[Music] wonderful people watching around the world somebody say praise the Lord isn't Jesus precious I've just had these dear people you know how many of them came from outside and we had some what some of them stand stand up and these dear ladies came from Nigeria right here I love Nigeria by the way oh I love Nigeria and I'm glad you're you're all here I'm glad you've joined me and please tell your friends right now like get hold of them somehow to join in this is our third class on preparation for ministry and that's the last one for free okay so the fourth one you're gonna have to pay a fee and well I'm glad to really do this because it's gonna be really powerful again tonight and I want to talk about the call of God and what the Bible has to say about the call of God but I want to begin because so many of these sweet people here were not here before I want to begin with some of the material I gave but first father I give you praise let's lift our hands and bless the Lord Lord we give you the praise thank you Lord for the privilege you've given us to serve you we love you with all of our hearts oh dear Jesus dear Jesus how we thank you how we praise you for your love for us that you came you actually came to this earth and so as a man that you will humble yourself to be a man and died on a cross and took our sin and shame and darkness and death Thank You wonderful lord thank you for your power you are alive forevermore Holly you are the King of glory hallelujah you are the great I am hallelujah the Lord of lords and a mighty God hallelujah you overcame death hallelujah then you're coming back again we'll give you the praise and lord I pray tonight you'll help me your Jesus just guide me on helping and instructing your servants your people and your service and those who want to serve your Lord they want to serve you because they love you help me show them your word and your will and I thank you again wonderful sweet Redeemer for your call and the privilege you've given all of us to serve you where would we be without you I don't even want to think about it Lord so sweet so sweet you are love you lots Lord and we want to love you even more give us a love we've never known brand new love baptized us with a new love unto death and faithful today in Jesus name and God's people said you know I've been reading foxes Book of Martyrs I read it when when I was young and now they have a brand new there's so much happened since you know the 70s so now they've kind of republished a brand new edition and I would really recommend every Christian need to read foxes Book of Martyrs how many have ya how many have not please do it will inflame your heart would love for the Lord and it will strengthen your walk to to to see the martyrs back in the early days in the New Testament days and then for 300 years sweet Saints were killed by the Romans fed to vicious animals and torn by animals and burnt on crosses are much much more and it's still happening what is sure shocking it's it's still happening in in a bigger way today and people don't realize that ten thousand every year now are killed for the gospel that's staggering 249 million under persecution and I said to the Lord if you days ago in tears I said lord I would love to be one of them well yeah because see we love Him and our love is not empty words I am Katherine Kuhlman cattleman I have Ralph Wilkinson who was a dear friend of miss cumin had great Church here called melody land across from Disneyland thousands of people who come to his services on Sunday and Catherine used to come preach for him and she gave him her copy of foxes Book of Martyrs and he gave it to me and if you open the and it's a old copy all torn up and and if you you know open it you read with her own handwriting give me the privilege to be one of them and I said to Ralph when he gave it me I said now I know why God used her willing to die for the Lord like that I am how about you life without him who wants it no way no way alright so let's begin to talk about some of the things we covered and don't want to spend much time with that I just want to kind of remind you ministry is dependent on good leadership and I showed you from Scripture that when righteous leaders are an authority God begins to bless Nations judges - you can write this down in case you missed it judges chapter 2 verse 10 really right through verse 19 and then chapter 17 verse 6 and chapter 21 verse 25 talk about how when you have right leadership the blessings of God follow and when you don't the judgments of God follow so without leadership a nation has no strength without leadership a nation cannot be that cannot be delivered from the satanic without true leadership people come under judgment and that's all from the Bible so how we need leadership today in the church and so it really is with the church because without true leaders people will forsake the Lord like like Israel for sub God when they did not have true leaders and without true leaders people rebel against Authority the authority of God and like I said individualism brings rebellion when people are not under Authority the result is always rebellion so we need leaders we need people in authority in the church and you know God's Word also tells us without true leadership like in acts 2:4 and Philippians 2:15 it talks about perverseness people become filthy without leaders so people cannot live righteously without leaders people fall into sin without leader so why am I doing this well quite simple I don't want people living in sin true leaders keep people living for God through pastors prophets apostles and so on people live for God when you have leaders and they don't when you don't have leaders so it's really quite amazing that Paul the Apostle himself being a trained scholar understood that when you wrote about it now and I've said a lot you know I don't want to have to repeat everything but there are many scriptures I would like you to look at proverbs 14 35 and I covered all that proverbs 17 verse 2 where leaders keep people walking with God and I also showed you what is a leader a leader is one who knows how to mend there you remember the Lord called the Apostles why while they were mending their nets so you've got to be able to you have to be a person who knows how to mend lives so God can call you a leader in God's army is a is a trainer of soldiers a true leader is a restorer of the broken so all this we have talked about and Anna just sort of those out of joint and so forth and and a true leader and by the way I'm only giving a headline so they took me to two hours to give all this the first session a true leader recognizes people's abilities and develops them a true leader focuses on the positive not the negative and a true leader will challenge God's people to fulfill their gifts and their destinies a true leader will encourage people when they make mistakes and a true leader always will plant a vision in people's hearts visions are born as a result of leadership and a true leader will always give you confidence in your call always and frankly a true leader will always pray with you for the fulfillment of your ministry someone who believes in you someone who believes with you to fulfill what God has called you to do so a true leader will never dominate you only false leaders do and the Bible has a lot to say about controlling leaders false leaders one of them the activists mentioned in 3rd John and we don't want to go there right now because I gave all that you and and you and you see the at Rufus very controlling very legalistic man who wanted to dominate people's lives by telling them what church to go to and what chose not to go to and so forth and I also gave you the difference between true and false so I'd like to give you that again because I think that's such a helpful list of things and especially you that hadn't heard me before on this a true leader will concentrate on changing you from within while a false one will concentrate on changing your surroundings from without so one is you know he aims to change your heart that's a true leader or one who's the false one will want to change what surrounds you to bind you it's it's like it's the difference between freedom and bondage Richard Nixon was fabulous with this one one time he was interviewed and I said that before and and he said the difference between freedom and coming and communism or if a free man or one who is involved in communism like Cuba or the Soviet Union by then is this that freedom focuses on the heart of the man and freedom says let's change the man and we'll change his surroundings while coming the Communists thought let's change the surroundings will change the man see the difference god always focuses on the heart not the surroundings so Liberty says let's change the heart a true man will change the heart a false guy wants to change what surrounds you to change you that's called bondage a true leader will respect you and show respect for you while a false leader will show you how superior he is and how inferior you are a true leader will focus on building you by respecting you while the false leader will actually tell you you cannot make it without him that you need him to survive he does not point you to Jesus he points you to himself he sees as you need me a true leader always works towards achieving long long-range goals meaning the future while a false one demands results now a true leader always is working with you for the long-range results for the future and his or her time with you to bring you there while the false leader says no no I want it now a true leader makes himself not necessary not important that's the true because he's always pointing to the Lord as the important one while the false creates an an atmosphere that will convince you that you need him to achieve anything you need the man or the woman to achieve no you don't need nobody you just need God so a true leader will value you encourage you never condemn you a false leader will always be critical of you we'll have a little pinion of you will criticize you when you make mistakes god never does that you know look at Jesus I mean look at his a response to the woman caught in the act and the Pharisees firstly says let's kill her she's a sinner she's not she should not live she's worthy of death and when the Lord looks at her he says I do not condemn you Wow built all right back up again yo say no more so he encouraged her he did not condemn her he showed how valuable she was and a true leader will always show