Beach Metal Detecting - Surprise Old Gold Find

okay guys so we're back at it again low tide at the moment which is good i normally miss these low tides because they're really early like 3 4 a.m in the morning so i'm happy to hit a low tide uh conditions are looking a little bit flat there was a huge typhoon here a few days ago and i went hunting the next morning and i found nothing well i found trash but nothing of interest which was surprising and also my local friend uh hunter he also found nothing so it's always the days that you expect to do well you don't it just kind of works that way sometimes with metal detecting okay first target 11 13. so i'm digging between the iron again guys at times like this i would like the new xp deus 2. it seems to um cut for the iron very well i think this one's up okay that's like some shrapnel okay let's get going 21 25. so this area was once um a rock oh there it is it's a key yeah so before um this area was just covered in rocks and uh now you can see there so the storm has washed all the sand in and the rocks are covered now so kind of weird i got this uh interesting target seven eight sounds very sharp but there was um she's got there was an old lady watching so i kind of just marked this and then kept hunting she went away anyway let's see what it is it sounds very small whatever it is but it's nice and sharp and that's 15. okay the target has totally changed i don't know if that's a second target or not okay that could be zip pull okay guys beautiful sounding target sold three four let's see what it is that's a solid one too i think this is not going to be anything interesting once you get down this deep you're at a small gold range okay i have no idea okay 16 up to 20 down to 12. let's see what it is it's nice not fighting the waves today they can become exhausting i had very little sleep last night struggling a bit okay ah it's like a bullet but it also looks like a pendant it's got a little hook on the end of it i don't know bullet i'm at the new cart it looks okay you can see kind of like a bowl here and then it slopes upwards so uh let's see if we can find something okay there's another target right next to the hole i just dug oh okay this sounds very compact it's like cement this one's down deep okay i think that got it it's still a 10. okay looks like a coin that's a ring oh i'll rinse this one off okay cool i think it's a junk of it it's a ring nonetheless it's got that green to it so it's been down there a long time okay guys nice sounding three target second target in the honey hole okay see something shining it is a ring uh yeah i guess this is stainless guys sorry yeah it looks kind of crusty oh yeah maybe it's not stainless yeah it's very light okay well there's rings around here this is a good sign let's keep going [Music] oh okay very nice sounding 13. says it's not deep okay i see something green oh wow it's another ring i'm gonna go rinse this one off okay there it is across the ring okay 12. sounds good all right good no crusty coin ah ten dong this is an old coin from vietnam when they had coins in circulation ten dong must be worth like a fraction of a cent probably a bullet it's a washer we got a zip ball beaver tail copper wire sunglasses full tab that's just like a hook maybe a bullet is that some bling have a key a blob soft target six still down there two okay it's allowed to now hey what is this okay i think that could be a ring a ring from a different century yeah it's all crossed it up okay let's get going okay guys just dug this uh 15 target i didn't turn the camera on because the battery's about to die but i found myself another crusty ring okay guys not a bad sounding 12 put in it's getting towards the end of the hunt out of energy okay she'll be out okay let's see something big uh okay just some wire tied up maybe some copper wire okay okay guys so welcome to the wrap up uh let's go through the fines so uh we found a lot of keys a lot of keys this time of year with the storms and also a lot of bullets are washing up uh this one looks live still it's um quite heavy as well kind of an odd shape uh yeah these are kind of the normal shape that i find and yeah just some unknown trash i don't know what a lot of this stuff is uh i found some coins uh some of these are really old so there's a ten dong vietnamese coin i think these were from back in the 60s uh i also noticed there was a united states quarter i think this one's a quarter i didn't check the date on that one there's also a dime so i'm pretty sure we got back in the 60s and 70s on this hunt uh back to the war time in vietnam uh okay so five rings today and most of these are junk uh this one is you can see the copper leaking out of this one uh this one's just to cross it up i'm guessing this one's um stainless this one may be silver i'm not sure i've got to clean that one up ah this is also another kind of stainless steel uh wave star one but the surprise of the day guys is this one so um i wasn't gonna make a video for this because i know i just didn't really like the fines but then i thought you know what five ring day that's even if it's junk rings it's still not a bad day i should make a video so i threw the rings in the tumbler and yeah this come out and it was gold color i'm like for real so anyway i did the acid test and this one held up to the 10 carat test but the 14k ate it away so um yeah this is a gold the diamond in there is not real um it tests negative but um i'll quickly weigh this in this one's around 2 grams [Music] the diamond fell out uh yeah 2.1 grams so yeah pretty cool find i'm guessing this one is from back in the war times and because it's low carrot it got really crusty and most of the gold i find here in asia is higher carrot normally 14 18k so when it comes out of the sand it's already really shiny so i don't really find much of this low carrot gold in um in vietnam so yeah it kind of threw me off i had no idea i'd found some gold in this hunt that looked like a crusty junk ring anyway guys i'm going to leave it at that as always please give me a thumbs up if you enjoyed this hunt and i will see you on the next one
