BECOMING LIFEGUARDS FOR 24 HOURS!

he needs cpr i really do think you need cpr all today we're gonna become lifeguards for a day with the help of a red cross certified lifeguard hi my name is andre and i've been a lifeguard for the past five years hey i'm james charles nice to meet you why do you guys want to become lifeguards so we're trying to throw our friends a pool party but they don't know how to swim so it might come in handy knowing how to save our friends in case one of the girls needs cpr all right so first things first to become a lifeguard you have to dress like a lifeguard all right so now that they're all dressed up we can now get into some basic cpr training so we're all going to be making out with each other i think we need to get some more girls up in here wait so what is this right here well this is a cpr doll right here okay let me make sure it's alive first okay so that's not what you do no you don't kill them so if you're ever at a pool party and someone just happens to drown and you need to save them the first thing you have to do is approach the scene and make sure it's actually safe you're gonna assign one lifeguard to call 9-1-1 then after realizing the scene is safe you get down on your knees and just hit them a couple times don't hit them hard but like slap them aggressively just be like hey are you okay are you okay if they're not okay they won't wake up and then you'll know you have to do cpr so the first thing you want to do is you're going to grab the dummy you're going to pinch their nose tilt their back don't pinch their nose so that way they can hold this i don't think he wants to give a secret and you're going to do 30 chest compression so you're going to do it to the rhythm of staying alive so it's like staying alive staying alive you continue that until they gain consciousness has there ever been a time when you saw a cute girl and she really didn't need cpr but you kept like convincing her she needed cpr you know never happened thankfully okay what about to a guy because i don't know all the time so now we're going to put you guys through a little cpr test so i'm going to split the teams to alex and tanner and alan cat and let's see how good you guys can do now remember the first step assess the situation are they unconscious hey wake up wait wake the [ __ ] up wake up okay okay if they weren't unconscious earlier they definitely are person and i'm gonna give you the example of how to do it tanner doesn't even know how to swim so you don't have to ask so you're going to go from behind and put both arms underneath his armpits flip him over to you and you're going to bring him back to shore and then once you're here you're going to take them up and off the desk and now he's dead that was easy i can do that put him on his back and bring him all the way back to the steps where we can take him to safety wow better than him all right alex you pass wow certified lifeguard right here oh oh man you're having arms under both arms this is a workout allen you pass as well wow that easy save me did you fail that kindergartner could pass that test she found her kindergarten test that's why a kindergartner math test all right so at the end of the day these three passed and she failed all right before you guys have your pool party today what's the most important thing you learned that over 70 percent of you guys who watch your ever since they became lifeguards i feel like they think that they're too cool for us i mean they're not even doing their job they won't even talk to us i know like i mean first of all alex he's too fat he's not gonna by the time he gets to me i'm gonna be dead already but with that being said we have an idea since they said no water balloons at the pool we were going to throw water balloons at them oh for sure [Music] this was i'm gonna have to give him out the mouth too right now we're about to have a chicken fight me and andrew versus allen and brent versus kat and logan wait what the [ __ ] what are you guys ready wait we're not doing it i'll be the referee yeah here we go [Applause] that was a tie and now i know why they call it a chicken fight so lexi's been laying here for a long time i think she might be unconscious and i think i remember during the cpr training that if someone was unconscious that you have to follow the proper steps and give them some cpr so right now i'm gonna be a good lifeguard and give lexi some mouth-to-mouth resuscitation okay here we go she's unconscious check to see if she's breathing she's not all right melt the mouth here we go what are you doing giving you mouth mouth why you weren't breathing you were unconscious i was breathing just fine i was trying to save your life well even if i wasn't breathing i would rather you let me die than give me mouth-to-mouth yeah what are you doing lexi he needs cpr oh yeah i might need some cpr lexi hey alex i really do think you need cpr yeah i i do i do please all right andrew you got it didn't work out like we thought it would i'm gonna be honest the only reason why we became lifeguards and cpr certified is so we could kiss girls that need a savings as you guys can see that didn't