you your value how expensive you really are how valuable your while the false will will show you that you're you you're no one you're a nobody he he looks down at you a true leader always liberates you when you listen to and equips you to by the way while the false one will always limit your freedom always and you it's so easy to tell that to you know one guy liberates me and the other guy limits my Liberty so and then a true leader like I said is a heart person is a heart person he always shows concern for you a false one is a head person head not hot boy how easy to tell that difference the guy has a heart and the other guy's got a head all he's got is knowledge but no heart means nothing I got to know jerry falwell years ago his son now you know John Jonathan follow the runs Liberty what a wonderful man he was and I would watch him on TV he was such a great pastor preacher Southern Baptists he and I agreed on so much except healing he was quite funny with me now Benny he said when when I watch you on TV and you lead in that beautiful worship it's no different than you night when I hear you teach the Bible no different than you and I but when those healings begin it's downhill from there for you there's either didn't believe in miracles and I would laugh and say well why is that well his his opinion was that miracles you know stopped with the with the Apostles but so I'm sitting with him in the car his car and he used to have a big what one of those things were the big wheels on it what would he call that truck yeah anyway so he's driving this thing I had to climb into it almost it's not a car like a truck and well one of the big vehicles it was and then we were coming out of Liberty and were down some road and I see this we saw this young kid with his wife on the side of the highway because their car had broken down and jerry falwell stopped his car got out of the car I'm still in the car watching and got out to help those people and spend quite a bit of time with her make sure that someone came to help them they were not on the road by themselves after a while that's a hard man cares for his people and people can tell they can really see the difference which it's not about the preacher the preaching it's about Izzie a hard man there's a lot of precious men out there that you and I may not see eye-to-eye with on some things but they are real precious servants of the Lord and they're hard people hard people a lot of them Southern Baptist pastors have a great heart for God and for his people Charles Stanley what a sweet precious man he is I love that man very much very much because he loves Jesus it comes right out right right now but sadly I've met some tongue talkers who have no heart I'm sorry to tell you says the fact so speaking in tongues doesn't mean a thing it's all about the heart not not about the gift did you hear that so a gift doesn't change the hearts of people but a pencil where the heart will change your life yeah so that's a true leader he's a he's a he's a hard person not a not a head person who knows it all very smart and all that okay so that's what we talked about I just give you some headlines from the first teacher now the second teaching I talked about what I began to talk about the divine call of God and I talked about men who are called by God men who are called by man and men who are called by themselves so three different people appointed by God or appointed by man or appointed myself and what how do you tell the difference and we talked about that there's a lot of things I gave you and then I actually dealt with first those who are appointed by self was Cora first elected Cora and Cora rose against Moses and against Aaron so self-appointed men will always come against God appointed men always knows and they will question the call of true servants of God like Cora question Moses and so on and they will continue to attack publicly anyone who attacks people publicly is self appointed always always and I mean if you look at the Bible now or look at the ad about anyone who gets up on TV and and or any word and attacks people by name or preachers by name he's self-appointed because that's Cora and then then you have people who are man appointed like Saul and and the one thing about men appointed individuals when you read for Samuel and you you see what Samuel has to say to the people he said now here's what your King will do because they wanted to appoint him he was appointed not by God but by man and and he said he will take 8 times he will take he will take you with it he'll take your sons and daughters he'll take your cattle he's like your farm so man appointed leaders will will always rob you rob you that's what Saul did to Israel he robbed Israel will always spoil you never give you anything because it says he will take you will take you will take kept repeating that more than once in in for Samuel which we actually looked at so they are takers not givers and we talked about how can you tell if someone is appointed by God and so we saw that and I don't have to repeat everything but that's what we've discussed already in two separate teachings now tonight I want to talk about what is the call of God what is it so first of all I'm gonna give you quite a few scriptures here to begin with so I really begin my third session now in 2nd Timothy 1:9 and I had you read some of those last last time some of you read it in fact out loud but I think we we should all read together 2nd Timothy 1 verse 9 because everyone must recognize the high calling we all have every one of us every one of us it's called so let's read together 2nd Timothy 1 verse 9 and I have a few scriptures we're gonna read all that okay because this is the real meat here we we can't rush so second Timothy 1 verse 9 I like it to begin reading with me when I say go 1 2 3 go who has saved us and called us with a holy calling not according to our works but according to his own purpose and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began so you can understand God Almighty called you before the world began he didn't call you when you were in your mother's womb but he called you before angels were created he called you before the world was ever created so why would God call you before the world began that shows you how important he saw your call your call is more important than creation think about that your call is more important than the angels and their creation before God thought about anything he thought about you you and calling you so he saved us and called us with a holy calling before the world began so when when I read that verse I am stunned like I mean my call is more important than the world all of us because it didn't give names it's just us it says God has called us he saved us and called us and when he said us he meant everybody in the church think about this if if if every believer on earth really realizes that they are called and do their or fulfill their call Jesus would have come a long time ago we would not be here today think where the world would have been now in 2nd Timothy 1:10 he said to us we have to give diligence like be very diligent like let this be something extremely very important in in in our lives 2nd Peter 1:10 you gotta see this verse wherefore the rather brethren give diligence to make your calling and election sure and then he says and if you do this you'll never fall imagine when you when you are so diligent with the call of God you'll never fall and an entrance for so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ now earlier of course you know he talks about what kind of life we are to live we we have partaken of the divine nature in verse 4 now we give diligence to our faith to the power of God to the knowledge of the scripture to temper - patience to godliness and so on brotherly love all this and he says and if these things be in you in verse eight and abound you'll not lack you'll be always fruitful in the knowledge of the Lord and he says but he who lacks these things is blind can see if Kent and cannot see afar off so he said but the rather he said wherefore the rather brethren give diligence to make your calling sure that's like the headline of Christianity and when you make the that calling sure you don't let anything interfere you'll never fall that's incredible what a promise we have second disel onehans to 12 and this is incredible I mean when you read these these scriptures it's so powerful because you see the real fullness of the heart of God and and what God Almighty has planned for your life first Thessalonians 2 12 so precious really it says that you would be worthy of God who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory do you realize that when you are called as a Christian to serve the Lord and walk with the Lord you are called not only to be a member and a part of the kingdom of God but the glory of God the glory of God and you know when you talk about the glory of God people think about some bright mist no it's way more than that the glory of God is who he is his attributes in Exodus 34 God revealed his attributes when Moses had said in the chapter before that 33 verse 18 he said show me your glory and God in Exodus 34 beginning at verse 5 revealed himself that the Lord is merciful gracious long-suffering and more so the the glory of God is himself so we are called to literally be closed upon with God to be one with him now that's like mind like our brain can't compute with that like you know he can't get it that you and I were created to be one with him completely one with him that's why Jesus came he said that they of course in John 17 he said I in them they me that they may be made perfect in one that's incredible as you Father are in me and I am them I want them to be one with us that the world will know you've sent me unbelievable so we've been called into his kingdom and glory and in Hebrews three verse one the Jewish believers because Hebrews was written to the Hebrews to the early Jewish believers who are under amazing great I should say persecution by the fellow people fellow man and forsaken by their families for their faith and they are told by the writer could have been Apollo's could have been Barnabas Paul the Apostle we don't know wherefore holy brethren verse one partakers of the heavenly calling consider the Apostle and high priest of our profession or confession Christ Jesus so here we are partakers of a heavenly calling not an earthly one we are heavenly people with a with a heavenly calling and our heavenly calling began