AO this is ainka this video is all about vlogging with insta 360h Pro what are the best settings for filming a cinematic Vlog during the day and night what are the visual differences between standard flat profile automatic filming and manual filming What accessories are good and what accessories are just waste of money let's do whole bunch of filming in today's video Let's perform all the tests I have created a free PDF file with all the camera settings so you don't have to take a note you can just enjoy watching this video as this is an action camera it is recommended to film at 30 frames per second as you will get the extra frames if you are vlogging and doing lot of extra shots the footage will be a lot smoother however if you are somebody like me which is just a regular lifestyle daily Vlogs without any action shots then you can film at 24 frames per second especially if you're going to be mixing it just like me with 8K footage which is only available at 24 frames per second I want to mix the 8K footage because then in a post I can digitally add in zoom in and zoom out and panning and a lot of movement without losing any equality well let's jump in to the camera settings let's check out the screen resolution is 4K 24 frames per second frame rate ratio is 16 by9 stabilization I have set to standard which is more than enough for vlogging Studio film an active HD are well that depends on your taste here is a side by side picture with HDR off and hdr on hdr on will give you better dynamic range the video will be more even when it comes to shadows and highlights however if you prefer a more natural look HDR off it is for you action cameras usually give you the distorted wide Look So to avoid that select the dewarp angle that has wide field of view but has only minor distortions I'm not using Dorp right now I'm using the ultra wide angle so you can see that the edges around me are kind of distorted the buildings are definitely not straight dworp is on so all the edges the buildings around me are now getting the straight look much more natural look let's swipe left to tweak out of settings I find insta 360 cameras Overexposed a bit so when I film on a sunny day I usually keep the exposure at minus 0.5 well I'm in downtown and this is just filming at 24 frames per second I'm using a standard color profile and the exposure are set to minus 0.5 let's leave priority Focus setting and low light stabilization after several tests I'm finding the low sharpness the best for vlogging white balance is set to automatic but I highly suggest locking it up so it doesn't change as you're moving around from place to place let's talk about a color profile default for every scene is standard however I'm going to be filming in flat profile this gives me a low contrast image that I can then color grade in the post myself here is side by side standard profile and flat profile and let's add color grading to the flat [Music] profile Studio film in manual mode I finding the camera to be very good in automatic mode already you're watching the whole time footage filmed in automatic mode but if you really want to film in manual mode and one the suweet motion blur here is a set of free well ND filters There are nd8 16 and 32 there is also a polarizer included that is great for landscape shots as it removes polarized light how do you set manual mode it's easy go to m you have to change two things here shutter speed and ISO if you are filming at 24 frames per second you have to double the shutter speed the closest to 48 is 50 so select 150th ISO just bring down all the way to 100 on a bright sunny day and choose the right shade of the ND filter to darken the image to a normal look I would like to mention one thing when I was filming there with manual filters the nd32 for such a light conditions here bright sunny day at 24 frames per second was not enough so I had to switch to filming in 60 frames per second shutter speed was 120th and I lowered the ND filter to 16 so this is just what I'm finding as I'm filming right now in low light conditions you won't need an ND filter at all right now I'm recording myself in manual mode I have to increase the iso all the way to 3200 there's only one lens on the camera but you can still create zoom in and out effect simply hit the Double Arrow right here and as you can see I am way closer to you if I want to zoom out I'm just going to tap on the double arrow again as the camera has a very large sensor the quality will be simply great another option would be filming a few Clips in 8k once you bring it to your editing software I'm just using cap cut here you can zoom in and out with the help of key [Music] frames if you film yourself and the camera is positioned stationary you can easily create panning shuts with the key frames in the post 8K gives you large files you can easily crop move it around you can do anything with it a few weeks ago I published in-depth guide or tutorial how to use this camera I'm going to link it below for those interested everything is linked there the PDF file accessories you'll find everything there many of you ask what is better if the invisible selfie stick or the universal Mount well this is how I see it for General vlogging though I like the universal Mount better I'm also using a quick really with it first of all the grip is more comfortable you can extend it position it in a height you want as it is kind of round the grip again feels more natural you can tilt it towards you you can have it sit on the ground table adj just a height by the way this Mount is not only for this camera you can use it with any small mirrorless camera as well it's quite Universal you can use it with even a smartphone if you like if you do Sports invisible selfie stick is better as you can erase it in a software and you have further reach I have changed the universal Mount to Invisible selfie stick so now if I'm going to upload the video to insta 360 app I should be able to erase the selfie stick from the shot so I'm sure that you are not seeing anything now let's keep moving so right now my settings on the camera are color profile is a flat I enabled HDR for dynamic range and yeah this is the picture you are going to get I'm going to turn around a little bit so the sun is straight up on me and I'm going to turn away against the Sun so we'll see how the picture is going to change this is just a little test for those who want to see the settings but I can tell you right now that my arm is a little bit sore I simply prefer the universal Mound for holding the camera the selfie stick it kind of it's just it hurts in this area on my arm so before I leave daytime settings and move into nighttime settings let's talk about the sound hands down the best sound you're are going to get if you're going to be using Wireless external microphone I have one right there if you're going to be using just buil and microphone to sound I find is quite quiet and if you're going to be using airpods I just don't like the sound at all for it I have enabled HDR because I would like to see the picture and as I'm walking this is just a standard stabilization so this is what we are going to get when you will be walking vlogging walking vlogging yes I have connected my airpods to the camera this is the sound you are going to get my airpods are not the newest model they are quite older One external Mech is a whole different level I'm using com vimo c wireless microphone and make adapter it's very easy super lightweight setup let's leave the day and let's dive in Into Night filming the easiest way to shoot in low light in automatic mode is to shoot in pure shut mode I'm using this mode right [Music] now so this will be the video you're going to get in pure shot mode I'm at the same location I was filming during the day but right now it's light I'm getting a lot of light sources from Street lamps let me quickly show you the pure shut modes settings there's not much you can really change there I'm going to bring down the exposure again to minus 0.5 and this time enable low light stabilization pure shut is automatic mode to mainly help in low light conditions I would like to however see the difference between this mode and filming in a manual mode let's change the settings my settings are the same as during the day except I am not going to use an ND filter and I will increase the iso so this is the look you're going to get if you're going to be filming in manual mode I see that I still have the face priority tracking stabilization should be pretty good and the light should be good as well I'm getting a lot of light sources again from window shops Street lamps and all that what are you guys think let me know in the comments below well give it a thumbs up if you like today's video subscribe for more and don't forget to check out one of these next see you in the next one ciao AO
