But have you ever wondered what is like to be a beggar in North Korea? we were able to get in touch with a group of North Korean defectors living in South Korea, who have lived through it all here are their stories. The following content may be disturbing. Viewer discretion is advised. When did you become homeless in North Korea? I became homeless in 1997. I became homeless in 1997. I was 11 at the time.