at our salvation so I'm showing you these amazing scriptures to prove to you you truly are called of God Romans one six and seven among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ to all that being wronged beloved of God called to be Saints called to be Saints grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ Wow so we are called and it's twice it's mentioned twice we are the called of Jesus Wow that's awesome we called to be Saints Ephesians 1:18 is another amazing Scripture the eyes of your understanding being enlightened God wants you to know you're called that you may know what is the hope of his colleague and the riches of the glory of his inheritance in your life the Saints everyone listening to me here and around the world I want you to know you are called by God or Mary to be his and to serve him Ephesians 4 verse 1 look how many times the Bible mentions it it says therefore I therefore the prisoner Paul speaking of the Lord beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called we are to walk worthy of the call not neglect the call of God nothing is greater nothing in life is greater than the call of God nothing no job no family no nothing 2nd Timothy 2:14 we run - he called you by our gospel why - the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ he called you by the gospel to obtain what the glory of the Lord Jesus now you don't need to wait for any further voices visions revelations from heaven to know your call don't wait to hear a voice don't wait for someone to come and prophesy over you you are called nobody needs to come and tell you you're called it's all over the Bible I just I and may I add man I just only gave you some scriptures so well I'm waiting for God to call me hello knock-knock he called you before the foundation of the world so don't wait for a some vision or an angel to tell you something because it's not gonna happen don't wait for Benny Hinn to tell you you're called God told you through his word you're called you don't need nobody to tell you your call comprende are you listening you gotta believe it now come on look at me you've got to believe it do you believe it well then stop messing your life up and it doesn't matter how old you are get get in it get to do it now before Jesus returns I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna tell you something some people they're just waiting for something that's not gonna come every believer is called say I'm called I know it I know it nobody can change my mind I know it well then let's do it let's do it before it's too late - okay now the reason Christians can't accept that God can call them and use them it's because they have this inferior thing about themselves like oh you know I'm not worried all that stuff 1st Corinthians chapter 1 clears all that up in 1st Corinthians 1 verse 26 he he poor the Apostle who reminds us about something so beautiful and powerful so he says in Chapter 1 of 1st Corinthians and verse 26 he says now look at your calling brethren how that not many wise men after the flesh are called not many mighty men not many noble but God has chosen the foolish things the foolish things wait hold it now he's chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise God has chosen the weak things that's that's me right there if you read that list you'll find yourself in it the weak things of the world to confound the things are not that are mighty base things that's me too I couldn't even talk when when I got to preach I used to stutter I didn't have any I had no self-worth because people told me how stupid I was because I couldn't talk and God said I like that boy let's let's do it when my dad heard me preach it said to my to my mom that's not your son your son can't even talk God was showing off yeah so God has chosen the foolish and the weak and the base things things that are not that have nothing to give him not even education Wow we all fit in that list look look at this list of eight things mentioned God has not chosen the wise God has not called the wise number two he did not call the mighty number three he did not call the noble but he called the foolish foolish enough to believe that he said what he meant and meant what he said he called the weak he called the base and the despised things that are not are despised Wow the despised things you look at that list you think you know what I fit in a whole lot of that stuff right there and and when you when when you read that you think wait hold it God is looking for someone who do has no wisdom earthly wisdom not mighty not noble someone who's foolish enough to believe what God says someone who's weak not strong someone whose base someone who's despised and someone that has nothing to give God and not even education catherine said i have nothing to give you but my love wow that's awesome I have nothing to give you but my love God said I'll take that everyone in this room everyone watching me you fit in this list God is just waiting for you to move do it do it be be like be like Julio rouble have you ever heard of fooled or about some of you haven't okay Julio Baal was in his 20s came to the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles to hear Kathryn Kuhlman back in the 70s he wasn't saved wasn't saved he was outside couldn't get in with thousands of people he got saved outside he looked around there wasn't even a sound system he did not even hear what was going on inside did not even hear miss cumin did not hear her or see her he was just outside he accepted Jesus right there when the Holy Spirit revealed the Lord to his heart and he looked around and he saw thousands of people out there who were all disappointed that they could not get in found something I don't know what it was and stood on it and told the crowd that Jesus is the healer and did not even preach he did not even know how the Lord began to heal the people outside as Julio who just got saved minutes before began praying for the sick someone ran into the service stopped with skooma 8,000 people or 9,000 packed the shrine and the overflows and Katherine was told publicly there's a young man out there praying for the sick she rejoiced God was healing in them outside while Julio was praying an inside wall Katherine was pray he went back to Bolivia his country filled packed arenas and stadiums within weeks of his salvation then he didn't go to school didn't go to Bible School did not even know what the Bible said thinking about he was he was a Catholic boy who just got saved the president of the country came to his meeting the wife of the president was there and got saved in his meeting shook the whole country and today that precious man is mentioning foxes Book of Martyrs he was sitting in this very studio with me when he told me that God told him to go and preach the gospel to the drug dealers in Colombia and his wife and children were in this very room right here and I said Julio I just met him for the first time that day his face was shining like an angel I said Julio why do you want to go to Colombia he said the Lord told me to go to preach the gospel to the drug dealers and then he said Jeff remembers that because we taped that program and still have it on tape he said the Lord told me I will be killed he was young still maybe in his 30s I don't remember how young he was with a smile on his face and I'm thinking Lord maybe I can change his mind somehow dummy me you know I said what's gonna happen to your wife who was sitting there listening what didn't happen to your children he looks at me with such sweetness he says brother Benny why are we in this anyway why are we called anyways III didn't know what to say to him that was the last time I saw him within I think two three years after after that he was murdered he would he would go to the presence with those drug dealers Warren many of them got saved then he went to Karla Columbia or some other city there and they killed him he's in heaven now and for many years many years our ministry supported his wife and children God used him to shake South America bring many of these drug lords to the kingdom into the kingdom didn't live long it doesn't matter how long we live we must full fulfill the call how they do you lift your hands and thank God thank you Lord for the call mana come Talal not repel barking - bless him in the Holy Ghost that we'll call Jesus sweetest Redeemer we love you so much Lord thank you for your call on our life we just don't want to disappoint you we don't want to fail you hallelujah now listen press the people Peter Marshall I'm having a hard time here just talking I'm holding back the tears you know when you think about Julio and you hear you read the stories in foxes Book of Martyrs this very Bible was given to us by people who were burnt for giving it to us thought the Catholic Church back then wanted to control the minds of people what they did to amazing men and women of God there were some of them killed for even owning a Bible was a man named Pete Peter Marshall Peter Marshall became the chaplain of the Senate of the United States during the second war you sweet people need to look him up on on the internet you'll be amazed the Scots came from Scotland and he became the pastor of the church in Washington DC that Abraham Lincoln attended the President of the United States and the government of the United States many of them would go and listen to him preach the gospel and preach the word it's a great moment in his life after God had opened the way for him to become the pastor of this amazing historic Church in Washington it's still there I'm sure one Saturday night and I became friends with his son before his son passed young Peter he actually been with me on our program more than once and he told me stories about his dad and how his father went to this beautiful church building before he had preached there and stood behind the pulpit in this empty building at night and looked at his life and said we shall not disappoint the Lord because when God calls you he gives you his trust not to fail him we will not disappoint him that's why God used them he was determined not to disappoint him lift your hands and tell God I will not disappoint you yea I'm not disappoint your Lord see because God has called you and and I'm I have these special nights with you to prepare you because this world is crying out for people like you everywhere there are so many homeless people in Los Angeles they say now and the government doesn't know what to do think what God would do with you if you