Beginner Boogie Woogie #1

hi Darryl here from fast track piano calm where you can learn lots of piano lessons online but today I'm going to show you a little tip on how to play some boogie woogie blues type piano right from the very beginning this is basic basic stuff okay so come over and we'll have a have a look boogie woogie yeah no that's too hard I'll show you some easy stuff fingers this is as basic as you can get folks got those fingers out yep now we're gonna come down here see the two black notes porch a third finger on there there's your thumb second finger third finger and your second finger on that note there e so you've got a space in between so that's C with your third finger e with your second finger now your right hand we're gonna play G and I know those two notes are next to one another so we've got a space in there and we'll get a space in there now you've got your fingers ready to go this is the basic boogie woogie pattern that I'm going to show you now what you got to do is you just play the bottom note then this one then this one then this one and we'll develop it here we go oh yeah we would okay so that's really basic using those fingers but when I was playing earlier you probably saw me doing some fancy stuff in the right hand now if I'm playing with those two hands like that you'll never be able to do the fancy stuff in the right hand so how do we get around that so instead of doing this with your two hands now that you've got the pattern we're going to get rid of the right hand all together I'm gonna put my thumb over here just so I can remember where those notes are now this is left hand only we're going to put the little finger of the left hand on the bottom note see there we go we're going to put our third finger one two three on this note here e we're going to put our second finger on the G and we're gonna put our thumb on the a there they have is the four notes now this is a bit harder because if you're a beginner these fingers are going to be the slow to work but let's give it a try bottom note next one next one next one okay let's keep doing that you just keep playing that until it starts the film BC yeah you boogy Woogy lesson number one next week hopefully I'll have number two for you be patient and do it a hundred times and it'll become easier but you've got to do it over and over otherwise it you'll never be able to do it good luck
