old model by buying expensive YKK aqua guard zippers of course the new and improved tarmac too has big leaky Vincent is less downgraded from waterproof to water-resistant which is about as useful as a bullet resistant vest not very Summerlee we're looking at the worst reiteration since cats well good news because the $420 tarmac - lets us quietly snag a much better original tarmac for what now 300 with even more leather and better leather one point two millimeter full grain cowhide it also has a rear exhaust to pull air through the chest vent something the bass Hawk lacked and the hood can be zipped off another feature up from the icon the best of all it costs 250 100 less than its precursor but Zebulon are is a budget label they know how to source decent material for pennies they don't quite know how to design it these hood cinches are the dumbest idea since lawn darts they slap your face at 30 kilometres an hour and randomly remove eyes at 60 also leather on forearm elbow shoulder upper back is good but under arm it's useless if I'm buying the cowhide much rather spend it's leather on the lower back when I actually slide and finally the style is a bit American a gentler man would call it generous and honest man would call it fat here I'm wearing a size large as I must to get barely enough length but I'd have to be obese to fill it even if I added my own armor I'd still need to add 50 pounds my loss though because of our a bigger rider this is a killer jacket for the price if I were the biggest rider I'd still be stoked as sizing goes up to five XL and if I were a lady there's a ladies version called the transmute last time none of those things so we move on it is unforgivably bez Ossian to call an $800 jacket under price but regard this Revit trench and hear me out our own experiment video confirmed the gore-tex is legitimately best at waterproofing hence the price tag in Revit line up those cortex riding jackets are north of $1000 like the Poseidon for 800 the best you can do is something like the Neptune which has gore-tex but only as a pack light liner that kind of sucks or rather soaks because while your body stays dry under the liner the outer jacket absorbs kilograms of cold water and now we understand why the trench is special and costs 800 like a line jacket but the show is actually infused with gore-tex something you normally have to spend another 370 to see odd thing is the features are all here thermal liner for freezing rods aqua defense panels for sweltering ones this stuff is neat it lets in a whole window of air but no moisture and with magnetic hooks that want to click home these vent panels are open a bull with one gloved hand protection is also oddly present see flex level to shoulder and elbow pads are the thinnest most breathable ce2 protectors I know of Revit actually won an award form and like the Alpine stars we saw earlier this whole garment has been slide tested only now to a double a standard comfortably withstanding two seconds of 70 kilometer per hour asphalt before things get decidedly uncomfortable I am wearing a size XL now remember when I said the icon tarmac was old well the first downside I can find is that stitching such a rugged jacket is heavy work and stuffy first gear claims that there are five inch vents but it that's five inches then I have a three-foot penis here I'm wearing a tall size large which fits baggy a regular large or tall medium would hug me better kudos to first gear for offering specialized sizes and especially for offering the voyage a similar jacket legit men's and women's options otherwise the icon tarmac is a cheaper Street look and the Revit trench is a more expensive touring option of course ultimately these are all priced below their value