get in your car some of you and minister to them on the streets start with that see what God will do with you there are people that Jesus died for just like you and I so think what Los Angeles would be like if the church becomes the church you know what I mean if we really become who were supposed to be will change cities nations in no time now in the New Testament there are several several words that all mean call but there you don't read that word call there are a number of words in the Bible that talk about the same thing yet you don't see the word calling like the scriptures I gave you and meaning like them for example you see the word ministry the Greek word da cunha means to serve ministry so when when I talk about the call I'm talking about more than just the call what is the call well it's ministry number one what is ministry serving that's what that word in greek means it means to serve so in Colossians 4:17 and that's what the Lord focused on when he spoke to his apostles he said I'm here to serve when they were talking about who's the greatest in the kingdom you know he said the one who serves because that's what the call is all about in Colossians 1 the story for thank you in Colossians 4 verse 17 and say to arch our cheapest take heed to the ministry which thou has received in the Lord that thou fulfill it so when God calls you into ministry you must fulfil it say to our cheapest take heed to the ministry which thou has received in the Lord that thou fulfill it serve don't forget you must fulfill that service in Jesus whatever it is whatever it is I was coming out of a mall one time before I ever preached the gospel ever I see a sweet lady from our church who had gone to the same church I I had attended at that time and this dear lady was on a wheelchair it's a very elegant woman on her wheelchair in the parking lot and she had just gone to shop in a mall called Fairview Mall what I used to work and if I recall there was someone with her I don't remember who it was and they had bags and shopping bags and I ran towards her I said please please let me let me let me help the minute I said let me help the glory of God hit all three of us like Jesus showed up in the parking lot I was stunned with the reality of the presence of the Lord and we all felt and knew the Lord was there he loves showing up when we serve because that's what he did in 1st Corinthians 16 15 what's this I beseech you brethren I beseech you brethren and think about the the heart coming out know the house of stephanas it's the firstfruits of a hail and an Adam that was the name for Greece that they have addicted this whole family addicted themselves to the Ministry of the Saints God wants you to be addicted to ministry not other things to serve and he gave them honor in Scripture the Holy Spirit would mention stephanas and his home as being the first fruit meaning the first people who got saved in Greece that they've addicted themselves to serving the Saints in 2nd Corinthians 5:18 you know ministry is not about look at me you know look how famous I am no look how much money I got no it's about ministry it's about serving 2nd Corinthians 5:18 I love this verse and all things are of God who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ watch this and has given us the Ministry of reconciliation we're to reconcile people back to the Lord that's a marvelous ministry I'm glad I'm going slowly with you Romans 12 7 I really want to really pour into you what is ministry what is the call I'm giving it to you or Romans 12 7 how beautiful this verse is it says if it's ministry or service let us wait on our ministering wait on our ministry look for open doors and go right through them don't don't just think like some angel is gonna brush your hair if you see a door get in there you can't believe how many times I would look at someone in a mall or somewhere didn't know me didn't my name nothing I saw a lady she looked so sad young lady so sad a little overweight not pretty to look at but just sad looking at it sitting by herself on some bench South Coast Plaza down here and I just stopped and looked at her I said do you know the Lord Jesus really loves you she began to cry I said come on here I'm gonna give you a hug and she was just she she couldn't believe it she looked at me she said no one has ever done that so well the Lord just spoke to me to tell you how much he loves you and I'm hugging you in his place just walked away one moment like this can change a life I saw a door by looking at that lady and seeing her sad face just a third face sad face was a door an open door she felt probably that no one wanted her who knows what was going in our heart what was going on in her life it was a moment shared and I and Tim before him we ministered to so many flight attendants you can't believe it who would weep on the plane I've had them kneel and said pray with me because they're just human beings you gotta look past the uniform at Delta Airlines or American or whatever you see you have to look at the human heart you know that they have needs and they respond with such love and Christian love comes out of them because you just played with him then some of them had never even heard my name some have some haven't but just to pray with somebody who's having a tough day everyone can do this beginning tonight begin to fulfill your ministry tonight don't wait till some other time so the Bible tells us this in verse 7 just wait for that moment and wait doesn't mean if you look at that word word wait it means look for them for adore look for an opportunity given by God just look at people and see Lord can I do this and he'll and he'll he'll guide you a promise will guide you I love it when I see some of my staff pray for the sick somebody on a wheelchair can I pray with you do it if they say no you just say thank you walk away I promise you many will say yes people are starving for ministry starving for freedom from Satan starving for someone to love them and shown the love of God and your that'sa many you are the Lord's representatives on the planet I'm glad you all came so I can talk to you like that because that's what minister that's what the call is all about it's not about being famous on I think the most celebrated people in glory one day will be people that nobody knew we just did their job and ministered and then you look at another word for the called talent remember in Matthew 25 talks about in verse 15 through 28 the store of the talents what is that it's ministry it's all about the call can have some x40 please so Matthew 25 I'm gonna begin reading at verse 15 because the Lord gets called us all we don't all have the same call but word by the way for talent means to bear a weight to have something like that is weighty something you have to carry yourself that's what the word talent means in the Bible talent doesn't mean like somebody with brains a talent is something that you carry with weight like a responsibility basically so in Matthew 25 verse 15 let's begin to read verse 14 for the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country who called his own servants and delivered unto them his goods and the word goods in the Greek is his authority and on to one he gave five talents to another two to another one to every man according to his ability what he was able to fulfill and straightaway took his journey then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same and made other five talents and likewise he that had received the - he also gained to others but he that had received one went and digged in the earth and hid his Lords money and after a long time the Lord of the servants cometh and reckon it with them so he that had received the five talents came and brought other five talents saying Lord thou delivers unto me five talents behold I have gained beside them five talents more his Lord said to him well done thou good and faithful servant thou has been faithful over a few things I will make thee ruler over many things enter thou into the joy of the Lord he also then had received the two talents came and said Lord thou deliver stone to me two talents behold I have gained two other talents beside them his Lord said to him well done good and faithful servant thou has been faithful over a few things I will make thee ruler over many things enter thou into the joy of thy Lord then he which had received the one talent came and said lord I know thee that thou art a hard man reaping where thou has not sewn gathering what I was not strong and I was afraid that's the problem right here fear I was afraid and went and hid my and hid thy talent in the earth lo there thou has that diamines I'm gonna give it back to you his Lord answered and said unto him thou wicked and slothful servant thou knewest that i reap what I sow not and gather what I have not strong thou art is therefore to have put my money to the exchangers and then at my coming I should have received my own with usually and this is the frightening part take therefore the talent from him and give it unto him that hath 10:4 unto every one that hath shall be given and he shall have abundance but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath and then he said cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth now when you look at this you have to understand that each one of us has at least one talent one talent now God Almighty III showed you from Scripture has called everyone listening to me and he's waiting for us to fulfill that call I would say something everything we do today matters in eternity everything you cannot ignore the truth of this our life on earth cannot be compared with the eternal service that God has ordained for us because he said I'll make you ruler over many things we're not in ministry only for this life this life is a test that's what this was this life is a test what we do today Matros eternally eternally think about that are you or your cameraman or users don't have a chair okay agent jester so yea come come I think about that all the time I think about I think about my eternal destiny what will God trust me with because eternity means no end this life has an end eternity doesn't so everything I do today I I think what will he trust me with them so I don't want to be thrown out into some dark place that's frightening when you read that everyone is called and he's looking for us to be faithful we fulfill it now the third thing that the call is it's also called grace grace so what is the call well the call is ministry and the call