Inside the $21 Million Benetti B.Yond 37M Superyacht | Forbes

hi this is Bill Springer senior contributor at Forbes and today we're going to see the benetti Beyond 37 meter it's the American debut and I can't wait to show you the entire design of this boat is revolutionary and believe me I've seen a lot of boats and I don't say that lightly they've been able to take a boat that's only 120 feet long and make it feel like it's about 180 feet long my favorite features of the benetti Beyond 37 meter first of all is the main Salon you have a full view through the entire yacht from the stern to the very front of the yacht which never happens on a boat of any size usually and certainly not a boat that's only 37 meters 120 feet long feel like you're on the main deck when in fact the main deck is one deck below you but it's entertaining all the way from the stern to the four Deck with a clear passage all the way through and that's why the staircase is built the way it is so you can see right through the stairs and you got glass around it and you can look all the way to the jacuzzi on the four deck [Music] the base price on this is 20 million euros and if you want the hybrid package you add an extra 1.5 million euros so when you open these doors you're really connected to the outdoors instead of putting the dining in the center of the salon where you disconnect it from the outside we now open these doors fully and you're adjacent to the people having a cigar on the lounge or somebody hanging out in jacuzzi we're here in the owner's cabin now can you describe how you have been able to sort of put such a large comfortable space on what's relatively a smaller yacht so this space would be typically considered a Sky Lounge but in this particular case we have two different layout options where you can bring the owner's cabin from the main deck up to the bridge deck and have your own private deck area that you only share with a wheelhouse nothing under 40 meters in steel Compares with us nobody's ever done anything like this before [Music] so this boat is equipped with six cabins we have four VIPs on this main deck two VIPs forward two VIPs after they're same size they're massive cabins we have the owner's cabin on the bridge deck plus we have the sixth cabin which is another VIP Suite down there that could be a gym or a spa massage room whatever you want it to be if you wanted to have the fifth cab and the owner's cabin down there you would lose this bonus room which is why the founder of our company said this is a great spot for the grandkids to play cards to work in their laptops to watch a movie over here but for a privately owned vessel this is a beautiful layout the owner of benetti was intimately involved with the design yeah and he wanted to build a boat that could be a multi-generational yacht and have all these different great social spaces throughout the Yacht for the grown-ups for the kids I think he's hit all the marks in terms of accomplishing that we've been rewarded with that with nine orders so people like what they see and they've trusted us with our checkbook a couple of quick takeaways first of all they've really nailed the design they've been able to put a lot of big boat features into a small space it's really comfortable the proportions are right and I could easily see a family taking this out on an adventure or taking it on a chart is well suited for both [Music]
