to what feels comfortable for me okay we're looking pretty good so I want to show you the full range of motion from an adjustable stem you can have your handlebars up like this you could have them all the way down like that so pointing forward like this going to give you more aggressive riding position more power from your legs but it's also harder on your wrists you can see the pressure is going to be there pressure on your back I prefer personally somewhere in the middle so that feels good next thing you want to do is put your fingers on your brakes because what if you have your handlebars like this not good just rotate your handlebars until it looks like you have straight wrists and then go ahead and crank it tight it's about perfect for me tighten the bottom bolt on your adjustable stem that'll keep it from adjusting anymore tighten your handlebar clamp that'll keep your handlebar from rotating once you've got everything set get that headlight back out put in kind of a neutral position tighten it to the headlight pointing forward don't worry you can still adjust it even if the clamp is tight it has its own independent adjustment still the one last thing you want to double check is the alignment we want to make sure that the handlebar is exactly aligned with the tire and not off to the side now I don't know if you guys can see this but the tire is just slightly to the left I'm going to go ahead and loosen these two stem bolts make sure it's completely straight tighten it back down and this is a job well done all right that looks perfect everything's perfectly straight perfectly lined up re-tighten your two stem bolts as with all our upgrades if you don't want to do it yourself come on in the shop we're happy to assemble it for you install it for you and if you buy one online and need assistance give us a call text or email we're happy to support you we can even do a video call if you're stuck on something all right you guys that's our comfort adjustments for today I like these big tractor seats with the springs and the support also get yourself at least a cheap suspension seat post at the minimum that travel is going to be nice to your back your neck make your ride a lot more comfortable ultimately a lot more enjoyable Comfort upgrade's done let's find out what to do next now we got a comfortable bike let's make sure it's secure we're going to install a hidden Apple Air tag you have two options for where you can install it one is in the belt one is under the water bottle cage since we've already installed the water bottle cage we're just going to put a secret compartment Bell with an Apple Air tag in there that way your bike has GPS you'll never lose it you know where it's at Everything feels good we just buy these on Amazon for the shop it's a Apple Air tag bill it looks like just a normal Bell right wrong inside here is a spot that'll fit your Apple Air tag check this out look at that get your Apple Air tag put it inside your bell install it on your handlebar now you'll have a bell and peace of mind you'll see it can slide up under the shifter lever and be closer to your thumb once you have your bell and air tag in place you'll notice this thumb part is not where you want it don't worry just move it to the side now your second option for your Apple Air tag if you didn't want to get a secret compartment Bell you could also get this Mount that goes under the water bottle cage this is hidden back here on your bike nobody can even see it but the secret is inside Apple Air tag this is an item we always use it's a vibrational arm sometimes you're going out to lunch you can see your bike you don't want to pull out your whole lock and lock it all up maybe you're just going in the store for a soda or a snack and you'll be right back you'll be able to mount this alarm on your bike chirp it with your key fob once you hear it the second beep it's armed now you'll imagine if somebody touches this on your bike this is what is going to happen that's their warning shot step away from my bike it's not yours it's cared for it's loud enough to make a difference bring some attention keep your bike secure the vibration alarm is going to come with double-sided tape that'll keep it from scratching up your bike wherever you mount it mounts with zip ties now zip ties are okay way to mount it if you want to take it to the next level get yourself Steel security straps and a special tool to install it I'll show you those in just a moment find somewhere convenient to mount this on your bike and get some straps I personally like to hide it on the down tube somewhere I think right there looks good here's what we use today spikes to install these it's a steel security strap you need a special tool to tighten it up and clamp It Off you can get these at your local hardware store it makes a big difference versus a plastic zip tie you'll find there's two Loops at the top two Loops at the bottom for your straps slide them through put it through the little rivet pull it tight get your tool clamp it tight a couple times clip it off Steel security strap [Music] alright my friends strap number two installed we got the vibration alarm let's give it a test your key fob is going to have a lock and unlock on it hit the lock and you'll hear it arm after a second wait for the second beep and then your left then you're active now if somebody comes up to steal your bike they're going to touch it that's going to give them warning shot they're going to take off if they're feeling Squirrely and coming back for more it's not the end-all be-all and security but it makes a huge difference you'll feel better and you'll know your bike is secure we love these vibrational arms no bike is complete without a lock get yourself any kind of lock whatever lock you like all locks can be busted so having some backup security is always nice we like this particular lock it has a button to take it off the code is resettable and we'll mount it somewhere here in the Triangle a lot of them will have this type of Mount that'll be able to fit around one of these post pieces they'll have some inserts to either take up space to make a snug it also protects the frame from getting scratched from your lock mount you'll notice the nuts are usually mounted in the back of these and they fall right out so be careful now that we got the lock mounted position screw it nice and tight this lock is a brand called titanker it's pretty cool it's got this little clip that mounts in the Lock Mount you can see there's not much room to get this lock in here it just simply won't slide in this slot so I'm going to loosen this set screw turn this to the side tighten it back up and hope it'll fit right in there looks okay not the coolest I think you could probably adjust that set screw a couple times get this to set right where you want it but it's not too shabby there a lot of times you'd mount it here here but these are pretty big tubes right here and it just didn't fit so I'm going to keep it right here under the seat uh quick release action whenever you need it you just hit that button slide her out it's pretty cool setup security recap you've got an Apple Air tag hidden in your bell you got a vibration alarm installed with Steel security straps you got your lock mounted here with your own combination between your GPS vibration alarm and your lock you should be all right we got two safety upgrades essential to every bike you want to put on a mirror on the left side you want to put liquid kevlar in the tires the mirror will show you the traffic behind you make sure you're driving safe on the road the liquid Kevlar will self-seal any flat that you come across say you're 15 miles out on the trail and get a flat tire what are you going to do good thing you don't have to worry about it you installed liquid Kevlar ahead of time we'll show you how to do that this is a cheap mirror you can find on Amazon or your local bike shop they're under 20 bucks all you have to do to install your here first thing pop out that safety cap on the end slide it right in spot to tighten her up right there they'll usually have a little bit of protective film peel that off and your live action safety upgrade number two you're going to want to use Liquid Kevlar four pumps into fat tires two pumps in a small you will need a special tool to take out the valve stem of your bike tire unscrew that put this on pump it in screw it back inflate it back up you're good to go take off your valve stem cap get your trusty tool Tire between 10 and 2. don't lose your valve stem you'll need to reinstall that get yourself a liquid Kevlar put the hose over the valve stem give it four pumps get your valve Car Tool reinstall last thing pump up the tires make sure the beads are sealed go off for a ride one of our favorite tools at the shop Ryobi air pump these things are great if I was riding on the beach I'd leave it about eight but around town anywhere between 12 to 20. the lower pressure you have the more cushion your tire will have the higher pressure you put in there is usually up to 30 pounds Max that'll give you longer range for your battery before we get to our final upgrades one of my favorites is smashing the like button be sure to do that thanks guys [Music]