is a talent or a weight or a responsibility and a call is also grace grace means divine influence in someone's heart or divine enablement that word grace is written a hundred and fifty times in the New Testament and the Word of God talking about the Lord Jesus in Luke 2 verse 40 says the grace of God was upon him even as a child there are some wonderful scriptures I want to show you about grace the grace of the call the call is Grace it's a divine enablement it's divine influence in in your heart that God places within you to give you that ability to minister so in Luke chapter 2 verse 40 talks about the Lord Jesus and the child grew and waxed strong in spirit filled with wisdom the grace of God was upon him marvelous and you all know John 1:14 Jesus was full of grace and truth he was full of divine enable meant and truth John 1:14 Romans 1 verse 5 Paul talks about receiving grace for his Apostleship he received grace we all receive grace that's the call of God that call always comes with divine enablement so no one can say I cannot do it like that man well here's back your talent I couldn't do it because I was afraid of you when God calls us he Grace's us enables us he gives us the ability to serve to carry that weight or talent or responsibility and he gives us in our heart the the enablement the influence of God the divine influence of the Holy Spirit and so Romans chapter 1 verse 5 says this by whom we have received Grace and Apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for his name when you look at Billy Graham the grace on that man the enablement Kathryn Kuhlman Oral Roberts Rex Humbert so many of the greats that have now gone before us to glory the grace of God that was in them and the simplicity of the gospel they preached Romans 12 verse 3 talks about this grace of ministry this grace that also called the call of God because when we say call we mean grace so in in Romans 12 verse 3 we read for I say through the grace given unto me the grace given unto me the enablement God gave me to every man that's among you not to think of himself more highly than the art but to think soberly according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith wow I love that so verse 6 of the same chapter also says having then gifts differing according to the grace that's given to us everyone has a different gift because of the grace according to the grace the egg the the ability of God the enablement of the Spirit and and I love again what it says in Ephesians chapter 4 what a precious portion of the Word of God we're gonna look at beginning at verse 4 through 7 there's one body one spirit even as you are called into one hopefully of your calling one Lord one faith one baptism one God and Father of all who is above all thank you Lord through all in your but unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ so now this grace is given to the body and then I want to give you just two more things about the call the call also in the scripture is called the gift of God or the endowment he he will endow you with a gift and this is all about the call when God calls he gifts so in Romans 111 talks about how every one of us has received that gift I know there's a lot of information here but we all need to know what the Bible has to say about the call so when I read Romans 1 verse 11 he says I long to see you that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift to be endowed that you may be a star notice that the call establishes people that you minister to that you serve yeah you can actually impart stability through through the call of God look let's be real here about this there are hundreds upon hundreds of millions of people now in hell who wished they had served God and they have no way out be glad you are alive to still fulfill the call for many have been thrown out into darkness for not doing it you know when when the Lord talks about the way is narrow it's all about service it's very easy to get saved but to work out that salvation is very difficult and all of it happens when you fulfill the call that's why he said I urge you I beseech you fulfill the call I beseech you make your call sure that so you won't fall so why do people fall they ignore the fact they're called now just saved he saved us and called us everyone wants to enter Heaven nobody wants to serve no no serving means you will make it into heaven it's all about serving I just gave you the story of the man who said no I just hired my talent I'll hide that special weight and responsibility on my life well I'm I'm not gonna fulfill my responsibility he was cast out into outer darkness with unbelievers a saved man lost his salvation for refusing the call so when when you look at the at the scripture it's quite amazing and you read like Romans 12 6 where he talks about the call still and he calls it the gift there's a lot in the Word of God about the call of God having then gifts differing according to the grace that's given to us so whether it's prophesy prophesy according to the proportion of faith or ministry let's wait and I told you what what that means look for the door to open or on teaching or exhortation or giving all that is the call we do it with diligence so forth now in 1st Corinthians 14 verse 1 it says this there's so much in the Bible it's so precious verse 1 says follow after charity and desire spiritual gifts so you're to desire the call of God because that's what it means here or in the same chapter verse 12 even so ye for as much as the are zealous of spiritual gifts seek that you may excel in your call to edify the church so that's the whole reason for the call and first Timothy 4:14 talks about the gift and people have you know forgive me for saying this but people don't understand when Paul told Timothy in first Timothy 4:14 and second Timothy 1:6 well let's read 4:14 a first Timothy first he said do not neglect the kid the gift don't neglect the gift that is in you which was given you by prophecy with the laying on of hands so here is this call of of God that was confirmed by the laying on of hands on him he said don't neglect it don't walk away from it and 2nd Timothy 1:6 he says I put you in remembrance stir up the gift of God which came upon you by when I did hands on you now he was already called all Paul did was confirmed the call with the laying on of hands now how do i stir the gift and here's what I've seen people do they start praying in tongues that's not the way you start a gift you stir the gift by fulfilling the call by doing what God called you to do everyone everyone listening to me everyone you know within your heart what God has asked of you every single day we are given amazing doors to minister all of us all of us I sold ice cream after I got saved and had my Bible with me when I sold ice cream yeah and I never looked at the person by the ice cream I said can I help you and I'm reading my Bible I had long lines Faria mall in Toronto I would take my Bible and I we wrote scriptures young men who worked with me named Bob Chapman and put him on all over the wall of the of the little kiosk you can't do it today because they they wanted you but back then they did they and when they come when the boss complained I said look at the line and I would say can I help you I was I want chocolate than whatever thank you never saw the guy's face never that's a fact before God Almighty I was ministering while I was working I was really well and then people would ask me questions what are you reading the Bible and they would stand there tell me more tell me that God loves them Jesus that I people saved come and get saved I had little tracks underneath that little deal they say here good image a little track because I didn't have time because of the line yeah that's I mean it's that simple and when the french-canadian boss would complain he he wasn't oh he was not stated he was nicely he would cuss at me you said Kenda they can do that that's a look at the line just look at the line what could it say as long as the money was coming in he didn't care you know why they came I think God just sent them and I just all day long and and I'm gonna tell you a guy came running offering me a job to sell shoes but I could not read my Bible selling shoes and the guy from the restaurant came running down he said no no he said come back to work for us because he lost the crowd yeah you'd be amazed how much ministry is available in you do it Michelle do it when you sell real estate talk about the Lord pray with them now you do is let's say you're already in ministry so your real responsibility is not real estate just just adore God gave you for the ministry how many are listening to me put your hands apart or you are lawyer or a doctor or whatever you do the real reason for your life the real purpose is ministry God gave you a position in some company but the real the real thing happening with you is souls are being blessed saved touched healed so fulfill it maybe you maybe you will never have some position in some church you will win more people doing what you're doing you'll you'll affect more lives think about if you're an uber driver that's a mission field right there amazing what God can do with you yeah of course now let's let's look a little more at a few more amazing scriptures aren't you loving this okay so now the Bible says to covet and by the way it means to strongly desire to do more to go higher for the Lord I want to do more I really want to do more sometimes I think Lord now Lord what more can I do I want to do so much more before it's over you know because of my age I mean I'm still young and I can still do a lot but no I don't want to wait till I'm 9 and I can't think straight I want to do it now while I can think straight now the the fifth thing about the call what is the call the call is also an office the Bible talks about the office what is the office the office is the official god-given legal right to fulfill the call to serve him you know it it takes an office to fulfill it takes an office to to accomplish what God gave you to do I'm gonna tell you something right now you all better hear me this is very important Satan is not afraid of you he's afraid of your office we do not cast out Devils with our name we cast our Devils with our office what is our office he gave us an office his office his name is his office it's his authority you know what an office is an office think think about it when when the President of the United States is elected he may be a businessman like Donald Trump was or still is is