BENETTI'S STUNNING 40 METER "OASIS" SUPERYACHT. YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO SEE THIS TO BELIEVE IT!

in the past few weeks i've had the pleasure of filming no less than two banetti yachts in the 35 to 40 meter size range each one of them were over nine years old but each one of them offered you all that you could ever want for in a yacht so where do banetti go in their never-ending endeavor to improve their products how do you improve upon the most popular yachts in its size range well today they've invited me on board one of their new models and let me tell you it's going to take benetti into the new decade and far beyond [Music] this is called the benetti oasis 40 meters of glorious design from the drawing board of british studio rwd and then created by the finest of italian craftsmen in bernetti's facility this boat has everything you will ever want from your yacht plus more so much more but as you call this the suv of the sea so i suppose that would be a sports utility vessel and they say so with good reason that imposing bow and the vertical bridge windshield give it the no-nonsense appearance of a hardy explorer vessel but move along the side profile and you'll see a more elegant line something they're keen to point out is the nod at the automotive industry with those long side windows framed by metallic silver paintwork at a time when most builders are trying to blend the windows into the superstructure it's a bold move by benetti to make them into a design feature in my opinion it is that kind of bravery that makes benetti such a desirable builder without a doubt though the feature that most people will talk about on this yacht is the transom an absolute tribute to well thought out design listening to what yacht owners want and then delivering it to them by the spateful it goes to that saying that any owner who wants to relax on his yacht and enjoy easy access to the sea we'll be delighted to see this inviting arrangements with ever descending levels where one can sit and enjoy an open air and scenery enjoy an evening cocktail a quick dip in the seven square meter infinity plunge pool or simply use a wonderfully designed swim ladder to easily access the inviting waters of the ocean the deck space on the oasis is simply extraordinary and they're that way by design because that is what benetti's ever-growing client base wants from their yachts and so that is what bernessi are building for them the shipyards say that this yacht is aimed at families who enjoy an active and sporty life people who want to spend more time at sea at anchor rather than sleeping every night in a port they expect to attract a youthful and dynamic client base with this yacht so i asked somebody a little more youthful and more dynamic than i to look closer at how benetti in collaboration with rwd have accomplished this remarkably open plan of the oasis actually open really is the right word to use most yacht builders are trying to offer yachts with big windows and lots of light in them but on every other yacht you look towards the stern and you see an aft deck with aft deck furniture and stairs leading up to the upper decks as you can imagine it can get pretty cluttered but look at this on the benetti oasis you see nothing at all just ocean and actually it's pretty interesting how they've achieved this let me show you how first of all by designing the aft deck at ever decreasing levels it is of course hidden from the view of the main lounge which is at a higher level the really difficult part though is to hide the steps up to the upper deck and once again benetti have made a courageous decision here by simply not having them at all and if you think that may be a hindrance for guests wanting to pass from one deck to another you'd be wrong just look at what a wonderful flow there is from the spacious off deck to a glorious four deck and then up to a spacious and well-appointed sundeck that will undoubtedly be a hugely popular area for sipping cocktails from the bar fine dining or simply hanging out by the spa tub meanwhile the upper off deck is reserved as a private terrace for the sky lounge again with completely uninterrupted views let's talk for a moment about the interiors though and it's new york design studio bonnetti and kozerski that were responsible for this remarkably fresh and modern interior design now i could talk about the lounge areas and the astonishing main deck master stateroom and remarkable four state rooms below deck but i prefer to tell you a little about the designers themselves since this is yet another courageous choice from the benetti shipyard this is the first time bonnetti and kozerski have been involved in interior yacht design and the benefits of a fresh and innovative view are immediately evident their land-based projects include the pace gallery headquarters in new york they've worked extensively with donna karan of new york and have a host of international prestigious clients the choice of interiors for the benetti oasis is in fact a breath of fresh air as befits a yacht with so much open space beautiful natural fabrics and clean modern surfaces harmonizing open plan floor space to create a casual chic atmosphere that any owners and their guests will surely find relaxing even over the longest of cruises at the beginning of this video i did say that benetti are building four youthful and dynamic owners to spend a lot of time on this yacht but you need a lot more than beautiful aesthetic design to make that happen as eduardo found out [Music] why yes to attract a more youthful and dynamic yacht owner you need youthful and dynamic ideas the benetti oasis is full of them let me give you a few examples starting here in the helm station well a home station without a helm wheel is already a pretty novel idea to start with but you can drive the yacht either with autopilot or with the joystick but let me tell you a little bit more about this area to start with this futuristic wheelhouse is incredibly innovative in its use of space and technology it's not just a place for the captain and crew to navigate like on most yachts here we have a solution to allow the owner and guests to enjoy being in this room too wrapped almost entirely in full height windows this extremely open space offers unparalleled capability for navigation you'll notice that this star trek esque design is built around two modules actually the base of each module takes all of the cables from the instruments to a centralized rack for ease of maintenance and these are made from carbon fiber supplied by a company called mako shark who by the way also supply helicopter components and italian supercar company ferrari now let's spare a moment to tell you about the water toys too a 6.3 tender fits neatly into a side opening garage where there's space also for a personal watercraft and that apart from the second personal watercraft that can fit into the forward garage to say nothing of a toy locker hidden away in the deck of the transom [Music] when you view the banetti oasis at sea she does cut a very impressive figure and i was keen to give you a good overview of the yacht but benetti's staff were also very keen to show me the details their obsessive desire to excel in quality and in durability the quality of the soundproofing and the anti-vibration on board is remarkable with the use of elastic joints and thrust bearings the durability of the teak which is carefully sourced for sustainability and can be thicker than is contractually required because they want it to last benetti said to me they're not interested in meeting clients expectations they want to exceed them [Music] benetti have a new mantra called obiativo cinquanta cinquanta of course meaning 50 and the idea being that an owner could keep this yacht for 50 years without ever getting tired of her she would still look great and she'd still be a useful practical yacht that an owner feels proud to own benetti are building for the now but they're also building for the future and the benetti oasis is a significant step forward in that [Music] objective you