for anyone or like a former like Truman Harry Truman was bankrupt when he had his store in in Missouri went into bankruptcy he failed as a businessman and a farmer but when he became vice president by accident yeah nothing people though who's he the minute he got into that White House he became the most powerful man on the globe not because he was a farmer not because he was headed woman because he sat on that chair here authority because of the office and the most the the biggest shock for him was the minute Eisenhower became president nobody cared to even listen to Truman and he said himself said he said he 15 minutes vil when when Eisenhower said I do it's over and Truman looked at someone and said had I said something a few minutes ago would have gone around the world in minutes now nobody cares if I talk all day long why he lost the office you have an office and it's not for four years now wait hold it you have an eternal office nobody will vote you out demons recognize the authority of your office they don't recognize your authority the authority of the office you hold as a Christian every believer has an office given to him by God by God the office of Trump is given to him by the people for four years and if they decide to keep him another war then he's out nobody would care about Trump after he's told out nobody would care what he says or things or any other man a woman out there but the second you are in their office the whole world will pay attention the army salutes you you're the chief you know you're the boss where you're the boss you're you're more powerful than Trump can ever be or anybody that Clerk with the Queen of England doesn't have your authority demons don't run when they see the Queen they don't run away when they see Trump unless he saved they run when they see you they flee you have a power to resist that devil himself and they don't that's the office say I have an office when God gives you a call he gives you the office with it think think think the Office of the President or the office of the president of some company or the office of a pastor or the office of someone in authority the office is big that's big stuff you honor the office you don't honor the guy your honor the office no but no nobody cared for Harry Truman when he was but he said himself he said it's not about me when MacArthur attacked him I didn't even want to listen to him it's that he disrespected the office you don't disrespect the office I do this thing so say say I have an office that office your office is more powerful than any office on earth I really wanted to know what you've got from God what he gave you is superb at and powerful remember the devil said Paul I know Jesus I know Paul I know who are you they don't recognize the office because they were there what they were not saved you have an office Romans 11 verse 13 talks about the office your call has power it says for I speak to you Gentiles Paul says in as much as I am the apostle of the Gentiles I magnify my office his office is I'm the apostle of the that's my office the office Wow Romans 12 verse 4 talks about the office for we have many members in one body and all members have not the same office you have an office and we don't have the same office but we have an office first Timothy 3:1 you never thought you had an office did you you have a heavenly office when you walk into your earthly office tomorrow mr. lawyer or mr. doctor or mr. businessman whoever you are sitting and listening or in your home you have a more much more powerful office in glory and in the spirit first Timothy 3:1 this is a true saying oh I love it if a man desire the office of a bishop he deserves a good work office of a bishop or same chapter 1st Timothy 3 verse 10 and let these also first be proved then let them use the office of a deacon it's all an office now I want you to say something all of you say first John 1:16 says of his fullness have I received sale again a little bit louder now the Lord Jesus the Bible says he received the fullness he received the fullness full of grace and full of truth all right he is the head we are the body well wait with you mister - mister a head cannot function without a body Jesus is the head the church is the body comprende so we as the body of Christ we're not the head he's the head of the fullness of the head we have received and the Bible uses the physical body to describe the church so we all are members of his body but we have to understand his place and the body is the head we are the fullness we've received his fullness so John 1:16 of his fullness have we received meaning the body we are his body somebody here is a finger somebody there is a hand somewhere there is a shoulder an arm his body so a lady came to a lady in a service one day she said oh darling aren't you afraid to fall through his fingers fall through singers because she thought maybe she'd lose the faith aren't you afraid you know you're gonna fall through she said honey I'm one of the fingers I'm not gonna fall through the vineyards I'm one of his sayings say I'm its body say it again I'm not going away say it again you're his body you're not gonna slip through the fingers you're the fingers and the arms and the shoulders and you're the body that body functions properly when we find our call you can't function properly like there's a call on my hand my arm my fingers have a call what do I do with my fingers I pick things up with them I eat with them without my my fingers I'll starve my feet I walk with them my ears I hear with them my eyes I see think about if I if you had no eyes or no ears or no fingers or missing a leg we are rich I said we are rich you know what I mean by that we're not missing anything do this come on you're rich you're not missing a finger a you you've got to two years on that work two eyes better than any camera out there you have two good legs that take you everywhere you want to go hello you're rich you're very now think about spiritual if we're missing a leg or an arm or some eyes the body can't function so find where you fit in the body is this helping you yeah so everybody needs to find its place on the body and and I'm gonna continue with a lot more next time but I have I'm not done yet I want to talk before I am done I want to talk about the function of the body like how to find my function there's a lot oh it's a long list but I mean there's no I can give it all tonight either but let's begin with this one let's begin with ephesians 4 11 through 14 and let's look at the function okay because it talks about fitly joined together you know what you have to function right so how do I fit what I can function and not feel like nobody wants me no every member of the body is very important to God very important to God you see what what we have to understand is Jesus is the head but he needs a body to carry him ooh you got a wherever you you read in the in the scriptures it's it says he's the head he's the head Jesus is not the arm he's not the leg he's the head we are the fullness we're the rest of the body did you did you hear that we complete the body on earth on earth the Spirit of God has put us in a place where Jesus can function within humanity we are his example his voice his ears his eyes his touch hallelujah where we go he goes we have his body this flesh of his flesh and bone of his bone did you hear that so think about a BA think about a a head with nobody won't do nothing can't function Jesus if you look at every scripture it says he's the head of the church is there of the church we are the body hallelujah mark ora Timothy palbok so Jesus isn't the body we are the body he's the head of the body but we're the body did you hear that well he cannot function without a body that's working right I'm not talking about his physical body on the throne right now in glory I'm top of the church he's the head of the church the head of the church we are the body he's the head of the church so the Lord cannot function without his church on earth on earth on earth so we must understand our importance to the Lord Himself so it says in Ephesians 4 you got what I said right are you sure because the head decides the head is the boss but it decides what the body knows and so on and so on so now we are the body now the Bible says something powerful in Ephesians 4 beginning at verse 11 and he gave some apostles and some prophets and some evangelists and some pastors some teachers for the perfecting of the Saints for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body till we all come into the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect man unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ that we henceforth be no more children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine that comes by by the sleight or craftiness of men and cunning slider men whereby they lie to deceive us so we need that body to function and that's why I'm doing these classes because I want to see the body function and in in in in first you see when when I got see if that's all I heard from Bible teaches about the function of the church how we can all function and I attended churches that really functioned as the body everybody took care of everybody we did not ignore the needs of the body when someone was sorrowing we all saw there was someone rejoice we all rejoice that's the way it was in the early church so in first corinthians 12 28 it talks about this listen this so marvelous here and God has set some in the church first apostles second prophets thirdly teachers after that miracles then gifts of healing helps governments then diversities of tongues so on and you know I'm gonna cover a whole lot next time because there's so much I want talk about about the gifts of the Spirit and so much more but but I wanna I want to deal with quickly here before we say goodnight the five offices of the of the church and what they are and how they function and some of you are called probably to be in one of them number one the Apostle because we just read in Ephesians four and we'll go back and read it one one more time because it says he gave let's just read that go back to it verse 11 and he gave some apostles so what is an apostle one who sent forth with orders from heaven to be sent forth the function what is the function of the apostle okay now a true apostle establishes churches they establish congregations that's what they did in Bible days number two they ordain elders the real apostle ordains elders a real apostle brings to light the revelation of God's Word causes people to understand the revealed Word of God that's a real apostle so an apostle establishes the Saints he ordains leaders he brings forth revelations through the word to the church and apostle also trains and disciplines the believer his job is to train and discipline also you remember John the Apostle disciplined the church when he talked to them or Paul used a lot of language that was discipline like with Galatians he was disciplining the church in Galatia to tell him not to go back into Judaism and and number five and an apostle is a spiritual father so five things about an apostle an apostle establishes God's people ordains God's leaders brings forth revelations through the word to God's people he also trains and disciplines those in need of training and discipline and finally a father spiritually the the second thing we read in Ephesians 4:11 that God has called some to be prophets he gave some problem now so a prophet is one who reveals God's Word God's plan to a life and also reveals the God's plan in the future so that is a private a prophet according to the scriptures and by the way let's just read Ephesians 2:20 about what is a prophet it says in Ephesians 2 verse 20 and are built let's just go back to verse 19 now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners but fellow City citizens with the Saints and of the household of God and are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and prophets Jesus himself being the chief Cornerstone in whom all the building fitly framed together grows into a holy temple so again I was just about the habitation the body that church is where the Holy Spirit we are the temple we are the body this is the house that the Holy Ghost lives in is the church so when people ask me does the Holy Spirit have a bar si yes the church we are the body so in in acts in acts 11 we read about prophets in the scriptures in the New Testament acts 11 27 through 30 and in these days came prophets from Jerusalem to Antioch and there's and now notice there were more than one and there stood up one of them named Agabus and signified by the spirit there should be a great dearth or famine throughout the world which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar so famine came to the whole Roman world and he knew about it by the spirit and then in acts 13 1 2 4 we also read about prophets now the war in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers and so forth so here here we see that prophets existed now why well number one to confirm direction prophets always confirm God's direction in people's lives they are very important because Ephesians 2:20 and acts 11 and acts 13 talks about they confirm direction in acts 13 they confirm the direction of Paul and where is it to go so it says as they ministered to the Lord the Holy Ghost said separate me Barnabas and all for the work I've called them so that's confirming directions telling someone God has called you to go preach or minister that's what they do no they confirm direction in people's lives also they they confirm the local church they establish believers in the church that's also found in Scripture because many of them hear prophets and teachers like Barnabas and Simon and Lucius and so forth these these were people who confirmed things in the church and we read about them often so these prophets we see in Scripture are not just men but women are prophets Exodus 1520 called called Miriam a prophetess a prophetess Luke 236 there was a lady named Anna who came and spoke of the future of the of the Messiah remember her when Jesus was in the temple as a child she came to confirm his life and ministry was named Anna in acts 21 verse 9 he talks about Philip the Evangelist who had four daughters who were all prophets or propias prophetesses anyways they they had that office so here's one man with four daughters all prophesied yeah I pray your privacy I pray your be prophets and prophetesses no say better ax men than that so so these are these are amazing games we are in and the minister of the Prophet is it's vital very necessary and it's and it's not prophecy I'm not on a prophecy I'm talking about prophets prophets confirm direction come from the Saints strengthen local churches and literally predict the future like a gibbous prepare the church and protect bring protection to the body literally and please understand this prophets have a border and the border is redemption they only minister to the redeemed not in one outside redemption did you get that part all within Redemption and anything they they say has to deal with Redemption not outside Redemption very important now I'm gonna deal with that next time but you know I gotta be careful right now I don't keep you on let's talk about the evangelists he's one who preaches the gospel reaches Souls acts 21 verse 8 talks about the Evangelist and I just in fact just mentioned him 21 verse 8 talks about this dear man who had the four daughters don't you four don't you remember and the next day we that were a Paul's company deported and came unto Caesar eeeh enter into the house of Phillip the Evangelist yeah so this man Philippe had four daughters were all prophet assists and the second time we in there's many scriptures about that I'm gonna give you a few tonight in second Timothy Paul tells Timothy in chapter 4 verse 5 it says watch down all things endure afflictions so you see the Evangelist endure afflictions there's a lot of pain in that ministry do the work of an evangelist make full proof of your ministry so the evangelist who deals in the supernatural because that ministry includes the healing ministry in supranational has afflictions with it that's why not many of them survive long healing ministers don't live long much that's a fact of history I mean because there's so many attacks against them the only ones that survive long are those with families like Otto Roberts survived long Katherine did not Catherine died early Jack Coe died in his 30s hey Alan died early a lot of the great evangelists that had healing ministries did not survive to live long lives Sean Dow V Branham all of them died young or before their time and they all lacked one thing family support that's just a fact of history okay I'm not saying it's in the Bible I'm saying if you look at history so to survive in the supernatural you better be married no seriously seriously married evangelists last long single don't every single evangelist that I ever knew died young that's why I'm still around I have a wife and kids and grandkids even extend your life I have five of them so no no families extend lives that's just a fact of that's been proven not just ministers okay anyone with family support lives long you know quite simple all right so the Evangelist now the Evangelist also his function is not just soul-winning it's to train train soul-winners a soul-winner trained soul winners to win the loss and he also established his local churches under the Apostleship of of apostles when I was an evangelist and I still consider myself to be one eye I would go and minister in the churches of great apostles young eat show and others and there's many great people today like you know pastor stronger in Budapest he's a true apostle a hundred and fifty thousand member churches I'll be with him in about two weeks what an amazing man and when I go there I go in such with such strength because of his of this man's office so when people get saved and healed I know that he is gonna keep him in and establish them and build churches it's just amazing work many many like him many many like it because the minister of the evangelists cannot establish people without a apostle backing them up impossible so you always go with some apostle supporting you and then you're really gonna see long longevity so number four the pastor the pastor that word also means Shepherd and John 10 verse 14 Jesus said I am The Good Shepherd see now so Jesus amazingly called himself a pastor in their precious so a pastor John 10:14 went on I'm the Good Shepherd that know my sheep know true pastor does not know his sheep if he doesn't know them he's not a real guy he's not real pastor and I am known of mine and the father knoweth me even so I know the father and I lay down my life for the Sheep true pastor will do that and other sheep I have which are not of this fold them also I must bring they shall hear my voice and there shall be one fold one Shepherd this is very important for pastors to hear I had a guy with me one time years ago when I was a pastor in Orlando for many years I began I became a pastor in 80 through in 83 to almost the year 2000 and I was I I did not want it but God just he made it very very clear I could not say no to him so the church grew grew real quick we went from zero to ten thousand and three years in Orlando and one guy came up to Monday he was a Spanish gentleman he said pastor I want to start a church here to the Spanish people I said over my dead body will so I got up next Sunday I said all these people that speak Spanish it's time you you all learn English all just get a nice nice uniforms on your ears I said there's only one voice here not to only one Shepherd not to I said to to Shepherds it's like two heads on on on a body that's called a monster so there'll be no monster here I never had a split never had a problem why because I thought what Jesus said one voice one Shepherd today what happens in churches they split because they have more than one Shepherd and there and people want their own ministry not me so when God calls you to be a pastor those sheep are your responsibility if you don't do it right you'll be punished for it you could lose everything and many have many have dear men in Lakeland Florida had a massive Church of 10,000 and some problem happened and he allowed people to you know challenge his authority and I think he was just old and weak and a big split happen and that church didn't didn't last long after that there are church plates everywhere in this country because they have not learned one voice one Shepherd you don't have to Shepherds that's two heads remember what that's called come on now God doesn't call monsters called Shepherds so one voice one Shepherd and I love what it says in John 21 16 the same precious book of John 21 16 says this I'm almost done so but these are important very and you're really enjoying it I'm sure I can I can tell okay so in John chapter 21 verse 16 we read these precious words and he said to him again the second time Simon son of Jonas lovest thou me he said unto him yes Lord thou knows I love thee he said feed my sheep a real tassel is always feeding people food it's like good restaurants I don't care where they are people will find them good food and I've always said if you want to be if you want to have a successful church and be a successful pastor you must have three things number one good food number two good worship number three good location you can't be in the some desert place and think people are gonna find you so make it easy for them to find it first Peter five verse two a real Shepherd says feed the flock of God which is among you taking the oversight that's another that's what a real leader is I'm gonna give you seven things about a real pastor are you ready for it yes so but let me let me let me let me read this taking the oversight thereof not by constraint but willingly not for filthy lucre but I've already mine neither as being lords over God's heritage but being examples to the flock when the chief Shepherd shall appear he shall receive a crown of glory that fades not away likewise you younger Shepherds submit yourselves on to the elder here all of you be subject one to another be clothed with humility so seven things about a real pastor number one he feeds the flock number two he watches for their spiritual health he's always looking over people's spiritual health I just read these over here just taking over site number three he doesn't preach and feed the people for many doesn't do it for money number four and we just read it he does not bring people into bondage it says neither as being lords over God's heritage it doesn't bring anyone into bondage number five he's an example of righteous living it says be being example sort of flock of righteous living know now this is key here this is see this is very key one who was subject to elders in the church men who I have proven to be elders like when I was a pastor I had three pastors in my lifetime one was named Tom you read on a buffalo ii became Oral Roberts and to this day it's Jack Hayford yeah so I have I I've learned from Scripture and from example you better have someone to go to when you're in trouble let him speak into your life and you know pastor Jack today is up in age and I already have someone I go to besides him because of that so there's the we must have that kind of protection even in my age of 60 almost six to eight I look up to somebody who's older than me who've done more than me who's been longer in it than me because it's protection because it says so and here's what it says submit yourselves on to the elder you who are younger well I can consider myself younger than some or still you know alive and then finally it says be clothed with humility pride can killed that ministry so you see the seven things are just read from verse two right through verse five I just gave them to you they feed the flock they watch for spiritual health in them they don't mean they don't minister for many number for they don't bring anyone into bondage number five there are examples of righteous living number six they are subject to someone else over them and number seven clothed with humility and so a pastor his function I just gave it to you but let me just give you a few more he feeds God's people he leads God's people he identifies with God's people so number one he feeds them leads them identifies with him and day with him - and he oversees he tends and guards and I think there's a lot more in the list I just gave you earlier anyways he's like five headlines he feeds he leads he identifies with the flock oversees the flock and guards the flock and number five and then I'm done for tonight the office of a teacher in first Corinthians twelve twenty eight we read about the teacher I gave you a lot tonight because I leave for Europe in a few days and I won't be back till mid-march and I don't want to kind of disappoint you but I'm gonna give you enough to chew on till then so first Corinthians 12 28 talks about the teacher and the teacher is mentioned God has set some in the church first apostles than prophets then teachers so the teacher is is mentioned in first Timothy 3:2 where Paul talks about the importance of a teacher now a teacher according to the scripture first Timothy 3:2 it says you cannot be a teacher and let me just read this because I think it's so important first Timothy 3 and verse 2 a bishop then must be blameless the husband of one wife vigilant sober good behavior given to hospitality and able to teach not given to alcohol not not a striker or greedy for filthy lucre patient not a brawler not covetous so somebody who is able to teach and it talks about someone who desires the office of a bishop but a bishop it says must be a teacher and a teacher has to fit in this list or or otherwise he can't really teach the word how can you teach the word if you're drunk how can you teach the word if if you can't control your tongue control yourself control your family control your money it's impossible and in chapter 3 verse 2 it talks again about the teacher sorry so second Timothy second Timothy I just gave you that in 2nd Timothy 2 verse 2 and the thing that thou has heard of me among many witnesses the same commit to faithful men will be able to teach so teachers establish teachers you can't be a teacher unless you're establishing others to be teachers and then in in verse 24 real quick before I close and thus this is verse 24 of 2nd Timothy 2 and the servant of the Lord must not strive be gentle unto our man so enable to teach impatient nobody can be a teacher without being gentle so here they are they establish God's people in the truth of the world and doctrine which is very important doctrine means it's repeated more than once in the scripture doctrine is established when it's repeated more than three times in the Bible and a teacher instructs the Sheep I just read it to you impart the knowledge of the word like he said you know able to teach impart the word and a teacher enables others to be teachers and a teacher is one who corrects because Paul told Timothy to correct to make sure they're all coming to line with the scriptures and a teacher and I'm gonna say way more about this the next time someone is doing a headline the teacher brings balance to doctrine protects people from error so next time I'm gonna go on with this there's a lot in the world ooh there's so much in the world about this because I really believe there are people sitting in this room who are gonna be magnificent Bible teachers magnificent model teachers and many of you that are watching me but we have to go back now because I you know didn't want to give you a lot of information I've kept you now for it's almost 10 o'clock you've been sitting here listening for 2 and 1/2 hours that's a lot of information to digest you know so but but you you you really need to understand the call I think you understand more tonight then maybe you have in the past of what is the call I think you do don't you yeah so so but wait now the call of God is not you're gonna function properly without the power of the Holy Spirit so in the next class I want to talk about the gifts and the the sets the nations and orders the nation according to what he's doing with the Jewish people what happens to Israel affect the world politically militarily economically and so on so when you look at what what God what happened for example in 1948 when Israel became a nation it changed the world it changed the church forty-eight was a key year in prophecy it was after 48 that the healing ministry came alive in the in the church healing ministers came on the scene like Oral Roberts and bran and Allen and Co and so many others it was flooded with the alien ministry because of 48 and changes happen in the in the world it was after 48 that America became a superpower and Britain ceased to be a superpower was a major shift while Great Britain was no longer great it fell apart in no time lost their they lost their whole empire after 48 so that happened as a result of change in Israel it brought about the rise of the Soviet Union as a world power it brought about change in every part of the world politically even the tale the economy everything changed that was ki67 another amazing prophetic event when Jerusalem was restored to the Jewish people after 67 men went to the moon technology exploded the Apollo program came alive was after 67 in the world we saw massive changes with technology with the economies of the just changes and I'll share more on Monday but we saw a massive change in the church with the outpouring of the holy spirit the charismatic renewal hit that same year when people began to be filled with the spirit and methodist churches baptist churches lutheran churches catholic churches it was called the charismatic movement the other year was 73 after 73 christian TV was born after the war in israel so we are coming now into a massive my opinion massive war with iran that's in the making now every day when you look at what's going on it's like oh they're coming closer and closer russia is not in syria for nothing turkey is not in turmoil in turmoil in syria for nothing you've got all these forces coming together like Hezbollah the Turks the Russians the Iranians as it's like an alignment of Nations against Israel Hamas in the South and changes happening so rapidly between Israel and the Gulf states Egypt Saudi Arabia and nobody thought would ever take place there are positive changes politically well all this says one thing massive war is on the horizon possibly nuclear let's hope not but it's it's really getting to be frightening just watching the puzzle come together yes but this election is March 2nd we're talking days from now it's they've already pre elected they're already in the pre so think about if and here's what I say if Beebe wins it accelerates prophecy if he loses it delays prophecy if nobody wins it endangers the history of the world yeah and I'll tell you why but I won't do it tonight I'm serious if there is no winner in this third election chaos it could mean the day they will have to undo all they did since 48 and build all over again demolish the system of parliament and so for the song chaos and so we we as God's people I I'm gonna tell you it's in our hands on our knees we have so much power in our lips we don't realize it to make change are you people listening the minute you understand prophecy you can get on your knees like Daniel you know when he's when here at The Book of Jeremiah but
